Abstract

Background
In recent years, jellyfish (Sha Zhe Nemopilema nomurai, white jellyfish cyanea nozakishinouye, etc.) at the lower end of the food chain explodes due to deterioration of marine environment, excessive fishing, etc., and seriously affects the marine ecosystem, the food net structure, the fishery production, etc. Therefore, the development of the large jellyfish monitoring work has important significance for the early warning of the vigorous development of jellyfish and the research of the mechanism of the vigorous development.
The conventional large jellyfish monitoring method mainly comprises netting gear investigation, acoustic investigation, visual inspection and the like. Various monitoring methods are required to acquire jellyfish data information as much as possible, including jellyfish quantity, jellyfish size (umbrella diameter size) and the like. In the visual investigation, the visual investigation time is set during the navigation of a predetermined route by using a survey vessel, and the number of jellyfish is counted by visual investigation within a predetermined time, but the jellyfish size, that is, the umbrella diameter visual effect is not ideal because: 1) Is that the visual estimation is subject to error compared to the actual measurement; 2) The sea water is refracted, and the visual force and perceived measurement of objects in the sea are changed after the refraction; 3) The jellyfish is three-dimensional, and the visual observation of the shape is sometimes not suitable for estimating the umbrella diameter. For the above reasons, it is highly desirable to provide a method for measuring the diameter of a jellyfish during the visual inspection of a large jellyfish, so as to ensure the integrity, scientificity and usability of jellyfish data information obtained by the visual inspection method.
Disclosure of Invention
Aiming at the difficult problem that the measurement of the size (umbrella diameter) of the jellyfish in the monitoring method of the large jellyfish visual inspection is difficult to quantify, the invention provides a capturing device and a capturing method for measuring the umbrella diameter of the large jellyfish in the visual inspection, which can capture the large jellyfish visual inspection and measure the umbrella diameter of the large jellyfish so as to realize quantitative judgment of the size of the jellyfish in the visual inspection.

(3) If the visual inspection time unit of 5min is not finished and the jellyfish is filled in the net bag, the jellyfish collecting net is pulled up from the sea rapidly, collected jellyfish is released and concentrated on the deck, meanwhile, another jellyfish collecting net on the side of the ship board is put into the sea, if the jellyfish is filled in the net bag again, the jellyfish collecting net is pulled up, the first jellyfish collecting net which is released is put into the sea again, and the process is repeated until visual inspection is finished or the collected jellyfish quantity meets the requirement of statistics on the sample quantity;
(4) The scientific researchers measure and count the diameter of the jellyfish one by using a measuring tool for the large jellyfish concentrated on the deck.
Further, the cross rod is 2-2.5 m long, the diameter of the jellyfish collecting net mouth is 2-2.5 m, the length of the net is 2.5-3 m, and the length of the net bag is 2-2.5 m. The setting of the size of the cross bar and the size of the net mouth is used for capturing jellyfish in a visual range as much as possible, and in visual work, the observation radius, the size of the cross bar and the size of the net mouth can be adjusted according to actual conditions.

If too many jellyfishes are collected in the observation time, if the jellyfishes are fully filled in the net bags after 5min visual inspection, the jellyfishes net is quickly pulled up from the sea, collected jellyfishes are released and concentrated on a deck, meanwhile, another jellyfish collecting net is placed in the sea, if the net bags are fully filled again by the jellyfishes, the collecting net is pulled up, the first jellyfish collecting net which is completely released is placed in the sea again, the above processes are continuously repeated, and the jellyfish collecting net is alternately used to obtain more large jellyfishes until the visual inspection time of the visual inspection station position reaches 5min or the number of the collected jellyfishes reaches 50. According to the theory of statistics, 50 samples can better meet the requirement of statistics on the sample size.
The visual inspection is used as a large jellyfish monitoring means, the statistics of the number mainly depends on visual inspection, and the statistics of jellyfish size is realized by the method. During working, scientific researchers measure and count the diameter of the jellyfish one by using a measuring tool for large jellyfish concentrated on the deck. If the number of the large jellyfish in each visual station is not more than 50, all measuring and sampling are carried out, otherwise, 50 head jellyfish diameter data are measured. Therefore, jellyfish quantity and jellyfish size data of each visual station can be collected, and follow-up jellyfish population dynamic analysis and research work can be conveniently carried out.
