Description

Paging message sending method, paging message receiving method and equipment
Technical Field
The embodiment of the invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to a paging message sending method, a paging message receiving method and equipment.
Background
In long term evolution (Long Term Evolution, LTE)/New Radio (NR), when there is downlink data arrival or system message update, paging is initiated to a terminal (e.g., user Equipment (UE)) in idle or inactive state. The mobility management entity (Mobility Management Entity, MME)/access and mobility management function (Access and Mobility Management Function, AMF) sends a paging message to a network side device (e.g., a base station (eNB/gNB)) contained in the Tracking Area (TA) or the access network notification Area (Ran Notification Area, RNA) according to the Tracking Area (TA) registered by the terminal, and the base station continues to broadcast the paging message, so as to inform the UE to initiate radio resource control (Radio Resource Control, RRC) connection establishment or receive a new paging message.
In view of power saving, the UE paging reception follows the principle of discontinuous reception (Discontinuous Reception, DRX), each cell broadcasts a cell default DRX paging cycle (cell specific DRX cycle) in system information to all UEs in the cell, and each UE may also set UE-specific DRX (UE specific DRX cycle) according to its own power and paging system, and send UE-specific DRX to MME/AMF through Non-Access-Stratum (NAS) message Attach Request or tracking area update (Tracking Area Update, TAU) Request. The MME/AMF delivers specific DRX information of the paged UE to the base station. The UE wakes up to receive the paging message according to the DRX cycle agreed with the base station (i.e., the smaller values of cell specific DRX cycle and UE specific DRX cycle).
For a common UE, a default DRX cycle (default DRX cycle) of a unified cell specific (cell specific) is broadcasted by a current cell, and is not distinguished for UEs with different power saving requirements, for example, UEs with higher power saving requirements, due to a shorter cell-level DRX cycle, the last actually used DRX is also shorter, and it is required to wake up frequently to detect a physical downlink control channel (Physical Downlink Control Channel, PDCCH). On the other hand, the grouping of paging messages is performed according to terminal identification (UE-ID), and is irrelevant to the power saving requirement of the UE, so that UEs with different power saving requirements may be awakened at the same time.

alternatively, the discontinuous reception period of the terminal may be a terminal-specific discontinuous reception period (UE specific DRX cycle), or a larger value of UE specific DRX cycle and a default discontinuous reception period (default DRX cycle).
Step 203: and sending the paging message according to the discontinuous receiving period of the terminal.
That is, the UE and the network side device may select the corresponding default DRX cycle to perform subsequent flows according to the power saving level of the UE, or the UE and the network side device may use the larger values of UE specific DRX cycle or UE specific DRX cycle and default DRX cycle to perform subsequent flows such as sending paging messages.
Optionally, the power saving information indicates one or more of the following combinations: (1) a power saving level of the terminal; (2) whether the terminal is in a power saving state.
Mode 1: the power saving information indicates a power saving level of the terminal;
for example, when the network side device is a base station, the base station may obtain the current power saving level of the terminal through an MME or an AMF, for example, the base station may obtain the current power saving level of the terminal through a paging (paging) message (such as an S1AP paging message).
For another example, the network side device is MME or AMF, and the UE reports its current power saving level to the MME or AMF through an Attach Request (Attach Request) or a tracking area update Request (TAU Request) during the Attach (Attach) or tracking area update (Tracking Area Update, TAU).
Mode 2: the power saving information indicates whether the terminal is in a power saving state;
for example, when the network side device is a base station, the base station may acquire that the terminal is in a power saving state through an MME or an AMF, for example, the base station may acquire that the terminal is in a power saving state through a paging (paging) message (such as an S1AP paging message).
For another example, the network side device is MME or AMF, and the UE notifies the MME or AMF that the terminal is in a power saving state through an Attach Request (Attach Request) or a tracking area update Request (TAU Request) during an Attach (Attach) or tracking area update (Tracking Area Update, TAU).
In some embodiments, the power saving information indicates a power saving level of the terminal; the step of obtaining the discontinuous reception period of the terminal according to the first information includes: a default discontinuous reception cycle (default DRX cycle) corresponding to the power saving level of the terminal is selected as the discontinuous reception cycle of the terminal.
In some embodiments, the method may further comprise: transmitting second information, the second information comprising:
and the default discontinuous reception period of the plurality of cell levels is valued, wherein the value of each default discontinuous reception period corresponds to at least one power saving level.
For example, the network side device may broadcast a plurality of specific values, such as 32 radio frames (rf 32), 64 radio frames (rf 64), rf32 corresponding to power saving level 1, and rf64 corresponding to power saving level 2. That is, the network-side device may broadcast multiple sets default DRX cycle.

It is to be appreciated that the third information described above may be a cell level DRX broadcasted by the prior art, or may also be a newly broadcasted cell level DRX.
Illustratively, the default discontinuous reception period of the base cell level may be rf64, which is not limited in detail.
For example, the network side device broadcasts a basic value, such as rf64, and then broadcasts a set of coefficients {1/2,1,2,4}, which indicates that default DRX cycle used by UEs with different power saving levels are rf32, rf64, rf128 (128 radio frames), and rf256 (256 radio frames), respectively.
In some embodiments, the power saving information indicates whether the terminal is in a power saving state;
