Description

Display panel side terminal printing system
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a display panel side terminal printing system, and more particularly, to a pad printing method (PAD printing type) used when forming terminals on a side of a thin display panel, thereby enabling rapid and accurate formation of side terminals.
In particular, the present invention relates to a display panel side termination printingA system for easily forming a shape extending from a side surface to an upper surface (or front surface) and a lower surface (or rear surface) based on the side surface of one side edge of the display panelProfile) of a three-dimensional bar pattern.
Background
A flat panel display device capable of displaying an image can be exemplified by: a liquid crystal Display (LCD, liquid Crystal Display), a light emitting diode (LED, light Emitting Diode) Display, a micro light emitting diode (LED, light Emitting Diode) Display, a plasma Display panel (PDP, plasma Display Panel), a field emission Display (FED, field Emission Display), an organic light emitting diode (OLED, organic Light Emitting Diodes) Display, an electrophoretic Display (EPD, electrophoretic Display) and the like are often formed by bonding two substrates to form a Display panel (Display panel).
In view of recent technical development in the field of display panels, it has been found that studies have been actively conducted not only on low power consumption, thinning, light weight, high definition, and the like, but also on a large-area display.
In general, a display panel may be divided into a display area for displaying an image and a non-display area forming a terminal part at the periphery of the display area so as to be connected to a control module or the like, and the non-display area constitutes one display device by being connected to a frame.
In addition, since a large-area display has a problem in that its yield is lowered due to plastic deformation or the like, a method of manufacturing a large-area substrate by sequentially attaching small substrates has been proposed.
For this purpose, a method of forming a terminal at a side portion of a display panel has been disclosed as follows: korean patent publication No. 10-1711956 "parallel moving type display panel side terminal printing system" and korean patent publication No. 10-1711957 "rotary moving type display panel side terminal printing system", etc.
However, the related art document has a limitation in that various patterns cannot be formed because the terminal is formed only with a side of the display panel, and thus the formed pattern is a terminal having a two-dimensional pattern.

Detailed Description
Examples of the display panel side terminal printing system according to the present invention can be applied in various embodiments, and a most preferred embodiment will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
First, in the following description of the present invention, description will be made by taking as an example a case where the present invention is applied to the rotary motion type in the prior art described above, and therefore, even though it is not mentioned below, it is understood that the technical features of the present invention can be applied to the planar motion type in the prior art.
Based on this, in the present invention, those constructions which are not described in detail can be understood with reference to the prior art.
Fig. 1 is a configuration diagram of one embodiment of a display panel side terminal printing system according to the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1, a display panel side terminal printing system (a) includes: a bar pattern forming apparatus (100) and a terminal pattern printing apparatus (200).
A bar pattern forming device (100) for forming a bar pattern (Strip pattern) corresponding to a terminal pattern to be printed on a side surface including one side edge of the target display panel (10) and on upper and lower surfaces extending from the side surface
To this end, as shown in fig. 1, the bar pattern forming apparatus (100) may include: a Pattern plate (110) and an ink supply portion (120).
And a terminal pattern printing device (200) that reciprocates between the bar pattern forming device and the target display panel (10) and that performs transfer printing of the bar pattern formed on the bar pattern forming device (100) and then prints the bar pattern on three sides of one side edge of the target display panel (10).
In particular, as shown in fig. 1, the terminal pattern printing apparatus (200) of the present invention rotationally reciprocates between the bar-shaped pattern forming apparatus (100) and the target display panel (10), and can move the Silicon pad (210) in the front-rear direction or in the up-down direction with respect to the rotation axis as needed.
That is, the terminal pattern printing device (200) is used to transfer-print a bar pattern formed on the bar pattern forming device (100) onto a silicon pad (210), and then print the transferred pattern onto the side surface of the target display panel (10) by using the silicon pad (210).
For this, as shown in fig. 1, the bar-shaped pattern forming device (100) may be disposed in a lower direction of the terminal pattern printing device (200), and the target display panel (10) may be disposed in a side direction of the terminal pattern printing device (200).
In addition, as shown in fig. 4, the terminal pattern printing apparatus (200) may include: a silicon pad (210) having a transfer line (211) formed on one side thereof; and a driving part (220) for reciprocally moving the silicon pad (210) to print on at least one of three sides of one side edge of the target display panel by transferring at least a portion of the printing bar pattern on the transfer line (211).
As shown in fig. 1, the driving part (220) may include: a rotation module (221) for rotating the silicon pad (210); and a back and forth movement module (222) for moving the silicon pad in a back and forth direction; and an up-and-down movement module (223) for moving the silicon pad (210) up and down (or in the left-and-right direction).
The operation of the driving unit (220) will be described in more detail below.
In addition, as shown in fig. 1, the display panel side terminal printing system (a) of the present invention may further include: and a panel supporting means (300) for supporting the target display panel (10) such that one side edge of the target display panel (10) on which the bar pattern is to be printed is exposed. The panel support device (300) will be described in more detail below.
In addition, in the process of forming terminals by transfer using the silicon pad (210), since incorrect patterns are transfer-printed or ink remains after printing on the display panel, there is a possibility that terminal quality defects of the display panel to be subsequently supplied may be caused.
As shown in fig. 1, the present invention may further include: a pattern cleaning device (400) includes an absorbent tape (410) and a motor (420).
As shown in fig. 1, the pattern cleaning device (400) is provided to remove the pattern transferred and printed on the terminal pattern printing device (200) or the residual ink after printing, and is provided between the bar-shaped pattern forming device (100) and the display panel (10) in an inclined manner, so that it is possible to prevent the defect problem of the pattern occurring in the front-rear direction due to the rotational movement of the silicon pad (210), and to remove the residual ink or foreign matter, etc.
In addition, as shown in fig. 1, the present invention may further include: a board conveying device (500).
The board conveying device (500) is arranged in cooperation with a production line of a display manufacturing process, and is used for conveying a target display board (10) to be supplied onto a display board side terminal printing system (A) according to the invention.
In addition, the present invention may further include a visual sensor (not shown) for confirming and controlling whether the silicon pad (210) moves back and forth in an accurate position.
Fig. 2 and 3 are explanatory views of the pattern support apparatus shown in fig. 1, and fig. 4 is an explanatory view of the function of the guide area shown in fig. 2 and 3.
Referring to fig. 2, the panel supporting device (300) may include: a support plate (310), a support jig (320) and a guide region (330).
The support plate (310) is for placing the target display panel (10) such that one side edge (right lower portion of fig. 2) of the target display panel (10) is exposed, which may be wider than the target display panel (10).
The support jigs (320) may be disposed side by side at one side (right lower portion of fig. 2) of the support plate (310) to support the target display panel (10).
The guide areas (330) are disposed side by side between the support plate (310) and the support jig (320) and extending along both sides of one side edge of the target display panel (10), and needless to say, may be formed to be the same as the width of the target display panel (10).
In addition, in the present invention, in order to form a bar pattern on three sides of one side edge of the display panel (10), the one side edge of the display panel (10) is supported in an exposed state, as shown in fig. 4, if the guide region (330) is not provided and the transfer line (211) of the silicon pad (210) is longer than the one side edge of the target display panel (10), a phenomenon in which both side edges of the transfer line (211) are deformed inward occurs during printing of the transfer-printed bar pattern on the one side edge of the target display panel (10).
As described above, when both sides of the transfer line (211) of the silicon pad (210) are deformed inward, the transfer line (211) portion contacting the "a" portion of the target display panel (10) is also deformed, and as a result, the shape of the bar pattern printed on the "a" portion of the target display panel (10) is deformed.
Therefore, the guide region (330) of the present invention has the same width as the target display panel (10) and is provided in a state of extending along both sides of the target display panel (10), so that it is possible to prevent a problem of deformation of the shape of the bar pattern printed on the "a" portion of the target display panel (10) due to deformation of both sides of the transfer line (211) of the silicon pad (210) when the bar pattern is printed in advance.
Fig. 5 is a partially enlarged cross-sectional view of one embodiment of a bar pattern printed on the target display panel shown in fig. 1, fig. 6 is a view of one embodiment of a bar pattern forming apparatus shown in fig. 1, and fig. 7 to 9 are views illustrating an embodiment of a process of forming fig. 5 using fig. 6.
As described above, the bar pattern (11) at one side edge of the target display panel (10) may be formed in a shape extending by connecting three sides of one side edge of the target display panel.
At this time, when the bar pattern (11) having a three-dimensional shape as shown in fig. 5 is formed at one time, a phenomenon in which the transfer line (211) of the silicon pad (210) is raised may occur at the upper and lower corner portions of one side edge of the target display panel (10).
That is, if the silicon pad (210) is deformed in a shape of wrapping one side edge of the target display panel (10) from the upper and lower portions, the upper and lower portions of the display panel are transitionally deformed, so that a swelling phenomenon in which the silicon pad (210) is separated from the corner portion and the side portion of the target display panel (10) may occur.
Therefore, the present invention can form a high-quality terminal structure by printing the three-dimensional bar pattern (11) sequentially two or more times.
For this, as shown in fig. 7, the bar pattern (11) of the present invention may be divided into: a first pattern (11 a) extending from a side surface thereof to an upper surface among three surfaces of one side edge of the target display panel (10); and a second pattern (11 b) extending from the side surface to the lower surface.
At this time, needless to say, on the side face of one side edge of the display panel (10), portions of the first pattern (11 a) and the second pattern (11 b) may overlap.
In addition, as shown in fig. 6, the pattern plate (110) of the bar-type pattern forming apparatus (100) may be formed of two lines forming the pattern groove (111) to correspond to the first pattern (11 a) and the second pattern (11 b).
The pattern groove (111) may be filled with ink (i) for forming a terminal by an ink supply part (120), and a terminal pattern printing device (200) sequentially performs transfer printing on the terminal formed of two lines so as to sequentially print a first pattern (11 a) and a second pattern (11 b) on one side edge of the display panel (10), thereby printing the bar pattern (11).
At this time, the terminal pattern printing device (200) can adjust the printing thickness of the bar pattern (11) by repeatedly printing the first pattern (11 a) and the second pattern (11 b).
Further, as shown in FIG. 8, the following will be providedThe pattern (11 c, 11 d) of the shape is repeated two or more times, thereby forming a stripe pattern (11) while adjusting the thickness.
In addition, as shown in FIGS. 9 (a) and (b), the upper and lower surfaces are asymmetricThe shaped patterns (11 e,11 f) are formed as stripe patterns (11), or (a) and (b) of fig. 9) As shown, the upper and lower sides are asymmetric +.>The pattern (11 e,11 f) of the shape is repeated, thereby forming a stripe pattern (11).
Further, the bar pattern (11) may be printed while adjusting the thickness by printing a specific pattern of various shapes two or more times according to the requirements of those skilled in the art.
Fig. 10 to 13 are diagrams for explaining the bar pattern printing process of fig. 7 using fig. 1.
First, a driving unit (220) of the terminal pattern printing device (200) transfers a bar pattern formed on a pattern plate (110) of the bar pattern forming device (100) onto a transfer line (211) by moving a silicon pad (210) forward by a forward/backward movement module (222) in a state in which the silicon pad (210) is directed downward.
At this time, the driving unit (220) controls the up-and-down movement module (223) to move the silicon pad (210) to one side (left side in fig. 10), so that the pattern on one of the two lines as shown in fig. 6 can be transferred and printed.
Thereafter, the driving part (220) moves the silicon pad (210) backward by the forward and backward movement module (222), thereby rotating the silicon pad (210) toward the target display panel (10), and prints the transfer-printed bar pattern (11) on the side of the target display panel (10) by moving the silicon pad (210) forward.
At this time, the driving unit (220) controls the up-and-down movement module (223) to move the silicon pad (210) to one side (lower part of fig. 10), so that the first pattern (11 a) or the second pattern (11 b) of the bar patterns (11) can be printed.
As described above, when printing of the pattern is finished, the driving part (220) rotates the silicon pad (210) to face the cleaning device (400), and then contacts the transfer line (211) to the adsorption tape (410) by the back and forth movement module (222), so that the ink remaining on the transfer line (211) of the silicon pad (210) can be removed.
In fig. 12, a symbol "420" which is not illustrated is a motor for moving the suction tape (410) wound on the supply roller to the recovery roller and winding it.
After cleaning the transfer line (211) of the silicon pad (210), the driving unit (220) moves the silicon pad (210) toward one side of the pattern plate (110), and then performs transfer printing on the pattern on the other lines remaining on the pattern plate (110), thereby printing the remaining pattern in the bar pattern (11).
From the end result, the driving part (220) sequentially transfers the first pattern (11 a) and the second pattern (11 b) formed on the pattern plate (110) by controlling the up-and-down movement module (223), and sequentially prints the first pattern (11 a) and the second pattern (11 b) on one side edge of the target display plate (10).
Accordingly, the present invention can form a high quality three-dimensional terminal at one side edge of the target display panel (10), and can form various shapes of three-dimensional terminals according to the requirements of those skilled in the art.
The display panel side terminal printing system according to the present invention is described above. The technical constitution of the present invention described above is understood to be implemented in other specific forms by those skilled in the art without changing the technical idea or essential features of the present invention.
Thus, the above-described embodiments are merely exemplary in all respects, and it is therefore to be understood that such embodiments are not intended to be limiting.
Industrial applicability
The present invention is applicable not only to the field of display panels, the field of display panel manufacturing, and the field of devices and systems for manufacturing display panels, but also to similar or related fields, and can improve reliability and competitiveness in these fields.
