The applicant has developed many problems to be solved during the actual development of the rolled product, two problems being found as follows:
firstly, warping: since the surface of the flexible Cover plate (Cover Film) is coated with a hardened layer (HC), during the preparation process, HC materials are dissolved in a solution, coated on the surface of transparent polyimide (CPI), and then baked and other processes are performed to remove the solution on the surface, and the stress on the surface can change during the solution removal process, which causes the material to warp. After the whole module is attached, the Cover Film monomer can cause the corresponding position of the whole display module to warp due to the thinner thickness of the curling module, and at the moment, the display module is in an uneven state, which is equivalent to the fact that the module is stressed in advance, and the reliability of outward rolling (the display surface faces outwards) can be influenced.
Secondly, the improper selection of the external-rolling fixing mode causes the membrane layer separation (peeling): the fixing method during the curling is that the display module needs to be fixed on the scroll during the curling, and different fixing methods have a great influence on the reliability of the curling. The fixing mode of the inner rolling module adopts a mode of fixing a supporting piece on the back of the module. The main aim of the current stage is to solve the fixing mode of the outward rolling module. There are two fixing modes of fixing support and Cover Film.
The problem with the fixed support is that the flexible display substrate (Panel) is easily peeled off from the package during the curling process, affected by the bounce force and the cut edge of the module. The module is invalid, so the mode of fixing the supporting piece is not adopted in the current stage of the outward rolling module.
In addition, the reel is fixed with the edge of the Cover film by using double faced adhesive tape, and the fixing mode of the Cover film is the scheme adopted at present. Its benefit is the problem point that can not take place the edge encapsulation and peel off, but Cover Film's material is organic macromolecular material, and if long-time atress was dragged, plastic deformation can take place, produces the deformation that can't reply, causes the influence to the reliance of module.
In this example embodiment, there is first provided a flexible display module, as shown in fig. 1 to 5, including: the display device comprises a support 10, a flexible display substrate 30 and a flexible cover plate 50, wherein the support 10 comprises a first support part 110 and a second support part 120 surrounding the first support part 110; in the thickness direction of the support 10, the thickness of the second support 120 is greater than the thickness of the first support 110, and the modulus of the first support 110 is greater than the modulus of the second support 120; the flexible display substrate 30 is disposed at one side of the first supporting portion 110, and the second supporting portion 120 surrounds the flexible display substrate 30; the flexible cover plate 50 is disposed on a side of the flexible display substrate 30 away from the first supporting portion 110, and is connected to the second supporting portion 120.
According to the flexible display module provided by the disclosure, aiming at the requirements of different support properties of different areas when the flexible display module is curled, the support 10 comprises the first support part 110 and the second support part 120 surrounding the first support part 110, the thickness of the second support part 120 is larger than that of the first support part 110, the modulus of the first support part 110 is larger than that of the second support part 120, the modulus of the first support part 110 is relatively reduced, the first support part 110 is relatively softer, and the curling capability is improved; the modulus of the second supporting part 120 is relatively improved, so that the second supporting part 120 is relatively harder, and the support and tensile capacity are improved; the whole warping of the flexible display module caused by the warping of the edge of the monomer material is improved, the warping can influence the touch performance of the edge, and meanwhile, the flexible display module is subjected to certain prestress, so that the stress in the curling is not matched, and the reliability is invalid; the problem that the outer roll is not fixed on the scroll 60 by a proper fixing layer is solved, the fixing film layer of the outer roll can be transferred to the support 10 through the flexible cover plate 50, so that the flexible display module can bear larger pulling force, and edge delamination caused by the fact that the fixing film layer is improper is prevented from being generated in the flexible display module; the thickness thickening and the modulus are adopted at the curling starting fixed end, the tensile capacity is improved, the patterned metal at the starting fixed end is prevented from being broken, and therefore the purpose of improving the curling performance of the flexible display module is achieved.
As shown in fig. 3 and 5, the flexible display module further includes: a Back Film (BF)20, the back film 20 being disposed on a side of the flexible display substrate (panel)30 facing away from the flexible cover (cover film) 50. By disposing the back film 20 on the back side of the flexible display substrate 30, the back film 20 can provide a supporting force to the flexible display substrate 30 to achieve a better bending effect.
The backing film 20 may include a flexible substrate, a double-sided adhesive layer, and a detackable adhesive layer. The elastic modulus of the material forming the flexible base material is less than 150MPa, the double-sided adhesive layer is positioned on one side of the flexible base material, and the anti-adhesive layer is positioned on the side, not provided with the double-sided adhesive layer, of the flexible base material. Thus, the backing film 20 is flexible enough to support the attachment of the flexible display substrate 30 to a curved cover glass, even a quadrilateral cover glass. The flexible substrate of the backsheet 20 has a low elastic modulus, so that it is flexible and can stretch along with the flexible display panel during the attaching process, thereby alleviating the generation of wrinkles and air bubbles. Wherein the material forming the flexible substrate may have a strain at break of not less than 70%. Therefore, the attaching effect can be further improved. For example, the material forming the flexible substrate includes at least one of PO (propylene oxide), TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber), and PU (polyurethane). The material has sufficient flexibility, and can prevent defects such as wrinkles generated when the flexible display substrate 30 and the flexible cover sheet 50 are bonded due to excessive hardness of the back film 20.
As shown in fig. 3 and 5, the flexible display module further includes: the sealant 40 is disposed between the second supporting portion 120 and the flexible cover plate 50, and the sealant 40 is disposed between the second supporting portion 120 and the flexible cover plate 50. The second supporting portion 120 of the supporting member 10 is connected to the flexible cover plate 50 through the sealant 40, and the sealant 40 is mainly used for bonding the second supporting portion 120 and the flexible cover plate 50, and the material thereof may be, for example, foam adhesive, acrylate, epoxy resin, etc. The connection reliability between the second supporting portion 120 and the flexible cover plate 50 can be increased by the sealant 40, so that the curling performance of the flexible display module is improved. In addition, the second supporting portion 120 and the flexible cover plate 50 may be further bonded together by OCA optical cement, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
Wherein, in the thickness direction of the support 10 (i.e. the thickness direction of the flexible display module), the thickness of the sealant 40 is 50 μm to 100 μm, such as 50 μm, 60 μm, 80 μm, 100 μm, etc., which is not listed herein; of course, the thickness of the sealant 40 may also be less than 50 μm or greater than 100 μm, which is not limited in this disclosure.
Specifically, a gap is formed between the first supporting portion 110 and the second supporting portion 120, and the void ratio of the first supporting portion 110 is greater than the void ratio of the second supporting portion 120. The modulus of the first support part 110 is made larger than the modulus of the second support part 120 by making the porosity of the first support part 110 larger than the porosity of the second support part 120.
As shown in fig. 1, the supporter 10 is patterned (pattern), the supporter 10 is divided into a first supporter 110 and a second supporter 120 by the pattern, and the first supporter 110 and the second supporter 120 have different pattern configurations. The area of the first supporting part 110 corresponds to the curling part of the flexible display module and is also a display part, the grid space of the pattern is wider, and the modulus of the whole part is softer, so that the curling of the flexible display module is facilitated; the area of the second supporting portion 120 corresponds to the fixed portion and the edge of the flexible display module, the grid space of the pattern is thin, and the whole body is hard, so that the flexible display module has better supporting effect and tensile strength. In fig. 1, the filled portion is a solid portion, and the unfilled portion is a grid gap portion formed by patterning.
In addition, the shape of the pattern is not limited in the present disclosure, for example, the shape of the gap is a parallelogram, an ellipse, etc., and all the patterns are divided into a dense part and a dense part, the overall modulus of the first supporting part 110 is low and is soft, and the overall modulus of the second supporting part 120 is high and is hard, so that the same technical effect can be achieved, and all the patterns belong to the protection scope of the present disclosure.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the first support part 110 and the second support part 120 are of an integral structure. Through making first supporting part 110 and second supporting part 120 structure as an organic whole, can promote the overall structure intensity of support piece 10 to promote first supporting part 110 and second supporting part 120 tensile strength, prevent that the patterning metal of originated stiff end from being broken, thereby realized promoting the purpose that flexible display module curled the performance.
As shown in fig. 4 and 5, the first support portion 110 and the second support portion 120 are separated from each other.
