Technical Field

The hardenability is one of important indexes for representing the quality of steel, and refers to the capacity of austenitized steel to obtain martensite during quenching, and the size of the austenitized steel is expressed by the depth of a quenched layer and the hardness distribution obtained by quenching the steel under certain conditions. The method for measuring the hardenability of the steel is commonly used at present, and is an end quenching method, such as gear steel, cold forging steel and the like, and the method is used for detecting the hardenability of the steel.
Currently, most enterprises perform end quenching tests of steel according to national standard (GBT 225-2006) regulations to detect the hardenability of the steel. The test steps mainly comprise: (1) Heating a cylindrical sample to a certain specified temperature in an austenite region, and preserving heat for a certain time according to the specified temperature; (2) Carrying out water spray quenching on the end face of the steel plate under a specified condition; (3) The hardness is measured at a prescribed position on the longitudinal grinding plane of the sample, and the hardenability is determined according to the hardness value change of the steel. At the same time, the sampling position of the sample is also specified, and the sample support should ensure that the axis of the sample is on the same straight line with the central line of the water jet, and the position is kept unchanged during quenching.
During the end quenching test, the relative position between the sample support and the water spray port and whether the sample is centered above the water spray port directly influence the accuracy of the test result, however, in the test process, the sample support moves downwards or rotates along with frequent contact between the sample and the sample support, the sample support needs to be adjusted, a common adjusting tool is a steel plate ruler, the relative position of the sample support is adjusted, the sample support is neutral through visual adjustment, a certain error exists due to manual observation, and meanwhile, the working efficiency is more general.
Therefore, it is necessary to develop a simple and quick adjusting device, which has great significance and application prospect in improving the accuracy and the working efficiency of adjusting the position of the sample bracket in the end quenching test.
