发明背景
上述类型、特别是使用杂酚油或基于焦油的保护剂的已知组合物,尤其在浸渍木材情况时,由于在完成浸渍过程后出现所谓“洇”而具有非常多的先天性缺陷。这种洇的发生是由于,例如,天气的影响、特别是热天气,和处于维修期间的原因并可能持续许多年。在这洇现象中,油扩散到浸渍过的材料表面。于是,如果含焦油的组合物被用于浸渍的话,会在木板表面上形成例如油脂状焦油涂层。在处理木材期间这些焦油涂层会引起问题,且当与皮肤接触时会有害于健康,至少它们可能会引起皮肤发炎,且由于油的挥发性组分之故还有害于眼睛。由于木材表面决不可能完全干燥之故,这些缺陷将一直存在着。
通过被暴露于阳光下而引起的加热作用,浸渍过的木材的洇的现象被大大地加强了。木材的气体排放能使过敏体质的人的皮肤出现类似晒伤的红色。
有人建议通过使用由颜料稳定化的乳液来避免这些缺陷,在所说的乳液中显然是颜料阻止油的扩散。其阻止机理尚未被完全了解,然而,有迹象表明在油与离散的颜料粒子之间存在大的接触角,颜料粒子被埋置在受压下的、被处理材料的微结构中。由于在浸渍过程中没有发生粒子聚结或者当乳液破坏和疏油粒子成为被埋在被处理材料的微孔中,于是使颜料被油湿润变得更加困难或者甚至成为不可能。

发明描述
本发明提供一种用于浸渍多孔材料的组合物,其中组合物含有至少一种具有防腐性能的组分或者当被加热时能释放出一种具有防腐性能的组分,该组合物包含水与油的乳液,所说的乳液含有主表面活性剂和两性添加剂,乳液的pH值等于或接近两性添加剂的等电点。
在本发明的一个方面中,乳液含有至少一种不起乳化剂作用的两性添加剂。在仅含有一种两性添加剂的情况中,乳液的pH值等于或接近该两性添加剂的等电点。如果乳液含有几种两性添加剂的话,乳液的pH值被调整到使其处于或接近各添加剂的等电点的范围,即,是这样来调整pH值的以使其相对于各添加剂的等电点被优化。例如,这可以通过将pH值调整到等于添加剂的等电点或等于各等电点平均值来达到。然而,如果添加剂之一的两性性质具有特别高的重要性的话,pH值还能够分别等于此添加剂的等电点或接近其等电点。就此而言,考虑到这样的添加剂处于不确切的、然而接近等于等电点的乳液的pH值,显示出电中和性而使添加剂组分总是包括一部份显示电中性的粒子与一部份不显示电中性的粒子。在此情况下,各部份的量取决于乳液的pH值。在乳液的pH值等于等电点时,不显示电中性的那部份粒子的量为零。

由于事实上颜料显示未带电荷,其性能被增强以防止油从被处理材料的内部向外流到其表面。因此其原因可能是接触角增加了,因此颜料被油所湿润的作用被进一步地减少。此外,由于是中性,颜料不会与含在被处理材料中的水或其它化学物质反应,从而使疏油性和由此而引起的阻挡油从材料向外流出的作用不受损害。这既指当材料处理后,含在乳液中的水快速地蒸发的情况,也指当乳液由于水的蒸发而破裂,而且通过外部影响-例如雨-水进入到被处理材料的表面时的情况。在这两种情况下,甚至在时间过程中重新使颜料带电的前提下,颜料也不会与水反应,即它仍然是干的并完全保持其阻挡油外流的性质。
除了颜料外,还有一种或多种惰性填料能作为乳液的组分。这些惰性填料显示基本上与颜料具有相同的优点,且还能被两性表面活性剂所激活或其自身是两性的。就关于防止油从被处理的材料向外流动的正面作用而言,惰性填料的作用与颜料是一样地有效的。
在颜料或惰性填料本身分别是两性的情况中,如果分别对颜料或惰性填料进行表面激活处理的话,仍然会是非常有好处的。
表面激活是通过将表面活性剂分别施加到颜料或情性填料来实现的。这可以通过用活化剂的预涂,由此而使颜料或惰性填料分别用活化剂预处理来进行。此外,表面活化能够通过吸附活化剂或通过与活化剂的化学反应来进行。
表面活化还能够通过使用结构形成剂来实现。这样的化学试剂例如为聚丙烯酸。它将水转化成凝胶并由此改变水的流变性。
本发明的另一种浸渍剂可含有至少一种在某个特定pH值时是非离子的而在其他pH值下是离子的组分。就本发明的这种浸渍剂而言,乳液的pH值基本上是这样调整的以致达到电荷的零点,即在该pH值下组分是非离子的。如果乳液含有几种这样组分的话,应调整乳液的pH值到使每一种这样的组分分别处于具有其零点电荷的pH值范围内。调整此pH值的准则与调整上述的本发明的含有几种两性添加剂浸渍剂的pH值是一样的。于是,在评价各种不同组分的各别的非离子性的重要性时,还必须优化乳液pH值的调整。于是,必须考虑到这样组分还在乳液的pH值下所显示的非离子性,该pH值不能确切地与电荷的零点相一致,但基本上是一致的。因为组分总是包含一部份非离子的粒子和一部份离子性的粒子,因此各部份的量取决于乳液的pH值。在相应于电荷零点的乳液的pH值下,离子部份的量等于零。
就下面所述的本发明的此另一种浸渍剂而言,它大大地改进了对被处理材料例如木材的渗透,这种改进是通过使用一种或几种在上述意义是非离子的组分和将pH值调整到使各组分在电性上为中性而获得的。这种重大改进性的渗透,可能是由于非离子组分与被处理的带电荷材料之间没有发生或只发生很少的电性上相互反应之故。
如果它只含有电中性组分,浸渍组合物就会特别好地发挥其优点。如上所述,电中性是由于当被调整到某一pH值时组分具有零点电荷所致的,或者是由于所使用的组分通常是非离子的,即不取决于乳液pH值的非离子性而引起的,或者是由于某些组分是两性的且在考虑两性的同时优化乳液的pH值而引起的。
浸渍剂乳液能具有作为非离子组分的粒子,所说的非离子组分粒子是由二种或更多种的成分组成,其中的一种成分是表面活性剂,该表面活性剂相当于一种起尽可能有效地精确调整pH值和在被分散的粒子上产生零点电荷的分散剂的作用。优选所有的粒子或至少一部份粒子是由带有这样的表面活性剂的颜料或惰性填料组成的。同时在窄的pH值范围内颜料或惰性填料被表面活性剂所激活和分散,由此确保粒子在其分散介质中呈现零点电荷。
还能考虑到浸渍剂乳液具有非离子的颜料或非离子的填料作为具有零点电荷的组分。所说的非离子的颜料或非离子的惰性填料最好是分别被再次表面激活的。
在使用颜料和使用惰性填料的这两种情况中,由于电中性之故,再一次不仅保证进入到被处理材料的好的渗透作用,而且还保证颜料或惰性填料分别起防止油部份从乳液中扩散出的非常有效作用。
在本发明的两种浸渍剂中,保护被处理材料的活性物质是处于例如油相中的。然而,它们还能处于水相中、在两相中或在两相间,即在乳液粒子的包封涂层(所谓界面)中。如果浸渍油部份通过使用其它相当的毒物而被减少的话,这是特别有好处的。那么乳液的水部份将能随着油部份的减少而增加。毒物可被引入到载体粒子上。
在两种浸渍剂中,优选作为颜料使用所有不同形式的二氧化钛和所有不同形式的氧化铁。氧化铁可以是合成的或源于天然的,其中源于天然的氧化铁被优选使用。预涂的二氧化钛是特别适用的。为了在被处理材料中达到尽可能好的渗透与分散,颜料或颜料粒子分别应不大于1μm。
混合类型的粒子能产生另外的好处。在两种浸渍剂中优选使用硅、borytes、硫酸硼、硫酸钙、通用型颜料、碳酸钙、木粉、各种非膨胀的粘土、飞灰、铝土矿废料、各种惰性矿物和集料作为惰性填料。还有,为了在被处理材料中达到最好可能的渗透和分散,惰性填料或包括惰性填料作为主要成分的粒子不应大于1μm。
优选,乳液含有浸渍杂酚油。这是一种150年以来已被证实的能有效地保护木材的煤焦油。然而,还有许多保护木材的活性物质也是可用的。于是木材保护用的活性物质优选从下列的活性物质中选择:
煤焦油,oil slade tars,木焦油例如榉木焦油,沥青及其衍生物,蜡,天然树脂,合成树脂,石油的树脂衍生物,胶乳,聚合物,干燥剂,抗氧剂,植物油例如菜子油,矿物油,石油,合成油,杀真菌剂,杀虫剂和杀菌剂。
另外,浸渍剂能够含有固定剂。这些固定剂是染料生产中所已知的,且通过化学键合水而形成改进的表面密封。通过使用固定剂,例如能使处理过的木材中的水分含量被稳定,即,达到使木材以后无须再进行干燥。由此保证了木材含水量的平衡,避免以后发生龟裂和收缩。固定剂还可以被使用于除木材外的其他被处理材料上。固定剂能够是油固化的或水溶性的。可能的固定剂是,例如,环氧树脂和聚氨酯,天然的和/或合成的干燥剂。
添加剂和组分还可以是,例如:
减少结晶和改进液化的液化剂,改变尤其是降低粘度用的试剂,防结皮剂,UV-辐照吸收剂,湿润剂,软化剂,干燥延缓剂,触变剂,流变剂,结构形成剂和/或胶凝剂,多糖类,点阵结构形成剂(聚合物引发剂),染料,荧光增白剂,抗沉降剂,不含颜料的染料,微化的金属粒子,金属皂,金属盐,金属配合物和氢化催化剂。
优选,二种浸渍剂含有热硬化剂。这些热硬化剂受热能的作用而被激活,且具有使被处理材料获得对变形与龟裂形成具有额外的稳定性。热硬化剂为,例如,酚树脂、被苯酚-甲基丙烯酸甲酯封闭的异氰酸酯。
为了获得尺寸稳定性还可以在被处理材料中化学键合水泥粒子。由此而使材料的强度提高。为此目的还可以使用硅。
还可以提供含有一种或多种具有零点电荷的表面活性剂的浸渍剂,由此而使所生产的乳液和分散体在零点电荷方面受到有利的影响。
在本发明的组合物中,水部份例如能占99.5%和油部份能占0.5%。然而,此二部份的比例还能反转或可能为任何的另外比例。能使用碳氟化合物作为助乳化剂。
另外,对于好的渗透与分散性和防止洇现象而言,本发明的浸渍剂还显示另外的优点,如改进表面的密封,更快的干燥(尤其是在施加真空的浸渍过程时),提高浸渍深度,减少气味和提高浸渍剂的效果。
浸渍组合物能够例如通过刷涂、辊涂、喷涂、浸涂、浸渍-扩散、吸收或在常温或高温下浸渍的树液置换法来施用。浸渍的树液置换法能够在低压或高压下进行。就本发明的浸渍剂而言,适于使用压力、真空与温度控制的锅炉-压力法。
以下通过具体的实施方案对本发明进行更详细的介绍

TriamphoramCPI是化合物N-干椰子仁二丙烯三氨基丙酸的单乙二醇溶液的商品名。此化合物是两性表面活性剂。
此乳液是在高剪力作用下通过使用ULTRA TURRAXT25-一种均化剂而生产的。制成的乳液是油包水的乳液,且具有通过磷酸调整而达到的最终pH值为6.18(22.0℃)。乳液是在65℃下生产的。它显示出卓越的微粒尺寸和微粒范围(5-20μm),且被证明是稳定与均匀的。微粒尺寸是使用400倍显微镜测定的。

FC 99是一种基于CF3(CF2)-Z的氟化烃,一种非离子表面活性剂,其中Z为增溶基团。

在长时期的静置和反复加热与冷却循环之后,该乳液显示卓越的稳定性。分散相是使用专门碟形载片的400倍OlympusTM显微镜来测定粒径的。
Ultrez 10TM聚合物是交联的聚丙烯酸。
ArmeenTM CD选自脂族长链胺。
用胺非常精确地中和聚丙烯酸,以确保在二氧化钛粒子上没有净电荷存在,所说的二氧化钛在乳液的I.E.P.pH值为6.25(20℃)下被非常均匀地分散。

此乳液组合物是在高剪切力下使用装有细粒发生器的Ultra TurraxTMT45设备生产的,在65℃乳化之前,FC 99被添加到制备的水相中和FC 430被添加到油相中。产生非常均匀的乳液。分散相微粒的尺寸范围用OlympusTM显微镜测定为2μm-20μm,使用小心地准备的血球容量计载片,以保证在此分析期间在乳液试样中没有应力或微粒变形发生。此乳液在长时期的贮存期间经受加热与冷却的循环,从目测与显微镜观察评估,在每一种情况中均没有发生不稳定。分析此非离子乳液的pH值为6.28(25℃),这证明亚微米级二氧化钛粒子上的电荷为零。

此乳液是在超高剪力下使用装有细粒发生器的Ultra TurraxTM设备生产的。在加热的同时将17A2非离子表面活性剂溶于油相中。FC 99被溶于水相中,在乳化之前水相中分散有亚微米级氧化铁红粒子。将油相加热到65.0℃,并在10000r.p.m.的转动轴速度下随着剪力增加到最大剪力将其添加到水相中。
产生非常细的均匀乳液,且此乳液具有非常长的经受冷与热循环的贮存期,而从目测与显微镜观察均证实没有出现不稳定性。分散相微粒的尺寸范围为2μm-23μm,而大部份在15微米以下。所测定的pH值为6.37(21。5℃),这保证了在均匀分散的亚微米级氧化铁粒子上的电荷为零。
TericTM17A2是一种芳族油溶性表面活性剂,它是由用二分子环氧乙烷乙氧基化的十六烷醇-油醇衍生的。
在整个说明书与权利要求书中,所使用的词“包括”其含义是非排他性的。
Claims (10)
1.浸渍多孔材料用的组合物,其中该组合物含有至少一种具有防腐性能的组分或者当被加热时能释放出一种具有防腐性能的组分,该组合物包括水与油的乳液,所述乳液含有主表面活性剂和两性添加剂,乳液的pH值等于或接近两性添加剂的等电点。
2.权利要求1的组合物,其中两性添加剂包括一种或多种用两性表面活性剂预处理过的粒子材料。
3.权利要求2的组合物,包括与两性表面活性剂反应的亚微米级颜料粒子。
4.权利要求2的组合物,包括用两性表面活性剂预处理过的惰性填料。
5.权利要求2、3或4的组合物,包括已用流变改进剂预处理过的粒子。
6.权利要求1-5的任何一项权利要求的组合物,其中两性添加剂包括一种或多种具有零点电荷的颜料和/或填料。
7.权利要求6的组合物,其中颜料或填料是表面被激活的。
8.任何一项前述权利要求的组合物,含有杂酚油。
9.制备如权利要求1-5中任一项权利要求所规定的组合物的方法,其中通过添加有机或无机酸或碱将乳液的pH值调整到等于或接近两性添加剂的等电点。
10.一种木材防腐的方法,它包括用权利要求1-8所述的组合物浸渍木材。
