技术领域
本发明涉及包含一层或多层含纤维素材料层的液板。特别是,本发明涉及无菌包装用的液板(liquid board),所述液板设计成抵抗对其进行处理的杀菌剂的渗透、尤其是边缘渗透。
背景技术
对液体产品如液体奶制品或果汁进行包装的包装由涂布的纸板制成,所述纸板称为液板。对液板进行特定的设计以便具有抵抗其所填充的液体的作用。特别是,纸板的切割边缘必须进行保护以防液体的渗透,即所谓的边缘渗透。对于液体奶制品,液体中最具攻击性的成分是乳酸。因此,纸板对乳酸的渗透是疏水化的,这通常借助中性施胶剂而实现,所述中性施胶剂即:当在7以上的pH值下施加时,产生最佳疏水性的施胶剂。常用的中性施胶剂包含至少一种疏水的、纤维素活性的疏水剂和阴离子、阳离子或两性的聚合物,通常是阳离子活性淀粉。疏水的、纤维素活性的疏水剂常由烷基烯酮二聚体(AKD)或烯基丁二酸酐(ASA)类的化合物组成。这些化合物是纤维素活性的,并直接结合至纤维素的羧基基团上。
对于无菌液板,另外还有一种情况是,在填充有液体食品之前,纸板必须进行杀菌/消毒。通常,借助在增加的温度如约70℃,与过氧化合物如过氧化氢溶液的接触而对液板的包装进行消毒。然而,还有一种情况是,液体(消毒液)不许渗透纸板,绝大多数暴露部分是切割边缘。然而,不幸的是,通常用来防止乳酸渗透的手段,即中性施胶不能防止过氧化合物如过氧化氢的渗透。因此,通常借助第二疏水剂、常称之为树脂施胶剂,使液板对过氧化物的渗透疏水化。树脂施胶剂通常包含松木树脂和/或胶树脂。所述树脂包含树脂酸和少部分的脂肪酸。市售的疏水剂由所谓的强化树脂组成,强化树脂意指:已另外地引入了羧基以增加其留着趋势。树脂施胶剂借助明矾固着至纤维素表面上。阳离子树脂施胶剂理论上可以在没有明矾下使用,但利用明矾时实际效果将更佳。
利用中性施胶剂和树脂施胶剂的疏水化纸板将出现的问题是:对于不同的施胶剂在不同pH值时,疏水化才起最佳作用。正如所述的那样,中性施胶剂在7以上的pH值时起最佳作用,而树脂施胶剂在低于7的pH值时起最佳作用。这意味着必须施加平衡溶液。然而,对于这两种施胶剂,不使用最佳pH意味着它们必须以更大的量使用,这将招致额外的费用,并且还将出现在水体系中循环的残余化学剂的问题,因此,将由于发泡和絮片等而使体系不稳定。
在US5,456,800中,针对所指出的问题提出了一种溶液,即使用施胶组合物以便防止过氧化氢和乳酸的渗透,并且能够有利地在中性至碱性pH下施加。所述的施胶组合物包含热固性树脂、纤维素活性的疏水剂和非纤维素活性的疏水剂。树脂施胶剂和蜡包含树脂酸和脂肪酸,在留着率差的情况下,它们将形成泡沫并起泡沫稳定剂的作用。如下,在US5,456,800中,没有讨论有关抗外部压力的问题和低密度纸板层的疏水化问题。
在防止液体渗透的处理中,还必须考虑纸板的密度。液板通常有中间层(中心层),其密度低于外层,目的在于使纸板具有希望的机械性能,如刚性。中间层在此起赋予松厚性层的作用。然而,在低密度时,表面能具有较小的作用,并且必须使用大量施胶剂,以取得所希望的疏水作用。
此外,在某些种类的转化设备中,在消毒时,纸板将被输送入过氧化氢浴中,纸板将经受相当于浴中液柱的外部压力的作用。通过外部压力,表面化学作用的重要性将降低,而毛细结构占据了更重大的地位。因此,当存在外部压力时,将更难于通过表面化学作用来减少过氧化氢的渗透。
发明内容
根据本发明,提供了一种设计成减少或消除上述问题的液板。因此,根据权利要求1,本发明提供了一种液板。
当纸板用消毒剂进行处理时,本发明在液面处实现了压力平衡:

在消毒体系中,外部压力是恒定的并且不能改变。在常规体系中,利用常规的施胶法,毛细压力以这样的方式降低,以致于渗透液和纤维之间的接触角借助施胶剂量而增加,这将使纸板疏水。
另外,本发明还基于纸板中流体阻力(flow resistance)增加这样的事实,尤其是在纸板边缘处,其中,纸板中的一层或多层包含能够与消毒剂反应或使之分解的添加剂,所述消毒剂是用来对所述液板进行处理的,于是,在纸板切割处产生气体层,其抵抗了液体的渗透。
根据本发明的一方面,产生了气体层,其中添加至纸板中的催化剂或其它化合物使过氧化合物分解成氧气,例如将过氧化氢分解成氧气和水。优选的是,所述催化剂或化合物选自金属盐、金属氧化物或酶。作为产生所希望作用的化合物的例子,可以引证的有锰矿石(MnO2)或过氧化氢酶。所形成的氧气将形成保护气体层、即阻挡层,它将阻止过氧化合物渗透纸板,尤其是在纸板边缘处渗透。
根据本发明的另一方面,添加至包含添加剂的纸板的一层或多层中的、本发明添加剂的添加量为0.5-10千克/吨干纸、优选0.5-5千克/吨干纸、更优选1-5千克/吨干纸。用于各层中的用量可相对层的密度进行调节,以致使,在最低密度的一层或多层中,其用量较多,反之亦然。根据本发明的添加剂最好用于液板的所有纤维素基的层中。
另外可以想象的是,使用除使消毒剂分解以外与之发生反应的化合物,结果是,形成保护气体层。本发明并不局限于过氧化合物形式如过氧化氢的消毒剂,另外还能够与另外种类的消毒剂一起处理。在本发明中,对添加剂的选择应与所用的消毒剂适应,以致使,在反应或分解时,形成本发明的气体层。此外,还可以想象的是,可对添加剂和/或消毒剂进行选择,以致使,在反应或分解期间形成某些其它类型的气体,即除氧气以外的气体。可以产生的所述气体的例子是氢气、二氧化碳气体和氮气。
根据本发明的另一方面,将本发明的添加剂与施胶组合物例如中性施胶剂结合,以抵抗乳酸的渗透。在本发明中,疏水化时使用的pH对于中性施胶剂能够有利地最佳化,这意味着能够使用7以上的pH值。
最为有利的是,仅将本发明的添加剂用于抵抗消毒剂的边缘渗透。然而,根据本发明的一方面,本发明的添加剂可与疏水剂如树脂施胶剂结合,以便抵抗消毒剂的边缘渗透。在这种情况下使用的所述树脂施胶剂的用量小于包含本发明添加剂的一层或多层中常规的量。
在液板的制备中,本发明的添加剂优选在入口箱(inlet box)之前添加至浆料中。如果添加剂为粉末状,例如为锰矿石,添加剂最好以浆液的形式添加。如果添加剂是分散状的或溶液,例如过氧化氢酶,添加剂最好以现存的形式添加。
其中使用添加剂的液板优选由至少一层赋予松厚性的中心层以及在每侧的外层构成。中心层通常由化学纸浆和CTMP浆的混合物形成。PE涂层通常提供在液板的外侧上,与此同时用PE涂层和可能的铝对内部进行涂布,这形成了抗包装打算填充的液体的阻挡层。

实施例
以实验室规模进行一系列实验,其中,所用的中心层纸浆由化学浆和CTMP浆组成,其呈入口箱浆料的形式。利用AKD(4kg/吨)对纸浆进行中性施胶。参考实验由上述纸浆组成,其中添加树脂施胶剂和明矾。在一系列实验中,锰矿石(MnO2)单独添加或与树脂施胶剂和明矾一起添加。在其中锰矿石与树脂施胶剂和明矾一起添加的一系列实验中,树脂施胶剂和明矾总是使用恒定的剂量(分别为3kg/吨)。由所述浆料形成纸页,然后在大气压力下测量过氧化氢的边缘渗透。在70℃,在30%过氧化氢的过氧化氢浴中,在实验室中测量过氧化氢渗透。停留时间为10分钟。
以VP-毛细值形式测量的最终边缘渗透示于表1中,可能证实的是,当使用本发明的添加剂或锰矿石/树脂施胶剂混合物时,可以获得与使用树脂施胶剂时相同的VP-毛细值。这意味着,利用锰矿石可以取得与利用树脂施胶剂相同的最小值的VP-毛细值。然而,当更为迅速地取得作用时,可使剂量有利地降低。结果也示于图表形式的图1中。

1.一种包含一层或多层含纤维素材料的液板,其特征在于,所述层之一或多层包含由金属盐,金属氧化物或酶组成的添加剂,该添加剂为能够与对所述液板进行处理的过氧化合物进行反应或使之分解的添加剂,以致使形成气体,所述气体起阻挡层的作用,并因此防止所述过氧化合物渗透入纸板层中。
2.根据权利要求1的液板,其特征在于,所述气体起阻挡层的作用,并因此防止所述过氧化合物边缘渗透入纸板层中。
3.根据权利要求1的液板,其特征在于,所述过氧化合物是液体过氧化合物。
4.根据权利要求2的液板,其特征在于,所述过氧化合物是液体过氧化合物。
5.根据权利要求3的液板,其特征在于,所述过氧化合物是过氧化氢。
6.根据权利要求4的液板,其特征在于,所述过氧化合物是过氧化氢。
7.根据权利要求1~6中任一项的液板,其特征在于,所述气体为氧气、氢气、二氧化碳气体或氮气。
8.根据前述权利要求中任一项的液板,其特征在于,所述添加剂由过氧化氢酶或MnO2组成。
9.根据前述权利要求中任一项的液板,其特征在于,所述添加剂在包含该添加剂的所述一层或多层中的含量为:0.5-10千克/吨干纸。
10.根据权利要求9的液板,其特征在于,所述添加剂的含量为0.5-5千克/吨干纸。
11.根据权利要求9的液板,其特征在于,所述添加剂的含量为1-5千克/吨干纸。
12.根据前述权利要求中任一项的液板,其特征在于,所述含纤维素材料层的第一层由比液板中其它含纤维素材料层的密度低的层组成,该第一层具有比其它层更高的所述添加剂的含量。
13.根据前述权利要求中任一项的液板,其特征在于,所述一层或多层还包含第二试剂,该第二试剂适合于抵抗乳酸渗透入液板中。
14.根据权利要求13的液板,其特征在于,该第二试剂适合于抵抗乳酸边缘渗透入液板中。
15.根据权利要求13的液板,其特征在于,所述第二试剂由包含至少一种疏水、纤维素活性的疏水剂和阴离子、阳离子或两性聚合物的施胶组合物组成。
16.根据前述权利要求中任一项的液板,其特征在于,所述添加剂与所述一层或多层中的疏水剂结合,所述疏水剂适合于抵抗过氧化合物渗透入液板中。
17.根据权利要求16的液板,其特征在于,所述疏水剂适合于抵抗过氧化合物边缘渗透入液板中。
18.根据权利要求16的液板,其特征在于,该疏水剂由树脂施胶剂组成。
