Abstract

Description
本发明具体涉及以一定间隔切割一卷材(例如用于在装过滤嘴机器中把香烟与过滤嘴连起来的卷纸)的装置的控制。本文中的卷材切割包括以一定的间隔在两个元件之间(其中至少一个最好是转动件)的配合。切割可以例如是用例如在一个元件上的刀片及另一元件上的砧之间的轧断的作用来达到。或者,切割可以用例如在本申请人的PCT专利申请WO 94/14583(卷号3643)中所述的超声方法来达到。
在轧断及超声切割中,要求控制互相配合以进行切割的两切割元件之间的相对位置以使切割力足够但又不会过分。本发明具体涉及特别用于上述卷材切割装置中的自动控制系统。
按照本发明的周期地把可控制力加到运动件(例如要切割的纸卷)上的装置,包括一加力件,和产生指示由加力件施加的力及用来控制加力件以便控制其加到运动件上的力的控制电信号的装置,控制信号借助锁定放大器产生,该放大器上被加上一个响应力的电信号及一个参考信号,因而锁定放大器消除或减小了在控制信号中的任何杂音成分。
使用这种装置,尽管几乎不可避免地伴随着来自传感器的信号的杂音(例如在下面说明的那样),但可得到平均切割力或每次切割产生的力(例如),允许调整其中一个切割元件的位置以便得到要求水平的切割力。例如,在切割装过滤嘴卷纸(一般称为“软木纸”)装置中,切割元件可调定在一定的位置,使得在没有卷纸时,在两切割元件之间只有轻微的接触,而在使用有卷纸的情形下,会有足够的但不过分的力施加上足以切断卷纸,不管切割是用超声驱动的切割元件或如普通装过滤嘴机中进行软木切割的简单的轧断切割操作都可做到这样。
锁定放大器本身是已知的,在市场上有出售。例如,可参考Cambridge University出版社出版的Paul Horowitz和Winfield Hill著的书“电子技术”。在第2版15.15节中有“锁定探测”及其一些应用的说明。可用来实施本发明的市场上可得到的锁定放大器的一个实例是由“Analog Devices”公司生产的AD 630产品(1 Technology Way;P,O,Box 9106,Norwood,MA 02062-9106,USA)。

图1示出了一个辊10,一卷装过滤嘴的纸卷包在其上被传送,并且前端部由超声切割装置切下。该切割装置包括一个超声驱动的凸头12,其与绕着辊10的圆周以一定的角度间隔设置的多个稍微突起的突起元件14配合切断纸卷。该装置可更具体地参考申请人的上述PCT专利申请中的图16,17来说明。突起元件14是比较尖的尖边的刀片而相配合的凸头12的表面作为砧;或如图1所示,元件14构成砧而相配合的凸头12的边构成“刀片”。
凸头12由超声波驱动以便由超声压电致动器16通过助力器18使凸头12振动朝向及离开辊10。在区域19,有一个零位移的波节,凸头可夹紧在该处以支承整个组件。由于压电致动器的超声激励,在凸头12的切割端发生(例如)频率为20KHz的60-70μm的位移。
图2是通过另一装置的外壳20的纵向剖面图,该装置包括一凸头21,装在内壳体22内并具有一“切割”边21A。内壳体22由线性轴承24(例如PTFE)可滑动地安装在外壳20中,使得内壳体可相对主外壳20垂直移动。这种移动由装置23控制,装置23有一个主体,由装在外壳20上的梁26支承着,还有一个活动件28,从主体的下端延伸出并连接到内壳体22的端壁。借助该装置。砧10的位置可精细地调节。装置23可包括一压电致动器或转换器,例如由德国的physik仪器公司(德国,Waldbronn,D-76337,PI公司)制造的一种,一个合适的例子是型号为P-841.30的LVPZ转换器。
在每次切割操作中传送到砧上的力由一个涡流传感器30探测出,该传感器30安装在内壳体22内并与砧的相对表面稍微隔开。从传感器30导出的电信号送到图3中所示的控制电路。
在图3中,一些电路元件如下:

D-峰探测器。
参见图3,涡流传感器30的模拟电压输出与砧离开传感器的参考面的位移成正比。第一级控制电路修整传感器信号,除去伴随着信号的大量杂音。该部分电路基于锁定放大器32的周围。电路使用超声参考信号解调传感器信号,和要求参考信号和传感器信号之间有一个控制的相差。参考信号从信号源38接收,并通过相调节电路元件40供送,在传感器30到锁定放大器的电路中还有相调节装置34。电路元件31,36,39和42提供任何必要的信号增益。低通过滤器44过滤掉残余的噪音。半波整流器46除去信号中的不希望部分,增益由电路元件45调节。图4A示出修整的传感器信号的典型的波形,它说明放大器的峰与砧离开传感器的位移成正比,并因此与切割元件作用的力成正比。当传感器信号超过预定的门槛值,测出刀片与砧之间有接触。在刀片与砧接触期间可产生刀片撞击外皮的信号(图4b)。
峰探测器47测出单个的刀片/砧的扰动力,其捕获在刀撞击外皮期间产生的修整的传感器信号的最大水平(参见图4c)。电流元件61监测出过分的切割力,通过自动调节切割元件或止动机器而防止切割装置过早的失效。
一个取样保持电路储存扰动信号的峰值(其与在各切割操作中作用在砧上的力相当)以产生最大扰动信号(见图4D)。电路元件50储存在各次切割中得到的扰动信号,但是在辊10的每转中由电路元件52重调一次;假定在辊10上有16把刀片,这在实践中是典型的,元件52可以是a/16的元件。
另一个取样保持电路54储存在辊10的每转中得到的最大信号,一个差分放大器56把各个最大值与参考值比较。得到的信号用来控制驱动压电致动器23的电路元件58。致动器23产生的用来控制砧的位置的移动量与加到致动器上的电压成正比。该运动量受控制以保持扰动信号在可接受的范围内。
图3示出了用于对砧定位的马达驱动器60,其是压电致动器的可能的替换方案。
图3中所示的电路监控最大及最小扰动信号,并可用来把该两信号保持在可接受的范围内。例如当最小信号低于可接受的范围内,并且在不把最大值带到可接受的范围外不能由砧10的移动带到可接受的范围的情形下,产生一警报信号或者机器自动切断以允许刀片重磨或手工调节。
通过用低通过滤器51使最大扰动信号光滑可得到平均的扰动。
通过调整凸头组件的位置,可由把平均扰动水平控制在一固定值来控制平均切割力。电路元件58有效地作为一个窗口比较器,两个门槛值设定在一要求的固定值,这样监控平均扰动信号。当平均扰动模拟信号的水平偏离到窗口门槛值的外面,调节凸头致动器以使平均扰动恢复到窗口值内。因此通过把平均扰动保持在一个固定水平可达到基本恒定的切割力。窗口的孔隙设定成与致动器的断续负荷容量的平均切割力变化的要求的精度相当。
在单个刀片之间磨损的过分的变化受到监控以便把一个周期的最大和最小拢动保持在可接受的范围内。在辊的每个周期(转)中最大扰动水平储存在取样保持电路54中。在刀片辊的下一个周期,与每次切割有关的峰值扰动水平与前一周期储存的最大扰动比较。该两信号之间的差值就是切割扰动的变化。该电路提供了自动探测刀片磨损和指示系统已处在切割装置可自动调节的极值外,因而不再使全部刀片可保持一致的切割质量的装置。
代替把凸头12在辊10的每转中保持在一个设定位置,可由压电致动器在适当位置控制,以便在每个切割操作中产生要求的扰动信号。这一改型要求致动器对每一刀片接收一扰动信号,并控制例如在辊的十六分之一转中砧的位置。更具体地,电路需要储存在辊的每转中各刀片的扰动信号,因而刀片下次与砧接合时可合适地定位。
一个类似的控制电路可用来控制在一个普通的轧断-切割装置中各刀片的位置,例如在本申请人的US 4372327中所述的类型。为此,与辊上的砧表面配合的转动刀片的支座最好有如辊上的砧表面一样多的刀片。在各刀片和辊上的相应的砧表面之间的配合由控制刀片支座的位置的压电致动器调节。该位置一般可响应在该情形下由邻近刀片支座的或装着刀片支座的一部分的一个传感器探测的平均或最大扰动信号来调节。或者,压电致动器可以重设定刀片支座的位置,以便达到在各刀片和相应的砧之间要求的配合。另一个可能性原则上是刀片支座可对每刀片包括一个分开的压电致动器。
图5示出了一个不同的安排,其包括一个软木切割辊62,该辊设有16片碳化钨刀片63,以规则的间隔设在辊的圆周上,刀刃从辊的表面突起。一个超声凸头64作为一个砧,与各刀刃配合,在装过滤嘴软木纸65通过辊60时,把它切断,以制出单个的软木片65A。
总的标为64A的超声凸头组件以20KHz的频率受正弦波的驱动,它的振动位移由如参考第一实施例那样的助力器放大。由于超声激励的结果,在砧64的切割端产生频率为20KHz的60-70μm的位移。
超声凸头组件由两个弯曲装置68安装在基座66上,弯曲装置固定住凸头组件的横向位置,但允许轴向位移。这种用于调整目的的轴向位移可以由粗调装置70及细调装置72及压电致动器74来完成。还设有通过调节装置76调节砧相对刀片辊的垂直度的装置。
压电致动器74可膨胀小于90μm,产生一小于800N的力。如图3所示的电路用来控制致动器74,以便在砧64和各刀片62之间的切割力达到要求的水平。压电致动器74通过导线78进行与控制电路的连接,在凸头组件64A上通过装置80设有供过滤空气的装置及电连接。
下面的改型证明是可行的。传感器30省去了。代替之,申请人发现在各切割操作中力的作用在用来驱动超声凸头的超声驱动信号中反映出。因此,输到锁定放大器的输入信号可从驱动信号分出。一个参考信号也可以驱动信号分出,借助合适的相调节可应用到锁定放大器。
另一个可能的改型如下:代替超声驱动件在适当位置调节以控制力,可以至少部分由改变超声振动的振幅来控制该力。
Claims (11)
1.一种周期地把可控制力加到运动件上的装置,包括一加力件(12),和产生指示由加力件施加的力及用来控制加力件以便控制其加到运动件上的力的控制电信号的装置(30),控制信号借助锁定放大器(32)产生,该放大器(32)上被加上一个响应力的电信号及一个参考信号,因而锁定放大器消除或减小了在控制信号中的任何杂音成分。
2.按照权利要求1的装置,其特征在于所述的加力件(12)是振动的,最好是超声振动的,可把力加到运动件上。
3.按照权利要求1或2的装置,用于以规则的间隔切断纸卷(65)形式的运动件,通过加力件(12;64)与纸卷支承件(14;63)的配合使纸卷在两个元件之间轧断而进行切割。
4.按照权利要求2或3的装置,其特征在于所述的响应力的信号由一个探测器(30)产生,所述的探测器(30)安排成测出加力件(21)进行每次切割时的位移量。
5.按照权利要求4的装置,其特征在于所述的探测器(30)包括一个邻近加力件(21)安装的涡流装置。
6.按照权利要求2和3的装置,其特征在于所述的加力件由一个超声驱动器(16;64A)超声驱动,超声驱动器由一个振荡器驱动,振荡器送到超声驱动器的驱动信号由切割力的作用修改,响应力的信号及参考信号(带有必要的相控制)由驱动信号分出。
7.按照权利要求2-6中任一项的装置,其特征在于所述的加力件施加的力安排成可由控制地位移加力件来控制。
8.按照权利要求7的装置,其特征在于包括一个压电致动器(23;74),所述的加力件由该致动器按需要定位以控制由其施加到运动件上的力。
9.按照权利要求6的装置,其特征在于由所述的加力件加到运动件上的力安排成通过控制超声振动的振幅来控制。
10.按照权利要求7-9中任一项的装置,其特征在于所述的运动件是由转动的辊支承着的卷纸,所述的辊的圆周上间隔设有多个与加力件配合的切割卷纸的部分,还包括控制电路,使得加力件的位置相对所述的辊的圆周上间隔设的部分控制。
