Abstract

本发明涉及一种天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料及其制备方法,所述复合材料为三明治结构,表层为天然纤维定向编织纤维布,中间层为随机定向长天然纤维与热塑性树脂共混复合层;所述表层和中间层之间为随机定向长天然纤维穿插入定向编织纤维布的孔隙形成的界面层。本发明层间强度高,材料整体弯曲强度以及冲击强度得到了提升,表层编织纹理可完整保留,实现免喷涂表层纹理,具有良好的综合性能。

一种天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料及其制备方法
技术领域
本发明属于复合材料领域,特别涉及一种天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料及其制备方法。
背景技术
热固性树脂作为基质的纤维增强复合材料,一般所需成型时间很长,例如通过热压罐对预浸料坯进行加热加压2小时以上来获得纤维增强复合材料。用热塑性树脂代替常规热固性树脂作为基质的复合材料,能显著缩短成型时间,且可回收利用,已吸引了多数开发和研究注意。
天然纤维作为绿色环保低成本原料,可替代玻纤或碳纤成为复合材料的增强体。天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料已有较多研究。其中一般为连续天然纤维布与热塑性树脂层压复合,或者无序纤维与热塑性树脂复合。若以连续天然纤维布为表层,无序纤维为芯层,可以获得带表面花纹的复合材料,但往往三层或多层之间界面只以树脂连接,成为整体材料的薄弱点。
发明内容
本发明所要解决的技术问题是提供一种天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料及其制备方法,该复合材料层间强度高,材料整体弯曲强度以及冲击强度得到了提升,表层编织纹理可完整保留,实现免喷涂表层纹理,具有良好的综合性能。
本发明提供了一种天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料,所述复合材料为三明治结构,上下表层为天然纤维定向编织纤维布,中间层为随机定向长天然纤维与热塑性树脂共混复合层;所述表层和中间层之间为随机定向长天然纤维穿插入定向编织纤维布的孔隙形成的界面层(天然纤维为编织纤维布,一般为单向带或者平纹布、斜纹布等;随机定向长天然纤维为切割天然纤维单丝,随机喷撒,因此纤维方向为随机定向)。
所述天然纤维为大麻纤维、棉纤维、竹纤维、苎麻纤维、亚麻纤维、黄麻纤维、丝纤维中的一种或几种。
所述天然纤维定向编织纤维布为二维或三维编织纤维布,如单向纤维和双向编织纤维如纱、罗等编织结构;孔隙率为10-50%,孔面积范围为0.01-1mm2
所述热塑性树脂为聚酰胺、聚丙烯、聚乙烯、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯、聚碳酸酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯中的一种或几种;所述热塑性树脂为纤维状、颗粒状或液体。优选改性聚丙烯PP。
所述随机定向长天然纤维与热塑性树脂的共混体积比为30-60:40-70;随机定向长天然纤维的长度为10-100mm。
所述表层与中间层的厚度比为1:3-1:10;所述界面层的厚度占总厚度2.5-50%。
本发明还提供了一种天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料的制备方法,包括:
(1)切割长天然纤维,将切割得到的随机定向长天然纤维打松后与热塑性树脂铺展到天然纤维定向编织纤维布上,加压固定,得到多层混合纤维毡;
(2)将多层混合纤维毡阶段升温、阶段加压至树脂熔化,使所述热塑性树脂浸渍在定向编织纤维布和长天然纤维的空间中,然后冷却,放入模具中;将模具温度升至热塑性树脂软化点或熔点以上,合模定型后冷却,获得天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料。
所述步骤(1)中的加压固定工艺参数为:温度80℃-100℃,压力4-5MPa,保持压力0.5-2min,同时排气、排除水分。
所述步骤(2)中的阶段升温、阶段加压工艺参数为:10℃/min升温至150℃,加压5MPa,后卸压至1MPa,目的是排气;后升温至180-195℃(视热塑性树脂熔点或软化点确定),加压10-12MPa,保压10min,后冷却开模。
有益效果
本发明层间强度高,材料整体弯曲强度以及冲击强度得到了提升,表层编织纹理可完整保留,实现免喷涂表层纹理,具有良好的综合性能;使用的原料为100%可回收材料,回收破碎料可与长天然纤维按比例混合,做中间层结构,添加比例20-50%,不影响最终产品性能;定向编织纤维布可连续生产,具有高效生产特点。

具体实施方式
下面结合具体实施例,进一步阐述本发明。应理解,这些实施例仅用于说明本发明而不用于限制本发明的范围。此外应理解,在阅读了本发明讲授的内容之后,本领域技术人员可以对本发明作各种改动或修改,这些等价形式同样落于本申请所附权利要求书所限定的范围。
孔隙率是指定向纤维布所含的孔隙面积与总面积之比,以百分数(%)表示。界面层厚度h可由SEM观测。界面层厚度比=2h/(A+B+A)*100%。A为表层天然纤维定向编织纤维布厚度,B为中间层随机定向长天然纤维与热塑性树脂共混复合层厚度。
实施例和对比例的制备方法包括如下步骤
(1)切割天然纤维,将切割得到的随机定向长天然纤维打松后与热塑性树脂铺展到天然纤维定向编织纤维布上,加压固定,得到多层混合纤维毡;
(2)将多层混合纤维毡中的热塑性树脂在压力下阶段升温、阶段加压至树脂熔化,使所述热塑性树脂浸渍在定向编织纤维布和长天然纤维的空间中,然后冷却,放入模具中;将模具温度升至热塑性树脂软化点或熔点以上,合模定型后冷却,获得天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料。
所述步骤(1)中的加压固定工艺参数为:温度80℃-100℃,压力4-5MPa,保持压力0.5-2min,同时排气、排除水分。
所述步骤(2)中的阶段升温、阶段加压工艺参数为:10℃/min升温至150℃,加压5MPa,后卸压至1MPa,目的是排气;后升温至180-195℃(视热塑性树脂熔点或软化点确定),加压10-12MPa,保压10min,后冷却开模。

对比例1可见,单独随机定向长天然纤维强度低,韧性较好,同时表面效果差,后续需要喷漆;对比例2可见单独纤维布复合PP,强度较高,韧性较差;对比例3可见孔隙率过高,强度和韧性下降;对比例4可见,B层天然纤维含量过高,引起浸润不足,强度和韧性下降;实施例1可见,合适的孔隙率和B层成分及层间厚度,可以达到较好的增强增韧效果;实施例2可见,添加30%回收料,强度和韧性变化不大;实施例3可见,纤维布厚度降低,强度略有降低,冲击略有增加;实施例4与对比例5可见,用液体MMA同样可以达到强度和韧性增加效果。

Claims (9)

1.一种天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料,其特征在于:所述复合材料为三明治结构,表层为天然纤维定向编织纤维布,中间层为随机定向长天然纤维与热塑性树脂共混复合层;所述表层和中间层之间为随机定向长天然纤维穿插入定向编织纤维布的孔隙形成的界面层。
2.根据权利要求1所述的复合材料,其特征在于:所述天然纤维为大麻纤维、棉纤维、竹纤维、苎麻纤维、亚麻纤维、黄麻纤维、丝纤维中的一种或几种。
3.根据权利要求1所述的复合材料,其特征在于:所述天然纤维定向编织纤维布为二维或三维编织纤维布,孔隙率为10-50%,孔面积范围为0.01-1mm2
4.根据权利要求1所述的复合材料,其特征在于:所述热塑性树脂为聚酰胺、聚丙烯、聚乙烯、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯、聚碳酸酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯中的一种或几种;所述热塑性树脂为纤维状、颗粒状或液体。
5.根据权利要求1所述的复合材料,其特征在于:所述随机定向长天然纤维体积含量为20%-50%,热塑性树脂体积含量为50%-80%;随机定向长天然纤维的长度为10-100mm。
6.根据权利要求1所述的复合材料,其特征在于:所述表层与中间层的厚度比为1:3-1:10;所述界面层的厚度占总厚度2.5-50%。
7.一种天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料的制备方法,包括:
(1)切割长天然纤维,将切割得到的随机定向长天然纤维打松后与热塑性树脂铺展到天然纤维定向编织纤维布上,加压固定,得到多层混合纤维毡;
(2)将多层混合纤维阶段升温、阶段加压至树脂熔化,使所述热塑性树脂浸渍在定向编织纤维布和长天然纤维的空间中,然后冷却,放入模具中;将模具温度升至热塑性树脂软化点或熔点以上,合模定型后冷却,获得天然纤维增强热塑性复合材料。
8.根据权利要求7所述的制备方法,其特征在于:所述步骤(1)中的加压固定工艺参数为:温度80℃-100℃,压力4-5MPa,保持压力0.5-2min,同时排气、排除水分。
9.根据权利要求7所述的制备方法,其特征在于:所述步骤(2)中的阶段升温、阶段加压工艺参数为:10℃/min升温至150℃,加压5MPa,后卸压至1MPa;后升温至180-195℃,加压10-12MPa,保压10min,后冷却开模。
