Description

Processing apparatus and method for processing a workpiece
Technical Field
The invention relates to a treatment device for treating workpieces, in particular a coating device for coating a vehicle body.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a processing apparatus which is simple in structure and which enables efficient and flexible use thereof for processing workpieces.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of the independent product claim.
The processing device for processing workpieces, in particular for coating a vehicle body, preferably comprises a plurality of processing areas, each having one or more processing stations for carrying out one or more processing steps.
The processing apparatus preferably further comprises one or more temporary stockers for temporarily stocked workpieces between performing the two processing steps.
Temporary storage means are in particular overhead warehouses.
Treatment or treatment of a workpiece is understood to mean, in particular, the execution of preparation or post-treatment measures at the workpiece, the coating of the workpiece, the reworking at the workpiece, the drying of the workpiece or of a coating applied thereto, the hardening of a coating arranged at the workpiece and/or the inspection of the workpiece.
In particular manually or automatically, in particular by means of a robot.
In conventional processing systems, temporary storage devices are arranged, for example, in the edge region of the processing system. On the contrary, it may be advantageous if one or more temporary storage devices are arranged between the two treatment areas.
In particular, it can be provided that one or more temporary storage devices are arranged between two treatment areas with reference to a horizontal direction and/or with reference to a vertical direction.
It can also be provided that one or more temporary storage devices are surrounded by the treatment area on three sides or on four sides, in particular with reference to a horizontal level.
Advantageously, the one or more temporary storage devices are surrounded by the treatment area on three sides or on four sides on one, two or more levels of the treatment system, in particular on the treatment level of the treatment system.
The workpieces can be supplied to the one or more temporary storage devices on one side or on multiple sides, in particular on sides opposite to one another.
Alternatively or additionally, it can be provided that the workpieces can be removed from the one or more temporary storage devices on one or more sides, in particular on opposite sides of the one or more temporary storage devices.
It may be advantageous if the treatment device comprises a plurality of treatment levels, in particular arranged overlapping at different height levels, on which treatment levels the treatment stations of the treatment area are arranged.
The one or more temporary storage devices preferably connect a plurality of the process levels to one another such that workpieces can be stored in the one or more temporary storage devices at one of the process levels and can be discharged from the one or more temporary storage devices at another of the process levels.
The one or more temporary storage devices therefore preferably connect a plurality of treatment areas to one another, in particular treatment areas arranged on different treatment levels of the treatment installation.
Advantageously, the temporary storage device or temporary storages have a plurality of storage channels and/or a plurality of delivery channels, respectively.
The warehouse entry aisle is particularly used for warehousing one or more workpieces.
The ex-warehouse aisle is particularly used for ex-warehouse one or more workpieces.
Warehouse-in warehouse-out warehouse-in channel and warehouse-out warehouse-in channel hereinafter collectively referred to as warehouse aisles.
It may be provided that two or more of the warehouse entry aisles are arranged on different processing levels of the processing equipment from one another.
Alternatively or additionally, it can be provided that two or more of the ex-warehouse channels are arranged on different processing levels of the processing plant from one another.
It can also be provided that one or more, in particular all of the warehouse entry channels are arranged on the same process level and/or at the same height level of the processing plant.
Alternatively or additionally, it can also be provided that one or more, in particular all, of the warehouse-out aisles are arranged at the same process level, in particular at the same height level.
It can be provided that the processing system comprises a plurality of processing levels, in particular arranged overlapping at different levels, on which processing levels the processing stations of the processing area are arranged, wherein one or more warehouse entry channels of one or more temporary warehouse devices and/or one or more warehouse exit channels of one or more temporary warehouse devices are arranged on one or more of the processing levels, respectively. In particular, a very flexible use of one or more temporary storage devices is thereby possible, since the workpieces can advantageously be selectively stored in the temporary storage devices at different height levels and can be discharged from the one or more temporary storage devices at one or more other height levels or at the same height level.
Advantageously, the one or more temporary storage devices each comprise a storage conveyor for conveying the workpieces in the respective temporary storage device.
The workpieces can be brought, preferably from one or more warehouse entry warehouse channels to one or more warehouse exit warehouse channels by means of a warehouse conveyor, in particular also back to the warehouse entry warehouse channel in which the workpieces to be warehouse-out are warehouse-in.
The warehouse entry aisle may alternatively be used only for warehouse entry.
Furthermore, the ex-warehouse aisle is optionally used only for ex-warehouse.
Preferably, however, all storage aisles of the temporary storage device or devices are both warehouse-in and warehouse-out storage aisles.
The one or more storage channels of the temporary storage device, in particular the storage channel and/or the delivery storage channel, preferably form a transfer station, at which the workpieces can be transferred from the area conveyor of the processing plant to the storage conveyor and/or from the storage conveyor to the area conveyor.
In particular, the transfer station is preferably used to transfer workpieces from a conveyor of a first conveyor type to a conveyor of a second different conveyor type, for example from a slide conveyor and/or a roller conveyor to a rail conveyor or an AGV conveyor. Alternatively or additionally, it can be provided that the transfer station is used to transfer the workpieces from the track conveyor or the AGV conveyor to the slide conveyor and/or the roller conveyor.
Advantageously, the workpieces can be received on the magazine conveyor by means of the workpiece receiving device.
The workpiece receiving device can be selectively transferred from the magazine conveyor to the region conveyor or can be stored in a corresponding temporary magazine, depending on the type of the adjacent region conveyor. The workpiece receiving devices can thus be retained in particular in the respective temporary storage devices, but can also be put in and taken out together with the workpieces.
For example, so-called skids or slide bars (Ski Bar) or crossbars (Crossbar) can be provided as the workpiece receiving means. When the area conveyor (to which the workpieces are transferred) does not require a workpiece receiving device of this type, they can be used, for example, to receive the workpieces in one or more temporary storage devices and to retain them, for example, in one or more temporary storage devices. Alternatively, the workpiece receiving device which is no longer required can be transported away in this case in other ways.
It may also be provided that the work pieces can be received, in particular can be put in and out of the warehouse, without the work piece receiving device being required in one or more temporary storage devices. In this way, workpieces conveyed to the warehouse-in magazine by means of such workpiece receiving devices can be separated from the workpiece receiving devices, in particular at the transfer station, and can be warehoused in one or more temporary magazines without corresponding workpiece receiving devices. The workpiece receiving devices remaining at the transfer station are then transported away, in particular by means of zone transport or additional transport devices.
In an advantageous manner, the magazine conveyor is used for conveying, in particular for returning, workpieces which are not provided with workpiece holders, in particular skids, in addition to or as an alternative to workpiece conveying. The temporary storage device or temporary storage devices can be used in particular as a slide collector and/or a slide dispenser, in particular in order to be able to carry out a return guidance of the workpiece receiving device in order to bring the workpiece receiving device into use with new workpieces.
Preferably, one or more of the temporary stockers are used for temporarily stocking workpieces having different processing progress states.
The one or more temporary storage devices can preferably be equipped with workpieces in a variable manner, in particular the workpieces can preferably not be stored at a predetermined position in the one or more temporary storage devices and/or not be transported through a predetermined transport path in the one or more temporary storage devices.
It is preferably provided that the workpieces can be supplied to one or more temporary storage devices at one or more processing stations and/or processing areas as required, in particular as a function of the loading state and/or the processing sequence.
In particular, workpieces in different process progression states can be stocked in one or more of the temporary stockers.
Advantageously, one or more of the temporary storage devices each has a plurality of storage channels, at which workpieces in different processing states can be stored in the temporary storage device.
It can also be provided that one or more temporary storage devices each have a plurality of delivery storage channels, at which workpieces in different processing states can be delivered from the respective temporary storage device.
The one or more temporary storage devices are preferably configured as a sorting store or are used as a sorting store.
Preferably, one or more temporary storage devices between the plurality of processing stations and/or processing areas are provided for temporary storage and/or sorting of the workpieces.
The processing apparatus preferably comprises a plurality of temporary stockers, wherein workpieces having the same processing progression status can be selectively stocked into one of the plurality of temporary stockers. It is also preferably provided that workpieces in different processing states can be supplied to a plurality of temporary storage devices, wherein workpieces having different processing states can be stored in the plurality of temporary storage devices, preferably simultaneously.
The invention also relates to a method for treating a workpiece, in particular for coating a workpiece.
Accordingly, the object of the present invention is to provide a method by means of which a workpiece can be processed in a simple and flexible manner.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the method independent claims.
The method for treating a workpiece, in particular for coating a vehicle body, preferably comprises:
processing the workpiece in a plurality of processing stations;
the workpieces are temporarily stocked in one or more temporary stockers between performing the two processing steps.
The method preferably has one or more of the features and/or advantages described in connection with the processing apparatus.
The processing device preferably also has one or more of the features and/or advantages described in connection with the method.
It may be advantageous, in particular, if workpieces having different processing states of progress are brought into the same temporary storage device a plurality of times.
Advantageously, the workpieces can be deposited into and removed from one or more temporary storage devices at different processing levels from one another on which the processing stations are arranged.
In particular, it can be provided that the workpieces are stored on one processing level and the workpieces are discharged on the other processing level, in particular for supply to a further processing step, in particular in a processing region.
Advantageously, the workpieces are stored in one or more temporary storage devices in a manner that is orientation-preserving, transported within one or more temporary storage devices in a manner that is orientation-preserving, and/or removed from one or more temporary storage devices in a manner that is orientation-preserving. In particular, the rotation of the workpiece can be avoided, which in most cases places high space demands on suitable rotating devices.
The term "in a manner that maintains orientation" is understood here to mean that the longitudinal axis of the workpiece remains unchanged during the transfer to the one or more temporary storage devices, during the transport in the one or more temporary storage devices and/or during the output from the one or more temporary storage devices.
The orientation of the workpiece held here is preferably a global orientation of the workpiece relative to the overall orientation of the processing apparatus, in particular independently of the local conveying direction of the conveying device.
According to other aspects of the invention, which may be considered and/or combined in particular for further optimization of the treatment device and/or the method mentioned hereinbefore, the use of one or more additional levels is involved, which may be provided in addition to the one or more treatment levels.
The processing device thus comprises, in particular, a plurality of processing areas each having one or more processing stations for correspondingly performing one or more processing steps.
Furthermore, a plurality of treatment levels, in particular arranged overlapping at different height levels, are preferably provided, on which treatment stations of the treatment area are arranged.
Furthermore, a conveyor device is preferably provided for conveying the workpiece through the treatment region.
Furthermore, a temporary storage device for temporarily storing the workpieces between the execution of the two processing steps is preferably provided in the processing device.
The workpieces can be stored in and taken out of the temporary storage device at different processing levels. In particular, a layer offset can be achieved in order to supply the workpieces to different processing stations and/or processing areas. It is furthermore preferred that the order in which the workpieces are supplied to the processing stations can be adjusted and/or changed.
Temporary storage means are in particular overhead warehouses.
The temporary storage device preferably comprises a storage conveyor, by means of which the workpieces can be conveyed in the temporary storage device to different storage levels and/or to different levels of the processing system, in particular to the processing level.
The processing device preferably comprises one or more additional levels, preferably no processing stations are arranged on the additional level or the additional level comprises only processing stations which are not accessible from additional levels outside the processing area to which the one or more processing stations of the additional level are assigned.
Thus, it is preferable that the treatment area possibly arranged in the additional level is not accessible within the treatment level.
It may be advantageous to have access to temporary storage means from at least one additional level of the processing equipment for the warehousing and/or ex-warehouse of workpieces.
The additional level may in particular be an intermediate level between two processing levels of the processing device.
Furthermore, the additional level may also be, for example, the uppermost level above all processing levels of the processing device.
At least one additional level, in particular a warehouse entry level and/or an ex-warehouse level, by means of which the workpieces can also be brought into proximity with the temporary warehouse, if the workpieces are first processed at the processing level, for example, in a horizontally spaced-apart manner from the temporary warehouse, and cannot be transported easily within the processing level to the temporary warehouse. Furthermore, such additional levels enable a greater number of warehouse entry and/or warehouse exit aisles, in addition to one or more warehouse entry and/or one or more warehouse exit aisles, especially at one or more of the processing levels.
Advantageously, the treatment device may comprise one or more levels, in particular additional levels, on which one or more intermediate conveying means of the treatment device are arranged.
The intermediate conveyor or conveyors are preferably used only for conveying workpieces from the vertical conveyor of the processing installation to the temporary storage and/or from the temporary storage to the vertical conveyor in an untreated manner.
The intermediate conveyor, by bypassing all processing stations arranged on the additional level, connects the temporary storage to the vertical conveyor, for example.
The vertical conveyor is preferably a different conveyor than the warehouse conveyor and/or spaced apart from the temporary warehouse conveyor.
The workpieces can be transported by means of the vertical transport device preferably without carrying out a processing step.
Preferably, the work piece can be transported from one level, in particular the treatment level or the additional level, to another level, in particular the additional level or the treatment level, by means of a vertical transport device. The layers can be arranged in particular directly next to one another, in particular directly overlapping one another. It may also be provided that one or more further layers are arranged between these layers.
The intermediate conveyor preferably has a fixed conveying path from which the processing stations, which are optionally arranged on additional levels, cannot be accessed.
The temporary storage preferably has one or more warehouse entry and/or warehouse exit storage aisles arranged on at least one additional level.
It may be advantageous for the vertical conveying means to connect two or more levels of the processing apparatus to each other for conveying the work pieces from one of the levels to one or more other of the levels. The vertical transport device preferably connects only one or more of the treatment levels of the treatment plant with only one or more of the additional levels.
In particular, it can be provided that the vertical transport device connects only two transfer stations to one another, one of which is arranged on the processing level and the other on the additional level.
For example, it can be provided that the vertical conveyor connects the AGV conveyor of the processing device on one of the processing levels of the processing device on the one hand with the intermediate conveyor on the other hand.
The AGV conveyor is in particular a conveyor in which the workpieces are conveyed on a self-traveling, unmanned transport vehicle, a so-called Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV).
The intermediate conveyor is in particular a slide conveyor, a roller conveyor and/or a transverse shifter or a rail conveyor.
The AGV conveyor of the processing device is arranged and/or constructed in particular at zero level (Nullniveau), in particular at the lobby floor of the lobby surrounding the processing device.
The conveyor of the treatment device preferably comprises only other conveyor types above the zero level.
For example, it is provided that the intermediate conveyor is or comprises a roller conveyor.
In particular when a plurality of warehouse entry warehouse channels and/or a plurality of warehouse exit warehouse channels are arranged on an additional level, the intermediate conveyor comprises one or more lateral shifters, in particular for connecting a warehouse entry and/or warehouse exit warehouse entry to the middle the conveyor device is configured as a conveyor connection of a roller conveyor, for example.
Advantageously, the processing device can comprise one or more transfer stations, by means of which the workpieces can be transferred to or from the intermediate conveyor, in particular without the need for transfer to a workpiece receiving device, for example a slide, for receiving the workpieces.
The described processing apparatus is particularly suitable for performing a method for processing a workpiece.
According to the above-mentioned aspects of the invention, such a method comprises, inter alia:
performing a processing step at a workpiece in a processing station of a processing apparatus; and is also provided with
Transporting the workpieces to different treatment levels, on which treatment stations are arranged; and
the workpieces are temporarily stocked in a temporary stocker between performing the two processing steps.
The workpieces are preferably stocked into and out of the temporary storage at different processing levels. In particular, it can be provided that the storage is carried out at one processing level and the delivery is carried out at the other processing level.
The workpieces can preferably be stocked in and/or unloaded from the temporary storage in a plurality of processing levels.
The workpieces are preferably transported after the processing steps have been carried out on one of the processing levels to the other processing level or to an additional level and are stored there in a temporary storage device, in particular without the processing steps being carried out on the other processing level or the additional level.
It may be advantageous to store the workpieces from the temporary storage for performing the processing steps at a level, in particular at a processing level or at an additional level, wherein the workpieces are then preferably transported to a further level, in particular at a processing level, for performing the processing steps, preferably without performing the processing steps at the level, in particular at the processing level or at the additional level, at which the workpieces are stored from the temporary storage.
In particular, the workpieces are transported from one level to the other by means of a vertical transport device, for example by means of an additional lift, independently of the temporary storage device.
By means of the intermediate conveyor and the vertical conveyor, for example, a conveyor connection is or can be established in order to remove the work pieces from the temporary storage, to be brought horizontally to a position of the additional level spaced apart from the temporary storage and finally to be transferred to the area conveyor at the other level, in particular at the treatment level. The zone transport is in particular an AGV transport. The associated treatment area is in particular a treatment area in which a treatment box that can be actuated and/or assembled separately is provided, for example for carrying out a preparation or post-treatment and/or a coating and/or sealing step.
As a preparation measure, for example, a plug can be placed, auxiliary devices can be fitted and/or removed, coverings can be fitted and/or removed, and/or corrections can be made at the work piece, in particular at the original body.
As a post-treatment measure, for example, auxiliary devices can be assembled and/or disassembled, coverings can be installed and/or removed, and/or corrections can be made at the coating.
The auxiliary device is in particular a body part holder, preferably a door opening holder, a bonnet opening holder.
The mask is in particular a partial covering for protecting the correctly processed workpiece area when the defect is reprocessed at the workpiece.
It can be provided that a transport connection is or can be established, for example, by means of an intermediate transport device and a vertical transport device, in particular a further intermediate transport device and a further vertical transport device, in order to transport the workpieces, which are drawn off from the dryer of the processing plant, for example, to a further level, in particular a processing level or an additional level, in which they are transported horizontally to a temporary storage device and are stored in the temporary storage device. Zone conveyor, in particular roller conveyor or load chain conveyor, for conveying workpieces in a dryer. The intermediate conveyor is in particular a roller conveyor or a load chain conveyor.

Detailed Description
The embodiment of the treatment device, which is indicated as a whole with 100 and is shown in fig. 1 to 4, is used for treating workpieces, in particular for painting vehicle bodies.
The treatment device 100 is thus in particular a painting device.
The processing apparatus 100 comprises a plurality of levels 102 for receiving components of the processing apparatus 100, in particular for receiving processing regions 104, each of which comprises one or more processing stations 106.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 4, the two levels 102 are configured as process levels 108.
Most or all of the processing stations 106 are disposed on these processing levels 108.
Two levels 102 of the processing device 100 are also provided, which are configured as additional levels 110.
The workpieces to be processed are transported through the deck 102 and across the deck by means of the transport means 112 of the processing apparatus 100.
The conveyor 112 comprises for this purpose different conveyor sections.
Each conveyor section is used for a specific conveying purpose and/or is designed as a specific conveyor type.
Each processing region 104 is provided with, for example, a region conveying device 114.
In the first processing level 108 shown in fig. 1, the workpieces are transported, for example, by means of an AGV conveyor 116, during which the workpieces are transported by means of freely, in particular autonomously, transport vehicles.
The AGV conveyor 116 may be disposed in a single processing area 104 or may be disposed across the processing area.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, an AGV conveyor 116 is provided for conveying workpieces in a plurality of processing zones 104.
As can also be gathered from fig. 1, the processing plant 100 comprises a temporary storage 118, which is configured in particular as an overhead warehouse 120.
The temporary stocker 118 includes a stocker conveyor 122 by which workpieces can be conveyed from and to a stocker site within the temporary stocker 118.
In addition, the magazine conveyor 122 is used to receive workpieces at a magazine lane 124 of the temporary magazine 118 and/or to output workpieces at an outbound magazine lane 126 of the temporary magazine 118.
In particular, a care-of station 128 of the processing apparatus 100 is provided at a care-of area, such as a warehouse entry aisle 124 and/or an off-warehouse aisle 126.
The transfer station 128 is capable of transferring workpieces from, among other things, a conveyor of a first conveyor type to a conveyor of the same conveyor type or of another conveyor type.
As can also be seen from fig. 1, the temporary storage 118 comprises, for example, a plurality of sections or areas, which are or can be connected to one another by means of the connection points 130.
The temporary storage 118 is thus able to exchange or transfer workpieces, in particular, within different areas or sections of the temporary storage 118.
The stocked workpieces can thus be transported particularly flexibly to different off-warehouse storage aisles 126.
Preferably, the temporary stocker 118 is used to transfer workpieces to other levels 102 of the processing tool 100.
The workpieces processed in the second processing level 108 (see fig. 3), in which they are supplied to the temporary stocker 118, can be transported to the first processing level 108 (see fig. 1) by means of the stocker conveyor 122, for example, in order to continue the processing of the workpieces in the first processing level 108.
As is clear from fig. 3 in particular, the treatment region 104 is arranged around a temporary storage 118.
In particular, the temporary storage 118 is preferably arranged between two treatment areas 104, at least with reference to the horizontal direction and with reference to at least one of the levels 102.
The temporary storage 118 can thus be integrated in a particularly simple manner into the processing installation 100 and can be accessed simply and flexibly at a plurality of locations, so that workpieces can be stored in the temporary storage 118 and removed from the temporary storage as required.
As can be seen in particular from fig. 1 and 3, two treatment levels 108 are shown, a plurality of warehouse entry and/or warehouse exit warehouse channels 124, 126 being provided on each treatment level 108. The number of storage lanes 124, 126, along with the layout of the storage conveyor 122, is decisive for the storage capacity, the delivery capacity, the storage speed and/or the delivery speed of the temporary storage 118.
Depending on the design and arrangement of the treatment area 104, the number of warehouse channels 124, 126 provided on the deck 102 may not be sufficient.
Accordingly, preferably one or more additional levels 110 may be used to provide other stocker channels 124, 126 for accessing the temporary stocker 118.
As is known in particular from the two additional levels 110 in fig. 2 and 4, the treatment installation 100 comprises for this purpose one or more vertical transport means 132 which connect the two or more levels 102 to one another.
It is therefore provided that a vertical conveyor 132 (see fig. 2) on the first additional level 110 connects this additional level 110 to the first treatment level 108 (see fig. 1).
In this case, a plurality of, for example six, warehouse-out warehouse channels 126 on the first additional level 110 are connected to one or more, for example two, transfer stations 128 on the first treatment level 108 by means of the vertical conveyor 132.
Thus, the number of workpieces that can be taken out of the temporary storage 118 within a predetermined time interval and can be supplied to the first processing level 108 can be significantly increased, e.g., doubled.
The vertical conveyor 132 need not be arranged here in a manner directly adjoining the temporary storage 118.
Instead, it may be provided that the vertical conveyor 132 is arranged at a distance from the temporary storage 118 and is connected thereto by means of an intermediate conveyor 134.
The intermediate conveyor 134 is, for example, a roller conveyor 136, which connects the vertical conveyor 132 with the warehouse-out warehouse aisle 126 on the first additional level 110 by means of a plurality of transverse shifters and/or turntables.
It may be provided that all workpieces to be supplied to the first process level 108 are supplied to the same process region 104.
In contrast, in the embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 4, it is provided that the workpieces which are drawn off from the warehouse-out aisle 126 on the first process level 108 on the one hand and the workpieces which are supplied to the first process level 108 from the first additional level 110 on the other hand by means of the vertical conveyor 132 are supplied to the process regions 104 which differ from one another.
As is evident in particular from fig. 3 and 4, further vertical conveyors 132 may be provided, for example for transferring workpieces from the processing region 104 on the second processing level 108 to an intermediate conveyor 134 on the second additional level 110.
The workpieces can then be transported from the vertical conveyor 132 to the warehouse-in aisle 124 of the temporary warehouse 128, which is arranged on the second additional level 110, by means of the intermediate conveyor 134 on the second additional level 110, and can finally be warehoused in the temporary warehouse 118.
The workpiece can thus be transported, in particular from one of the levels 102, to the adjacent level 102 by means of the two vertical transport devices 132 mentioned above.
Furthermore, further vertical transport devices 132, which are not described here, can be provided in order to transport the workpieces, in particular from one of the treatment levels 108 to another of the treatment levels 108.
The previously described embodiment of the conveyor device 112 together with the temporary storage device 118 enables, in particular, a concentration of the treatment stations 106 on the first treatment level 108, which are designed as treatment boxes 138, and a concentration of the treatment lines 140 on the second treatment level 108. In this case, the optimization of the warehousing and ex-warehousing of the workpieces in the temporary storage 118 enables a simple transport between the levels 102, a simple sorting of the workpieces for supply to the individual processing stations 106, and a flexible adaptation to different processing variants.
Further flexibility is obtained by arranging the temporary storage 118 within the processing apparatus 100 and using one or more additional levels 110 for warehousing work pieces into the temporary storage 118 and/or ex-warehouse from the temporary storage 118.
