The invention relates to the technical field of natural products, in particular to a composition for eliminating gingival swelling and a preparation method and application thereof.
Background
Redness and swelling of gum refers to redness, swelling and swelling of gum soft tissue around teeth; it is often found in the gingival tissue infectious diseases caused by dental plaque biofilm, and also in local foreign body irritation. However, at present, a special medicine for treating gingival inflammation and daily chemical products such as toothpaste with a remarkable effect of treating gingival inflammation are lacked.
Garlic, name of traditional Chinese medicine. Is bulb of Allium sativum L. of Allium of Liliaceae; has effects in removing toxic materials, relieving swelling, killing parasite, and relieving dysentery; it is commonly used for abscess, sores and ulcers, scabies, tinea, pulmonary tuberculosis, cough, diarrhea and dysentery.
Cranberries, also known as cranberries, grow mainly in the cool, acidic peat soil in the northern hemisphere, and are commonly called the traditional three big fruits in north america with koxter grapes and blueberries; the vegetable fiber is favored by people due to the characteristics of high moisture, low calorie, high fiber and multiple minerals; in addition, it also has effects of caring skin, resisting oxidation, promoting diuresis, removing toxic substances, and protecting cardiovascular system. At present, no research report of garlic and cranberry for eliminating gingival swelling in the prior art exists.

Examples of the experiments
The composition for eliminating redness and swelling of the gum prepared in the embodiments 1 to 7 is added to vaseline by the amount of 3% by weight to prepare a drug to be tested.
The construction method of the guinea pig gingival swelling model comprises the following steps: selecting 300g +/-30 g of guinea pigs, and stabbing the gum between two lower incisors of the guinea pigs with a needle; three days later, guinea pigs with hypertrophied and reddened gums were selected as subjects.
Selecting 48 guinea pigs with red and swollen gums constructed by the method, and dividing the guinea pigs into 8 groups, wherein each group comprises 6 guinea pigs; wherein 7 groups are experimental groups, and 1 group is a control group; in experimental groups 1 to 7, vaseline containing the composition for eliminating redness and swelling of gum in examples 1 to 7 was applied to the redness and swelling of gum of guinea pig 3 times per day; the control group was applied with vaseline without drug; after 7 days of application, the redness and swelling of the gums of each group of guinea pigs was recorded. The test results are shown in table 1.
No improvement was noted for gingival hypertrophy and unchanged or even acute redness; a reduction in gingival hypertrophy or redness reduction is indicated as an improvement; disappearance of the hypertrophic redness of the gums was recorded as return to normal.
Table 1.
As can be seen from the test data in Table 1, the compositions of examples 1-7, which are composed of garlic extract and cranberry extract, have a significant effect of eliminating the redness and swelling of the gums.
