[ detailed description ] embodiments
For better understanding of the technical solutions of the present invention, the following detailed descriptions of the embodiments of the present invention are provided with reference to the accompanying drawings.
It should be understood that the described embodiments are only some embodiments of the invention, and not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
The terminology used in the embodiments of the invention is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention. As used in the examples of the present invention and the appended claims, the singular forms "a," "an," and "the" are intended to include the plural forms as well, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
It should be understood that the term "and/or" as used herein is merely one type of association that describes an associated object, meaning that three relationships may exist, e.g., a and/or B may mean: a exists alone, A and B exist simultaneously, and B exists alone. In addition, the character "/" herein generally indicates that the former and latter related objects are in an "or" relationship.
It should be understood that although the terms first and second may be used to describe the ink portions and the non-visible regions in the embodiments of the present invention, the ink portions and the non-visible regions should not be limited to these terms, and these terms are only used to distinguish the ink portions and the non-visible regions from each other. For example, a first ink portion may also be referred to as a second ink portion, and similarly, a second ink portion may also be referred to as a first ink portion, without departing from the scope of embodiments of the present invention.
Before explaining the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, the invention firstly explains the problems in the prior art:
as shown in fig. 1, fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a display panel in the prior art, the display panel includes a visible region 1 'and a non-visible region 2' surrounding the visible region, and an ink layer 3 'for improving edge light leakage is disposed in the non-visible region 2'. However, considering the influence of factors such as process errors during the bonding, in order to avoid the ink layer 3 ' from shielding the visible area 1 ', a certain gap is usually left between the ink layer 3 ' and the visible area 1 ', because the gap area 4 ' where the gap is located is used for setting a peripheral circuit, such as a shift register, the film layer structure and the patterning design of the peripheral circuit are different from those of the pixel circuit in the visible area 1 ', so that the reflectivity of the two stacked film layers is different, the color difference between the visible area 1 ' and the gap area 4 ' is larger in the information screen state, and because the color of the ink layer 3 ' is usually similar to that of the visible area 1 ' in the information screen state, a circle of obvious black frame can be presented in the gap area 4 ', which affects the integral black effect.
To this end, an embodiment of the present invention provides a display panel, which is combined with fig. 2 to 4, where fig. 2 is a schematic diagram illustrating region division of the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, fig. 3 is a top view of the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention in a state of a screen, and fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, the display panel includes: a visible region 1 and a non-visible region 2, wherein the non-visible region 2 comprises a gap region 3 surrounding the visible region 1 and a peripheral region 4 surrounding the gap region 3; a cover plate 5 and a display substrate 6 which are oppositely arranged; the printing ink layer 7, the printing ink layer 7 is arranged on one side, facing the display substrate 6, of the cover plate 5, the printing ink layer 7 extends around the visible area 1 in the non-visible area 2, the portion, located in the peripheral area 4, of the printing ink layer 7 is a first printing ink portion 8, the first printing ink portion 8 is used for improving the edge light leakage phenomenon through the shading characteristic of the first printing ink portion, the portion, located in the gap area 3, of the printing ink layer 7 is a second printing ink portion 9, a hollow portion 10 is arranged in the second printing ink portion 9, at least part of the hollow portion 10 covers the edge of the second printing ink portion 9, and therefore the edge of the second printing ink portion 9 is a nonlinear edge.
It should be noted that the visible area 1 refers to an area in the display panel for displaying pictures, and the non-visible area 2 refers to a frame area in the display panel that is not used for displaying pictures, and when the display panel displays a screen, the visible area 1 cannot emit light due to the limitation of the polarizer disposed in the display panel, so that the visible area 1 appears black. In addition, taking the display panel as an organic light emitting display panel as an example, the display substrate 6 may specifically refer to an array substrate encapsulated by a thin film encapsulation layer.
In the display panel provided by the embodiment of the invention, by additionally arranging the circle of the second ink part 9 on one side of the first ink part 8 close to the visible area 1 and performing patterning design on the second ink part 9, on one hand, the color difference between the gap area 3 and the visible area 1 and the peripheral area 4 can be weakened by utilizing the saw-tooth feeling of the second ink part 9, and the integral black effect is effectively improved; on the other hand, the edge of the second ink portion 9 is set to be a nonlinear edge by the hollow portion 10, even if the edge is affected by the alignment precision during the attaching process, the setting position of the second ink portion 9 is deviated, the possibility that the second ink portion 9 shields the visible area 1 can be reduced, and therefore the influence on the normal light emitting of the visible area 1 is avoided.
As can be seen, with the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, the second ink portion 9 with a patterned design is disposed in the gap region 3, so that the color difference between the gap region 3 and the visible region 1 and the peripheral region 4 is weakened, and the possibility of affecting the normal light emission of the visible region 1 is reduced.
In addition, it should be noted that, in the edges of the second ink portion 9, the edge near the visible area 1 is an inner edge, and the edge near the peripheral area 4 is an outer edge, please refer to fig. 3 again, the hollow portion 10 in the second ink portion 9 may only cover the inner edge of the second ink portion 9, so that the inner edge of the second ink portion 9 is in a non-linear design; alternatively, as shown in fig. 5, fig. 5 is another top view of the display panel in the state of the information screen provided by the embodiment of the present invention, the hollow portion 10 in the second ink portion 9 may cover both the inner edge of the second ink portion 9 and the outer edge of the second ink portion 9, so that both the inner edge and the outer edge of the second ink portion 9 are designed to be non-linear.
Optionally, the light transmittance of the second ink portion 9 is greater than the light transmittance of the first ink portion 8. At this time, the first ink portion 8 can be formed by using an ink material with low light transmittance, which has a good light shielding effect, so that light leakage at the edge of the display panel is avoided, and the display performance is improved; the second ink layer 7 can be made of an ink material with a slightly high light transmittance, so that even if the second ink portion 9 shields the visible region 1 due to the influence of factors such as alignment accuracy, the light transmittance of the second ink portion 9 is high, and thus the light output of the visible region 1 cannot be greatly influenced.
Further, the light transmittance of the second ink portion 9 is A, and A is 30% to 50%. Set up to 30% with A's minimum, can avoid second printing ink portion 9 luminousness to hang down excessively, avoid second printing ink portion 9 to cause great influence to the light-emitting of visual zone 1, and set up to 50% with A's maximum value, also further avoided second printing ink portion 9 luminousness too high to avoid second printing ink portion 9 too transparent, in order to guarantee to carry out effective weakening to the black frame phenomenon of clearance district 3. Therefore, the light transmittance of the second ink portion 9 is set to be between 30% and 50%, so that the second ink portion 9 has a certain light transmittance, the light emitting of the visible area 1 is prevented from being influenced, and the black frame phenomenon of the gap area 3 is effectively weakened.
Optionally, referring to fig. 5 again, the hollow portion 10 includes a first hollow portion 101 and a second hollow portion 102, wherein the first hollow portion 101 covers an edge of the second ink portion 9, the second hollow portion 102 is not communicated with the edge of the second ink portion 9, the first hollow portion 101 is triangular, and the second hollow portion 102 is diamond-shaped. With such an arrangement, the first hollow-out portion 101 is used for enabling the second ink portion 9 to form a nonlinear edge, so that the color difference between the gap area 3 and the visible area 1 and the peripheral area 4 is effectively weakened, and meanwhile, the second hollow-out portion 102 is used for carrying out hollow-out design on the inside of the second ink portion 9, at the moment, even if the second ink portion 9 shields the visible area 1 due to the influence of factors such as alignment precision, the influence on the light emitting of the visible area 1 can be reduced by the second hollow-out portion 102.
Further, by forming the first hollow portion 101 in a triangular shape, the edge of the second ink portion 9 can be formed with sharp-angled serrations, and when the position where the second ink portion 9 is disposed is shifted toward the visible region 1 due to the positioning accuracy or the like, the degree of shielding of the visible region 1 by the serrations of the second ink portion 9 can be reduced.
It should be noted that, in other alternative embodiments of the present invention, the shapes of the first hollow-out portion 101 and the second hollow-out portion 102 may also be rectangular, circular, and the like, so as to improve the selectivity and flexibility of the patterning design of the second ink portion 9, and the complexity of the patterning design of the second ink portion 9 is also simplified by setting the shapes of the first hollow-out portion 101 and the second hollow-out portion 102 to the above-mentioned conventional shape.
Alternatively, in conjunction with fig. 2 and 3, the second ink portion 9 and the first ink portion 8 communicate at the boundary of the gap region 3 and the peripheral region 4. So set up, the juncture between clearance district 3 and the peripheral zone 4 can be covered by second printing ink portion 9, and the light that the display panel edge leaked is when transmitting the juncture between clearance district 3 and the peripheral zone 4, can further be sheltered from by second printing ink portion 9, consequently, when utilizing second printing ink portion 9 to improve the colour difference problem in clearance district 3, still further reduced the risk of display panel edge light leak.
Optionally, with reference to fig. 2, as shown in fig. 6, fig. 6 is a schematic diagram illustrating a color comparison between a visible region and a non-visible region of the display panel in the screen saver state according to an embodiment of the present invention, and it should be noted that, for better clarity, the color depth filled in each region in fig. 6 illustrates the color depth of the corresponding region when the display panel is in the screen saver state; the color of the first ink portion 8 has a first chroma value, the first chroma value is the same as the chroma value of the color presented by the visible area 1 when the display panel is in a screen-saving state, at the moment, the hue and the saturation of the color presented by the peripheral area 4 and the visible area 1 are the same when the display panel is in a screen-saving state, the hue and the saturation of the color are the same, the two are free of chromatic aberration, and the integral black effect is optimized.
Further, referring to fig. 6 again, the color of the second ink portion 9 has a second chromaticity value, which is the same as the first chromaticity value, that is, the second ink portion 9 and the first ink portion 8 are formed by using ink materials with the same color hue and saturation, at this time, the hue and saturation of the color presented in the region where the second ink portion 9 is located in the peripheral region 4 and the gap region 3 are the same, and further, when the display panel is turned on, the color presented in the region where the second ink portion 9 is located in the visible region 1, the peripheral region 4 and the gap region 3 is black with uniform chromaticity, so that the integral black effect is further improved.
Alternatively, referring to fig. 3 again, the color of the second ink portion 9 has a second chromaticity value, which is smaller than the first chromaticity value, that is, the chromaticity of the color of the ink material used in the second ink portion 9 is weaker than that of the ink material used in the first ink portion 8, so that the color of the second ink portion 9 is slightly lighter than that of the first ink portion 8, and therefore, the black frame of the gap region 3 is neutralized by the second ink portion 9, and the difference in the overall color difference between the gap region 3 and the visible region 1 and the peripheral region 4 is improved, so as to improve the integral black effect to some extent.
It should be noted that, when the partial edge of the viewing area 1 of the display panel is a non-linear edge, the display panel is shaped in a special shape, and for example, the display panel may be a display panel with a groove as shown in fig. 7, or may also be a rounded rectangular display panel as shown in fig. 8. In this type of display panel, the length of the gate lines or data lines at the groove or fillet area is different from the length of other conventional traces, and for this reason, some compensation structures are usually disposed in the non-visible area 2 adjacent to the groove or fillet area to compensate for the load of the gate lines and data lines. Therefore, the width of the border of the non-visible area 2 adjacent to the groove or the fillet area is larger than the width of the border of the other non-visible areas 2, which results in the width of the gap area 3 being correspondingly larger, so that the color difference in the part of the non-visible area 2 is more obvious and the vision is more obtrusive.
