Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an electronic device. An electronic device includes: a flexible display panel including a flexible display layer and a flexible cover sheet layer bonded to the flexible display layer; the middle frame comprises a bottom wall, side walls and a containing cavity, the bottom wall and the side walls enclose the containing cavity, the flexible display layer is arranged in the containing cavity, and the flexible cover plate layer and the side walls are arranged in a stacked mode; a stiffening layer connected between the flexible cover sheet layer and the side wall.
Description
Technical Field
The disclosure relates to the technical field of terminals, and in particular relates to electronic equipment.
Background
In order to achieve both large-screen display and portability of electronic devices, foldable electronic devices have been developed. In general, a flexible display panel is configured for a foldable electronic device, and the flexible display panel is generally configured with a flexible cover plate for protecting a display layer by a user, but because the flexible cover plate is large in flexibility and low in strength, the flexible cover plate is easily wrinkled, and the surface of the flexible display panel is uneven, so that the aesthetic property of the whole machine is affected.
Disclosure of Invention
The present disclosure provides an electronic device to solve the deficiencies in the related art.
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided an electronic apparatus including:
a flexible display panel including a flexible display layer and a flexible cover plate layer covering the flexible display layer;
the middle frame comprises a bottom wall, a containing cavity and a plurality of side walls, wherein the bottom wall and the side walls enclose the containing cavity, the flexible display layer is arranged in the containing cavity, and the flexible cover plate layer and at least part of the side walls are overlapped;
a stiffening layer connected between the flexible cover sheet layer and the side wall.
Optionally, at least one of the side walls includes a step portion formed by recessing from a surface of the side wall remote from the bottom wall toward the bottom wall, and the reinforcing layer is disposed in the step portion.
Optionally, the flexible cover layer includes a first side edge that is flush with a corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer;
the side wall comprises a first side wall comprising the step portion, and the first side edge and the corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer extend into the step portion;
the stiffening layer comprises a first stiffening layer, which is arranged between the step part and the flexible display layer.
Optionally, the flexible cover sheet layer includes a second side edge that protrudes from a corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer;
the flexible display panel further comprises a polaroid, wherein the polaroid is arranged between the flexible display layer and the flexible cover plate layer, and the polaroid is at least overlapped with the second side edge;
the side wall comprises a second side wall, the second side wall comprises the step part, and the second side edge and the part, corresponding to the second side edge, of the polarizer extend into the step part;
the reinforcing layer comprises a second reinforcing layer, and the second reinforcing layer is arranged between the step part and the polaroid.
Optionally, each side edge of the flexible cover plate layer protrudes from a corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer, and the flexible cover plate layer extends into the stepped portion of the corresponding side wall;
the reinforcing layer is arranged between each side edge of the flexible display layer and the step part, and the flexible cover plate layer protrudes out of the step part.
Optionally, the method further comprises a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer, wherein the first adhesive layer is adhered between the reinforcing layer and the flexible cover plate layer, and the second adhesive layer is adhered between the step part and the reinforcing layer.
Optionally, the flexible cover plate layer is received in the step portion, and the flexible cover plate layer is flush with a surface of the side wall remote from the bottom wall.
Optionally, the thickness of the stiffening layer is greater than or equal to 0.04mm and less than or equal to 0.3mm.
Optionally, the stiffening layer includes at least one of:
glass fiber layer, kevlar fiber layer, carbon fiber layer, boron fiber layer, steel sheet layer.
Optionally, the neutral layer of the electronic device is a surface of the flexible cover sheet layer facing an exterior of the electronic device or a surface facing an interior of the electronic device.

according to the embodiment, the reinforcing layer is arranged between the side wall and the flexible cover plate layer, so that the support is provided for the flexible cover plate layer through the reinforcing layer, the folds and unevenness of the flexible cover plate layer can be reduced, and the area of the reinforcing layer is far smaller than the whole area of the flexible cover plate layer due to the fact that the reinforcing layer is only arranged between the side wall and the flexible cover plate layer, the thickness of the middle area of the flexible cover plate is not increased, and the folding of the flexible display panel is facilitated.

Reference will now be made in detail to exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the accompanying drawings, the same numbers in different drawings refer to the same or similar elements, unless otherwise indicated. The implementations described in the following exemplary examples are not representative of all implementations consistent with the present disclosure. Fig. 1 is a schematic partial cross-sectional view of an electronic device 100 in the related art, and as shown in fig. 1, the electronic device 100 may include a flexible display layer 101, a housing 102, a first adhesive layer 103, a first flexible cover 104, a second adhesive layer 105, and a second flexible cover 106. The flexible display layer 101 may be connected to the first flexible cover plate 104 through a first adhesive layer 103, and the first flexible cover plate 104 may be connected to the second flexible cover plate 106 through a second adhesive layer 105. In this way, a double-layer cover plate layer can be formed by the first flexible cover plate 104 and the second flexible cover plate 106, thereby increasing the thickness and strength, and thus the flatness of the second flexible cover plate 106 forming the surface of the electronic device 100 can be improved. However, in this related art, since a double-layered flexible cover plate is provided, the thickness is increased, thereby increasing the difficulty of folding the electronic device 100, and the increase in thickness also reduces the folding fatigue limit of the display panel.
Accordingly, the present application provides an electronic device 200 as shown in fig. 2 and 3, the electronic device 200 may include a flexible display panel 1 and a middle frame 2, and the flexible display panel 1 may include a flexible display layer 11 and a flexible cover sheet layer 12 bonded to the flexible display layer 11. The middle frame 2 may include a bottom wall 21, a plurality of side walls 22, and a receiving cavity 23, the bottom wall 21 and the plurality of side walls 22 may enclose the receiving cavity 23, the flexible display layer 11 may be disposed within the receiving cavity 23, and the flexible cover layer 12 may be disposed in a stack with the side walls 22. The flexible cover plate layer 12 may include a PI (polyimide film) film layer, and because the flexible cover plate layer 12 has larger flexibility and smaller strength, and is very prone to be uneven, as shown in fig. 3, the electronic device 200 may further include a reinforcing layer 3, where the reinforcing layer 3 may be disposed between the side wall 22 and the flexible cover plate layer 12, so that a certain support may be provided for the flexible cover plate layer 12 by the reinforcing layer 3, and wrinkles and unevenness of the flexible cover plate layer 12 may be reduced, and because the reinforcing layer 3 is disposed only between the side wall 22 and the flexible cover plate layer 12, its area may be far smaller than the whole area of the flexible cover plate layer 12, so that the thickness of the middle area of the flexible cover plate layer 12 may not be increased, which is beneficial to realizing folding of the flexible display panel 1.
Wherein the thickness of the stiffening layer 3 may be greater than or equal to 0.04mm and less than or equal to 0.3mm, for example, the thickness of the stiffening layer 3 may be equal to 0.05mm, or 0.06mm, or 0.1mm, or 0.15mm, which may be specifically selected according to practical situations, and by limiting the thickness of the stiffening layer 3, it may be avoided that the stiffening layer 3 is too thin to play a supporting role, while it may be avoided that the stiffening layer 3 is too thick to increase the overall thickness of the electronic device 200. The reinforcing layer 3 may include one or more of a glass fiber layer, a kevlar fiber layer, a carbon fiber layer, a boron fiber layer, and a steel sheet layer, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
Further, in order to improve the bending performance of the flexible display panel 1, the surface of the flexible cover plate layer 12 facing the outside of the electronic device 200, or the surface of the flexible cover plate layer 12 facing the inside of the electronic device 200 may be designed as a neutral layer of the electronic device 200, so that when the electronic device 200 is bent, the structural layers of the flexible display panel 1, which are located on the side of the flexible cover plate layer 12 facing the inside of the electronic device 200, are compressed, and the probability of unrecoverable deformation of the structural layers due to stretching is reduced.
As shown in fig. 3, the reinforcing layer 3 may be disposed on a surface of the side wall 22 away from the bottom wall 21 in a stacked manner, or in other embodiments, as shown in fig. 4, the side wall 22 may include a step portion 221, where the step portion 221 may be formed by recessing from a surface of the side wall 22 away from the bottom wall 21 with respect to the bottom wall 21, and the reinforcing layer 3 may be disposed in the step portion 221, so that compared with the technical solution shown in fig. 1, the technical solution of fig. 4 is beneficial to reduce the overall thickness of the electronic device 200, and accords with the trend of light and thin development of the electronic device 200. Still referring to fig. 4, the flexible cover plate layer 12 may be received in the step 221, and the flexible cover plate layer 12 may be flush with the surface of the side wall 22 away from the bottom wall 21, so as to improve the aesthetic appearance, and the thickness of the electronic device 200 may be further reduced by the arrangement that the reinforcement layer 3 is received in the step 221, while being located outside the step 221 with respect to the flexible cover plate layer 12.
In an embodiment, the flexible cover sheet layer 12 may include a first side edge 121, and the first side edge 121 may be disposed flush with the flexible display layer 11. The sidewall 22 may include a first sidewall 222, the first sidewall 222 may include a stepped portion 221, both the first side edge 121 and a portion where the flexible display layer 11 and the first side edge 121 are laminated may extend into the stepped portion 221, and the reinforcing layer 3 may include a first reinforcing layer 31, and the first reinforcing layer 31 may be disposed between the stepped portion 221 and the flexible display layer 11, and may be strength-reinforced by the first reinforcing layer 31 on one hand and may support the flexible display layer 11 by the first reinforcing layer 31 on the other hand.
In another embodiment, as shown in fig. 5, the flexible cover layer 12 may include a second side edge 122, the second side edge 122 may protrude from a corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer 11, the flexible display panel 1 may further include a polarizer 18, the polarizer 18 is disposed between the flexible cover layer 12 and the flexible display layer 11, and the polarizer 18 protrudes from a side of the flexible display layer 11 corresponding to the second side edge 122, the side wall 22 may further include a second side wall 223, the second side wall 223 includes a step 221, a portion of the second side edge 122 of the flexible cover layer 12 and the polarizer 18 corresponding to the second side edge 122 may protrude into the step 221, the reinforcing layer 3 may include a second reinforcing layer 32 disposed between the polarizer 18 and the step 221, and compared to the embodiment shown in fig. 4, the strength of the flexible cover layer 12 is enhanced, and at the same time, since the flexible display layer 11 may be relatively far from the second side wall 223, damage to the flexible display layer 11 may be reduced, which is beneficial for improving the yield of the assembly process, and in case of the electronic device 100 may also reduce the risk of damage to the flexible display layer 11 due to impact.
In fact, in the embodiments of fig. 4 and 5, a third side wall 224 may be included, respectively, the flexible cover layer 12 may extend towards the third side wall 224 and protrude from the flexible display layer 11, and the flexible cover layer 12 may cover the surface of the third side wall 224 remote from the bottom wall 21, and the stiffening layer 3 may include a third stiffening layer 33 arranged between the third side wall 224 and the flexible cover layer 12. It should be noted that, taking the electronic device 100 as a cuboid mobile phone as an example, the mobile phone may include four sidewalls, which may be sidewalls with the same structure, for example, the four sidewalls are all first sidewalls, second sidewalls or third sidewalls, and meanwhile, adapt to the arrangement mode of the corresponding reinforcing layer 3; alternatively, in other embodiments, the four sidewalls may be different sidewalls, for example, the mobile phone may include multiple sidewall structures of the first sidewall, the second sidewall and the third sidewall at the same time, and the arrangement manner of the corresponding reinforcing layer 3 may be adapted at the same time, which may be specifically designed according to needs, and the disclosure is not limited thereto.
Further, the flexible display panel 1 may further include a flexible circuit board 13 electrically connected to the flexible display layer 11, the flexible circuit board 13 may be connected to a main board of the electronic device 200, and the main board may transmit a control signal through the flexible circuit board 13 to control a display state of the flexible display layer 11. Specifically, since the flexible cover sheet layer 12 extends toward the third sidewall 224 and protrudes from the flexible display layer 11, a relief space may be formed by the portion of the flexible cover sheet layer 12 protruding from the flexible display layer 11 and the flexible display layer 11, so that the flexible circuit board 13 may be bent from the flexible display layer 11 toward the side edge of the third sidewall 224 in a direction away from the flexible cover sheet layer 12, thereby covering the flexible circuit board 13 by the flexible cover sheet layer 12 and improving the aesthetic appearance. The third sidewall 224 may be located at the bottom, top, or may be a side of the electronic device 200, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
In the embodiment of fig. 4 and 5, the flexible display panel 1 may further include an optical adhesive layer 14, a protective film layer 15, a support layer 16, and a copper foil layer 17. The flexible display layer 11 and the flexible cover plate layer 12 can be bonded through the optical adhesive layer 14, and the protective film layer 15 can be arranged on one side of the flexible cover plate layer 12 away from the flexible display layer 11 and bonded with the flexible display layer 11; the supporting layer 16 may be disposed on a side of the flexible display layer 11 away from the flexible cover plate layer 12, and the supporting layer 16 may be disposed between the copper foil layer 17 and the flexible display layer 11, so that the flexible display panel 1 may be supported and protected by the supporting layer 16 on one hand, and may be protected against static electricity by the copper foil layer 17 on the other hand. Of course, in other embodiments, the flexible display panel 1 may further include other structural layers, or may also include one or more of the optical adhesive layer 14, the protective film layer 15, the supporting layer 16, and the copper foil layer 17, which is not limited in this application.
In another embodiment, each side edge of the flexible cover sheet layer 12 may protrude from the corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer 11 as shown in fig. 6, the reinforcing layer 3 may be disposed between each side edge of the flexible cover sheet layer 12 protruding from the flexible display layer 11 and the side wall 22, and as shown in fig. 6, each of the reinforcing layer 3 and a portion of the flexible cover sheet layer 12 may be received in the stepped portion 221. Of course, in other embodiments, the flexible cover sheet layer 12 may be located outside of the step 221, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
In the above-described respective embodiments, the electronic device 200 may further include a first adhesive layer 4 and a second adhesive layer 5, the first adhesive layer 4 being adhered between the reinforcing layer 3 and the flexible cover sheet layer 12, the second adhesive layer 5 being adhered between the step 221 and the reinforcing layer 3, whereby the reinforcing layer 3 and the side wall 22 may be connected and the reinforcing layer 3 and the flexible cover sheet layer 12 may be connected through the first adhesive layer 4 and the second adhesive layer 5.

Claims (15)
1. An electronic device, comprising:
a flexible display panel including a flexible display layer and a flexible cover plate layer covering the flexible display layer;
the middle frame comprises a bottom wall, a containing cavity and a plurality of side walls, wherein the bottom wall and the side walls enclose the containing cavity, the flexible display layer is arranged in the containing cavity, and the flexible cover plate layer and at least part of the side walls are overlapped;
a stiffening layer connected between the flexible cover sheet layer and the sidewall, the stiffening layer comprising at least one of: a glass fiber layer, a Kevlar fiber layer, a carbon fiber layer, a boron fiber layer and a steel sheet layer;
at least one side wall comprises a step part, the step part is concavely formed from the surface of the side wall away from the bottom wall towards the bottom wall, and the reinforcing layer is arranged in the step part;
the flexible cover layer includes a first side edge that is flush with a corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer;
the side wall comprises a first side wall comprising the step portion, and the first side edge and the corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer extend into the step portion;
the stiffening layer comprises a first stiffening layer, which is arranged between the step part and the flexible display layer.
2. The electronic device of claim 1, further comprising a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer, the first adhesive layer being adhered between the stiffening layer and the flexible cover sheet layer, the second adhesive layer being adhered between the step and the stiffening layer.
3. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the flexible cover sheet is received within the step and the flexible cover sheet is flush with a surface of the side wall remote from the bottom wall.
4. The electronic device according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of the stiffening layer is greater than or equal to 0.04mm and less than or equal to 0.3mm.
5. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the neutral layer of the electronic device is a surface of the flexible cover sheet layer facing an exterior of the electronic device or a surface facing an interior of the electronic device.
6. An electronic device, comprising:
a flexible display panel including a flexible display layer and a flexible cover plate layer covering the flexible display layer;
the middle frame comprises a bottom wall, a containing cavity and a plurality of side walls, wherein the bottom wall and the side walls enclose the containing cavity, the flexible display layer is arranged in the containing cavity, and the flexible cover plate layer and at least part of the side walls are overlapped;
a stiffening layer connected between the flexible cover sheet layer and the sidewall, the stiffening layer comprising at least one of: a glass fiber layer, a Kevlar fiber layer, a carbon fiber layer, a boron fiber layer and a steel sheet layer;
at least one side wall comprises a step part, the step part is concavely formed from the surface of the side wall away from the bottom wall towards the bottom wall, and the reinforcing layer is arranged in the step part;
the flexible cover sheet layer includes a second side edge that protrudes from a corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer;
the flexible display panel further comprises a polaroid, wherein the polaroid is arranged between the flexible display layer and the flexible cover plate layer, and the polaroid is at least overlapped with the second side edge;
the side wall comprises a second side wall, the second side wall comprises the step part, and the second side edge and the part, corresponding to the second side edge, of the polarizer extend into the step part;
the reinforcing layer comprises a second reinforcing layer, and the second reinforcing layer is arranged between the step part and the polaroid.
7. The electronic device of claim 6, further comprising a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer, the first adhesive layer being adhered between the stiffening layer and the flexible cover sheet layer, the second adhesive layer being adhered between the step and the stiffening layer.
8. The electronic device of claim 6, wherein the flexible cover sheet is received within the step and the flexible cover sheet is flush with a surface of the side wall remote from the bottom wall.
9. The electronic device of claim 6, wherein the thickness of the stiffening layer is greater than or equal to 0.04mm and less than or equal to 0.3mm.
10. The electronic device of claim 6, wherein the neutral layer of the electronic device is a surface of the flexible cover sheet layer facing an exterior of the electronic device or a surface facing an interior of the electronic device.
11. An electronic device, comprising:
a flexible display panel including a flexible display layer and a flexible cover plate layer covering the flexible display layer;
the middle frame comprises a bottom wall, a containing cavity and a plurality of side walls, wherein the bottom wall and the side walls enclose the containing cavity, the flexible display layer is arranged in the containing cavity, and the flexible cover plate layer and at least part of the side walls are overlapped;
a stiffening layer connected between the flexible cover sheet layer and the sidewall, the stiffening layer comprising at least one of: a glass fiber layer, a Kevlar fiber layer, a carbon fiber layer, a boron fiber layer and a steel sheet layer;
at least one side wall comprises a step part, the step part is concavely formed from the surface of the side wall away from the bottom wall towards the bottom wall, and the reinforcing layer is arranged in the step part;
each side edge of the flexible cover plate layer protrudes out of the corresponding side edge of the flexible display layer, and the flexible cover plate layer extends into the stepped part of the corresponding side wall;
the reinforcing layer is arranged between each side edge of the flexible display layer and the step part, and the flexible cover plate layer protrudes out of the step part.
12. The electronic device of claim 11, further comprising a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer, the first adhesive layer being adhered between the stiffening layer and the flexible cover sheet layer, the second adhesive layer being adhered between the step and the stiffening layer.
13. The electronic device of claim 11, wherein the flexible cover sheet is received within the step and the flexible cover sheet is flush with a surface of the side wall remote from the bottom wall.
14. The electronic device of claim 11, wherein the thickness of the stiffening layer is greater than or equal to 0.04mm and less than or equal to 0.3mm.
15. The electronic device of claim 11, wherein the neutral layer of the electronic device is a surface of the flexible cover sheet layer facing an exterior of the electronic device or a surface facing an interior of the electronic device.
