が、中実材でも使用可能である。中空材を用いた
場合には、扁平加工が容易であり、扁平部２が適
度の厚さと面積とになる為、実施例では中空材を
使用している。扁平部２には適当な位置に１本ま
たは２本以上の溝３がプレス成形されていて、扁
平部２の柔軟性を増加させてある。扁平部２には
綿が巻付けられて内部綿層４が形成される。綿の
巻き付け方式は綿棒の製造の場合と同様である。
ただ、芯が扁平である為、巻き付けられた綿層４
の外形も扁平状となる。５は外部布層で、婦人用
ストツキング地のような薄くて、弾力性に富み、
且つ、布地面に多数の空隙を有するような編製布
帛が用いられている。なお、同様の性質を有する
ものであれば、織物でも、また不織布でも使用可
能である。布の素材繊維には、合成繊維でも、動
植物性の繊維でもよく、全く自由である。この布
は内部綿層４の外面に通常２〜５重程度に巻き付
けられ、巻端は糊などで固着される。

と強度とを有し、塗り易くて、綿繊維の抜け出し
がない。また、外面が空隙の多い布層５になつて
いるので、化粧料（粉体）の付着性とその保持力
が適当で、塗布時の肌への化粧料の乗りや延しの
特性がよく、非常に使い易い。更に、本考案では
綿と布とによつて、塗布部を形成するので、従来
の毛や発泡合成樹脂を用いたものに比べて、素材
の原料コストが低い上に、芯材への付着も本考案
では単に巻き付けだけであるから、製造コストが
低く、最終的な製品価格では従来品に比べてはる
かに安く、従つて、使い捨て用として好適であ
る。なお、本考案の塗布具は粉体の化粧料、特に
アイシヤドー用として最適である。また、芯材の
扁平部に溝を形成することにより、芯材が適度の
柔軟性を有するようになるので、一層使い易く、
且つ、肌への刺激が少なくなつて、使用感が良く
