Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a pipe for tracking a reel (reel), a winding apparatus with a reel tracking device and a winding method including tracking of a reel.
Background
As is known, the produced wire or yarn is wound around a tube to form a roll in a winding system. It is to be noted that the term "thread" or monofilament or continuous filament refers to a monofilament or continuous cocoon thread (for example, in the case of silk, artificial or artificial fibres), while the term "yarn" refers to a set of fibrils of variable length connected in parallel by twisting. In the following, we will use either term indiscriminately, which means that the application of the invention is not limited to one type or another. The reel is made by winding the wire of the spool after it has been unwound from the spool and eliminates any drawbacks. In any case, the wire is wound around a tube that may have various shapes and materials. Cylindrical or conical tubes made of plastic or cardboard are generally used.
The winder has a plurality of winding units, each of which forms a reel by suitably accumulating the yarn on a tube. The tube is positioned in the basket above the winding head.
At the beginning of the winding process, the doffing cart used by the winder takes the tube out of the basket and positions it on the winding head. At the end of the winding process, the reel consisting of the tube plus the yarn placed (i.e. the yarn wound on the tube) is removed from the winding unit by means of a doffing trolley.
In particular, the doffing cart is positioned on the winding unit and the newly formed reel is removed by loading a new tube on which the winding unit will form a new reel.
The known solutions do not provide any tracking of the logs formed by each spinning unit; in other words, once formed, the logs are stacked in baskets according to the production batch.
In any case, during the successive processing steps of the yarn that must be unwound or dyed from the reel, information is lost, for example, about the origin of the reel.
In other words, information about the date of manufacture, the production lot, the winder and/or the winding unit on which the single reel was manufactured is lost.
The loss of this information does not allow, for example, the possibility of being able to trace back to the manufacturing lot and/or the winder or winding unit that produced the single roll. This information is very useful, for example, for being able to trace back the criticality of the production batch, the winder or even a single winding head or unit.
Furthermore, it is not possible, for example, to catalog the manufactured logs to distinguish their destinations according to the characteristics of the manufacturing batches (or units) themselves.
Disclosure of Invention
Accordingly, a need is felt to address the drawbacks and limitations mentioned above with reference to the prior art.
This need is met by a tube for tracking a spool, a winding device and a winding method according to the invention.

Detailed Description
With reference to the above figures, reference numeral 4 denotes a winding apparatus, as described in more detail below.
It is worth noting that the present invention is preferably, but not exclusively, applied to a winding apparatus in which the wire unwound from the spool is wound on the reel after any defects in the winding unit have been removed. Indeed, the invention can be applied to common spinning devices in which the thread is manufactured, for example, with air jets or open-end techniques, and then wound on a tube to keep track of all the processes undergone by the thread itself (as described in more detail below).
In any case, the winding device 4 can be of any type, shape and size for the purposes of the present invention.
The winding device 4 generally comprises: a bobbin on which a wire containing a defect is wound; means for unwinding the wire from the spool; yarn cleaner which analyses the unwound thread and detects its defects. The winding apparatus 4 also comprises means for cutting the portions of defective line and means for reconnecting the cord formed by cutting the portions of defective line as described above. Finally, the winding device 4 comprises means for rewinding the wire, from which any defects have been removed, on the tube 8 to form a reel 12.
The spool 12 is rotationally biased by a wire guide shaped, for example, to impart lateral movement to the wire wound on the spool 12 and/or rotational movement of the spool 12 to wind the wire around the tube 8.
In particular, the reel 12 is formed by winding the wire around the tube 8.
The tube 8 is advantageously configured to allow tracking of the reel 12 wound thereon.
In more detail, the tube 8 comprises a tubular body 20 having an outer lateral surface 24 suitable for receiving the wound yarn to form the log 12.
The tubular body 20 is axially symmetrical with respect to the axis of symmetry S-S.
Typically, the tubular body is cylindrical or conical or better still truncated-cone shaped with respect to said axis of symmetry S-S.
The body 20 is typically made of cardboard or plastic.
The tubular body 20 extends between opposite axial ends 28, 32, each provided with a transverse seat 36 for at least partially housing a respective tailstock for rotating the support tube 8 during the winding of the yarn.
Advantageously, the tubular body 20 is associated with identification means 44 (EPC: electronic product code) suitable for uniquely identifying the tube 8.
Preferably, the identification device 44 is a Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) that includes an electronic identification code (EPC).
It will be apparent that the rfid device 44 may be detected by a special reader, as described in more detail below.
According to one possible embodiment, the radio frequency identification device 44(RFID) is a UHF type tag operating at a frequency between 840MHz and 960 MHz. Preferably, the radio frequency identification device 44(RFID) is a UHF type tag operating at a frequency equal to 850 MHz.
The identification device 44 may be placed in various positions relative to the tube 8.
According to one possible embodiment, the identification means 44 are associated with the outer lateral surface 24 of the tubular body 8.
According to one embodiment, the tubular body 20 is at least partially hollow to define an internal cavity 48 bounded by an internal side surface 52 opposite said external side surface 24, wherein said identification means 44 are associated with the internal side surface 52 of the tubular body 20.
According to another embodiment, the identification device 44 is embedded within the body 20. The embedding of the identification device 44 is preferably performed in the plastic tube body 20, but may also be performed in the cardboard tube body 20.
According to one possible embodiment, the identification means 44 are arranged along a main direction parallel to the generatrix line of the tube 8.
According to another possible embodiment, the identification means 44 are arranged along a main direction perpendicular to the generatrix line of the tube 8.
Generally, the position and orientation of the label, i.e. the position and orientation of the identification means 44 on the tube body 20, depends on the characteristics of the label itself, i.e. its radiation pattern.
As mentioned above, the winding device 4 comprises at least a winding unit 56 shaped to wind the yarn around the tube 8 to make the reel 12. The winding device 4 also comprises a doffing trolley 60 having at least one support arm 64 configured to move the tube 8 and the reel 12.
In particular, the winding device 4 comprises at least one reading device 68 of the identification means 44 of the tubes 8 to identify each individual tube 8 or reel 12.
In particular, the reading device 68 is an electronic device configured to communicate with the rfid device 44 (i.e., using an appropriate radio frequency) and read the electronic identification code.
The operation that can be performed by the reading device 68 is typically a list of tags or identification devices 44, i.e. their reading and identification, but also the rewriting of an electronic identification code (EPC). In other words, the reading device 68 may also be used as a writing device to separately add additional information to the tag of the unique identification code or the identification device 44. Such additional information may include, for example, characteristics of the winding unit 56 or events occurring during the winding step, such as the number of wire breaks, or parameters/operating conditions of the winding unit 56 during formation of the roll 12.
The reading device 68 of the identification device 44 is arranged on the support arm 64 of the doffing cart 60 such that the identification device 44 can be read when the support arm 64 moves the tube 8 or the reel 12.
A reading device 68 of the identification device 44 can also be provided, which is arranged on a specific reading arm of the doffing carriage 60.
A reading device 68 of the identification device 44 can also be provided on at least one winding unit 56 of the winding apparatus 4 or also on each winding unit 56.
The reading means 68 of the identification means 44 are supported by the relative support arm 64 or reading arm and are provided with movement means 72 suitable for allowing the oscillation of the reading means 68 about an oscillation axis lying on a plane perpendicular to and incident on the symmetry axis S-S of the tube 8.
Preferably, the oscillation occurs during the reading step so that the identification code 44 can be read correctly and more quickly.
According to another possible embodiment, the winding plant 4 comprises a reading device 68 of the identification device 44 located at the unloading belt of the log 12.
Preferably, the reading means 68 of the identification means 44 are calibrated to emit a power of less than 15 dBm.
Even more preferably, the reading means 68 of the identification means 44 are calibrated to emit a power between 8dBm and 12 dBm.
This power value is a compromise which makes it possible to read the relevant label, i.e. the label applied to the tube to be identified, without erroneous readings from any other label present on the winding unit 56, on other parts of the winding device 4 or on other tubes adjacent to the relevant tube (for example, because it is contained in bulk in the basket).
The winding unit 56 and/or the winding apparatus 4 also comprise at least one processing and control unit (not shown) programmed to:
bringing the reading means 68 of the identification means 44 in the vicinity of the identification means 44,
activating the reading means 68 to illuminate the identification means 44,
-actuating the rotation of the tube 8 or of the mandrel 12 during the step of irradiating the identification means 44 to facilitate the reading thereof.
In fact, the reading of the tag is improved or made faster by means of the relative movement between the tube 8 (and therefore the identification means 44) and the reading means 68. In effect, the radiation pattern of the tag itself changes depending on the relative orientation between the reading device 68 and the identification device.
Such relative movement can be achieved, for example, by rotating the tube 8 or the drum 12 about its axis of symmetry S-S and/or by tilting or swinging the reading device 68 about an oscillation axis lying on a plane perpendicular to and incident on the axis of symmetry S-S of the tube 8.
Furthermore, the processing and control unit can be programmed to write information relating to the spinning unit and/or the operations performed by the spinning unit on the tube/spool, and/or the operating conditions of the spinning unit during the formation of the spool 12, on the identification means 44 of the tube 8 or spool 12.
Preferably, the winding plant 4 comprises a data acquisition system 76 which stores information relating to the processing steps of each reel 12 and associates it with the identification means 44 of each reel 12.
According to one possible embodiment, the apparatus comprises a portable device 80 for reading the identification code 44 of each tube 8, operatively connected to the data acquisition system 76, in order to reconstruct the stored data for the identification device 44 of each tube 8. The data acquisition system may also be connected to a remote terminal 84 that the user may use to display any further information provided by the data acquisition system 76.
The operation of the winding apparatus according to the present invention will now be described.
In particular, the winding plant according to the invention works by implementing a winding method comprising the following steps:
providing at least one tube 8 provided with identification means 44 adapted to uniquely identify said tube 8, wherein said identification means 44 is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) device comprising an electronic identification code (EPC),
loading said tube 8 onto the winding unit 56 and identifying the identification means 44 of the tube 8 by means of the reading means 68 of the identification means 44,
storing in a database or data acquisition system 76 information related to the operations performed by the winding unit 56 on the yarn wound on said tube 8 to form the reel 12,
-associating, in said database or data acquisition system 76, the identification means 44 of the tube 8 with information relating to the operations performed by the winding unit 56 on the yarn wound on said tube 8.
In more detail, the method may comprise the steps of:
applying RFID tags, each having a unique EPC, on the tubes 8 to be loaded onto the baskets of the winding unit 56;
a new tube 8 is loaded onto the winding unit 56 by means of the trolley 60 and during this process the following information is written on the identification means 44:
a) the serial number of the winding apparatus 4,
b) the serial number of the winding unit 56, wherein the winding process of a particular reel 12 is to be performed on a particular tube 8.
(c) Date, hour, minute, second on which tube 8 was loaded onto winder unit 56.
The trolley 60 then transmits the EPC code of the identification device of the loaded tube 8 to the winding unit 56.
Thus, at the end of the winding process of the log 12, the winding unit 56 transmits to the processing and control unit of the winding apparatus 4 the statistics, alarms, type of cuts made during the formation of the log 12, using the EPC code as the unique key identifying the collected information.
The processing and control unit of the winder locally accumulates the data transmitted by the winding unit 56, relating to the formation of the logs 12, identifying them uniquely by means of the EPC provided by each tube 8.
The processing and control unit sends the collected data to an external data acquisition system 76, which again uses the EPC identification code to store data relating to the formed roll 12. Thus, the external acquisition system makes it possible to retrieve data relating to the formation of a particular roll 12 from the EPC.
Finally, by using a portable reader 80 (for example, a smartphone with an RFID reader system), it is possible to read the tag or identification device 44 of a particular roll 12 and, by means of the EPC code, to retrieve the data relating to this particular roll 12 using the data present in the data acquisition system 76.
The data acquisition system also makes it possible to give feedback on any problems that may have occurred during the use of the reel 12 itself, in weaving or, for example, in dyeing or knitting or, more generally, in subsequent processing steps of the reel 12.
As can be understood from the above description, the present invention makes it possible to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art.
In particular, the invention makes it possible to overcome the limitations of known winding systems.
In fact, it is possible to track each reel in a complete and exhaustive manner, so as to reconstruct its entire history from its formation. Thus, it is possible to track the manufacturing lot (date and location), the winder, and the individual units or winding heads.
Furthermore, the stored information makes it possible to uniquely identify the single reel and to reconstruct all the operations performed on the single reel, for example by the winding head, such as the number of cuts (and splices thereof), the precise length, etc. The user can read this information back to reconstruct the history of the roll.
It is worth noting that the label does not necessarily have to store all the information relating to the manufacture of the single rolls, but can just store the (unique) identification code of the roll itself, which will be associated with a database containing additional information about, for example, the winding machine, the single winding unit, the number of splices/cuts, etc.
The logs can then be classified with a hierarchy or in such a way that they can be used for different purposes, for example, due to the respective qualities resulting from the respective forming histories.
It is thus possible to sort/differentiate the different types/qualities of rolls for different uses. For example, rolls that have undergone a large number of cuts/reconnections may be used to weave fabrics that are not intended to be visible in subsequent uses (e.g., the shirt cuff).
On the other hand, a reel that has undergone less cutting/reattachment can be used to weave a portion of fabric that is intended to be always visible in subsequent uses, such as fabric for the front of a shirt.
Furthermore, reels with a greater or lesser number of interruptions/reconnections can be designated for different dyeing steps; for example, in the case of dyed yarn rolls, it would be possible to vary the bath soak time.
Another criterion according to which the bath immersion time is varied may be the exact length of the individual rolls that significantly vary the density of the wire.
Alternatively, it is possible to classify reels with different thread winding densities, since they come from winding units with specific types of yarn guides.
Furthermore, the information stored on the single reel can be used to reconstruct the operating modes of the winder and of the single winding head/unit, so that for example preventive maintenance can be performed on the rotor head/unit itself.
A person skilled in the art may bring numerous variations and modifications to the winding apparatus and method described above, all of which are included within the scope of protection defined by the appended claims, in order to satisfy contingent and specific requirements.
