Abstract
The invention discloses a preservative for industrial xanthan gum and a preparation method thereof, wherein the preservative is prepared by the following steps of weighing 1-5% of potassium sorbate, 10-20% of BIT, 0.5-5% of IPBC and 0.1-1% of calcium disodium ethylene diamine tetraacetate according to a formula, adding laboratory third-level water, and fully stirring and dissolving to obtain the preservative for the industrial xanthan gum. The preservative has the advantages of small using amount and long quality guarantee period, can effectively inhibit the growth and the propagation of bacteria, mold and microzyme in the xanthan gum solution, and the xanthan gum solution added with the preservative can be widely applied to coatings, putty powder, multicolor paint, liquid fertilizer, pesticides and the like.

The invention relates to the technical field of thickener application, relates to industrial xanthan gum, and particularly relates to a preservative for industrial xanthan gum and a preparation method thereof.
Background
Xanthan gum is a microbial high-molecular polysaccharide with superior performance which integrates emulsification, thickening and suspension stability. Because it is in polyanion state in water solution, it can be dissolved in cold water and hot water; the conformation of the protein is diversified, different characteristics can be shown under different conditions, and the protein has unique physical and chemical properties, so that the protein is widely applied to multiple industries such as food, medicine, petroleum industry, cosmetics and the like. The xanthan gum is mainly divided into food grade xanthan gum and industrial grade xanthan gum, the national standard has no clear requirement on the microbiological index of the industrial grade xanthan gum, and the xanthan gum is microbial fermentation polysaccharide, is rich in nutrition, provides required nutrients for the growth and the propagation of microorganisms, and is extremely easy to be polluted by the microorganisms to cause the putrefaction when used in some non-sterilized products.
No preservative specially aiming at industrial xanthan gum exists in the market, and the existing preservative, namely, Ficus versicolor, has an unobvious inhibiting effect on xanthan gum spoilage microorganisms and even has peculiar smell.
The invention aims to provide an industrial xanthan gum preservative which can effectively inhibit the growth and reproduction of bacteria, mould and microzyme in an industrial xanthan gum solution, prevent the xanthan gum from being corrupted and deteriorated and has no influence on the service performance of the xanthan gum.

The invention aims to provide a preservative for industrial xanthan gum and a preparation method thereof, and solves the problem that the xanthan gum is easy to decay and deteriorate in the prior art.

The industrial-grade xanthan gum solution which is just dissolved is added according to the proportion of 1:100-200, so that the industrial-grade xanthan gum solution is fully and uniformly stirred and can be added into products such as paint, putty powder, multicolor paint, liquid fertilizer, pesticide and the like.
The invention has the advantages and effects that:
1. the industrial-grade xanthan gum preservative can effectively inhibit the growth and reproduction of bacteria, mold and microzyme in the xanthan gum solution. The using and adding amount is low, and the quality guarantee period is long.
2. The preservative has the advantages of easily available raw materials and no peculiar smell.
3. The xanthan gum solution added with the preservative can be widely applied to coatings, putty powder, multicolor paint, liquid fertilizer, pesticides and the like.

respectively weighing 3g of potassium sorbate, BIT10g, IPBC3g and 1g of calcium disodium ethylene diamine tetraacetate, adding 83g of laboratory third-level water, and fully stirring and dissolving to obtain the potassium sorbate.
Adding the dissolved industrial grade xanthan gum solution according to the proportion of 1:100, and fully and uniformly stirring.
