第一面板可以包括外层和内层,在其之间限定次容器。在一些实施例中,内层的外周边缘可固定到外层的内表面和/或外层的外周边缘。内层可以直接固定到外层。或者,内层可以固定到衬料的内边缘,衬料的外边缘依次固定到外层,并且衬料将内层和外层彼此间隔开。内层和外层之间的次容器可以接收或承载次缓冲元件。在一些实施例中,次缓冲元件可以固定到第一面板的外层和内层中的一个或两个。次缓冲元件可以以防止接近次缓冲元件的方式永久地固定在次容器内。
在第二面板包括次缓冲元件的实施例中,第二面板的次缓冲元件还可以包括任何合适类型的缓冲元件,包括但不限于可压缩的、回弹的弹性体材料在其中限定多个的薄互连壁的缓冲元件,并且该互连壁依次限定单元格或列的阵列。在这样的实施例中,第二面板还可以包括外层和内层,以及限定在外层和内层之间的次容器。在这样的实施例中,内层的外周边缘可以固定到外层的内表面和/或固定到外层的外周边缘。内层可以直接固定到外层。或者,内层可以固定到衬料的内边缘,衬料的外边缘依次固定到外层,衬料将内层和外层彼此间隔开。内层和外层之间的次容器可以容纳或承载第二面板的次缓冲元件。第二面板的次缓冲元件可以固定到第二面板的外层和内层中的一个或两个。次缓冲元件可以以防止接近次缓冲元件的方式永久地固定在次容器内。
罩的第一面板和第二面板的外周边缘可以以在第一面板和第二面板之间限定主容器的方式彼此固定。在一些实施例中,彼此不可分离地固定的第一面板和第二面板的外周边缘的部分可以直接地彼此固定。在其他实施例中,彼此不可分离地固定的第一面板和第二面板的外周边缘的部分可以间接地彼此固定。例如,罩的第一面板(例如,顶部面板等)的外周边缘可以固定到衬料的第一边缘(例如,顶部边缘等),并且罩的第二面板(例如,底部面板等)的外周边缘可以固定到衬料的第二边缘(例如,底部边缘等),其中衬料限定罩的外周,并因此在本文中称为“外周衬料”。在第一面板包括外层和内层并且第二面板包括外层和内层的实施例中,第一面板和第二面板的内层可以至少部分地限定主容器。在罩进一步包括外周衬料的实施例中,外周衬料也可以限定部分主容器。
罩还可以包括主开口,其提供通向主容器的通道。主开口可以由罩的可彼此分离的边缘限定。例如,边缘限定主开口的部分可以彼此分开以打开主开口,并提供通向罩的主容器的通道。作为另一示例,边缘限定主开口的部分之间的拉链可以被选择性地拉开,以打开通向主容器的主开口。在又一示例中,将边缘限定主开口的部分彼此固定的纽扣或其他紧固件可以解扣或解开,以打开主开口并提供通向主容器的通道。
由于罩的主开口打开,主容器可以容纳主缓冲元件。更具体地,罩的主开口可以有助于将主缓冲元件(例如枕头填充物、枕头插入物、枕头等)引入主容器中(或从中移除)。主容器可以以每个次缓冲元件至少部分地或甚至完全地覆盖主缓冲元件的相应表面的方式容纳主缓冲元件。
在另一方面,公开了一种垫子(例如,枕头),其包括根据本公开的罩以及位于罩的内部内的缓冲元件。
还公开了用于增强缓冲元件的缓冲的方法。主缓冲元件(例如,用于枕头的填充物、枕头插入物、现有枕头等)可以被引入罩的主容器中,该罩在其一个或两个面板(即,主表面)中包括次缓冲元件。在将主缓冲元件引入主容器中时,罩的每个次缓冲元件可以至少部分地与枕头或填充物重叠。随后可以使用所得的垫子来支撑身体部位(例如,个人的头部、背部、腿部等)。次缓冲元件在主缓冲元件的至少一部分上的重叠可以改变或增强主缓冲元件缓冲身体部位的方式。

参考图1、1A和1B,示出了根据本公开的垫子10的实施例。垫子10可以包括枕头或其他类型的垫子。垫子10包括罩20,该罩20具有第一面板40、第二面板60以及在第一面板40和第二面板60之间的主容器80。第一面板40和第二面板60可以包括罩20的相对侧(例如,顶部和底部等)。主容器80(在本文中也可以被称为“口袋”)配置为容纳主缓冲元件100。
第一面板40可以承载或包括次缓冲元件50。第二面板60也可以承载或包括次缓冲元件70。每个次缓冲元件50、70可以包括任何合适的缓冲材料。次缓冲元件50和70可以相对较薄。在各种实施例中,次缓冲元件50和70可具有最大厚度和最小厚度,其中最大厚度可以趋向次缓冲元件50、70的中心56、76(图3),且最小厚度可以趋向次缓冲元件50、70的外周边58、78。

继续参考图1、1A和1B,当罩20的主开口90闭合(例如,拉上拉链、紧固、折叠等)时,主容器80可能是无法接近的或甚至是隐藏的。主容器80可以使第一面板40的次缓冲元件50和第二面板60的次缓冲元件70分别能够至少部分地覆盖主缓冲元件100的相应表面。在一些实施例中,次缓冲元件50和70可以在主缓冲元件100的整个长度和宽度上延伸,分别在主缓冲元件100的每个表面105和107上提供附加的缓冲层。

现在转向图2,更详细地示出了罩20的特定实施例的第一面板40和第二面板60。第一面板40可以包括外层42和内层46。外层42和内层46可以分别包括围绕它们的外周边44和48彼此固定的薄层。如图2所示,外层42和内层46的外周边44和48分别可以彼此直接固定(例如,用缝合线、粘合等)。或者,外层42和内层46的外周边44和48分别可以固定到衬料(图2中未示出)的相应边缘,该衬料间接地将外层42和内层46彼此固定。

如图3所示,每个次缓冲元件50、70可包括较大轮廓中心56、76和较小轮廓外周边58、78。缓冲元件50、70可以在中心56、76处和其周围具有更长或更高的单元格或列54、74,并且在外周边58、78处和与其相邻处具有更短的单元格或列54、74。在一些实施例中,次缓冲元件50、70的外表面51、71可以从其中心56、76或中心部分57、77向下到其外周边58、78逐渐变小。这种逐渐变小可以是线性的或弯曲的。换句话说,单元格或列54、74的长度或高度可以形成从中心56、76向外周边58、78减小或从外周边58、78向中心56、76增加的梯度。美国外观设计专利申请号29/694,846和29/694,851示出了这种垫子的实施例,其全部公开内容在此并入。这种配置可以使次缓冲元件50、70的中心56、76或中心部分57、77能够比次缓冲元件50、70的外边缘位置和外周边58、78提供的更大的支撑和缓冲。作为非限制性示例,每个次缓冲元件50、70在其中心56、76的厚度可以是大约二分之一英寸(大约11/4厘米)到大约两英寸(大约5厘米),而每个次缓冲元件50、70在其外周边58、78处的厚度可为约十六分之一英寸(约1.5875毫米)至约一英寸(约2.54厘米)。在更具体的实施例中,每个次缓冲元件50、70在其中心56、76处的厚度可以是大约一英寸(大约2.54厘米),而每个次缓冲元件50、70在其外周边58、78处的厚度可以是大约八分之一英寸(大约3.175毫米),这种次缓冲元件50、70可以在从外周边58、78的任何位置朝向中心56、76的大约53/4英寸(大约14.6厘米)的距离上向外逐渐变小;因此,具有基本上统一厚度的次缓冲元件50、70的中心部分57、77的长度可以大于宽度,这意味着最大厚度区域可以具有与次缓冲元件50、70基本相同的形状。即使使用尺寸为约20英寸×26英寸(约51厘米×约66厘米)的标准大小的枕头,具有基本上统一厚度的中心部分57、77也包括次缓冲元件50、70的大部分区域。
返回参考图2,每个次缓冲元件50、70可以固定到其对应面板(即,分别为第一面板40或第二面板60)的对应内层46、66。次缓冲元件50和70可以通过在模具的两侧之间放置织物或稀松布的重叠层然后将每个次级缓冲元件50、70模制到相应的稀松布上而同时制造。一旦次缓冲元件50和70被模制,每个稀松布可以继续粘附到其各自的次缓冲元件50、70,同时相应的内层46、66中的每一个不再彼此粘连并因此可以作为罩20的面板(即,分别为第一面板40和第二面板60)的内层46、66。或者,次缓冲元件50、70可以通过任何其他合适的技术(例如,加热和熔化弹性体材料、超声波焊接、胶合、缝合等)固定到其各自的外层42、62和外层46、66中的一个或两个。更进一步,第一缓冲元件14可以通过类似方式固定到顶部面板18。应当理解,可以使用开放式针织或机织织物作为稀松布或织物的其他部分以允许透气性和空气流动。
在一些实施例(例如图2所示的实施例)中,次缓冲元件50的多个互连壁52和单元格或列54的阵列可以从次缓冲元件70的多个互连壁72和单元格或列74的阵列横向地偏移。在美国外观设计专利申请29/694,846和29/694,851中示出了这种次缓冲元件的实施例。
图4描绘了罩20′的实施例,其可包括多个或所有与图2所示的罩20的实施例相同的特征和元件。罩20′和罩20之间的主要区别在于,罩20′的第一面板40′的次缓冲元件50′的多个互连壁52′和单元格或列54′的阵列基本上分别与罩20′的第二面板60′的次缓冲元件70′的多个互连壁72′和单元格或列74′的阵列对齐。

Claims (25)

1.一种用于垫子的罩,所述罩包括:
第一面板,其包括:
外层;
内层;以及
在外层和内层之间的次缓冲元件;
第二面板,其与第一面板叠置,第二面板包括外层和内层,第二面板的外周边缘固定到对应的第一面板的外周边缘;
主容器,其容纳主缓冲元件,主缓冲元件限定在第一面板和第二面板之间。
2.根据权利要求1所述的罩,其中,次缓冲元件包括可压缩的、回弹的弹性体材料,所述弹性体材料限定多个互连壁,所述互连壁限定单元格阵列。
3.根据权利要求2所述的罩,其中,次缓冲元件的中心区域比次缓冲元件的外周边缘厚。
4.根据权利要求1或2所述的罩,其中,次缓冲元件包括:
第一半部,其限定次缓冲元件的第一主要表面并且包括第一多个互连壁,所述第一多个互连壁限定第一单元格阵列;以及
第二半部,其限定次缓冲元件的第二主要表面并且包括第二多个互连壁,所述第二多个互连壁限定第二单元格阵列。
5.根据权利要求4所述的罩,其中,第二多个互连壁和第二单元格阵列从第一多个互连壁和第一单元格阵列横向偏移。
6.根据权利要求4所述的罩,其中,第二多个互连壁和第二单元格阵列与第一多个互连壁和第一单元格阵列对齐。
7.根据权利要求4-6中任一项所述的罩,其中,次缓冲元件进一步包括:
位于第一半部和第二半部之间的稀松布。
8.根据权利要求1-7中任一项所述的罩,其中,第二面板包括:
内层;
外层;以及
在内层和外层之间的另一个次缓冲元件。
9.根据权利要求1-8中任一项所述的罩,所述罩进一步包括:
主开口,其提供通向主容器的通道,主开口能够将主缓冲元件引入主容器中。
10.根据权利要求9所述的罩,其中,第一面板、第二面板、主缓冲元件和次缓冲元件的形状基本为矩形。
11.根据权利要求10所述的罩,其中,第一面板的三个外周边缘的至少部分固定到对应的第二面板的三个外周边缘的至少部分。
12.根据权利要求1-11中任一项所述的罩,其中,第一面板的外周边缘缝合到对应的第二面板的外周边缘。
13.一种垫子,其包括:
罩,其包括:
第一面板,其包括:
外表面;
内表面;以及;
在外表面和内表面之间的次缓冲元件;第二面板,其与第一面板叠置,第一面板的外周边缘固定到对应的第二面板的外周边缘;
主容器,其限定在第一面板和第二面板之间;以及
主缓冲元件,其能够定位在主容器内。
14.根据权利要求13所述的垫子,所述垫子包括枕头。
15.根据权利要求14所述的垫子,其中,主缓冲元件包括标准的枕头,所述标准的枕头能够从主容器中取出或在主容器内替换。
16.根据权利要求13-15中任一项所述的垫子,其中,次缓冲元件包括可压缩的、回弹的弹性体材料,所述弹性体材料限定多个互连壁,所述互连壁限定单元格阵列。
17.根据权利要求16所述的垫子,其中,多个互连壁中的至少一些壁包括限定屈曲单元格的屈曲壁。
18.根据权利要求16或17所述的垫子,其中,次缓冲元件包括:
第一半部,其限定次缓冲元件的第一主要表面并且包括第一多个互连壁,所述第一多个互连壁限定第一单元格阵列;以及
第二半部,其限定次缓冲元件的第二主要表面并且包括第二多个互连壁,所述第二多个互连壁限定第二单元格阵列。
19.根据权利要求18所述的垫子,其中,第二多个互连壁和第二单元格阵列从第一多个互连壁和第一单元格阵列横向偏移。
20.根据权利要求18所述的垫子,其中,第二多个互连壁和第二单元格阵列与第一多个互连壁和第一单元格阵列对齐。
21.根据权利要求18-20中任一项所述的垫子,其中,次缓冲元件进一步包括:
位于第一半部和第二半部之间的稀松布。
22.根据权利要求13-21中任一项所述的垫子,其中,罩的第二面板包括:
外表面;
内表面;以及;
在外表面和内表面之间的次缓冲元件。
23.一种用于组装垫子的方法,其包括:
将主缓冲元件引入根据权利要求1-12中任一项所述的罩的主容器内,所述主容器限定在罩的第一面板和罩的第二面板之间,包括将第一面板的次缓冲元件叠置在主缓冲元件的第一表面上。
24.根据权利要求23或24所述的方法,其中,所述引入进一步包括将第二面板的另一个次缓冲元件叠置在主缓冲元件的第二表面上。
25.根据权利要求23所述的方法,所述方法进一步包括:
从主容器中移除主缓冲元件;并且
将另一个主缓冲元件引入主容器中。
