Description

Rear spoiler assembly for a motor vehicle
Technical Field
The invention relates to a rear spoiler assembly (heckspooleroranordnung) for a motor vehicle, comprising: a rear spoiler which can be mounted with its underside on an attachment element (Anbauelement) of the motor vehicle and forms an air guide element with its upper side facing away from the underside; at least one side spoiler mountable on the attachment element; and a screwing device for fixing the side spoiler at the attachment element, wherein the side spoiler is releasably connected with the rear spoiler.
Background
Rear spoiler assemblies for motor vehicles of the type mentioned at the outset are known from the prior art. In order to ensure an optimum static friction (haftreimbung) between the wheels of the motor vehicle and the roadway located therebelow, it is known to provide the motor vehicle with spoilers or air guiding elements which press the motor vehicle onto the roadway by the driving wind. In particular, rear spoilers are used to increase the squeezing force at the rear wheel axle to prevent unintentional breaking of the tail during cornering at higher speeds (ausbreche). For motor vehicles with a sloping or steep tail shape, the rear spoiler is often arranged at the upper end of the rear cover, in particular of the rear window. The rear window or rear cover is often also used here as an attachment element, on which the rear spoiler assembly can be arranged. A corresponding rear spoiler assembly is known, for example, from publication EP 2436580 a 2. The rear spoiler is screwed to the attachment and has side spoilers on both sides, which are connected to the rear spoiler and to the attachment, likewise by means of screw connections.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide an improved rear spoiler assembly for a motor vehicle, which simplifies the assembly and reduces the production costs, in particular, without impairing the stability of the rear spoiler assembly.
The object of the invention is achieved with the rear spoiler assembly according to the invention. This has the advantage that the rear spoiler assembly can be assembled with fewer manual operations (Handgriff) or with fewer assembly steps, and that a higher security or stability of the rear spoiler assembly at the motor vehicle is ensured by a favorable engagement of the rear spoiler and the side spoiler. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the rear spoiler has a retaining edge associated with its underside and the side spoiler has a retaining section (Halteabschnitt) for the retaining edge, wherein the retaining edge of the rear spoiler can be tensioned between the retaining section and the attachment element by means of a screw device. The retaining edge of the rear spoiler can thus be clamped between the retaining section and the attachment element. The underside of the rear spoiler is the side of the rear spoiler which, in the intended use, is associated with the attachment element and in particular lies thereon. The tensioning force acting on the retaining edge of the rear spoiler is generated by a screw device (by means of which the side spoiler can be fixed at the attachment element), so that the rear spoiler is reliably fixed at the attachment element by means of the screw device by means of the retaining section of the side spoiler. Since the rear spoiler is advantageously clamped at the attachment element by the side spoiler, a simple assembly is ensured, since fewer connecting points are produced which need to be screwed or glued in order to construct the rear spoiler assembly securely.
According to a preferred refinement of the invention, the rear spoiler has an upper shell and a lower shell. The upper and lower shells of the rear spoiler in particular form the outer contour of the rear spoiler and optionally form a cavity or gap (zwischenbaum) between them, in which a reinforcing element can also be arranged. Preferably, the lower shell at least approximately forms the underside of the rear spoiler, with which the rear spoiler is placed at the attachment, while the upper shell preferably at least approximately forms the air guiding element by at least approximately forming the part of the rear spoiler that opposes the driving wind during driving of the motor vehicle. It is preferably provided here that the upper shell has a retaining edge which is associated with the underside of the rear spoiler. In this case, the upper shell is preferably designed structurally such that it projects in the assembled state onto the underside of the rear spoiler, whereby the upper shell together forms the underside of the rear spoiler at least in sections and is constructed in particular in one piece with the retaining edge. In particular, the retaining edge is here a section of the upper shell which together forms the underside. This preferred development of the invention has the advantage that the upper shell of the rear spoiler is fixed by the side spoiler, so that no additional connection of the upper shell to other elements of the rear spoiler, in particular the optionally present lower shell, is required. In this way, the expenditure on connecting in the rear spoiler, in particular between the upper shell and the lower shell, is advantageously reduced. Optionally, however, additional connections, for example adhesive or screw connections, are provided between the elements of the rear spoiler in order to further increase the stability of the rear spoiler. The clamping of the holding section is in particular designed for hybrid fastening (hybrid fastener), by means of which the mentioned level of reliability of the adhesive connection (sichertklasse) can be reduced in particular.
According to a preferred development of the invention, the retaining edge has at least one projection associated with the retaining section and the retaining section has a recess configured correspondingly to the projection. If the projection is introduced into the recess during assembly, a form-fitting connection is thereby obtained between the side spoiler and the rear spoiler. In this way, a lateral displacement of the rear spoiler relative to the side spoiler is ensured in particular not only by the static friction that can be achieved by means of the screwing device but also by the projection that is inserted into the recess in a form-fitting manner. Optionally, the retaining section and the retaining edge have pairs of protrusions and recesses engaging into each other. Alternatively or additionally, the or another protrusion is configured at the retaining section and the or another recess is configured at the retaining edge.
In particular, the respective recess is preferably designed in the form of a groove, so that it extends along the retaining section. In particular, the groove-shaped recess edge is configured open at least one end, so that the projection engaging into the recess can be pushed laterally into the groove-shaped recess without having to be inserted into the groove-shaped recess only perpendicularly to the direction of extension. The projections are preferably configured overall corresponding to a trough-shaped recess web or preferably have a different shape than the web (Stegform), for example conical, alternatively spherical or convex projections. Particularly preferably, however, the protruding tabs are designed in a tab-like manner, so that an advantageous orientation of the side spoiler relative to the rear spoiler is also achieved by the tab-like protrusions engaging in the groove-shaped recesses.
According to a preferred refinement of the invention, the side spoiler is formed in a U-shaped manner in longitudinal section with two side legs lying opposite one another, wherein a first of the side legs is provided for bearing on the attachment element and has a retaining section and a second of the side legs forms the air guiding element. One leg is therefore used for fixing the rear spoiler assembly at the attachment and the other leg is used for air flow guidance, whereby both legs can be optimally adapted to their respective purpose in an advantageous manner.
Particularly preferably, the first leg has an opening through which a fastening bolt of the screwing device can be guided, in particular, with a bolt shaft (Schraubenschaft). The side spoiler can thus be screwed directly onto the attachment element via the first leg. This also results in a favorable introduction of forces into the retaining edge of the rear spoiler via the retaining section formed on the first leg.
Preferably, a nut co-operating with the fastening screw is fastened at or in the opening. This advantage is achieved in particular in that the bolt head of the fastening bolt bears against the attachment piece on the side of the attachment piece facing away from the side spoiler, thereby facilitating assembly, since the bolt head can be accessed more easily on the rear side of the attachment piece than in a side spoiler, in particular of U-shaped design. Furthermore, the additional advantage is obtained that at least the upper shell and/or the side spoiler can be moved on the surface of the attachment part at the time of assembly, at least substantially without limitation, in particular by means of a threaded pin (gewendbolzen) or a clip projecting from the attachment part, thereby significantly simplifying the optimal positionability thereof.
It is furthermore preferably provided that the side spoiler has, at a distance from the screwing device, an adhesive (Verklebung) for fastening to the attachment. By gluing at a distance from the screwing device, additional fixing of the side spoiler at the attachment element is ensured. In particular, the adhesive is used to lift the side spoiler from the attachment part at an end spaced apart from the adhesive in the event of the screwing device being released, such that the clamping of the rear spoiler can be released and the rear spoiler can be removed from the attachment part and the side spoiler without the side spoiler completely being removed from the attachment part. This results in a simple disassembly of the rear spoiler, for example for maintenance or replacement of the lighting device integrated therein.
Preferably, the rear spoiler assembly has an attachment piece, in particular designed as a rear cover of the motor vehicle or a motor vehicle, wherein the retaining edge of the rear spoiler is held in tension between the retaining section of the side spoiler and the attachment element by means of a screw device. The advantages already mentioned are thereby obtained.
Particularly preferably, the rear spoiler assembly has a further side spoiler which is designed mirror-inverted with respect to the side spoiler already described above. The additional side spoiler is arranged on a second longitudinal side of the rear spoiler facing away from the first longitudinal side, at which the one side spoiler is arranged and connected to the rear spoiler, and is connected or connectable there with the rear spoiler and with the attachment element by means of a further screw device of the additional side spoiler, as described above. The rear spoiler is thereby reliably locked on both sides at the attachment element and at the same time a simple removal of the rear spoiler is achieved, in particular without completely removing the side spoiler from the attachment element.
Drawings
The invention will be explained in detail below on the basis of the drawings. Wherein:
figure 1 shows a motor vehicle with an advantageous rear spoiler assembly in a simplified side view,
FIG. 2 shows a perspective detailed view of the rear spoiler assembly, an
FIG. 3 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of the rear spoiler assembly.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows an advantageous motor vehicle 1 in a simplified side view, which has a steep tail (Steilheck) 2. The steep tail 2 is formed mainly by a tailgate 3 carrying a window pane 4. At the upper end of the pane 4, a rear spoiler assembly 5 is arranged, which additionally forms the roof line (Dachlinie) of the motor vehicle 1. The rear spoiler assembly 5 has a rear spoiler 6 which extends over almost the entire width of the window pane 4 or the tailgate 3 and is supplemented at its longitudinal sides facing away from one another by side spoilers 7. In fig. 1, only one of the side spoilers 7 can be identified on account of the side view.
Fig. 2 shows a simplified perspective detailed view of the rear spoiler assembly 5. The side spoiler 7 is advantageously molded on the rear spoiler 6 in such a way that no or only small edges or interruptions (unterbechhung) are produced between the side spoiler 7 and the rear spoiler 6 on the rear spoiler assembly 5. Here, the side spoiler 7 extends according to the present embodiment over the entire length of the rear spoiler 6, as shown in fig. 2.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic sectional view of the rear spoiler assembly 5 according to the sectional line a-a depicted in fig. 2.
The rear spoiler 6 has an upper shell 8 which forms an air guide element 9 guiding an air flow at the upper side of the rear spoiler 6. The upper shell 8 has, at its edge region facing the side spoiler 7 or at its longitudinal side facing the side spoiler 7, a section 10 which opens into an attachment element 11 of the motor vehicle, so that the rear spoiler 6 rests with the upper shell 8 on the attachment element 11, as shown in fig. 3. The upper shell 8 of the rear spoiler 6 is thus guided up to the underside of the rear spoiler 6, which rests on the attachment element 11. The attachment element 11 is, for example, a baffle element of an outer lining of the motor vehicle 1 or alternatively the window pane 4.
The section 10 terminates with a laterally projecting retaining edge 12, which rests on an attachment element 11. The retaining edge 12 projects in the direction of the side spoiler 7 and has a projection 13 at its free end, which is of tab-shaped design and extends in particular horizontally when arranged as intended on the motor vehicle 1. Spaced apart from the projection 13 at the free end, the retaining edge 12 furthermore has a recess 14 which runs in a groove-like manner parallel to the web-shaped projection 13 on the side facing away from the attachment element 11.
The side spoiler 7 is configured in a U-shaped profile such that it has a first leg 15 and a second leg 16, which are connected to one another by a connecting section 17. In particular, the connecting section 17 and the two legs 15,16 are formed integrally with one another. Alternatively, the two legs 15,16 are designed separately and are connected to one another, for example by gluing and/or screwing. The legs 15,16 lie opposite one another, wherein they run parallel to one another or offset from one another in a parallel orientation. According to the present exemplary embodiment, the distance between the free ends of the legs 15,16 is smaller than the distance between the legs 15,16 at the connecting section 17. The legs 15,16 therefore run toward one another at their free ends, as a result of which flow-technical advantages arise during operation.
The first leg 15 facing the attachment element 11 has an opening 18 in which a nut 19 is fixed. The fixing bolt 20 is guided with its threaded bolt shank 21 through the opening 22 of the attachment element 11 and screwed into the nut 19, so that the bolt head of the fixing bolt 20 bears against the attachment element 11 on the side of the attachment element 11 facing away from the spoiler 7. By providing this screwing device 23, which in particular comprises a fixing bolt 20 and a nut 19 fixed at the side spoiler, the side spoiler can be fixed at the attachment element 11 and can be moved substantially freely on the attachment element 11 in an advantageous manner in the frame of the assembly process before screwing or gluing.
The side spoiler 7 furthermore has a retaining section 24 facing the rear spoiler 6, which is configured to interact with the retaining edge 12 of the rear spoiler 6 in order to fix the rear spoiler 6 at the attachment element 11 or at the motor vehicle 1.
For this purpose, the retaining section 24 has a groove-shaped recess 25 corresponding to the tab-shaped projection 13 and a tab-shaped projection 26 which interacts with the groove-shaped recess 14. In the intended use, as shown in fig. 3, the retaining section 24 is placed on the retaining edge 12 of the upper shell 8 of the rear spoiler 6 during assembly in such a way that the projection 26 penetrates into the recess 14 and the projection 13 penetrates into the recess 25, so that a form-fitting connection is obtained between the side spoiler 7 and the rear spoiler 6. By tightening the fixing bolts 20, the retaining edge 12 is additionally clamped or tensioned between the side spoiler 7, in particular the lower leg 15 thereof, and the attachment element 11. The rear spoiler 6 is thereby securely fixed at the attachment element by the side spoiler 7. Preferably, the rear spoiler 6 is connected in a form-fitting manner, and in particular pivotably and movably connected, to the motor vehicle 1 or to the attachment element 11 or to a further attachment element 11 of the motor vehicle 1 at a region remote from the side spoiler 7 by means of a plug connection, so that if the side spoiler 7 is completely or only partially released from the attachment element 11 by releasing the screw device 23, the rear spoiler 6 can be removed in its entirety from the motor vehicle without further auxiliary means by removing the retaining edge 12 under the retaining section 24. If the clamping achieved by the screwing device 23 is released, the rear spoiler 6 can simply be pulled out of the region of the retaining section 24 using the retaining edge 12 and then, for example, swiveled or removed from the motor vehicle 1, so that the rear light, for example, integrated into the rear spoiler 6, can be accessed and replaced in a simple manner. In particular, the rear spoiler 6 itself is held without screwing means or without screwing only by the side spoiler 7 on the motor vehicle 1, as a result of which simple assembly and disassembly are possible.
Optionally, the side spoiler 7 is fixed at the attachment element 11 by means of an additional adhesive 27 in the section of the leg 15 facing away from or facing away from the retaining section 24. By gluing, for example, it is achieved that if the screwing device 23 is loosened, the side spoiler 7 is not completely loosened from the attachment element but remains continuously there. Furthermore, the adhesive 27 helps to prevent flow noise and the ingress of wind and/or dirt or moisture into the region between the side spoiler 7 and the attachment element 11 during operation. Alternatively, the retaining edge 12 of the upper shell 8 is also configured such that it extends so far below the leg 15 of the side spoiler 7 that it also extends beyond the region of the screw device 23. To achieve screwing, however, the retaining edge 12 has in this case an additional opening 28, through which the fixing bolt 20 and optionally also the nut 19 can be guided. The extended configuration of the retaining rim 12 is shown by dashed lines in fig. 3.
According to the present exemplary embodiment, the first leg 15 is generally spaced apart from the attachment element 11, while according to a further exemplary embodiment it is provided that the leg 15 is at least partially placed on the attachment element 11 and that only the retaining section 24 is offset so that the retaining edge 12 of the upper shell 8 of the rear spoiler 6 can be arranged between the retaining section 24 and the attachment element 11 and tensioned or clamped when the fixing bolt 20 is tightened.
