Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of oral cleaning and nursing products, particularly relates to a novel pet chewing gum, and particularly provides a pet chewing gum based on alginate soft capsules.
Background
Animal and human teeth are quite similar, from tissue structure to jaw bone structure. However, because animals cannot always clean their mouths actively, long-term food residues adhere to the tooth surfaces and accumulate to form tartar, and bacteria are continuously propagated, so that gingivitis, periodontitis, dental calculus and the like are caused, and halitosis, redness and swelling of the gums and even kidney diseases are caused. Bad breath of the pet can also influence the feeding experience of a pet owner, so the oral cavity nursing care has important significance. In addition, the long-term consistency of the fed food of the domestic pet causes unbalanced dietary nutrition and lack of B vitamins, further increases the risk of oral ulcer or erosion of the pet, is often accompanied by halitosis, salivation and chewing disorder in severe cases and immunodeficiency, reduces the food consumption of animals, even refuses to eat, and seriously affects the gastrointestinal function.
At present, the oral cleaning product for pets has the following problems: (1) the toothpaste for pets: the toothpaste for the human is developed and converted, the using principle and method and the toothpaste for the human do not have two qualities, the situation that the pet is not matched always occurs in the using process, the using environment always needs manual intervention, and the activity of the pet is not fully utilized; (2) chewing gum for pet: chewing gum for pets is also used for humans as a weaning chewing gum, which requires chewing to be effective, and this approach is well suited for canine pets, but is essentially ineffective for feline pets, because felines swallow the food, have no posterior sockets, have no chewing process, and the dental and jaw-biting actions only serve to cut food, and thus the chewing gum is ineffective for felines. The american society of veterinary and medicine indicates that more than 70% of cats in about three years have oral diseases, and that the problems of gingival inflammation and oral mucosal hyperplasia in cats, especially in older cats, are common and serious, and that digestive function is affected in cats with oral diseases, thereby shortening their life.
In addition, the birth of the existing breed cat is often accompanied with close reproduction, so that the physique and the resistance of the cat are poor, and the cat is very easy to get ill. The use of prescription drugs is frequent in breed cats once they are ill, and the convenient feeding of cats is also a problem. Furthermore, the species cat also needs to regularly expel insects in vivo and in vitro, but the existing method for feeding the insect repellent in the pet body still uses a medicine feeder which is very troublesome when in use, is particularly unfriendly to common new promotion pet owners, and has the condition of scratching by pet cats in the process of the pet owners. According to statistics, by 2020, the number of pet cats reaches 4862, and how to scientifically feed the pet cats and perform effective oral care is particularly important.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the problems that the existing pet oral cavity cleaning products and medicines are harsh in use conditions and limited in use objects, the invention aims to provide the pet chewing gum based on the alginate soft capsules, the chewing gum can play a cleaning role without chewing, and is also effective for animals such as cats who eat the chewing gum.
In order to achieve the technical purpose, the inventor utilizes the motility of pets, utilizes the shell formed by the phagostimulant to wrap the medicine-containing soft capsule and the enteric-soluble microcapsule to lure the pets to use actively, utilizes the medicine-containing soft capsule to bring the antibacterial medicine into the oral cavity of the pets, and then utilizes the enteric-soluble microcapsule to bring the probiotics and the prescription medicine of the pets into the small intestines of the pets for absorption and utilization. The process only needs feeding manually, does not need excessive participation, and has the characteristics of convenient use, suitability for pet groups, and the like. Specifically, the technical scheme of the invention is summarized as follows:

Example 4: judgment of attracting or palatability of pet chewing gum (double basin method)
The double-pot method is a common development for determining palatability internationally at present, and comprises the steps of respectively providing A, B two kinds of foods with the same amount to a group of pets (all cats or all dogs), feeding the pets freely within a certain time, respectively recording consumption rates of the pets to A, B, and consuming high palatability (consumption rate A is consumption of food A in a certain time/total amount of A, B two kinds of foods).
We chose 6 male puppet cats aged 2-4 years, examined two weeks in advance, repelled and then fed in pet cat cages (3m × 1m × 2 m). Before feeding, freely drinking water, replacing cat litter every day, cleaning the cat house and cleaning the cat house to keep the cat house clean. All procedures were performed after the cats had fasted overnight. Because the adult puppet cat eats between 100-200g per meal, the interference is eliminated, and the adult puppet cat feeds 250g per meal. The experiments were averaged 6 times, each one week apart.
TABLE 1 palatability comparison experiment of different ingredient phagostimulants
The experimental result shows that the palatability of the food calling system using the beef liver formula is better.
Example 5: evaluation of bacteriostatic agent Effect in Pet chewing Gum
12 pet cats with oral inflammation were selected and randomly divided into four groups of 3 cats, each group being designated as one, two, three, and four groups. Oral mucosa, tongue and gum secretion samples are collected for each group of pet cats by a sampling swab, and 23 kinds of bacteria are obtained in the oral secretions of all pet cats after separation and identification. The pathogenicity experiment proves that 3 of the bacteria have pathogenicity, and the pathogenicity is respectively as follows: staphylococcus, streptococcus, pasteurella.
And feeding the chewing gum for the pet after the pet cat eats for half an hour. Feeding continuously for 14 days. One group was fed nothing, two groups were fed with the chewing gum prepared in example 3, three groups were fed with the chewing gum prepared in comparative example 1, and four groups were fed with the chewing gum prepared in comparative example 2.
After 14 days, oral mucosa, tongue and gingival secretion samples were collected from the oral cavities of five groups of pet cats by sampling swabs, and the sample flora was isolated, and the results are shown in table 2 (when the total number of colonies is less than 10CFU/g, the colonies were regarded as not detected).
Table 2: evaluation of antibacterial effect of pet chewing gum
Pathogenic bacteria | A group of | Two groups are | Three groups | Four groups |
Streptococcus sp | Detect out | Not detected out | Not detected out | Detect out |
Pasteurella | Detect out | Not detected out | Not detected out | Detect out |
Staphylococcus aureus | Detect out | Not detected out | Detect out | Not detected out |
As can be seen from the experimental results of Table 2, the pet cats fed the chewing gum of example 3 did not detect 3 pathogens, while the pet cats fed the chewing gum of comparative example 1 detected staphylococci, and the pet cats fed the chewing gum of comparative example 2 detected streptococci and Pasteurella, indicating that methylthioadenosine and citronellac acid have a synergistic killing effect on the pathogens of oral inflammation in the pet cats.
