Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of oral health foods, in particular to a composition capable of reducing oral sulfides.
Background
Bad breath is usually formed by volatile compounds (Volatile Organic Compounds, VOCs) generated by interaction of microorganisms in the oral cavity with specific substrates in food residues, saliva, etc., these VOCs generate various odors, and among the VOCs detected, the odor threshold of VSCs (volatile sulfur compounds) is generally low, so many studies classify VSCs as a main component causing odor.
Bad breath is a common problem that manifests itself in the mouth with unpleasant and nausea, which often results in tension, shame and social difficulties, such as inability to access and talk to others. About 15% to 60% of the population worldwide has a bad breath experience. 80% -90% of bad breath is sourced from the oral cavity. Food residues and bacterial plaques often remain in deep caries cavities and under bad restoration overhang, and bacteria are decomposed by fermentation to generate stink. Pulpal necrosis or suppurative pulpitis, and can give off odor without treatmentTaste; periodontal disease patients are often accompanied by a large number of dental stones, plaque, and bacterial fermentation in the periodontal pocket to produce hydrogen sulfide, indole and ammonia, thus generating malodour. In addition, periodontal abscess and periodontal pocket pus discharge, most of them are staphylococcus aureus and periodontal pathogen infection, and odor is also generated. The quality and quantity of saliva also plays an important role. The reduction of saliva volume and the increase of organic components such as protein reduce the scouring action and buffering action of saliva, so that bacteria are greatly propagated, and the organic components in saliva, gingival crevicular fluid and food residues are decomposed to generate a great deal of volatile sulfide, indole and other substances, thereby causing halitosis. In addition, short bad breath may be caused by hunger, consumption of certain drugs or irritating foods such as onion and garlic, smoking, and bacteria largely decomposing food residues due to a reduction in saliva secretion during sleep. Volatile sulfides in oral gases are a direct cause of bad breath and mainly include hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S), methyl mercaptan (CH) 3 SH), dimethyl sulfide ((CH) 3 ) 2 S)。
Most of the breath freshening products in the market mostly adopt masking agents or essence masking modes, and do not really play a role in reducing halitosis gas components. As patent CN102106906a discloses a traditional Chinese medicine composition for breath freshening and oral cleaning and a preparation thereof, which uses the synergistic effect of clove volatile oil, tea polyphenol and chlorogenic acid to inhibit oral pathogenic bacteria; patent CN101460134a discloses a breath freshening and oral cleaning product containing a synergistic combination of magnolia bark extract and essential oil, achieving an oral cleaning effect by bacteriostasis; patent CN103860423A discloses a gargle with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and deodorizing functions and using pericarpium Granati polyphenol extract, flos Rosae Rugosae and calyx seu fructus physalis as main raw materials, and its preparation method and application; however, these patents achieve a breath freshening effect simply by inhibiting oral pathogens or by masking the taste with plant essential oils, and do not actually reduce the level of VSCs in the oral cavity that produce primarily bad breath. In addition, some toothpaste and mouthwash products in the market only have the functions of removing food residues in the oral cavity, inhibiting bacteria and sterilizing, and can not reduce the content of volatile sulfide in the oral cavity at all; meanwhile, the microbial agent has the killing effect on beneficial bacteria while inhibiting harmful bacteria, and the micro-ecological balance of the oral cavity can be destroyed after long-term use.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the problems and the defects in the prior art, the invention provides a composition capable of reducing oral sulfides, which can effectively reduce the content of VSCs generating halitosis and improve the breath.
According to a first aspect of the present invention there is provided a composition for reducing oral sulfides, the composition comprising three or more plant components; the plant component comprises Opuntia Dillenii; the plant component also comprises at least two of Lentinus Edodes concentrated powder, green coffee powder, and fructus kaki powder.
The Opuntia ficus-indica is rich in vitamin C, polysaccharide, minerals, polyphenols and flavonoids, and its rhizome is helpful for lowering blood sugar and cholesterol, and can be used as medicine for clearing lung-heat and relieving cough, cooling blood and removing toxic substance. Is used for treating cough due to lung heat, hemoptysis due to tuberculosis, dysentery, hemorrhoid blood, acute mastitis, mumps, carbuncle, sore, swelling and toxic materials, burn, tinea, scabies, and snake and insect bites; its fruit is a good source of vitamins (especially vitamin C) and amino acids. However, in the prior art, less reports are made on the utilization of Opuntia ficus-indica as an ingredient for inhibiting halitosis, and in the invention, minerals, polyphenols and flavonoids which are rich in Opuntia ficus-indica can be combined with mercaptan and ammonia to capture the odor components in the oral cavity so as to reduce the concentration of odor molecules and achieve the effect of freshening breath. In addition, the active ingredients such as polysaccharide, polyphenol, flavonoid and the like of the Opuntia ficus-indica have the effects of regulating immunity, resisting oxidation, resisting bacteria, diminishing inflammation and the like, can further assist in regulating the bacterial balance of the oral cavity, maintain the oral health and effectively improve the problem of halitosis.
The special mushroom polyphenol and flavonoid components in Lentinus Edodes can also be combined with thiol and ammonia, so as to reduce odor, effectively reduce VSCs in oral cavity, and improve oral odor.
Some of the ingredients in coffee, such as caffeine, volatile and non-volatile organic acids, phenols and aromatic compounds, have antibacterial activity. Chlorogenic acid (CGA) and caffeic acid are non-volatile organic acids found in coffee, are good antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory bioactive substances, can inhibit some gram-positive microorganisms such as staphylococcus aureus, bacillus cereus, lactobacillus bulgaricus, streptococcus lactis and streptococcus faecalis and gram-negative bacteria such as escherichia coli, salmonella typhi and pseudomonas aeruginosa, have good inhibitory effects on oral pathogenic bacteria such as porphyromonas gingivalis, praecox intermedia, fusobacterium nucleatum and actinomyces companion, and therefore have positive significance for healthy oral micro-ecology. The green coffee powder contains abundant chlorogenic acid, has obvious antibacterial effect on oral pathogenic bacteria (streptococcus mutans, porphyromonas, proteus intermedius and the like), avoids aggravation of halitosis caused by propagation and growth of the oral pathogenic bacteria in the oral cavity, and further reduces VSCs in the oral cavity.
The persimmon powder contains rich tannin, wherein the tannin is a main effective component of the persimmon, has a complex structure and a plurality of phenolic hydroxyl groups, and can be combined with various malodor factors to achieve the deodorizing effect. Therefore, tannin in persimmon has antibacterial activity on various microbial biofilms in the oral cavity, damages the biofilm structure and reduces the colony count, can keep the oral cavity clean, prevent dental caries and periodontal disease related to dental plaque, systemic diseases such as aspiration pneumonia and the like, and reduces the generation of halitosis.
When the plant components are used singly, the plant components have no treatment effect or poor treatment effect on halitosis, and part of the plant components can mask the bad breath in the oral cavity only for a short time, but the bad smell gas can be quickly recovered to the initial level. In the invention, at least three components in plant components (Opuntia ficus-indica, lentinus Edodes, green coffee powder and persimmon powder) can be mutually matched for use, so that the functional advantages of the components can be fully exerted, the VSCs in the oral cavity can be immediately and rapidly reduced after the oral cavity is taken, the VSCs in the oral cavity can be maintained at a lower concentration for a long time, and the problem of bad breath is reduced; particularly, the addition of the Opuntia ficus-indica effectively enhances the effect of the composition in reducing VSCs in the oral cavity, and active ingredients such as polysaccharide, polyphenol, flavonoid and the like in the Opuntia ficus-indica can play a role in prebiotics, promote proliferation of beneficial oral bacteria, effectively inhibit growth of oral putrefying bacteria, reduce colonization of pathogenic bacteria in the oral cavity, regulate balance of oral bacteria, and achieve the effect of synergistically reducing halitosis.
Preferably, the plant component mass is present in the composition in a ratio of not less than 6wt%. Ensuring a certain content of plant components, effectively playing the role of the plant components on volatile sulfide and oral flora in the oral cavity, and better improving the problem of halitosis.
Preferably, the composition comprises Opuntia Dillenii, lentinus Edodes concentrated powder, green coffee powder, and fructus kaki powder. When the four components are matched together, the composition has the best effect of improving halitosis, and particularly has more obvious effect of reducing VSCs in the oral cavity.
Preferably, the mass ratio of the pear cactus to the Lentinus edodes concentrated powder to the green coffee powder to the persimmon powder is 1-35: 20-60: 1-30: 5 to 50.
Preferably, the ratio of the materials of the Opuntia ficus-indica, the Lentinus edodes concentrated powder, the green coffee powder and the persimmon powder is 1-5: 50-55: 1 to 10: 40-45. Under the feeding ratio, the synergistic effect of the components in the composition is stronger, the effective action time of the composition is further prolonged, the long-time balance of the gastrointestinal tract and the oral flora is maintained, and the propagation and growth of pathogenic bacteria in the oral cavity are effectively inhibited, so that the composition can maintain the VSCs in the oral cavity below the odor threshold for a longer time, and the oral health is maintained.
Preferably, the content of polyphenol in the concentrated powder of Lentinus edodes is not less than 0.10wt%; in the green coffee powder, the content of chlorogenic acid accounts for 10-30wt% of the mass of the green coffee powder; in the persimmon powder, the total polyphenol content accounts for not less than 10wt% of the weight of the persimmon powder.
Preferably, the composition further comprises anhydrous citric acid, ammonium bicarbonate, isomalt, sorbitol, magnesium stearate.
In conclusion, the composition of the invention has the effects of rapidly reducing the concentration of the oral cavity odor molecules and refreshing the breath by utilizing plant components to capture the oral cavity odor molecules; the active ingredients such as polysaccharide, polyphenol and the like in the plant components can promote the proliferation of beneficial bacteria in the oral cavity, inhibit the growth of putrefying bacteria, and regulate the balance of microecological flora in the oral cavity, thereby improving the problem of halitosis.

Detailed Description
In order that those skilled in the art will better understand the present invention, a technical solution of the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below, and it is apparent that the described embodiments are only some embodiments of the present invention, not all embodiments.
Example 1
In this example, 16 treatment groups were set up with the material components and the material ratios in the formulation of the composition as variables, and the formulation of the composition in each treatment group is shown in table 1.
For ease of testing and comparison, the formulations of the plant compositions of this patent were used in tablet product form for sample preparation. The preparation method of the composition in each treatment group of this example is as follows: and (3) placing the materials in the formula of each treatment group into a mixer, mixing until the color and the texture of the materials are uniform, obtaining a composition, tabletting the composition by a tablet press, and waiting for subsequent use.
The compositions in each treatment group of this example were subjected to an intra-oral VSCs removal effect test, and the results of the VSCs removal rate obtained are shown in table 1. The specific test process is as follows: oralchroma in Japan TM (CHM-2) Portable gas chromatograph for three most dominant bad breath gases, hydrogen sulfide (H) 2 S), methyl mercaptan (CH 3 SH), dimethyl sulfide ((CH) 3 ) 2 S) detecting; the subject holds a disposable syringe (without needle), the front end of the syringe goes deep into the oral cavity for about 4-5cm, the front part is suspended, the syringe is not contacted with the palate and the lingual back, the syringe is covered by the lips, and the subject uses the nose in the sampling processBreathing, slowly pumping air after 1min, rapidly injecting the gas in the injector into an instrument, and sequentially detecting the concentration of hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan and dimethyl sulfide and the total Volatile Sulfide (VSCs) content (vscs=h) in the injected gas 2 S+CH 3 SH+(CH 3 ) 2 S). The VSCs reduction rate is calculated as follows: the VSCs content in the oral cavity before the composition is taken by the subject is omega 1, the VSCs content in the oral cavity after the composition is taken is omega 2, and the VSCs removal rate is= (omega 1-omega 2)/omega 1. The compositions in each treatment group were tested 3 times and averaged.
Table 1 formulation of the compositions in each treatment group of example 1
Comparing the data of each treatment group in table 1 above, it is found that three or more ingredients of the composition can significantly improve the VSCs removal effect of the composition, and the VSCs removal rate in the oral cavity can reach 52% or more. Comparing treatment group 2 with treatment group 3, it was found that when the composition contained Opuntia ficus-indica, the VSCs removal rate of the composition was significantly improved, indicating that the addition of Opuntia ficus-indica effectively enhanced the effect of the composition in improving the problem of bad breath. Comparing treatment group 2 (three plant components) with treatment groups 7 to 12 (four plant components), it can be seen that the combination of plant components can better improve halitosis when four plant components are adopted, and the removal rate of VSCs in the oral cavity can reach more than 70%. Compared with the treatment group 10 and the treatment group 11, the plant components in the treatment group 10 occupy lower proportion in the total formula, the treatment effect on halitosis is poor, and the removal rate of VSCs only reaches 70%. As can be seen from comparison of treatment groups 7 and 9 and treatment groups 8 and 11 to 12 (four plant components), when the ratio of the materials of the Opuntia ficus-indica, the Lentinus edodes concentrated powder, the green coffee powder and the persimmon powder in the plant components is 1 to 35: 20-60: 1-30: when the range is 5-50, the synergistic effect of the plant components is better; wherein, when the ratio of the materials of the pear cactus, the Lentinus edodes concentrated powder, the green coffee powder and the persimmon powder in the plant components is 1-5: 50-55: 1 to 10: in the range of 40 to 45 (treatment groups 7 and 9), the effect of reducing volatile sulfide by the plant component is more excellent than that by the other treatment groups under the same conditions.
In addition, the composition in the treatment group 9 is compared with the commercial mouthwash and the commercial similar products to remove the oral VSCs, the test method refers to the test method of the VSCs reduction rate in the embodiment, each composition or commercial product is tested for 3 times respectively, the average value is taken, the commercial product 1 refers to fig. 1, the commercial product 1 is the commercial mouthwash, the commercial product 2 is the commercial similar product, and the removal effect of the composition of the invention on the oral VSCs is better than that of the commercial mouthwash and the similar products from the test result in fig. 1.
Example 2
The duration of the effect of the composition of treatment group 9 of example 1 on the reduction in oral VSCs concentration of subjects was tested according to the method of testing oral VSCs of example 1. The VSCs content in the oral cavity was detected 0min, 15min, 30min, 60min and 120min after the subject took the product, respectively, and as can be seen from fig. 2, the effect of the composition in treatment group 9 on the reduction of the VSCs concentration in the oral cavity was continued for more than 120 min. In addition, the compositions in treatment groups 7, 8 and 9 of example 1 were also tested for the duration of the effect of reducing oral VSCs in subjects, wherein the duration of the oral VSCs concentration in treatment group 7 below the threshold line was 140min or more, and the duration of the oral VSCs concentration in treatment group 8 below the threshold line was only 60min or more. Referring to the data in fig. 3, this demonstrates that proper ratios of the materials in the plant component can enhance their effective reduction time for oral volatile sulfides, prolong the effect of the composition on maintaining lower concentrations of oral VSCs, and ensure longer, lower concentrations of VSCs in the oral cavity.
The above embodiments are only for illustrating the technical solution of the present invention and not for limiting the scope of the present invention, and although the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the above embodiments, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that modifications or equivalent substitutions can be made to the technical solution of the present invention, but these modifications or substitutions are all within the scope of the present invention.
