A glove box cover comprises a cover body and a box lock mechanism arranged on the cover body, and is characterized in that the box lock mechanism comprises a lock tongue (1), a flexible rope (2) and an actuating device, wherein the flexible rope (2) is detachably connected with the lock tongue (1) and the actuating device so that the lock tongue (1) can move between a locking position and an unlocking position by operating the actuating device, the lock tongue (1) can limit relative movement between the cover body and the glove box body at the locking position, and the lock tongue (1) can release the limit of the relative movement between the cover body and the glove box body at the unlocking position.
2. Glove box cover according to claim 1, characterized in that the locking tongue (1) is provided with a stop (13) to limit the movement of the locking tongue (1) beyond the unlocked position in the direction from the unlocked position to the locked position.

Glove box cover according to claim 1, characterized in that said actuation means comprise a slider (31), said flexible cord (2) being connected to said slider (31), and said slider (31) being in sliding engagement with a sliding track (32) or chute provided on said cover, so as to be able to move between a first position and a second position, wherein said bolt (1) is in said blocking position when said slider (31) is in said first position, and said bolt (1) is in said unblocking position when said slider (31) is in said second position.

Glove box cover according to claim 3, wherein said actuation means comprise a catch (33), the catch (33) being hinged to said cover, said catch (33) being provided with an actuation boss (331), the actuation boss (331) cooperating with said slider (31) to enable said slider (31) to move towards said second position when said catch (33) is rotated about its hinging axis in a first direction.

Glove box cover according to claim 3 or 4, characterized in that said actuation means comprise a return element (34) providing an elastic force, said return element (34) being connected at one end to said cover and at the other end to said bolt (1) to push said bolt (1) towards said locking position by said elastic force.
6. Glove compartment cover according to claim 5, wherein the sliding track (32) or sliding slot is provided with a stop (321) to limit the further movement of the slider (31) beyond the first position in the direction from the second position to the first position.
