Description

模制牙刷的方法及使用此方法的装置
本发明涉及一种模制牙刷的方法,并涉及使用此方法的装置。
用刷丝簇或硬毛装入刷体头部模制牙刷,在喷注步骤中存在一具体问题。可相对运动的模具之一具有一刷头限定型腔部,该型腔部具有数个孔,以分别穿入型腔部,孔的数目与刷丝簇的数量相同。由于加热后的增塑模制材料的黏度,和由于喷注时在模型型腔内的压力,泄漏很可能经过刷头限定型腔部的孔发生。已作过多种努力避免这种泄漏。这些努力之一,正如在EP 0 676 268A1中所公开的,是在每一刷丝簇的端部制成一种熔融材料的头部,当喷注增塑材料时,拉动这些头部,使其贴靠在刷头限定型腔部限定相应孔的边缘。另一种努力(DE 38 32 520A1)是将钉同轴地引入每一刷丝簇,以促进硬毛径向向外贴靠孔的侧壁。然而,这些努力中没有一种在可靠地避免任何泄漏上是成功的。
本发明从这样的观念着手,避免这种泄漏的唯一方法是在喷注时精确控制模具型腔内的压力。根据本发明,所使用模具具有可相对运动的模具部,该模具部限定至少一对应于刷体形状的型腔。模具部之一具有一刷头部限定型腔部,该型腔部具有与刷丝簇数量相同的数个孔,用于分别穿入型腔部。本发明的方法包括如下步骤;提供增塑模注材料的供料;在压力下将增塑材料喷注入型腔;在喷注步骤中传感型腔内的压力;当型腔内的压力超过预定压力值时停止喷注。尽管通常模具设有压力传感器和压力调节装置,本发明推荐在喷注步骤中就在型腔内传感压力,在推荐实施例中,就在对应于刷头部的狭长型腔的一端传感压力。在推荐实施例中,模注材料的喷注是通过一狭窄喷注通道进行的,该通道在型腔传感压力的相反一端开口,而停止喷注是由在邻近型腔处突然堵塞流经通道的材料流实现的。
在本发明方法的推荐实施例中,数个牙刷同时在数个型腔内模制,而压力是从每一型腔传感。在每一型腔内停止喷注是由该型腔所传感的压力所控制。尽管具有数个相同型腔的模具通常设有一平衡管路系统,由于制造公差和模注参数诸如黏度和温度的波动,在每一型腔保持一致的压力不可能实现。借助于每一型腔的传感压力和单独控制对应于每一型腔的阀元件,根据该型腔的传感压力,可使各型腔达到一致的压力状态。
型腔的模注材料突然停止供料的预定压力水平,必须选择为低于开始产生泄漏的压力值。适宜的压力水平将取决于模注材料的性质和模型的特征。这可由实验确定。
本发明并不局限于刷体由单一模注材料模制的方法。相反,一种第一模注材料可在第一喷注步骤喷注,以形成装有刷丝簇的刷骨架,而至少另一种模注材料成分在第二模注步骤完成牙刷制造。
在本发明中所说明的一种精确压力控制,只在第一喷注步骤中需要。不过,如果第二种成分也嵌入(部分)牙刷的簇部,或如果第二成分进入刷的附近(例如用于在牙刷头部具有第二成分特征的牙刷),可能需要第二控制系统。
本发明还提供一种装置以实施此方法。此装置包括一模具,模具具有可相对运动的模具部,限定对应于牙刷体部形状的至少一模注型腔。型腔具有刷头限定型腔部,该型腔具有与刷丝簇数量相同的数个孔,分别穿入所述型腔部。此装置还包括增塑和增压供料部件。一狭窄供料通道,将所述型腔与所述供料部件连通。压力传感器对应于所述型腔设置。阀元件设置在邻近所述型腔处,适于堵塞所述供料通道。控制部件,根据在所述型腔内的所述压力传感器所传感的压力控制所述阀元件。在装置的推荐实施例中,模具包括数个相同的型腔,供料部件包括一具有数个供料通道的管路,每一供料通道与一型腔连通,每一供料通道具有一相应的阀元件。最好,每一阀元件由控制部件根据相应型腔所传感的压力单独控制。

图1所示装置包括一传统增塑和增压供料部件,该部件具有缸10、柱塞12和模具,该模具具有第一、静止模14和第二、可动模16。缸10中充填以热塑模注材料粒,该材料粒在缸内通过机械的和热处理的综合作用增塑。模具由管路系统18与缸10连通。
模具14、16通常限定一型腔,此型腔具有牙刷体的细长形状。一狭长的供料通道22从型腔20的一端延伸,经过静止模14,连接至管路系统18。在型腔20的相反一端,相当于牙刷头处,可动模具具有数个孔24用于引入刷丝簇,刷丝簇的端部略微突出在型腔20内。压力传感线路26连接至型腔20的同一端。压力传感线路26连接至控制器28的输入。阀元件32构成一具有可动开关34的闸阀,设置在邻近型腔20开口的供料通道22末端,因此,供料通道22可被有选择地关闭。液压控制部件30具有:一输入,该输入通过信号线29连接至控制器28;和一输出,该输出通过控制线33连接至阀元件32。
在运行中,在一组刷丝簇已穿过可动模具16中的孔24被引入后,增塑的模注材料由供料部件经过管路18和供料通道22供入型腔20。当模注材料喷注入型腔20时,型腔内的压力是在控制部件28的监控下。更具体说,在对应于牙刷头部的型腔端部压力,即型腔20内压力最具关键性的部位的压力被传感器感知。当在型腔20的该部的压力达到预定压力值时,控制信号从控制部件28送往液压控制部件30,液压控制部件随即控制阀元件32以立即堵塞流向型腔20的模注材料流。预定压力值选为略低于模注材料开始经过孔24泄漏的压力值。模注材料开始产生泄漏的压力值取决于模注材料的性质和其它模注参数,这可根据实验确定。
图3所示实施例总体类似于图1所示实施例,其区别仅在于设有数个相同的模型型腔20a、20b,这些型腔均连接至公共的管路系统18,每一型腔通过具有相应阀元件32的分离供料通道22供料。每一型腔20a、20b具有对应于牙刷头部的型腔部,该型腔部通过相应的传感线路26连接至控制部件20a。液压控制部件30连接至每一阀元件32。尽管在图3中所示出为两型腔20a、20b,许多类似的型腔可设置成两排或多排,在一封闭的空间内,每一排成平行关系。
在装置运行中,各型腔内的压力在喷注时受到监控,全部各型腔的阀元件根据相应型腔内的传感压力单独控制。如果管路系统18是平衡的,以及整个模具的温度控制足够精确,各型腔的预定的压力值可以相同。反之,可为每一型腔确定一组预定压力值。
尽管图中示出压力传感线路26,压力传感器可设置在紧邻模具型腔处,而压力传感线路可为一电缆。虽然推荐在对应于牙刷头部的型腔部传感型腔内的压力,也可在型腔的其它部位传感压力。
最后,需要指出,阀元件可不用液压装置控制,例如用机械的、磁力的和气动的装置控制。

Claims (11)

1.一种模制牙刷的方法,该方法使用一种模具,该模具具有可相对运动的模具部(14,16),限定至少一对应于牙刷体部形状的模塑型腔(20),模具部之一(16)具有刷头限定型腔部,该型腔部具有与刷丝簇数量相同的数个孔(24),分别穿入所述型腔部,
该方法包括下列步骤:
-提供增塑模注材料的供料;
-在压力下将所述增塑材料喷注入所述型腔(20);
-在喷注步骤中传感所述型腔内的压力,并且由一控制单元监测所述压力;
-当所述型腔内的压力超过预定压力值时,根据所述控制单元所产生的信号停止喷注。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,模注材料的喷注是从所述型腔(20)的第一纵向端进行,而压力是在所述型腔的第二、相反的纵向端传感。
3.如权利要求2所述的方法,其中,压力是在刷头限定型腔部内传感。
4.如权利要求1至3其中之一所述的方法,其中,模注材料的喷注是通过一狭窄喷注通道(22)进行,停止喷注是通过在邻近所述型腔的所述通道(22)部位突然堵塞材料流而实现的。
5.如权利要求1至3其中之一所述的方法,其中,所述预定压力值,选择为低于模注材料通过在刷头限定型腔部的所述孔(24)泄漏时的压力值。
