Abstract
The invention discloses a preparation method of a brush head with a retainer, which is characterized in that a plurality of bristle tufts are inserted into corresponding retaining rings on the retainer; applying heat to the proximal ends of a plurality of the bristle tufts at a temperature and distance sufficient to at least partially melt the proximal ends of the bristle tufts to effect heat staking to produce a proximal head; placing the retainer of the near-end head part generated by hot melting into an inner cavity of a jig; placing the jig placed in the retainer into an inner cavity of a mold; forming a brush handle by injection molding through a cavity channel for the injection molding brush handle; adjusting the position of the mold to enable the pore channel capable of injecting the soft rubber to be combined with the jig, so as to realize injection molding of the soft rubber to form a soft rubber main body; and taking the prepared brush head out of the mold and the jig. The invention aims to provide a method for preparing a brush head, which has the advantages of simple process, firm bristles of the brush head and good use experience.
Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the field of toothbrush production and manufacturing, and particularly relates to a preparation method of a brush head with a holder.
Background
From the first metal bristle technology to the increasing adoption of metal-free bristle technology by businesses today, as the manufacturing process of the brush head develops, the brush heads of both manual and electric toothbrushes include bristles for cleaning teeth, tongue and cheek. In some toothbrushes, the bristles are organized into tufts of bristles contained within retaining rings. The retaining ring is used to secure the bristle tufts within the head and typically has a hollow circular shape with an inner and outer circumference. During manufacture, the bristle tufts are inserted into the hollow interior of the retaining ring, and then heat is used to fuse the bristles together to form a head that cannot be pulled through the retaining ring. However, the retaining ring is typically not securely fixed within the head. Thus, the rings and bristle tufts may loosen or become loose within the brush head, and the bristles may not always be positioned at an optimal angle for brushing. As such, for example, under dynamic conditions of motion caused by operation of the power toothbrush, the bristle tuft structure may be subjected to higher stresses under dynamic motion, which may result in separation. In addition, the process of organizing the bristles into tufts within a retaining ring, and then cooling or allowing the brush head material to cool in order to secure the tufts in place can be time consuming and expensive.
In response to the above-mentioned deficiencies, some prior art techniques provide for the formation of a plurality of retaining rings and a plurality of bristle tufts, and then inserting the plurality of bristle tufts into the plurality of retaining rings; then melting the bristle tuft proximal end to produce a proximal head portion; creating a first space between each of the proximal head portions and the respective retaining ring; positioning a brush neck relative to the proximal head portion, wherein the positioning of the brush neck defines a second space relative to the proximal head portion; finally, a thermoplastic elastomer is injected, an elastomer matrix surrounding the brush neck, the plurality of retaining rings, the proximal head portion, wherein the elastomer matrix fills the first and second spaces.
Although the method described above solves the drawbacks mentioned in the first paragraph, the production process is complicated, because in the prior art, the brush head portion and the brush neck must be separately manufactured, a machine specially used for manufacturing the brush neck and a machine specially used for manufacturing the brush head portion are required, in the prior art, the brush neck must be manufactured on one machine before the brush head portion is manufactured, and then the brush head portion can be manufactured on the other machine, because before the manufacture of the brush head portion is started, the manufactured brush neck needs to be put into a mold for manufacturing the brush head portion in advance, so that the manufacture of the brush head portion and the formed brush head portion can be performed, and the process is complicated.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above-mentioned shortcomings of the prior art, the present invention aims to provide a method for manufacturing a brush head, which has the advantages of simple process, reliable bristle fixation and good use experience of the brush head.
The patent scheme provides a preparation method of a brush head with a retainer, which comprises the following steps:
s2: inserting a plurality of bristle tufts into each corresponding retaining ring on the cage, creating proximal ends of the bristle tufts that are proximal to the retaining ring and free ends that are distal from the retaining ring;
s3: applying heat to the proximal ends of a plurality of the bristle tufts at a temperature and distance sufficient to at least partially melt the proximal ends of the bristle tufts to effect heat staking to produce a proximal head;
s4: placing the retainer with the near-end head produced by hot melting into an inner cavity of a jig, wherein the near-end head is higher than the jig;
s5: placing the jig placed into the retainer into an inner cavity of a mold, so that the free end of the bristle tuft is positioned in the mold, and the whole jig is ensured to be stably fixed on the mold;
s6: the brush handle is formed by injection molding of a cavity channel for the injection molded brush handle, the brush handle is provided with an insertion part, and the insertion part is molded above the retainer or coats the retainer;
s7: adjusting the position of the mold to enable a pore channel capable of injecting soft rubber to be combined with the jig, so as to realize injection molding of the soft rubber to form a soft rubber main body, wherein the soft rubber main body respectively coats the insertion part of the brush handle, the retainer and the near-end head part, thereby completing preparation of the brush head;
s8: and taking the prepared brush head out of the mold and the jig.

s1: preparing the retainer, wherein a plurality of retaining rings are arranged on the retainer.

The improvement of this patent brings the following advantage:
(1) in the prior art, the head and handle of the brush have to be manufactured separately, using a machine dedicated to the manufacture of the handle and a machine dedicated to the manufacture of the head of the brush. In the prior art, the brush handle is manufactured on one machine in the process of manufacturing the brush head, and then the brush head can be manufactured on another machine. The manufacture of the head of the brush head on the brush handle can be carried out before the manufacture of the head of the brush head is started, because the manufactured brush handle is required to be put into a mold for manufacturing the head of the brush head in advance. The process is complicated, and the used mechanical equipment and dies are more. The brush head and the brush handle are integrated on a machine to be manufactured, so that the brush neck and the brush head are quickly and integrally formed. (2) In the prior art, when the brush handle is injection-molded, overlarge injection-molding pressure acts on the near-end head of the bristle cluster, so that the bristles deform and bend, and the product quality is seriously influenced. And this application supports fixedly to the bristle tuft on the whole through using holder and tool, when having overcome the brush holder of moulding plastics, the too big problem that leads to the brush hair to warp of pressure of moulding plastics improves the yields, practices thrift the cost.
(3) Compared with a plurality of scattered retaining rings used in the prior art, the integrated retaining ring used in the brush head can be quickly inserted into bristle tufts when the brush head is prepared, so that the manufacturing process is simplified, and the efficiency is improved; on the other hand, the integrated retainer can fix the bristle tufts more effectively.

Detailed Description
The embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to specific embodiments, and other advantages and effects of the present invention will be easily understood by those skilled in the art from the disclosure of the present specification. The invention is capable of other and different embodiments and of being practiced or of being carried out in various ways, and its several details are capable of modification in various respects, all without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
As shown in FIGS. 1-6, as one embodiment, a method for preparing a brush head with a holder includes steps S100-S800. The brush head or brush head assembly manufactured by the application comprises a brush handle 1 and a brush head part 2, and can be installed and used on a manual toothbrush or an electric toothbrush.
S100: a retainer 27 is prepared, and a plurality of retainer rings are provided on the retainer 27. The retainer 27 is formed by injection molding, and the retainer 27 has a flat grid shape, and each hole of the grid shape is a retainer ring. Or other structures that can be embedded within the soft gel body 26 to hold the bristle tufts 22 in place. The retainer can be used for better fixing the bristle tufts and improving the stress structure of the bristle tufts, so that a user can obtain better use experience.
S200: as shown in fig. 3, a plurality of bristle tufts 22 are inserted into each corresponding retaining ring on the retainer 27, creating proximal ends 23 and free ends 24 of the bristle tufts 22, the proximal ends 23 being proximal to the retaining ring and the free ends 24 being distal from the retaining ring. The bristle tufts 22 are formed by a plurality of bristle filaments bunched together. The bristle tufts 22 can be of various sizes and shapes with the proximal end 23 embedded within the interior of the head to firmly secure the bristle tufts 22. The free end 24 extends outwards for cleaning, and the free end 24 can be flush, inclined to one side or convex in the middle.
S300: heat is applied to the proximal ends 23 of the plurality of bristle tufts 22 at a temperature and distance sufficient to at least partially melt the proximal ends 23 of the bristle tufts to effect heat staking to produce the proximal head 25, as shown in fig. 4. The heat staking may be by direct contact with the proximal ends 23 of the bristle tufts 22 using a heat source or the heat source may be by indirect heating of the air to melt the proximal ends 23. The larger diameter of the proximal head portion 25 relative to the retaining ring, which is formed by the melting of the bristle tuft proximal end 23, allows the bristle tufts 22 to be more securely retained on the brush head by the retention of the retainer 27. As a more preferable scheme, any two adjacent proximal heads 25 are tightly attached or fused together, and no first space is generated; all the near-end heads 25 are tightly connected or fused into a whole, so that the coating area of the soft rubber main body is increased, the bristle tufts are more firmly fixed, and the stress condition of the bristle tufts is improved. Each proximal head 25 fits snugly with the corresponding retaining ring, creating no secondary space. All proximal heads 25 adjacent the sidewalls of the holder 27 are flush with the sidewalls of the holder 27. If the height above the proximal head portion 25 is kept at the same level as the height of the side wall of the retainer 27, the maximum heat-melting contact area between the proximal head portion 25 of the bristle tuft and the side wall of the retainer 27 is ensured, and the proximal head portion 25 of the bristle tuft 22 and the retainer 27 can be connected more firmly. Meanwhile, in the process of molding the brush head 2, the insertion portion 11 of the brush handle 1 is equivalent to a cover and needs to be covered on the proximal head 25, and if the proximal head 25 is not flush, the insertion portion 11 and the proximal head 25 cannot be completely covered and matched.
S400: as shown in fig. 5, the holder 27 for melting the proximal head 25 is placed in the inner cavity of the fixture 4, and the proximal head 25 is higher than the fixture 4. The fixture 4 is made of a relatively rigid material, and after the holder 27 is placed in the cavity of the fixture 4, the fixture 4 may further support and fix the proximal heads 25 of the bristle tufts 22 integrally on the holder 27. In particular the bristle tufts 22, are injection molded with the handle 1, the proximal head 25 of which provides a supporting fixation when subjected to a large injection molding pressure, without causing a forced deformation of the bristle tufts 22. Alternatively, one end of the jig 4 is recessed into the jig 4 to form a recessed structure, and has a cavity for receiving the bristle tufts 22; the recessed structure is used for accommodating the retainer 27, and positioning of the retainer 27 is achieved. Specifically, the bristle tufts 22 are inserted into the jig 4 facing the jig 4, and the side walls of the holders 27 are higher than the jig 4, i.e., the connecting portions of the bristle tufts 22 and the holders 27 are flush with the height of the jig 4, so that the bristle tufts 22 are just inserted into the jig 4. The head 25 of the near end is higher than the jig 4 so as to be better embedded into the soft rubber main body 26, so that the soft rubber can be better and comprehensively coated, and the fixing effect is enhanced.
S500: the jig 4 inserted into the holder 27 is placed into the cavity of the mold so that the free ends 24 of the bristle tufts 22 are positioned in the mold, ensuring that the entire jig 4 is stably fixed to the mold. A gap is arranged between the inner side wall of the cavity of the mold and the outer side wall of the retainer 27, the gap is used for communicating the cavity channel of the injection molded brush holder 1 and is used for forming the brush holder 1 during injection molding of hard glue, and the insertion part 11 of the brush holder 1 can be coated on the outer side wall of the retainer 27 or formed above the retainer 27. The mould is mainly used for injection moulding of the brush handle 1 and is provided with an inner cavity capable of accommodating the jig 4. When the tool 4 is placed in the mold, the free ends 24 of the bristle tufts 22 are placed with the tool 4 into the interior cavity of the mold. In the horizontal direction, a gap is formed between the proximal head 25 and the inner cavity side wall of the mold, so that when soft rubber is injected, the soft rubber can completely cover the proximal head 25, the fixing effect of the bristle tufts 22 is enhanced, and better use hand feeling is obtained.
S600: the brush holder 1 is formed by injection molding through a cavity for injection molding the brush holder 1, the brush holder 1 has an insertion portion 11, and the insertion portion 11 is molded above the holder 27 or covers the holder 27. The cavity channel for injection molding of the brush handle 1 can be arranged on a mold or a jig 4; when the injection mold is arranged on the jig 4, the mold is also provided with a corresponding runner for the injection molding brush holder 1. The handle 1 is formed by injecting a hard glue into a mould through a cavity for injection moulding the handle 1 using an injection moulding machine. The inserting part 11 of the brush holder 1 is formed by extending at least one part of one end surface of the brush holder 1 and is inserted into the soft rubber main body 26 of the brush head part 2, so that the stress structure at one end of the brush head part 2 is improved, and the use experience is improved. A certain gap is formed between the insertion part 11 and the proximal head 25 for injecting soft glue, and of course, the insertion part 11 may also directly cover or wrap the proximal head 25 to obtain better hand feeling.
S700: the position of the mold is adjusted, so that the hole channel capable of injecting the soft gum is combined with the jig 4, the injection molding of the soft gum is realized to form a soft gum main body 26, as shown in fig. 6, the soft gum main body 26 respectively coats the insertion part 11 of the brush handle 1, the retainer 27 and the proximal end head 25, and the preparation of the brush head is completed. Specifically, the upper half of the mold is taken out and the mold is horizontally rotated by 180 degrees, so that the hole channel of the injection molding soft rubber on the injection molding machine is combined with the jig 4 (namely, the two-color mold manufacturing process), and then the elastic silica gel is injected to form the soft rubber main body 26 which coats the insertion part 11, the holder 27 and the near-end head 25.
S800: and taking the prepared brush head out of the mold and the jig 4. After natural cooling, desorption tool 4 and mould can obtain the brush head of this application.

1. A preparation method of a brush head with a retainer is characterized by comprising the following steps:
s2: inserting a plurality of bristle tufts into each corresponding retaining ring on the cage, creating proximal ends of the bristle tufts that are proximal to the retaining ring and free ends that are distal from the retaining ring;
s3: applying heat to the proximal ends of a plurality of the bristle tufts at a temperature and distance sufficient to at least partially melt the proximal ends of the bristle tufts to effect heat staking to produce a proximal head;
s4: placing the retainer with the near-end head produced by hot melting into an inner cavity of a jig, wherein the near-end head is higher than the jig;
s5: placing the jig placed into the retainer into an inner cavity of a mold, so that the free end of the bristle tuft is positioned in the mold, and the whole jig is ensured to be stably fixed on the mold;
s6: the brush handle is formed by injection molding of a cavity channel for the injection molded brush handle, the brush handle is provided with an insertion part, and the insertion part is molded above the retainer or coats the retainer;
s7: adjusting the position of the mold to enable a pore channel capable of injecting soft rubber to be combined with the jig, so as to realize injection molding of the soft rubber to form a soft rubber main body, wherein the soft rubber main body respectively coats the insertion part of the brush handle, the retainer and the near-end head part, thereby completing preparation of the brush head;
s8: and taking the prepared brush head out of the mold and the jig.
2. The method for preparing a brush head with a holder according to claim 1, further comprising:
s1: preparing the retainer, wherein a plurality of retaining rings are arranged on the retainer.
3. The method for preparing a brush head with a holder according to claim 1, wherein in step S3: the close fit is formed between any two adjacent proximal heads and between each proximal head and the retaining ring.
4. The method for preparing a brush head with a holder according to claim 3, wherein in step S3: the proximal head portion adjacent the cage sidewall is flush with the cage sidewall.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the plurality of proximal heads are flush with the side walls of the holder or the proximal heads form a concave surface with a smaller curvature in the holder.
6. The method for preparing a brush head with a holder according to claim 1, wherein in step S4: the free ends of the bristle tufts are placed in the inner cavity of the jig, and the side wall of the retainer is higher than the jig.
7. The method for preparing a brush head with a holder according to claim 1, wherein in step S5: a gap is arranged between the inner side wall of the cavity of the mold and the outer side wall of the retainer, and the gap is communicated with the cavity channel for the injection molded brush handle.
8. The method for preparing a brush head with a holder according to claim 1, wherein in step S6: the cavity for the injection-molded brush handle is arranged on the mold or the jig.
