Background
Betel nut is native to malaysia, and china is mainly distributed in tropical areas such as Yunnan, hainan and Taiwan. The tropical region of Asia is cultivated widely. Betel nut is an important Chinese medicinal material, and fruits are also used as a chewable product in some minority people in south.
The damage of betel nut refers to the damage of chewing betel nut, which can cause oral cancer besides periodontal disease, oral submucosa fibrosis and oral leukoplakia caused by tooth blackening, abrasion, shaking and gingival atrophy.
Buccal tobacco is a tobacco product containing nicotine. The buccal cigarette is prepared by high temperature sterilization (without fermentation), and nicotine is inhaled by sucking. As such, many people consider moist mouth tobacco to be a healthier choice than cigarettes.
However, the smoking cessation effect of the buccal cigarette is only effective for the novice smokers because the mouth feel and the taste brought by tar are not good.
A new product is urgently needed to be researched and developed, so that the requirements of smokers on cigarettes are met, the smokers are attracted, and the situation that the smokers turn to traditional tobacco with higher harm is reduced; but also meets the requirement of betel nut enthusiasts on betel nuts, attracts the betel nut enthusiasts and has little damage to oral cavities.
