Firstly, shortening the hydraulic cylinder 7 to lift the clamping blocks 9 and 10, and then extending the small hydraulic cylinder 8 to increase the distance between the clamping blocks 9 and 10 so as to separate the two opposite semicircular pipes 11; the mechanical arm 6 is rotated by 180 degrees, the centers of the two opposite semi-circular tubes 11 are vertically aligned with the garlic seeds in the first row, then the hydraulic cylinder 7 is extended to enable the clamping blocks 9 and 10 to fall down, finally the small hydraulic cylinder 8 is shortened to enable the distance between the clamping blocks 9 and 10 to be reduced, so that the two opposite semi-circular tubes 11 clamp the garlic seeds tightly, then the hydraulic cylinder 7 is shortened to lift the garlic seeds in the first row from the short tube, and the garlic seed clamping operation is completed.
After the garlic seeds are taken, the mechanical arm rotates for 180 degrees, then the tail end of the mechanical arm 6 moves downwards, and the lower end of the semicircular pipe 11 is close to the ground. Then the hydraulic cylinder 7 is extended, the semi-circular pipes 11 and the garlic seeds clamped by the semi-circular pipes are forcibly inserted into the soil together, after the garlic seeds are inserted into the soil, the small hydraulic cylinder 8 is extended, the two opposite semi-circular pipes 11 are slightly separated by 1mm, and the garlic seeds fall into the soil. Finally, the hydraulic cylinder 7 is contracted to lift the semi-circular pipe 11, and the garlic seeds are left in the soil, thereby completing one-time sowing operation.
The trolley 1 is driven by a stepping motor, and stays in place for 10 seconds for seeding every time the trolley advances for a certain distance (such as 15 cm). Therefore, when the first row of sowing is finished, the trolley advances for 15cm and stops, the mechanical arm repeats the clamping steps, clamps the second row of garlic seeds on the trolley and performs sowing. During the process of sowing the second row of garlic seeds by the garlic planter, the rest garlic seeds are manually placed in the empty vertical short pipes of the first row, after the second row of garlic seeds are sown, the trolley 1 advances for 15cm and stays for 10 seconds, the garlic planter continues to perform garlic seed sowing work of the third row, after the last row of garlic seeds are sown on the trolley, the mechanical arm starts to clamp the newly placed first row of garlic seeds, and workers need to timely supplement the placed garlic seeds during the process to fill the empty vertical short pipes so as to realize continuous sowing work.
When the garlic planter plants garlic to the ground, the trolley 1 turns around and turns to plant garlic in the next plot.
