Background
On the jacquard, the pattern card is sleeved on the cylinder, and the cylinder is pressed against the transverse needle once when one weft is woven and one pattern card is turned over. When the pattern plate is provided with holes, the head end of the horizontal needle extends into the holes of the pattern plate and the cylinder, so that the hook end of the straight needle is still hung on the lifting knife.
