Description
Technical Field
Yuzhu, Yushen and Xiancao, the young seedlings and rootstock of Yuzhu, a perennial herb of Liliaceae, can be eaten. The compendium of materia Medica records: the yellow and white rhizome of polygonatum odoratum is sweet in taste, mild in nature and nontoxic. The traditional Chinese medicine composition has the effects of tonifying middle-jiao and Qi, relieving restlessness and stuffiness, relieving thirst, moistening heart and lung, tonifying consumptive diseases of five strains and seven impairments, eliminating chloasma after being taken for a long time, keeping bright appearance, moistening and lustering the face, making the body young and difficult to aim at the aged, and avoiding abstaining from food. The modern medicine proves that the polygonatum contains alkaloid, cardiotonic substances, mucus substances, spinanic acid and vitamin A substances, and has the effects of tonifying the five internal organs, nourishing qi and blood, tonifying and moistening, tonifying qi and promoting the production of body fluid, reducing blood sugar and moistening the skin.
The most important chemical component in Yuzhu is a saccharide component, which is also the focus of Yuzhu research in recent years. The rhizoma Polygonati Odorati polysaccharide is one of the main effective components of rhizoma Polygonati Odorati with pharmacological action, has general function of sugar, and has effects of lowering blood sugar, resisting aging, regulating blood lipid, resisting lipid peroxidation, and resisting tumor.
At present, the processing method of polygonatum odoratum mainly comprises the steps of removing impurities, cleaning, slightly moistening, slicing and drying, and the polysaccharide content and the alcohol-soluble extract content of the polygonatum odoratum processed by the traditional processing method are low, so that the loss of medicinal components in the polygonatum odoratum is caused, and the medicinal effect of the polygonatum odoratum is reduced. Therefore, it is highly desirable to provide a processing method for improving the polysaccharide content and alcohol-soluble extract of processed polygonatum odoratum.
