Abstract

Background
In the modern communication industry, the market demand of products such as mobile phones, televisions, flat panels, notebooks, digital cameras and the like is increasing, and various display devices are developing to be larger in size and bendable. The Pad-bundling technology is one of the key technologies for realizing a narrow frame of a flexible Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display panel. The technology realizes a narrow frame by folding a bending area part of a terminal area of a display panel to the back of the display panel at a certain angle and a certain radius.
Medium size products (8-20 inches) and large size products (over 20 inches) typically require the design of multiple drive elements. In this embodiment, the plurality of first terminal areas 212 are disposed on the same side of the display area 211, and two adjacent first terminal areas 212 are disposed at an interval. In this embodiment, the display area 211 is rectangular, the display area 211 includes four sides, the first terminal areas 212 are all disposed on the same side of the display area 211, one end of the signal trace is connected to the thin film transistor in the display area 211, and the other end of the signal trace is connected to the first terminal area 212 on the same side of the display area 211, that is, only one side of the display area 211 is disposed with the first terminal area 212, and at least two first terminal areas 212 are disposed at intervals. At this time, orthographic projections of the plurality of first terminal areas 212 on the flexible display panel 21 do not overlap with each other, and a certain distance is maintained between the plurality of first terminal areas 212, and the distances may be equal or unequal, which is not limited herein. In another embodiment of the present invention, the plurality of first terminal areas 212 are disposed on different sides of the display area 211, and at least two sides of the display area 211 are connected to the first terminal areas 212. On the basis of the above embodiment, the flexible display device further includes a plurality of second terminal areas 213, and each of the second terminal areas 213 is connected to the binding area 212b of a corresponding first terminal area 212; each of the first terminal areas 212 is provided with at least one driving element 22 and a driving terminal electrically connected to the driving element 22, each of the second terminal areas 213 is provided with at least one flexible circuit board and a circuit board terminal electrically connected to the flexible circuit board, and each of the circuit board terminals is electrically connected to a corresponding one of the driving terminals.

In another specific embodiment of the present invention, when a plurality of the driving elements 22 are disposed on the first terminal area 212, the first terminal area 212 further includes two testing regions 212d and a plurality of signal input regions 212c disposed between the two testing regions 212d, and each of the signal input regions 212c is electrically connected to two of the testing regions 212d respectively. In this embodiment, as shown in fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic circuit diagram of a display device according to another embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the critical dimension of the first terminal area 212 is within the optimum bending range, the width is not too wide, and the pitch is not too small, so that the first terminal area 212 has sufficient strength and space for bending process.

8. The flexible display device of claim 4, wherein the number of first terminal areas is less than the number of second terminal areas, and a plurality of second terminal areas are connected to at least one first terminal area.
