Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及根据权利要求1前序部分所述的用于生产聚烯烃再循环物的再循环方法以及聚烯烃再循环物。
现有技术
HDPE(高密度聚乙烯)材料在加工过程期间继续进一步降解,并且稍后随时间推移,这取决于稳定性和负载,即HDPE的分子量继续下降。这种分子量的降低不能通过常规的机械再循环方法而再次补偿。尽管从文献中已知补偿方法,但由于所涉及的高技术复杂性,例如高压的施加或特殊催化剂的引入,它们不受经济关注。
以500mg/kg至3000mg/kg混入原料中的HDPE稳定剂或抗氧化剂如Irganox 1010或Irgafos 168由于其例如与氧和自由基的反应机理而丧失其效果。在每次热负载和因此在循环中的每次后续使用之后,必须补充稳定剂和抗氧化剂以实现原料的性质。然而,稳定剂和分解产物如来自Irganox1010的3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基苯甲醛通过已知的再循环方法没有被去除或仅被不充分地去除并且保留在再循环利用的材料中。然而,稳定剂及其分解产物的这种积聚在食物包装的使用中是有问题的,因为它们可能污染食物或可能不利地影响食物的味道。
HDPE材料以多种颜色出现在市场上,其中颜料不能通过通常的机械再循环方法去除。因此,必须为每种颜色创建单独的再循环料流。然而,这种方法失败,因为没有实现单一颜色的最小量的HDPE材料并且因此再循环是不经济的。
随着时间的推移,HDPE材料通过迁移吸收污染物,诸如例如壬烯醛和/或壬醛,其通常对气味具有负面影响。负面影响气味的分解产物也在HDPE本身中形成。分解产物可以是(例如)丁酸或戊酸。丁酸可以来自填充有乳制品的待再循环的容器或者甚至来自巴西棕榈蜡,巴西棕榈蜡经常用作脱模剂并且在太阳辐照下分解成丁酸。如已经解释的,已经迁移到待再循环的材料中的分解产物通过普通再循环方法没有被去除或仅被不充分地去除。因此,来自通常的机械HDPE再循环方法的材料通常伴有令人不悦的气味。
HDPE材料仅缓慢地释放它们的污染物,使得大多数和常规的机械再循环方法不能提供允许与食物直接接触的再循环物。例如,燃料和油储存在由聚烯烃制成、优选由HDPE制成的容器中。结果,在容器壁中达到5000mg/kg-10000mg/kg聚烯烃的苯和其它MOAH(矿物油芳烃)浓度。为了与食物接触,此类污染物必须通过该方法以足够的量去除,以使得可以使用再生的HDPE作为食物包装。
HDPE材料含有低于2000道尔顿的非常低分子链(低聚物、POSH(聚烯烃低聚饱和烃)、POAH),其被感觉为蜡质或油性令人不悦气味的香气或其污染食物。机械再循环方法不能充分地去除这些低分子链,但是它们确实使待再循环的材料进一步降解,因此从再循环周期到再循环周期增加低分子链的数目。
本发明的目的
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种用于生产可用作食品包装的再循环利用的HDPE材料的成本有效的方法。
发明内容
在用于生产聚烯烃再循环物的再循环方法的情况下,所述目的通过权利要求1的特征部分中所述的特征来实现。改进和/或有利的替代实施方案形成了从属权利要求的主题。
提出用于生产聚烯烃再循环物的再循环方法。该再循环方法包括从污染的聚烯烃材料中去除污染物,其中在浸泡步骤中将污染的聚烯烃材料浸泡在溶剂中,以便将污染的聚烯烃材料中存在的污染物溶解在溶剂中,并且从污染的聚烯烃材料中去除溶剂和溶解在溶剂中的污染物。在浸泡步骤之前,用水、清洁剂和/或碱液进行洗涤步骤,并且通过浸泡/溶剂再循环方法改变污染的聚烯烃材料,使得(i)去除或洗出大于90重量%的低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物,并且由此增加聚烯烃的平均分子链长度,并且(ii)由于分解和老化而升高的聚烯烃再循环物的熔体体积流率(MVR)降低到指定的MVR。令人惊奇的是,可以特别容易地从污染的聚烯烃材料中去除包含在待再生或再循环的污染的聚烯烃材料中的污染物。纯化效率是指与浸泡方法之后,更特别是去除溶剂和溶解在溶剂中的污染物之后的浓度相比,洗涤方法之前的污染物浓度。取决于低分子污染物的比例,可以通过所提出的方法每kg污染的聚烯烃材料分离出0.5g至5g。用于生产不同产品的指定MVR不必总是相同的。聚烯烃再循环物的MVR可以例如降低至初始加工之前聚烯烃材料的MVR,也就是说,降低至原始聚烯烃(下文中称为“原始材料”)在其在挤出机中首次熔融之前所具有的MVR。取决于再生或再循环利用的聚烯烃材料的预期用途,期望的MVR可以不同。事实上,MVR还可以设定为使得可以由再循环利用的聚烯烃材料生产膜、线、棒、片、管、注塑部件或中空吹塑体。理想地,聚烯烃再循环物的MVR等于聚烯烃材料在初始加工之前的MVR。低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物的去除程度和速度可受污染的聚烯烃材料在溶剂中的滞留时间、溶剂的温度和施加的压力所影响。例如,低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物可在150℃的溶剂温度和12巴的压力下在25分钟内被浸泡至100%。再生或再循环利用的聚烯烃材料也被称为“消费后再循环物(PCR)”。
与可商购获得的再生聚烯烃材料的区别在于分子量分布:目前在市场上可得的机械方法不能减少污染的聚烯烃材料中低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物。事实上,从再循环周期到再循环周期,低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物在再循环利用的聚烯烃材料中累积。具有低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物的再循环利用的聚烯烃材料的累积增加MVR。相反,使用所提出的方法,聚烯烃材料的平均分子量可以通过去除低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物而增加,并且MVR相应地降低。
在一个特别优选的实施方案中,从污染的聚烯烃材料中去除超过90%的低于2000道尔顿的稳定剂和抗氧化剂以及它们的反应产物,并将新的稳定剂和抗氧化剂引入聚烯烃再循环物中。抗氧化剂或抗老化剂是已知的,例如以商品名Irganox 1010或Irgafos 168。因此,与通过常规机械再循环方法生产的目前市场上可获得的聚烯烃再循环物的区别在于从待再循环的聚烯烃材料中去除稳定剂(抗氧化剂)。例如,Irganox 1010具有292道尔顿并且以500mg至3000mg/kg原始材料添加到原始材料中。Irganox 1010的典型反应产物是3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基苯甲醛。使用所提出的方法,3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基苯甲醛的比例可以降低至小于50mg/kg的聚烯烃再循环物。根据其用途,然后可以将约450mg至约2950mg/kg聚烯烃再循环物的新的和新鲜的稳定剂添加到聚烯烃再循环物中。因此,聚烯烃再循环物具有与原始材料至少基本上相同的性质。
根据另一个示例性实施方案,存在于污染的聚烯烃材料中的包封染料由于胶囊被溶剂溶解和/或打开并且超过90%的低于2000道尔顿的颜色活性分子通过该方法从污染的聚烯烃材料中洗出而丧失所述胶囊的保护作用。通常,将每kg聚烯烃材料1重量%的色母料添加到待染色的聚烯烃材料中。在本实施例中,色母料含有20重量%的分子量为237道尔顿的溶剂红111(C15H11NO2 CAS 82-38-2)。使用所提出的再循环方法,可以从最初存在的每kg聚烯烃材料2000mg的溶剂红111中去除每kg聚烯烃材料至少1800mg的溶剂红111。使用所提出的再循环方法,除了溶剂红111之外,还可以从待再生的污染的聚烯烃材料中洗出下列染料:溶剂黄93、114,溶剂红242、179、195,溶剂绿3、5、28,溶剂蓝101、36、97、35、104和用于不透明色调的碳酸钙。聚苯乙烯、聚酰胺、聚酯和SIOx的胶囊可通过溶剂(例如丙酮、碱或醇)以及通过热、压力或辐射而裂开或溶解。根据所提出的再循环方法获得的聚烯烃再循环物可以是再染色。已知的机械再循环方法不能或仅不充分地去除上述染料。
在另一个优选的实施方案中,从污染的聚烯烃材料中洗出或去除超过99%的矿物油残留物,诸如MOAH(矿物油芳烃)和MOSH(矿物油饱和烃),连同POAH(聚烯烃芳烃)和POSH(聚烯烃饱和烃),它们具有小于500道尔顿的分子量并且天然存在于聚烯烃中。市场上的机械纯化的聚烯烃再循环物具有不期望的烃污染物,其由于包装材料(印刷油墨、加工机器的矿物油等)的加工而存在或其已经天然存在于原始材料中。
在另一个实施方案中,从污染的聚烯烃材料中去除超过90%的模型污染物甲苯、氯苯、苯基环己烷、二苯甲酮和硬脂酸甲酯。模型污染被理解为是指所述污染物在待再生的聚烯烃材料中以500mg至1500mg/kg待再生的聚烯烃材料的浓度累积。为了通过欧洲食物安全局(European Food Safety Authority,EFSA)批准为食物安全塑料的规定测试,必须通过再循环方法去除每种模型污染物的至少90%。试验已经表明,利用所提出的再循环方法,例如每kg待再循环的聚烯烃材料1000mg的氯苯和/或甲苯的污染物,可以去除高达5mg/kg聚烯烃再循环物的累积物,因此是99.5重量%。相比之下,来自现有技术的机械纯化的再循环利用的HDPE材料通常不会通过EFSA(欧洲食物安全局)的测试,该测试是为了在食物接触的情况下安全使用该材料而进行的。来自根据现有技术的机械再循环方法的聚烯烃再循环物仅在待再生的聚烯烃材料的低污染和未混合料流的情况下,例如在英国用于乳的HDPE包装的情况下可通过EFSA测试。
有利地,从被PVC污染的聚烯烃材料中去除超过90%的在软质PVC中部分使用的增塑剂,特别是邻苯二甲酸类,特别是DEHP。聚烯烃材料非常好地吸收这些增塑剂,并且出于这个原因,这些增塑剂尽管主要不是原始材料的组分,但也不利地存在于已知的机械纯化的聚烯烃再循环物中。
根据另一个示例性实施方案,聚烯烃再循环物中的DEHP的浓度小于0.1mg/kg聚烯烃再循环物。
根据另一个示例性实施方案,从污染的聚烯烃材料中去除大于90%的低于500道尔顿的气味活性碳化合物,例如羧酸,特别是丁酸和戊酸,气味活性饱和和不饱和醛,特别是壬醛和壬烯醛,气味活性内酯,诸如例如壬内酯和/或ε-己内酯,以及气味活性萜烯,诸如例如柠檬烯和/或对异丙基甲苯。
柠檬烯是柑橘类水果嗅觉感知中的主组分之一,也是柠檬水中最重要的组分之一。在聚烯烃的情况下,柠檬水扮演次要角色,但是基于柠檬烯的具有柑橘或橙香味的清洁剂是以高于1000mg柠檬烯/升混合到清洁剂中的。因此,聚烯烃材料中的典型柠檬烯污染可以是例如600ppm并且通过该方法降低至低于6ppm。
与此相反,标准机械再循环利用的聚烯烃材料、由其生产的粒料和由其生产的容器通常具有非常令人不悦的气味,这影响了储存在这些容器中的食物的味道。
已经发现,所提出的再循环方法将聚烯烃再循环物、特别是HDPE再循环物中的壬烯醛、壬醛和壬内酯在每种情况下减少至小于0.1mg/kg聚烯烃再循环物,特别是HDPE再循环物。
证明有利的是,溶剂是正己烷或正庚烷或它们的混合物。已经发现,这些溶剂对于去除低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物,特别是上述污染物是特别有效的,具有很大的广谱效果。另外,该溶剂可以从聚烯烃再循环物中几乎没有残留物地分离。
有利地,在低于待再生的聚烯烃材料的熔融温度约10°K的温度和1巴至1000巴的压力下,将污染的聚烯烃材料浸泡在溶剂中,结果杀灭存在于待再生的聚烯烃材料中的99.9%的生物膜和细菌。因此,不仅可以增加再生材料的平均分子链长并去除污染物,而且还可以生产适合填充有食物的聚烯烃再循环物。
本发明的另一方面涉及通过上述再循环方法生产的纯化聚烯烃材料或聚烯烃再循环物,其中聚烯烃再循环物优选地以粒料的形式存在。该再生聚烯烃材料几乎具有原始材料的性质,因此在机械方面其品质远优于再循环利用的材料。
聚烯烃再循环物有利地每kg聚烯烃再循环物含有小于50mg的3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟基苯甲醛。
应当理解,基于再循环方法描述的开发和有利的实施方案在适当情况下也适用于使用再循环方法生产的聚烯烃再循环物,反之亦然。
Claims (13)
1.一种用于生产聚烯烃再循环物的再循环方法,所述再循环方法包括从污染的聚烯烃材料中去除污染物,其中在浸泡步骤中将所述污染的聚烯烃材料浸泡在溶剂中,以便将所述污染的聚烯烃材料中存在的污染物溶解在所述溶剂中,并且从所述污染的聚烯烃材料中去除所述溶剂和溶解在所述溶剂中的所述污染物,
其特征在于
在所述浸泡步骤之前,使用水、清洁剂和/或碱液进行洗涤步骤,并且
通过所述浸泡/溶剂再循环方法改变所述污染的聚烯烃材料,使得(i)去除或洗出90重量%的低于2000道尔顿的低分子量污染物和聚烯烃的分解产物,并且从而增加所述聚烯烃再循环物的平均分子链长度,并且(ii)所述聚烯烃再循环物的熔体体积流率(MVR)降低至指定的MVR。
2.根据权利要求1所述的再循环方法,其特征在于,从所述污染的聚烯烃材料中去除超过90%的低于2000道尔顿的稳定剂和抗氧化剂以及它们的反应产物,并且将新的稳定剂和抗氧化剂引入到所述聚烯烃再循环物中。
3.根据权利要求l或2所述的再循环方法,其特征在于,存在于所述污染的聚烯烃材料中的包封染料由于胶囊被所述溶剂溶解和/或打开以及洗出超过90%的低于2000道尔顿的颜色活性分子而丧失所述胶囊的保护作用。
4.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的再循环方法,其特征在于,从所述污染的聚烯烃材料中洗出或去除超过90%的矿物油残留物,诸如MOAH(矿物油芳烃)和MOSH(矿物油饱和烃)连同POAH(聚烯烃芳烃)和POSH(聚烯烃饱和烃),以上各者具有低于500道尔顿的分子量并且天然存在于所述聚烯烃中。
5.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的再循环方法,其特征在于,从所述污染的聚烯烃材料中去除超过90%的来自甲苯、氯苯、苯基环己烷、二苯甲酮和硬脂酸甲酯的组的每种模型污染物。
6.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的再循环方法,其特征在于,从所述污染的聚烯烃材料中去除超过90%的在软质PVC中部分使用的增塑剂,特别是邻苯二甲酸酯,特别是DEHP。
7.根据权利要求6所述的再循环方法,其特征在于,所述聚烯烃再循环物中的DEHP的浓度小于0.1mg/kg聚烯烃再循环物。
8.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的再循环方法,其特征在于,从所述污染的聚烯烃材料中去除大于90%的低于500道尔顿的气味活性碳化合物,例如羧酸,特别是丁酸和戊酸,气味活性饱和和不饱和醛,特别是壬醛和壬烯醛,气味活性内酯,诸如例如壬内酯,以及气味活性萜烯,诸如例如柠檬烯。
