Abstract

Technical Field

Background
The existing procedure of sticking basketball on machine is to coat the vulcanized middle core of basketball with oily glue and then cut PU or PVC leather into eight pieces of basketball sticking pieces. And further placing the middle tire pasted with the basketball patch into a mold, and closing the upper mold and the lower mold. The existing machine-pasted basketball at least has the following defects in the production process:
basketball on the market today uses PU or PVC type of plastic leather that cannot accommodate the high temperatures of vulcanization. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the examples given herein without any inventive step, are within the scope of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1 to 3, in a preferred or alternative embodiment of the present invention, a method for manufacturing a ball at least includes the steps of:
s1, forming the ball skin patch, cutting the TPU leather into the shape of the ball skin patch to manufacture the TPU ball skin patch 1.
It should be noted that the TPU leather described in the above embodiments may be a single layer leather made of TPU material, or may be a multi-layer composite leather made of TPU material.
S2, adhering the TPU ball skin paster 1, placing the TPU ball skin paster 1 on a paster mold, then placing the middle tire in the mold, and pressurizing the middle tire to ensure that the TPU ball skin paster 1 is adhered on the middle tire.
In a preferred or alternative embodiment, the middle tire and the TPU ball skin patch 1 are adhered through oily glue.
Specifically, the TPU ball skin patch 1 is laid in a patch die, an upper die and a lower die in the patch die are covered, so that the TPU ball skin patch 1 is pasted on a middle tire, the middle tire pasted with the TPU ball skin patch 1 is taken out, and the pasting of the TPU ball skin patch 1 is completed.
As a preferred or alternative embodiment, the TPU cover patch 1 is adhered to the TPU foamed middle tire. Specifically, the middle tire layer in the TPU foamed middle tire is made of TPU foamed materials. The middle tire layer is made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) foam without vulcanizing the middle tire in the manufacturing process, so that twice vulcanizing in the ball manufacturing process is reduced to once vulcanizing, and harmful gas generated in the manufacturing process is reduced. Compared with the common middle tire, the TPU foamed middle tire has more excellent elasticity.
It should be noted that, the TPU is foamed into the thermoplastic material, so the influence of the environmental temperature and humidity during the process of foaming the TPU is small, and the stability of the product quality can be improved.
And S3, vulcanizing and forming, namely placing the middle tire adhered with the TPU ball skin patch 1 in a vulcanizing mold with a line, and remolding the TPU ball skin adhered on the middle tire through the vulcanizing mold with the line.
Preferably, the temperature for vulcanization molding in the above examples is 160 ℃. When the vulcanizing temperature reaches 160 ℃, one side of the TPU ball skin paster 1 close to the inner wall of the vulcanizing mold is in semi-liquidization, and because the TPU material has thermoplasticity, compared with PU or PVC ball skin in the prior art, the surface hardness of the TPU ball skin cannot be hardened due to the high temperature of 160 ℃, and is further suitable for high-temperature vulcanizing.
Referring to fig. 3, 4 and 12, as a preferred or alternative embodiment, the vulcanizing mold is provided with a forming groove on the inner wall, so that the surface of the TPU ball skin patch 1 attached to the inner wall of the vulcanizing mold is melted and injection-molded to form a surface with particles for enhancing hand feeling.
It should be noted that, referring to fig. 6, in the existing method for attaching a ball cover, grain lines for enhancing hand feeling are added on the surface of the ball cover, and then in the vulcanization process, the grains on the surface of the ball cover deform due to high temperature, thereby destroying the hand feeling on the surface of the ball cover. In addition, PU or PVC ball covers in the prior art do not have thermoplasticity, and the surface hardness of the ball covers is increased during vulcanization, so that the surface hand feeling is further reduced.
And S4, cooling and trimming, taking out the product, cooling and trimming the surface.
It should be noted that, in the prior art, when the PU or PVC ball skin is attached by machine, the unit time is 10min to 14min, and when the ball skin is attached by the above method, the unit time can be 5min to 7min, thereby shortening the manufacturing cycle of the ball.
As a further preferred or alternative embodiment of the present invention, the TPU cover sheet 1 cut into the shape of a basketball sheet is chamfered to reduce the thickness of the edge of the TPU cover sheet 1.
In the above embodiment, referring to fig. 5, after the TPU ball skin patch 1 is chamfered, the thickness of the edge portion is reduced, and the edge portion of the TPU ball skin patch 1 is in a hot-melt state during the vulcanization operation. Furthermore, when in vulcanization operation, the middle tire is internally pressurized, so that the middle tire is internally and externally extruded, the edge part of the TPU ball skin patch 1 is further promoted to permeate into the middle tire layer, and the ball can be split in the using process, so that the service life of the ball is prolonged.
It should be noted that, referring to fig. 7 and 11, the edge of the PU or PVC ball skin in the prior art is not melted when the ball skin is pasted on the machine, and then the PU or PVC ball skin in the prior art is pasted with the middle tire layer completely by the oil-based adhesive, and as the usage time increases, the edge of the PU or PVC ball skin is easy to peel, and the service life of the ball is shortened.
Referring to fig. 3, 9 and 10, in a preferred or alternative embodiment of the present invention, the TPU skin material includes at least an outer skin layer 2 and a cushion layer 3, the outer skin layer 2 and the cushion layer 3 are bonded to each other, the outer skin layer 2 is made of TPU, and the outer skin layer 2 is located on a side facing away from the middle tire.
In a preferred or alternative embodiment, the outer skin layer 2 has a thickness of 0.08mm to 0.1 mm. The buffer layer 3 has a thickness of 0.6mm to 0.4 mm.
Referring to fig. 9 and 10, as a preferred or alternative embodiment, the outer skin layer 2 and the buffer layer 3 are bonded by a toluene-resistant glue.
In a further preferred or alternative embodiment of the present invention, the buffer layer 3 may be made of any one of TPU foam, PU, PVC, EVA and TPE.
Referring to fig. 9 and 10, in a further preferred or alternative embodiment, the TPU skin further includes a reinforcing layer 4, and the reinforcing layer 4 is adhered to the surface of the cushioning layer 3 facing away from the outer skin layer 2.
Preferably, the reinforcing layer 4 is made of a nonwoven fabric or a nonwoven fabric. Further preferably, the thickness of the reinforcing layer 4 is 0.09mm to 0.1 mm.
Referring to fig. 8 to 10, in a further preferred or alternative embodiment, the TPU shell in any of the above examples can be made into a cover by the ball making process of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 12, in a preferred or alternative embodiment of the present invention, the inner wall of the vulcanizing mold 5 is provided with a forming groove, and the forming groove is matched with the surface texture of the ball skin.
In a preferred or alternative embodiment of the present invention, the shape of the forming groove on the inner wall of the vulcanizing mold 5 is adapted to the grain pattern of the ball skin surface for enhancing hand feeling, so that the surface of the ball skin is injection-molded with the grain pattern through the forming groove on the inner wall of the vulcanizing mold 5.
In a preferred or alternative embodiment, the vulcanization mold 5 described above is suitable for use in the method for manufacturing the ball according to the invention.
As a preferred or alternative embodiment of the present invention, the machine-attachable ball of the present invention is made by the method of making the ball described in any of the above embodiments.
As a preferred or alternative embodiment of the present invention, the machine-attachable ball of the present invention is made of the TPU leather described in any one of the above embodiments.
As a preferred or alternative embodiment of the invention, the edge of the TPU cover patch 1 penetrates into the carcass ply 6.
In the preferred embodiment, the edge of the TPU ball skin patch 1 penetrates into the middle tire layer 6 to effectively increase the stability between the ball skin and the middle tire, prevent the edge part of the ball skin from peeling, and further prolong the service life of the ball.

In a further preferred or alternative embodiment of the invention, the TPU cover patch 1 further comprises a reinforcing layer 4. Preferably, the reinforcing layer 4 is a nonwoven fabric and/or a nonwoven fabric.
In a further preferred or alternative embodiment of the invention, the middle layer 6 is made of TPU foam.

and (5) cooling and trimming, taking out the product, cooling and trimming the surface.
2. A method for manufacturing a ball according to claim 1, wherein the TPU cover sheet (1) cut out in the shape of a basketball hoop is chamfered so that the thickness of the edge of the TPU cover sheet (1) is reduced.
3. A method of making a ball as claimed in claim 1 wherein the temperature of the sulphurization is 160 ℃.
4. A TPU skin used in the process of any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the TPU skin comprises at least an outer skin layer (2) and a breaker layer (3), the outer skin layer (2) and the breaker layer (3) being bonded to each other, the outer skin layer (2) being made of TPU material.
5. TPU leather according to claim 4, characterized in that the cushioning layer (3) is made of any one of TPU foamed material, PU, PVC, EVA and TPE.
6. TPU leather according to claim 4, characterized in that the TPU leather further comprises a reinforcing layer (4), and the reinforcing layer (4) is adhered to the side of the cushioning layer (3) facing away from the outer skin layer (2).
7. A vulcanization mould for use in the method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the vulcanization mould (5) is provided with shaping grooves on its inner wall, which shaping grooves are adapted to the surface texture of the ball skin.
8. A machine-bonded ball wherein the cover is made by the method of any one of claims 1 to 3.
9. Machine-bonded ball according to claim 8, characterized in that the edge of the TPU ball skin patch (1) penetrates into the middle-ply (6).
10. Machine-pasted ball according to claim 9, characterized in that the middle-ply (6) is made of TPU foamed material.
