Description

Cosmetic article comprising a roller-treated fabric
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of cosmetics and more particularly, but not exclusively, to a cosmetic device for making up or caring for human keratin materials, in particular the skin, and to a method for manufacturing such a cosmetic device.
Background
It is known to impregnate a porous structure with a cosmetic composition, it being possible to bring a finger or an applicator into contact with said porous structure in order to load said finger or applicator with a product.
A number of patent application publications propose cosmetic articles of this type. In particular, application WO2017/016608 a1 may be cited, which discloses an article comprising a fibrous mat consisting of a nonwoven fabric covered on one side with a screen. The problem posed by this type of article is the need to find a compromise between various parameters such as the capacity to store a large quantity of composition and to release it gradually, without excess per use and as complete as possible during use, and the need to exploit shape memory and the capacity to receive compositions with variable viscosity, all with small overall dimensions and manufacturing costs compatible with large-scale marketing requirements.
However, there is a need to provide a cosmetic article that allows the composition to be picked up, dispensed or applied with an aesthetic effect and in contact with the skin, which contact is pleasant to the user.
KR101380587 discloses an elastic discharge cock combined with a beauty treatment container for containing various cosmetics. An elastic discharge plug for smoothly spreading and discharging a fluid cosmetic has an elastic band portion at an edge end, a reinforcing portion in the middle, and a film expanding portion for connecting the elastic band portion and the reinforcing portion. Two or more downward protrusions are formed at the bottom of the reinforcing part, and repeatedly arranged diffusion grooves are formed at the top of the reinforcing part. Unnecessary leakage of the cosmetics is prevented by forming a cutting line penetrating the downward protruding portion on the reinforcing portion because the cosmetics are discharged to a wide area due to the plurality of cutting lines and the cutting lines adhere to each other when the discharge peg is restored to an original state. Since the cosmetic discharged above the elastic discharge pin is discharged while being widely diffused through the diffusion groove, the contents are uniformly absorbed to a wide area of the puff, and thus it is possible to uniformly make up on the skin of the user.
KR10-2016-0146510 relates to a cosmetic product comprising a discharge surface for discharging the contents by external pressurization, wherein, in a particular embodiment, the discharge surface has at least one embossment which is convex or concave on at least one surface. This document teaches that the at least one embossment can be formed by the application of heat and/or pressure without any further details.
The present invention aims to further improve cosmetic preparations having a reservoir containing a cosmetic composition. Another object of the invention is to propose a cosmetic product that can be used as an applicator.
Disclosure of Invention
Cosmetic product
Thus, according to one aspect of the present invention, the present invention relates to a cosmetic article comprising a fabric defining a surface for applying, picking up or dispensing a cosmetic composition, at least a portion of said fabric having been treated with at least one roller.
By means of the invention, an aesthetic textile article is obtained, which is textured and/or comfortable to the touch, for example by treatment.
In a particular embodiment, the article comprises a box comprising a body having a shell forming a reservoir containing the cosmetic composition, the fabric being a mesh arranged above the cosmetic composition such that the composition can be pressed through the fabric, in particular by the fabric. In such a cartridge, the reservoir does not contain any porous material designed to be impregnated with a cosmetic composition, at least when in use.
In another embodiment, the article comprises a base structure, in particular a sponge or a cellular porous block of material impregnated at least at the time of use with a cosmetic composition, the fabric being fixed to the base structure by adhesive bonding or by welding.
In yet another embodiment, the article forms a cosmetic composition applicator and comprises an end piece covered with a fabric and secured to a rigid or semi-rigid gripping member. The article may also form a cosmetic composition applicator and comprise a porous material, such as a sponge, which is not impregnated with the composition and which is covered by a fabric.
At least a portion of the surface of the fabric for applying, picking up or dispensing the cosmetic composition may have been treated with the at least one roller.
Alternatively or additionally, the reverse side of at least a portion of the surface of the fabric for applying, picking up or dispensing the cosmetic composition may have been treated with the at least one roller.
At least a portion of the fabric may have a raised pattern (motif) produced by the treatment. In this case, the pattern of protrusions may have at least one peak and at least one depression, the maximum height between the peak and the depression being 0.05mm to 4mm, and the height may be variable. The relief may have a small extent.
In a variant, at least a portion of the fabric may lack the relief created by the treatment.
"treatment with at least one roll" may also be referred to as "treatment with at least one cylinder" and is understood to mean a treatment in which at least one portion of the fabric is placed in contact with the at least one roll. Placing the fabric in contact with at least one roll may be carried out with or without pressure and/or with or without heat. The at least one roller may comprise a raised pattern. In a variant, the at least one roller does not comprise any raised pattern. When the treatment is carried out with more than one roll, for example with two rolls, only one roll may comprise embossments. In a variant, the two rollers may comprise identical, complementary or different patterns of protuberances. The treatment with the at least one roll may be selected from mechanical finishing techniques. Mechanical finishing techniques are different from printing techniques. They are carried out after the fabric has been produced.
The treatment with at least one roll may be selected from the group consisting of calendering (calendaring), embossing (embossing), creating moir é effects (moir effect), bubbling (blistering), calendering (calendaring), beating (striking) and grinding, preferably calendering.
By "calendering" is understood to mean that at least a portion of the fabric passes between two or more heated rolls, i.e. calendering rolls, causing the narrowing of the pores by the surface melting and crushing of the fibers. At least one of the rolls may be etched with a corresponding pattern of protrusions, inverted or not, so that a pattern of protrusions may be formed on the fabric and thus on the surface of the fabric.
"embossing" or "bubbling" is understood to mean that at least a portion of the fabric passes between two etched rolls, thereby forming an embossment on the fabric.
Calendering is understood to mean intense calendering with heat, addition of paraffin, wax or other chemical compounds, for example to obtain a very shiny appearance.
"producing the moire effect" is understood to mean a treatment that produces a reflective effect by pressing the threads of the fabric in different directions. The appearance obtained is mirror-like, depending on the incidence of the light.
"beating" is understood to mean the treatment of a fabric, in particular a synthetic fabric, by passing it between a smooth roll and an embossed roll, thus shaping the fabric.
"grinding" is understood to mean a treatment which is often carried out before possible dyeing by means of a roller covered with an abrasive paper, which is a thicker or less thick sandpaper. The treatment by grinding gives the fabric a very soft "peach-skin" hand.
Depending on the treatment to which at least a portion of the fabric is subjected, different texturing effects may be obtained that are pleasing to the eye and/or the touch.
The porosity of the fabric can be changed by treatment with at least one roll, in a welcome sense, in particular to a smaller porosity. The fabric may remain permeable to the cosmetic composition. The porosity within the surface may not be uniform. In particular, when there is a pattern of protrusions having peaks and depressions, for example, the peaks that have undergone greater compression may be regions that are less porous than the depressions.
When present, the pattern of protrusions can have a variety of shapes. The pattern may be a regular or irregular geometric shape.
In a particular embodiment, all fabrics are treated by treatment with at least one roll.
The fabric may comprise threads made of synthetic fibers and/or microfibers selected from the group consisting of polyamide, elastane, polyester, acrylic, viscose, acetate, cellulose, polyolefin and polyether.
The presence of microfibers may impart a particular softness to the tactile sensation, which may be pleasing to the user.
The fabric is, for example, woven fabric (woven), nonwoven fabric (non-woven) or knitted fabric (knit).
The fabric may have a mesh structure, the structure of which has been modified by treatment with at least one roller. In particular, the web structure may be broken after the treatment, for example by calendering. The porosity may be reduced, for example, to reduce the permeability of the fabric.
The fabric may have at least one opening, the appearance of which has been modified by treatment, in particular by calendering.
The article may comprise a frame and the fabric is then held by the frame over a reservoir of the composition such that the composition can be pressed through the fabric, in particular by the fabric.
In a variant, the fabric may be fixed to a base structure, in particular a sponge impregnated with a cosmetic composition.
The article of manufacture may further comprise a box comprising a body having a shell containing the cosmetic composition, the fabric being arranged above the cosmetic composition, the box comprising a lid arranged to interact with the body, for example, in particular to close the box hermetically, for example.
In a variant, the cosmetic article forms a cosmetic composition applicator. In this case, the article may form a pad or puff. In this case, the article may be washable. In a variation, the applicator is secured to the gripping member.
The cosmetic composition may be in liquid or powder form, preferably in liquid form.
Regardless of the embodiment, the fabric is advantageously a single layer. The fabric is preferably not directly connected to the underlying filaments from the reverse side of the fabric. The reverse side of the fabric may be free, i.e., not attached to the substrate layer or substrate structure by weaving or knitting.
Manufacturing method
According to another aspect of the invention, in combination with the above, the invention also relates to a process for manufacturing a cosmetic product as defined above, comprising the following steps:
-treating at least a portion of the fabric with at least one roller, and then
-producing an article from the fabric thus treated.
Advantageously, the treatment with at least one roll is selected from the group consisting of calendering, embossing, creating moir effect, bubbling, calendering, beating and grinding, preferably calendering.
By means of the invention, at least part of the fabric or even the whole fabric is modified during the treatment step, in particular the surface of the fabric (which enables the application, pickup or dispensing of the cosmetic composition) and/or the reverse of this surface. The appearance of the fabric is changed and/or the structure of the fabric is changed and/or the feel of the fabric is changed and/or the properties of the fabric, in particular the porosity, are changed. This allows its surface and properties to be adjusted as desired.

Detailed Description
In the rest of the description, identical elements or elements having the same function have the same reference numerals. In order to make the description of the present application concise, not every drawing is described, and only differences between the embodiments are described.
Fig. 1 shows a cosmetic product 1 according to the invention, comprising a cartridge 2 having a body 3. The box 2 also comprises a lid 5, in this example the lid 5 is hinged on the body 3. The cover can be secured in different ways, for example by screwing on the body.
The cartridge 2 also houses an applicator support 6, in this example the applicator support 6 being hinged on the main body 3 about a rotation axis perpendicular to the rotation axis of the hinge between the lid 5 and the main body 3. The applicator is not shown in this figure. The disk 4 is accommodated in a housing 8 of the main body 3 of the cartridge 2. The tray 4 contains a reservoir of cosmetic composition. The reservoir does not contain any porous material to be impregnated with the composition.
At the top of the reservoir is a fabric 15 defining a surface 17, the surface 17 being used to apply, pick up or dispense a composition, the surface forming the front side of the fabric 15. At least a portion of the fabric 15, and in this example at least a portion of the surface 17, has been treated by treatment with at least one roller. In the example shown, this portion of the surface 17, and in this example all of the surface 17, has a raised pattern 20, which raised pattern 20, as can be seen, is formed by calendering with at least one calendering roller having a corresponding raised pattern, which raised pattern is inverted or not.
It does not depart from the scope of the invention if the treatment with at least one roller is another treatment, in particular a treatment chosen from embossing, creating a moir é effect, bubbling, calendering, beating or grinding. This does not depart from the scope of the invention if the fabric is not embossed after treatment with at least one roll. It would not depart from the scope of the invention if the reverse side of surface 17 had been treated with at least rollers.
The surface 17 is arranged to apply a cosmetic composition contained in an underlying reservoir. The fabric 15 is permeable to the composition and allows the composition to pass through the web of which it is formed.
Most (especially all) of the cosmetic composition is contained in the reservoir.
Fig. 2 and 3 respectively show the fabric of fig. 1. Fig. 2 shows the relief of the fabric 15 from the side, with a relatively low maximum relief height H of about 0.1 mm. It can be seen from this figure that the pattern of protrusions 20 is irregular, but this is within the scope of the invention. The raised pattern 20 in this example simulates the skin of a reptile.
Fig. 4 and 5 show other examples of the fabric 15 after calendering. In these examples, dark and light regions can be seen. The dark areas form the peaks 21 of the raised pattern 20 and the light areas form the valleys 22 of the raised pattern 20.
In the example of fig. 6, the raised relief 20 has a plurality of zones 23, each zone comprising different mutually parallel bands of alternating light and dark bands (hence debossed bands 22 and peaked bands 21, respectively), the bands of the two different zones 23 not being mutually parallel.
Fig. 7 shows an example of a calendering tool that enables the treatment of a fabric 15 to form an article 1 according to the invention. The tool comprises two cylinders B forming the calender rolls. One of the rollers B1Including the raised pattern F. According to the manufacturing method, the fabric 15 passes between two rollers B in a hot state, as indicated by the arrow, the two rollers being driven in rotation in directions different from each other. The distance between the rollers B can be adjusted. The fabric 15 is subjected to embossing or thermoforming by the raised pattern F. It will thus appear in a corresponding raised pattern 20 and the calendered fabric 15 will then be used to produce an article according to the present invention.
The surface in contact with the raised pattern F may be the surface visible in fig. 1, i.e. surface 17. In a variant, it may be the opposite surface to surface 17, i.e. the opposite surface to surface 17, which is not visible in fig. 1. In the first case, the raised pattern F is inverted compared to the raised pattern 20. In the second case, the raised pattern F is not inverted compared to the raised pattern 20.
Instead of calendering, in particular embossing, creating a moir effect, bubbling, calendering, beating or grinding, other processing techniques using at least one roll may be employed without departing from the scope of the invention.
In the example shown, only one of the two rollers comprises a raised pattern F, but the two rollers may comprise a complementary or non-complementary raised pattern F. In another variation, none of the rollers contains a raised pattern. This enables the fabric 15 to produce other effects or characteristics. The tool may also comprise a single roller or more than two rollers.
Fig. 8 and 9 show the effect of treating the web structure of the fabric with at least one roll.
The fabric 15 is advantageously made in a single piece by knitting.
In a variant not shown, the fabric is a woven (woven) or non-woven (non-woven).
The mesh structure visible in fig. 8 is the mesh structure of the fabric before treatment. It can be seen that the web structure is regular, structured over all zones Z.
In the example of fig. 9, the same fabric has been treated (in this example, calendered) and a fabric 15 for forming an article according to the invention is formed. It can be seen that the web structure has been deformed-is no longer regular-with, for example, zone Z1Zone Z2Zone Z3As if crushed, without openings, while other zones (e.g. zone Z)4) The spacing is larger with openings. Thus, the surface 17 is not uniform for the passage of the composition. Its permeability is also low.
In fig. 1, at least after the first use, the fabric 15 is contacted with a cosmetic composition.
In the example of fig. 10, the fabric 15 is fixed to the base structure 35 by adhesive bonding, which in this example is constituted at least at the time of use by a sponge or a cellular porous block of material containing the cosmetic composition C. In this example, the surface 17 of the fabric lacks embossments, and treatment with at least one roll produces no embossments.
The present invention is not limited to a cosmetic article 1 in contact with the composition in the reservoir.
In particular, the variants shown in fig. 11 and 12 show a cosmetic article 1 with a fabric 15, the fabric 15 being covered with, for example, a sponge (not visible in the figures) to form a cosmetic composition applicator not impregnated with a composition. The applicator is used to pick up the composition from a surface carrying the product or a cake of product and to apply the composition while held in the hand or, in a variant, to soften the composition when it is used in a different way.
The applicator of fig. 11 is fully flexible. The applicator of fig. 12 comprises an end piece 28, which end piece 28 is covered with a fabric 15 and is fixed to a rigid or semi-rigid gripping member 29, which in this example forms a rod.
Also, the fabric 15 of the applicator of fig. 11 has been printed with the letter "OLE".
The fabric 15 may or may not include openings that are independent of the openings of the web structure of the fabric and have larger dimensions.
