Abstract

An aqueous self-supporting gel composition is provided, which consists essentially of: a) 1 to 20% of a fragrance material (preferably a fragrant oil), b) 2 to 10% of one or some sorts of carrageenan polysaccharid compound or a mixture of carrageenan polysaccharid, c) 0 to 2% of a preservative, d) 0 to 2% of a coloring agent, and e) 66 to 97% water, all percentages being by weight of the composition.

Description

Improved organic composite
The present invention relates to flavor compositions, be specifically related to the flavor compositions of gel-type, and the method for preparing said composition.
Flavor compositions is used as air purifying preparation usually, and can the gel form provide. These compositionss contain gellant and spice usually, and solvent, surfactant and other components.
According to the present invention, a kind of moisture self supporting type gel combination is provided, it is made up of following component basically:
A) 1-20% spice (preferred flavor oil),
B) one or more carrageenan chemical compounds of 2-10% or carrageenan blend,
C) 0-2% antiseptic,
D) 0-2% coloring agent,
E) 66-97% water,
All percents all are to calculate according to the weight of said composition.
" self supporting type gel " is meant enough inflexible gel under the room temperature, also promptly this gel is firm, can not flow also can keep its structure.A kind of like this gel can not have under the bracing or strutting arrangement as bar-shaped, and can maintain the original state voluntarily.
Carrageenan is in advance from the deutero-product of zostera marina, and is linear polysaccharide. This is known in the art.
In gel combination of the present invention, can suitably there be the mixture of κ, ι, λ polysaccharide carrageenan.
" carrageenan blend " is meant the carrageenan latex agent composition that contains one or more carrageenan chemical compounds and a small amount of one or more other components. For example, most of commercially available carrageenan gellant contain the blend of carrageenan and a small amount of other components (as inorganic or organic salt and/or natural gum).
Preferably, the carrageenan blend that is used for gel combination of the present invention contains at least 50% carrageenan chemical compound, more preferably contains and is higher than 70% carrageenan chemical compound.
It is commercially available in FMC " DanagelDKL " being used for preferably carrageenan blend of the present invention.Danagel DKL contains highly purified carrageenan extract as main component, is mixed with carob gum and calcium acetate.
Other carrageenan blends that can be used in this gel combination are products of those commercially available " Satiagel VG 11S " (available from Sanofi) and " gellant AF7 " (available from Cemcolloids).
Opposite with in the past used carrageenan gel combination, gel combination of the present invention does not contain the solvent of any interpolation, in addition, does not contain the emulsifying agent that routine is used for the solubilization amount yet.Emulsifying agent was thought in the past must be had in carrageenan. In addition, gel combination of the present invention does not contain ideally or is substantially devoid of surfactant.
In addition, we have found that carrageenan chemical compound or carrageenan blend itself can be used as gellant. Therefore, according to the present invention, in this gel combination process of preparation, need not in commercially available carrageenan (as Danagel DKL), add other gellant.
Preferred antiseptic is commercially available antiseptic, as Parmetol DF 35 (available from Schulke﹠amp; Mayr) and Glycosyl L (available from Lonza (UK) Ltd).
Preferred coloring agent is an aqueous, or is more preferably the molten dyestuff of oil.
The present invention allows to add in said composition than being generally used for the high clean spice of content in the carrageenan, and does not need other component to realize.
Therefore, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the amount of this spice is 4-20% (weight). The amount of preferred this spice is 4-12% (weight), more preferably 4-10% (weight).
Use is than obtaining the necessary gellant of also Duoing of effective gel, without any benefit. On the other hand, should exist enough gellant to form stabilizing gel. Therefore, preferably the amount of this glue gel is 2-5% (weight), and the amount of this gelling colloid is 2-3% (weight) ideally, is in particular 2.3-2.5% (weight).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, this gel combination is made up of following component: a) 1-20% spice, b) one or more carrageenan chemical compounds of 2-10% or carrageenan blend, c) 0-2% antiseptic, d) 0-2% coloring agent, and e) 0-0.5% surfactant, all percents are to represent according to the weight of said composition, its surplus is a water, and without any other components, as inorganic or organic acid or salt (not being that those are present in those acid or salt in described any commercially available carrageenan blend).
In some cases, may wish to add a spot of surfactant as wetting agent, but need not add the surfactant that routine is used for solubilizing amount.Having under the situation of wetting agent, the amount of this wetting agent be lower than said composition 0.5%, more preferably less than 0.2% or still less. For example, the suitable wetting agent that can be used for gel combination of the present invention is commercially available Crillet 4 Super from Croda Chemicals.
In addition, the invention provides a method for preparing the self-support type gel combination, comprising: add hot water and gellant to a predetermined temperature, be cooled to 60-70 ℃ and add spice. Also can randomly in said composition, add one or more antiseptic, coloring agent and surfactant.Said composition can be injection molded into attractive shape.Preferable methods comprises the another one step: before cooling said composition is poured in the mould.
The present invention also provides one to make room, automobile etc. have the method for fragrance with the gel-type flavor compositions.Compositions of the present invention can comprise the air purifying preparation gel of the molding of selling with suitable wrapper packaged, and this packing material is impervious to spice.Remove this packing material before for example room, automobile have fragrance using this gel to make. This gel is tempting in physical property in appearance, and can be placed on or leave in the proper container. When the release of spice was at room temperature very slow, this can flow and alleviate by being increased in air on this gel.For example, this gel can be packaged in the formed package of breather, wherein can flow at the air that this gas permeable devices upper shed increases on this gel.
Following embodiment introduces compositions of the present invention, prepares their method and its purposes.
Embodiment 1
Heat this carrageenan gellant and water to 90 ℃ of temperature, stirred simultaneously 30 minutes, prepare said composition (specifically seeing the following form).
Then said composition is cooled to 70 ℃, then adds spice, antiseptic and coloring agent, and fully stirred 15 minutes in addition.
Then said composition is poured in the mould, and it is wet to the chamber to be allowed to condition at 20 minutes internal cooling.
The compositions of making is as follows:
