背景技术
大多数触摸屏通过电子检测来工作。触摸屏则由导电电极的行和列的阵列组成。触摸检测是通过将电信号注入行和列的阵列中并测量由用户的一个或多个手指与触摸屏接触引起的输出信号变化来实现的。应当注意,在本文的其余部分中,用于指代包括触摸表面的设备的术语触摸板和触摸屏可以互换使用。
在许多应用中,触摸屏被布置在观看设备上以对其进行控制。因此,电极阵列应当尽可能不显眼,以免干扰显示的图像。
即使不透明金属电极非常薄,其使用也会产生光学伪像,并且它们不容易用于蚀刻工艺,这使得它们更加昂贵。举例来说,参考“微网(micromesh)”或基于银或碳的材料的使用。此外,通常使用透明材料来制造电极以限制这些问题。
透明材料的使用通常不太适合于模拟测量,所述模拟测量对由所用材料的电阻率引起的衰减较敏感。事实上,透明材料的电阻率比金属高得多。例如,铟锡氧化物(IndiumTin Oxide,缩写为ITO)表现出良好的透明性,但具有约为每平方50欧姆的中电阻率。
在触摸屏的情况下,寻求的是由若干毫微微法拉的电容变化引起的信号,这需要在约为几百kHz的高频下进行测量。
当该行是电阻性的时,该测量根据测量点的位置而变化。此外,如果在透明行的末端测量此变化,则该行的电阻和信号衰减最大,由要测量的电容C和该行的电阻R形成一阶RC滤波器。
因此,灵敏度随着距信号注入点的距离增加而沿着相同的列或相同的行减小。触摸板不再是同样敏感的。灵敏度的这种损失可能具有严重的后果,例如当用户的手戴手套时导致错过检测。
为了部分减少这种不便,优选将信号注入最短的电极中,触摸板通常是矩形的。
为了解决该问题,第一种解决方案包括通过增加ITO层的厚度来降低其电阻率,但是这也降低了触摸屏的透明度。
第二种解决方案包括在相同行的两侧注入测量信号。此外,在该行的两端布置强信号。
然而,这种两侧注入的解决方案仅转移了问题。板中间(这是最常用的区域)的灵敏度保持较低。此外,在屏幕中央的这种低灵敏度对于大尺寸的屏幕来说更糟。
最后,这种双重注入还将访问轨道或轨迹的数量加倍,并将连接加倍。
这些不同不便导致增加触摸板的价格,增加其边框的尺寸以及降低其可靠性,这大大降低了产品的竞争力和交付给用户的价值。
另外,测量原理也有影响。当前产品使用电荷转移方法,该方法包括测量一行的充电时间,该方法被称为“自模式”,或测量行/列交叉点的充电时间,该方法被称为“互模式”。
为了执行这种类型的测量,可以注入正弦信号,然后对它们进行幅度解调,幅度的变化与用户触摸产生的电容成正比。这种技术被称为“投射式电容触摸”。
发明内容
尽管集成到类型为“ASIC”(“专用集成电路”)的电子电路中要稍微复杂一些,但是频率解决方案具有一定数量的优点,如下所述:
-在电磁兼容性领域,这种正弦信号比方波信号污染少。如有必要,可以将发出的一些射线推出其他电子仪器的灵敏度范围之外。
-此外,利用同步解调进行的幅度测量可以提供相对较好的抗干扰能力。
然而,与被称为“现货(surétagère)”或“COTS”(“商用现货(Commercial-Off-The-Shelf)”)的标准控制器一起使用的技术相比,频率解决方案的巨大优势在于可以使用不同的信号频率。
该优点具有多种应用。以下专利描述了其中一些。
-标题为“具有多点触摸屏的电容式触摸设备”的专利FR 3009 099描述了一种触摸屏,该触摸屏包括两个并列的区域,每个区域使用不同的频率以避免干扰;

更具体地,在互模式下,对投射式电容触摸板上的按压的测量类似于电偶极子,其在其输入端接收被称为“驱动(Drive)”的正弦电信号,并在其输出端生成被称为“感测(Sense)”的调制电信号。

通过对输出信号进行幅度解调,获得代表按压的值。一般而言,偶极子等效于串联RC滤波器。对于给定的频率,信号的衰减随电阻R的值的增加而变强。然而,电阻的增加也会导致输出信号和输入信号之间的相移变化。
在互模式下,遇到具有相同性质的信号,但是幅度的衰减和相位滞后在触摸板的两个维度上变化。
根据本发明的信号检测基于该原理。为了减轻输出信号的衰减,其与按压的位置有关,不是简单地分析输出信号的幅度,而是分析混合函数,该混合函数结合了输出信号的幅度和相移,使得该混合函数在触摸板的行或列的整个长度上不变。

具体实施方式
根据本发明的触摸表面包括电极的行和列的阵列。对按压的测量是“投射式电容”型的。该测量以互模式工作。发送的信号的脉冲由ω表示。通常,与该脉冲相对应的频率在50kHz至1MHz之间。
作为非限制性示例,根据本发明的触摸板具有在400毫米至800毫米之间的对角线。电极阵列的节距通常在5毫米至7毫米之间。
例如,具有203毫米的高度和324毫米的长度的16∶10格式的触摸板具有30行和48列,其节距为7毫米。该触摸板的对角线约为400毫米。
图4示出了代表触摸板的按压区域的电子偶极子D。该偶极子D的输入信号是注入值VDRIVE(ω),并且输出信号是测量值VSENSE(ω)。该偶极子D的特征在于其传递函数HSENSE(ω)。
在图5中示出了输入信号和输出信号的幅度随时间的变化。在图5中,输入信号由实线表示,而输出信号由虚线表示。如图所示,输出信号的幅度ASENSE与输入信号的幅度ADRIVE不同,并且也被相移了相移因此,可以用具有以下形式的复表示法来表述传递函数HSENSE(ω): GSENSE表示对应于输入幅度与输出幅度之比的偶极子的增益,以及表示偶极子的相位。

在根据现有技术的设备中,对VSENSE的测量是通过所谓的电荷转移方法,通过测量电容C的充电时间来执行的。因此,仅测量偶极子的增益GSENSE。从等式3可以看出,如果电容C或电阻R为零,则增益等于1。
换言之,在行的开始,衰减为零,并且随着距触摸板边缘的距离增加,增益随电阻R的增加而减小。
根据本发明的触摸表面的用于测量的单元包括能够同时获得偶极子D的幅度和相位的装置。在行的开始,电阻为零,这导致了零相移。随着距行边缘的距离增加,电阻R的增加导致相位滞后。此外,与增益GSENSE随电阻R减小而不同,相移随电阻R而增加。
如果p表示阵列中将施加输入信号的第一点与测量信号的第二点分开的节距的数值,这两个点之间的电阻由R(p)表示,则函数S应当满足以下等式1:
因此,可以通过实验来计算函数S。在第一种情况下,S可能是直接的加法,但板的性质和大小以及所用的测量频率以及寄生电容耦合通常意味着,在第二种情况下,函数S不是线性的。
此外,图7示出了,根据输入点与测量点之间距离的增益G、等于增益和相应相移之和的混合函数S、增益的噪声BG和混合函数S的噪声BS,增益G及其相关联的噪声BG用实线表示,并且混合函数S及其相关联的噪声BS用虚线表示。
如图7所示,以这种方式混合的信号不再沿行衰减。实际上,它甚至趋于增加。相反,噪声也会增加。因此,优选使用对噪声进行积分的非线性模型。
在沿着板按压的情况下,增益G和相移的变化类似于椭圆矢量的行为。如果表示极坐标为G和并且因此其附标(affixe)为复数的向量,则可以看出,在给定了相移的最大值的情况下,可以通过椭圆的起点很好地近似此矢量沿板的空间演变:图8示出了这种椭圆。水平箭头表示触摸板开始处的向量并且倾斜箭头表示触摸板末端的向量
椭圆长轴的长度由在板开始处达到的、增益G的最大值给出,并且其偏心率e通过沿板进行的测量来确定。
因此,触摸表面的用于计算的电子单元应当能够基于输出信号VSENSE(ω)的知识来提取其幅度和相位。根据这两项信息,可以计算出增益G,然后计算出混合函数S。
对于本领域技术人员而言,测量幅度和相位不会带来任何特定问题。举例来说,图10的框图示出了该提取功能单元的电子实施例。该电子功能单元包括:
-输出电压的模数转换器,其提供经采样的数字电压。该转换器未在图10中示出。采样的数量应覆盖脉冲ω的多个周期;
-以与电压VSENSE相同的脉冲ω发送的两个数字信号的发生器10,这两个信号是正交的。这些信号在图10中由函数Cos(ωt)和Sin(ωt)表示。

根据本发明的测量单元的优点是重要的。事实上,混合函数使得能够获得仅表示按压的信号,而不依赖于板的电阻分量。
此外,可以戴着手套使用触摸板的整个区域而不会遗漏按压检测。
通过避免寻址触摸板的两侧,该解决方案使得能够使用标准触摸板。它允许使用低成本的透明导电材料,例如ITO。
另外,混合使得能够以二次方的方式降低测量噪声,同时信号增加相位值,这提供了将信噪比提高6dB的可能性。
Claims (4)
