Description

Method and system for indicating the status of a push button switch and the functions controlled thereby
Technical Field
The application relates to the technical field of automobile electronics, in particular to a method and a system for indicating the state of a button switch and a function controlled by the button switch.
Background
With the development of automotive electronics and the increasing demands for driving safety, more and more vehicles are beginning to support emergency call functions (e.g., ECALL functions). After an accident or an anchor of the vehicle, the driver and the passenger of the vehicle can trigger the emergency call function by pressing a button switch (e.g., ECALL button) for triggering the emergency call function, thereby giving a distress signal and reporting the position of the vehicle. Alternatively, the emergency call function of the vehicle may be triggered in other ways, for example by signals from crash sensors or temperature sensors provided on the vehicle, so that the vehicle can automatically signal a distress signal and report the location of the accident vehicle even when the driver and the passenger are unconscious and cannot ask for help.
In a real environment, since a button switch (e.g., ECALL button) for triggering an emergency call function is hardly used, it cannot be judged whether the button switch for triggering an emergency call function can normally operate. In addition, after the push button switch is pressed, it cannot be intuitively judged whether the emergency call function of the vehicle has been successfully triggered. It is therefore desirable to provide an intuitive way of indicating whether a push button switch for triggering an emergency call function is able to function properly and whether the emergency call function was successfully triggered.

In the following description, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding and enabling description of the application to one skilled in the art. It will be apparent, however, to one skilled in the art that the present application may be practiced without some of these specific details. Furthermore, it should be understood that the application is not limited to specific described embodiments. Rather, any combination of the features and elements described below is contemplated to implement the application, whether or not they relate to different embodiments. Thus, the following aspects, features, embodiments and advantages are merely illustrative and should not be considered elements or limitations of the claims except where explicitly set out in a claim.
Referring now to FIG. 1, a flow chart of a method for indicating the status of a push button switch and its controlled functions is shown, in accordance with one embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
step S101, detecting whether the push button switch can work normally and detecting whether the function controlled by the push button switch is triggered.
The detection of whether the push-button switch is able to function properly and whether the function controlled by the push-button switch is triggered may be achieved in any suitable way. In a simple implementation, a diagnostic circuit formed by a first resistor and a second resistor connected in series may be arranged in the push button switch, and triggering of a function controlled by the push button switch can cause the second resistor to be short-circuited, wherein the resistance value of the first resistor is R1, and the resistance value of the second resistor is R2. In this implementation, the total resistance value of the diagnostic circuit may be detected, and if the total resistance value of the diagnostic circuit is detected to be r1+r2, the push button switch is considered to be able to operate normally and the function controlled by the push button switch is not triggered; if the total resistance value of the diagnostic circuit is R1, the push-button switch is considered to work normally and the function controlled by the push-button switch is triggered; if the total resistance value of the diagnostic circuit is detected to be infinite, the push button switch is considered to be not operating properly.
Step S102, under the condition that the button switch can work normally and the function controlled by the button switch is not triggered, the control indicator lamp is in a first state; under the condition that the button switch can work normally and the function controlled by the button switch is triggered, the control indicator lamp is in a second state; and under the condition that the button switch cannot work normally, the control indicator lamp is in a third state.
The function controlled by the push button switch may be triggered by pressing the push button switch, or may be triggered by any other suitable means, such as a signal from a crash sensor or a temperature sensor provided on the vehicle.

Under the condition that the button switch cannot work normally, the alarm lamp of the safety air bag controller can be controlled to be in a normally-on state, so that the button switch is further prompted to work normally.
The function controlled by the push button switch may be any suitable vehicle function. Such as an emergency call function (e.g., ECALL function) of the vehicle.

The function controlled by the push button switch may be triggered by pressing the push button switch, or may be triggered by any other suitable means, such as a signal from a crash sensor or a temperature sensor provided on the vehicle.
The specific forms of the first state, the second state and the third state can be set according to actual requirements. For example, the first state may be a normally on state, the second state may be a blinking state, and the third state may be a normally off state.
The control device can also be used for controlling the alarm lamp of the air bag controller to be in a normally-on state under the condition that the button switch cannot work normally so as to further prompt that the button switch cannot work normally.
As further shown in fig. 2A-2C, a diagnostic circuit is provided in the push button switch, the diagnostic circuit being composed of a first resistor and a second resistor connected in series, the second resistor being enabled to be short-circuited by triggering a function controlled by the push button switch, the first resistor having a resistance value R1, and the second resistor having a resistance value R2. The control device can detect the total resistance value of the diagnosis circuit, and if the total resistance value of the diagnosis circuit is detected to be R1+R2, the button switch can be considered to work normally and the function controlled by the button switch is not triggered (figure 2A); if the total resistance value of the diagnostic circuit is detected to be R1, the push-button switch is considered to be able to operate normally and the function controlled by the push-button switch is triggered (FIG. 2B); if the total resistance value of the diagnostic circuit is detected to be infinite, the push button switch is deemed to be not operating properly (fig. 2C).
