本发明实施例公开一种传输节能信号的方法及基站,方法包括:基站发送第一指示信令,所述第一指示信令用于通知节能信号的类型和/或下行控制信息的大小;所述节能信号的类型包括用于传输单用户节能信息的第一物理下行控制信道PDCCH节能信号和用于传输多用户节能信息的第二PDCCH节能信号;所述下行控制信息的大小包括所述下行控制信息占用的比特数或所述下行控制信息携带的节能信息的数目,所述比特数和所述节能信息的数目与用户数具备对应关系;所述节能信号通过所述下行控制信息传输。采用本发明实施例,可使得基站可以根据当前情况灵活的选择合适的节能信号,提升系统的工作效率。
