Disclosure of Invention
Technical problem to be solved by the invention
In the lower guard device in which the corner of the outer end of the guard main body in the vehicle width direction is exposed to the outside, as in the front lower guard device (lower guard device) described in patent document 1, a cover may be attached to the outer end of the guard main body in the vehicle width direction in order to prevent pedestrians, other vehicles, and the like from coming into contact with the corner of the outer end of the guard main body in the vehicle width direction. However, in the case where the through hole (clip insertion hole or the like) for attaching the cover is formed at the vehicle width direction outer end portion of the lateral wall (upper plate portion and lower plate portion) of the protector main body, in this portion, the upper plate portion and lower plate portion of one protection sheet and the upper plate portion and lower plate portion of the other protection sheet overlap one another up and down to become thick, and thus it is difficult to form the through hole, and there is a possibility that the attachment operation of the cover becomes complicated.
Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a lower guard capable of improving operability of a cover mounting operation.
Technical means for solving the technical problems
In order to solve the above-described problem, the 1 st aspect of the present disclosure is a tubular lower guard extending in the vehicle width direction below an end portion on one side in the front-rear direction of a vehicle, including a 1 st member, a 2 nd member, and a cover. The 1 st member is formed to have a substantially C-shaped cross section having a pair of 1 st transverse plate portions facing each other in the up-down direction and a 1 st longitudinal plate portion extending in the up-down direction and connected to an end edge of the 1 st transverse plate portion, and extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction. The 2 nd member is formed to have a pair of 2 nd cross-plate portions facing each other in the up-down direction and a substantially C-shaped cross section of a 2 nd vertical plate portion extending in the up-down direction and connected to an end edge of the 2 nd cross-plate portion, extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction, and is fixed to the 1 st member in a state in which the 2 nd cross-plate portion is arranged between the 1 st cross-plate portion so that an open side of the substantially C-shaped cross-section of the 2 nd member and an open side of the substantially C-shaped cross-section of the 1 st member face each other. The cover covers the outer end portion in the vehicle width direction in a state where the 1 st member and the 2 nd member are fixed. The vehicle width direction outer end edge of one of the 1 st and 2 nd cross plate portions is located further inward in the vehicle width direction than the vehicle width direction outer end edge of the other of the 1 st and 2 nd cross plate portions. In a region of the other of the 1 st cross plate portion and the 2 nd cross plate portion, which protrudes outward in the vehicle width direction than the one of the 1 st cross plate portion and the 2 nd cross plate portion, a through hole for attaching the cover is formed.
In the above-described structure, the vehicle width direction outer end edge of one of the 1 st cross plate portion of the 1 st member and the 2 nd cross plate portion of the 2 nd member is located further inward in the vehicle width direction than the vehicle width direction outer end edge of the other of the 1 st cross plate portion of the 1 st member and the 2 nd cross plate portion of the 2 nd member. In the region protruding outward in the vehicle width direction from the vehicle width direction outer end edge of the other of the 1 st cross plate portion and the 2 nd cross plate portion, a through hole for fixing the cover is formed. In this way, since the through hole is formed in the region protruding outward in the vehicle width direction from the outer end edge in the vehicle width direction of the other of the 1 st cross plate portion and the 2 nd cross plate portion, the through hole can be easily formed and the operability of the cover attachment operation can be improved as compared with the case where the through hole is formed in the region where the 1 st cross plate portion and the 2 nd cross plate portion overlap up and down.
A 2 nd aspect of the present disclosure is the lower guard of the 1 st aspect, wherein the member having the other is arranged on the one side in the front-rear direction of the member having the one.
In the above configuration, the member having the other is disposed on one side in the front-rear direction. That is, in the case of the front lower guard, the member (the member having the other) longer outward in the vehicle width direction of the 1 st member and the 2 nd member is disposed on the front side (the rear side in the case of the rear lower guard), so that when the vehicle is viewed from the front (the rear in the case of the rear lower guard), it is difficult to see the shorter member (the member having the one) and the reduction in the aesthetic appearance of the lower guard can be suppressed.
A 3 rd aspect of the present disclosure is the lower guard of the 1 st or 2 nd aspect, wherein the 1 st member is arranged on the one side in the front-rear direction of the 2 nd member.
In the above configuration, the 1 st member is disposed on one side of the 2 nd member in the front-rear direction. That is, in the case of the front lower guard, the 1 st member having the 1 st cross plate portion covering the 2 nd member from the up-down direction is disposed on the front side (rear side in the case of the rear lower guard), so that when the vehicle is viewed from the front (rear in the case of the rear lower guard), the rear end edge (front end edge in the case of the rear lower guard) of the 1 st cross plate portion is difficult to see, and thus, a reduction in the aesthetic appearance of the lower guard can be suppressed.
Effects of the invention
According to the present disclosure, operability of the mounting operation of the cover can be improved.

Detailed Description
An embodiment of the present disclosure will be described below based on the drawings. IN each of the drawings, FR represents the front of the vehicle, UP represents the upper side, and IN represents the vehicle width direction inner side. In the following description, the front-rear direction means the front-rear direction of the vehicle, and the left-right direction means the left-right direction in a state of being directed toward the front of the vehicle.
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the vehicle 1 of the present embodiment is a flathead type truck in which a cab 2 is located substantially above an engine (not shown), and includes a tubular front lower guard (lower guard) 10 (hereinafter, referred to as FUP 10) extending in the vehicle width direction below a front end portion (an end portion on one side in the front-rear direction) of the vehicle 1. The FUP10 is fixed to the front end portion of the body frame 3 of the vehicle 1 via a pair of left and right brackets 4, and prevents other vehicles from penetrating under the cab 2 when the vehicle 1 collides with the other vehicles.
As shown in fig. 2 to 6, the FUP10 includes: 1 st member (member having the other) 11 which is a groove-shaped material having a substantially C-shaped cross section; a 2 nd member (member having one) 12 which is a groove-shaped material having a substantially C-shaped cross section; and a pair of right and left covers 13. The 1 st member 11 and the 2 nd member 12 are fixed to each other in a state where the open sides of the substantially C-shaped cross sections face each other in the front-rear direction. In the present embodiment, the 1 st member 11 having a large length (longer length in the vertical direction) is disposed on the front side, and the 2 nd member 12 having a small length (shorter length in the vertical direction) is disposed on the rear side of the 1 st member 11. The FUP10 is formed by the 1 st member 11 and the 2 nd member 12 in a rectangular tubular shape elongated in the vehicle width direction, thereby defining an inner space 14 inside. Both sides of the inner space 14 in the vehicle width direction are closed by left and right covers 13. Since the left and right covers 13 are symmetrically provided on the left and right sides of the FUP10 and have substantially the same configuration, only the left side will be described below, and the right side will be omitted.
The 1 st member 11 has: an upper plate portion (1 st cross plate portion) 15 that extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction in a state of intersecting the up-down direction; a lower plate portion (1 st cross plate portion) 16 that extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction at a position separated downward from the upper plate portion 15 in a state of intersecting the up-down direction and faces the upper plate portion 15; and a front plate portion (1 st vertical plate portion) 17 that extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction in a state of intersecting the front-rear direction and connects the front end edges of the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 to each other. That is, the 1 st member 11 is formed in a substantially C-shaped cross section by the upper plate portion 15, the lower plate portion 16, and the front plate portion 17 so as to open rearward, and extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction. The lengths of the upper plate portion 15, the lower plate portion 16, and the front plate portion 17 in the vehicle width direction are the same as each other. The length of the 1 st member 11 in the vehicle width direction (the length of the upper plate portion 15, the lower plate portion 16, and the front plate portion 17 in the vehicle width direction) is shorter than the length of the cab 2 in the vehicle width direction, and is set to a length that can secure a function as the FUP10 (a function of preventing penetration of other vehicles). The upper plate portion 15 defines an upper portion of the interior space 14 of the FUP10, the lower plate portion 16 defines a lower portion of the interior space 14 of the FUP10, and the front plate portion 17 defines a front portion of the interior space 14 of the FUP 10. Clip insertion holes (through holes) 18 penetrating in the up-down direction are formed in the vehicle width direction outer end portions of the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16, respectively.
The 2 nd member 12 has: an upper plate portion (2 nd cross plate portion) 19 that extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction in a state of intersecting the up-down direction; a lower plate portion (2 nd cross plate portion) 20 extending in a long manner in the vehicle width direction at a position separated downward from the upper plate portion 19 in a state crossing the up-down direction and facing the upper plate portion 19; and a rear plate portion (2 nd vertical plate portion) 21 that extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction in a state of intersecting the front-rear direction, and connects rear end edges of the upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 to each other. That is, the 2 nd member 12 is formed into a substantially C-shaped cross section so as to be opened forward by the upper plate portion 19, the lower plate portion 20, and the rear plate portion 21, and extends in a long manner in the vehicle width direction. The lengths of the upper plate portion 19, the lower plate portion 20, and the rear plate portion 21 of the 2 nd member 12 in the vehicle width direction are the same as each other. The length of the 2 nd member 12 in the vehicle width direction (the length of the upper plate portion 19, the lower plate portion 20, and the rear plate portion 21 of the 2 nd member 12 in the vehicle width direction) is shorter than the length of the 1 st member 11 in the vehicle width direction. The length of the rear plate portion 21 of the 2 nd member 12 in the up-down direction is slightly shorter than the length of the front plate portion 17 of the 1 st member 11 in the up-down direction. The upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 of the 2 nd member 12 are arranged between the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11. The rear end edges 25 of the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11 are fixed to the upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 of the 2 nd member 12 by welding in a state where the upper plate portion 19 of the 2 nd member 12 is in surface contact with the lower surface of the upper plate portion 15 of the 1 st member 11 and the lower plate portion 20 of the 2 nd member 12 is in surface contact with the upper surface of the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11. In a state where the 1 st member 11 and the 2 nd member 12 are fixed, the vehicle width direction outer end edge 22 of the 2 nd member 12 is located further inward in the vehicle width direction than the vehicle width direction outer end edge 23 of the 1 st member 11. The upper plate portion 19 of the 2 nd member 12 defines an upper portion of the interior space 14 of the FUP10, the lower plate portion 20 defines a lower portion of the interior space 14 of the FUP10, and the rear plate portion 21 defines a rear portion of the interior space 14 of the FUP 10. The clip insertion hole 18 of the 1 st member 11 is formed in a region 24 in the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11, and the region 24 protrudes outward in the vehicle width direction than the vehicle width direction outer end edges 22 of the upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 of the 2 nd member 12.
The cover 13 is a rectangular tubular member having a bottom and defining a space in which outer ends in the vehicle width direction of the 1 st member 11 and the 2 nd member 12, which are mutually fixed, are inserted, and has a cover outer plate portion 26 on the outer side in the vehicle width direction, a cover upper plate portion 27 on the upper side, a cover lower plate portion 28 on the lower side, a cover front plate portion 29 on the front side, and a cover rear plate portion 30 on the rear side. Clip insertion holes 31 penetrating in the up-down direction are formed in the cover upper plate portion 27 and the cover lower plate portion 28, respectively. In a state where the outer ends in the vehicle width direction of the 1 st member 11 and the 2 nd member 12 are inserted into the space inside the cover 13, the clip insertion holes 31 of the cover upper plate portion 27 and the cover lower plate portion 28 are formed at positions communicating with the clip insertion holes 18 of the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11. The cover 13 is attached to the vehicle width direction outer end portion of the 1 st member 11 by inserting the clip 32 into the clip insertion holes 18, 31 in a state where the vehicle width direction outer end portions of the 1 st member 11 and the 2 nd member 12 are inserted into the space inside the cover 13. The length of the cover 13 in the vehicle width direction is set as: in a state where the cover 13 is attached to the vehicle width direction outer end portion of the 1 st member 11, the vehicle width direction inner end 33 of the cover rear plate portion 30 is located further inward in the vehicle width direction than the vehicle width direction outer end edge 22 of the 2 nd member 12. The cover 13 closes the inner space 14 of the FUP10 from the vehicle width direction outside in a state of covering the corners (edges) of the vehicle width direction outer end edges 23, 22 of the 1 st member 11 and the 2 nd member 12.
In the FUP10 configured as described above, the clip insertion hole 18 of the 1 st member 11 is formed in the region 24 in the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11, and the region 24 protrudes outward in the vehicle width direction than the vehicle width direction outer end edges 22 of the upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 of the 2 nd member 12. That is, the clip insertion hole 18 is formed in the region 24 of the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11 that does not overlap with the upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 of the 2 nd member 12. Therefore, the clip insertion holes 18 can be easily formed as compared with the case where the clip insertion holes are formed in the region where the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11 overlap the upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 of the 2 nd member 12, so that the operability of the mounting operation of the cover 13 can be improved.
The 1 st member 11 is disposed on the front side, and the 2 nd member 12 is disposed on the rear side of the 1 st member 11, and the length of the 2 nd member 12 in the vehicle width direction is shorter than that of the 1 st member 11. That is, since the 1 st member 11, which is a member long in the vehicle width direction, is disposed on the front side, it is difficult to see the 2 nd member 12, which is a member short when the vehicle 1 is viewed from the front, and it is possible to suppress a reduction in the aesthetic appearance of the FUP 10.
The 1 st member 11 is disposed on the front side, the 2 nd member 12 is disposed on the rear side of the 1 st member 11, and the upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 of the 2 nd member 12 are disposed between the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11. That is, since the 1 st member 11 having the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 arranged on the outer side (upper side on the upper surface side of the FUP10 and lower side on the lower surface side) is arranged on the front side, it is difficult to see the welded portion of the rear end edges 25 of the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 of the 1 st member 11 from the front when the vehicle 1 is viewed from the front, and thus it is possible to suppress a reduction in the aesthetic appearance of the FUP 10.
In the present embodiment, the 1 st member 11 having the upper plate portion 15 and the lower plate portion 16 disposed outside (on the upper surface side of the FUP10, on the lower surface side), is disposed on the front side (hereinafter, simply referred to as the 1 st member 11 disposed outside), and the 2 nd member 12 having the upper plate portion 19 and the lower plate portion 20 disposed inside (on the upper surface side of the FUP10, on the upper surface side), is disposed on the rear side (hereinafter, simply referred to as the 2 nd member 12 disposed inside), but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the 1 st member 11, which is the larger one disposed outside (the longer one in the vertical direction), may be disposed on the rear side, and the 2 nd member 12, which is the smaller one disposed inside (the shorter one in the vertical direction), may be disposed on the front side.
In the present embodiment, the 1 st member 11, which is one having a longer length in the vehicle width direction, is disposed on the front side, and the 2 nd member 12, which is one having a shorter length in the vehicle width direction, is disposed on the rear side, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the 1 st member 11, which is one having a longer length in the vehicle width direction, may be disposed on the rear side, and the 2 nd member 12, which is one having a shorter length in the vehicle width direction, may be disposed on the front side.
In the present embodiment, the 2 nd member 12, which is the smaller one (the shorter one in the vertical direction), is formed to be shorter than the 1 st member 11, which is the larger one in the vehicle width direction (the longer one in the vertical direction), and the clip insertion hole 18 is formed at the vehicle width direction outer end portion of the 1 st member 11, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the 1 st member 11, which is one having a longer length in the up-down direction, may be formed to be shorter than the 2 nd member 12, which is one having a shorter length in the vehicle width direction, and the clip insertion hole (through hole) may be formed in a region of the 2 nd member 12 protruding outward in the vehicle width direction than the 1 st member 11.
In the present embodiment, the cover 13 is provided in the shape of a rectangular cylinder with a bottom, but the shape of the cover 13 is not limited to this.
In the present embodiment, the cover 13 is attached to the vehicle width direction outer end portion of the 1 st member 11 by the clip 32, but the present invention is not limited to this, and may be attached by bolts, for example. In this case, a bolt insertion hole (through hole) may be formed in the vehicle width direction outer end portion of the 1 st member 11.
In the present embodiment, the lower guard of the present disclosure is applied to the FUP10 extending in the vehicle width direction below the front end portion of the vehicle 1, but is not limited thereto, and may be applied to a rear lower guard (lower guard) 40 (see fig. 1) extending in the vehicle width direction below the rear end portion (one end portion in the front-rear direction) of the vehicle 1. In this case, the rear side is one side in the front-rear direction, and the front side is the other side in the front-rear direction.
Although the present disclosure has been described based on the above embodiments, the present disclosure is not limited to the content of the above embodiments, and can be appropriately modified without departing from the scope of the present disclosure. That is, other embodiments, examples, application techniques, etc. which are completed based on the present embodiment by those skilled in the art are of course all included in the scope of the present disclosure.
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the lower guard of the present disclosure is applied to a truck, but may be applied to a vehicle other than a truck.
