Drawings
Other features and advantages of the invention will be better understood with the aid of the description and the accompanying drawings, in which:
figure 1 shows a system for controlling the opening and closing of a motor vehicle flap, comprising a lock unit and according to the invention;
figure 2 shows a rear view of a part of the lock unit shown in figure 1.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a system 2 for controlling the opening and closing of one or more movable doors of a motor vehicle, the system 2 comprising a lock unit 4, and fig. 2 shows a rear view of a part of the lock unit 4 of fig. 1. For a better understanding of the invention, fig. 1 and 2 will be described simultaneously.
The system 2 for controlling the opening or closing of a movable door comprises a lock unit 4 of the movable door. The movable door is not shown. The lock unit 4 comprises a lock 5 adapted to cooperate with a fixed element 6 of the vehicle structure in order to open, close and lock, unlock the movable door. The fixing element 6 may be a strike plate.
The lock unit 4 is connected to an external opening control device 8 of the flap door, which external opening control device 8 is accessible from outside the vehicle, and to an internal opening control device 10, which internal opening control device 10 is accessible from inside the vehicle. The external opening control means 8 are adapted to control, lock and unlock the lock 5.
The lock may include a locking bolt 12, the locking bolt 12 being configured to rotate between an open position of the lock and a closed position in which the locking bolt 12 engages the strike plate 6 on the vehicle structure. The external opening control device 8 comprises a handle 14. As is known, the lock 5 is connected to an external opening control device 8 by means of a stress transmission mechanism (not shown), such as a connecting wire, so that when the movable door is closed and the user pulls on the handle 14, the bolt 12 rotates from its closed position to its open position, so that the movable door can be opened.
The lock unit 4 further comprises means (not shown) for locking and unlocking the lock. When the lock is in the locked condition, a pulling force on the handle 14 of the external opening control cannot cause the shutter to open.
The locking and unlocking means may have an electric actuator, such as an electric motor, which acts on the lock to lock or unlock the lock. The actuator is not shown, but only the housing cavity 16 of the actuator is shown in fig. 2. The mechanism of locking and unlocking the lock of a vehicle sliding door is known per se.
The locking and unlocking of the lock of the movable door can be achieved by means of a key cooperating with an external opening control device, or by means of a remote control at a distance from the vehicle. The external opening control includes a key cylinder on the handle for receiving a key 18. To lock or unlock the lock, a key 18 is inserted into the lock cylinder by a user and rotated therein. The two directions of rotation of the key are shown by the arrows in fig. 1. The lock unit 4 may comprise a receiving cavity of the lock cylinder. The lock cylinder 20 and the lock cylinder receiving cavity 22 are visible in fig. 2.
The control system 2 also comprises a control unit 24 of the lock of the movable door. The control unit 24 is commonly referred to as a BSI or smart auxiliary box. The control unit 24 is connected to the lock unit 4 to control locking and unlocking of the lock. The lock unit 4 includes an electrical connector 26 and is electrically connected to the control unit 24 through the connector. The control unit is configured to control the locking and unlocking means of the lock, and in particular the actuator, in order to lock and unlock the lock.
The control unit 24 comprises an input for a lock or unlock control signal of the lock, sent by the remote control.
The control unit 24 in the control system of the present invention is configured to selectively consider the locked or unlocked state of the lock and to control switching of that state of the lock in response to the detected rotation of the key 18.
The lock unit 4 comprises detection means for detecting the rotation of the key in the lock cylinder. The detection means (not shown) for detecting the rotation of the key are configured to detect the rotation of the key in the lock cylinder in a single direction of rotation of the key, or in two directions of rotation without distinction. As shown in fig. 2, the detection means may comprise a switch 28 located on the lock unit in the vicinity of the receiving cavity of the lock cylinder. Thus, a switch 28 may be connected to the lock cylinder to detect the rotation of the key in the lock cylinder. When the key rotates in the lock cylinder, a rotation signal of the key is sent to the control unit, and the control unit controls the state of the switching lock no matter what direction the key rotates in the lock cylinder.
According to an embodiment of the invention, the lock unit 4 has detection means for detecting the state of the lock. The control unit 24 comprises an input for a detection signal of the state of the lock. The detection means for detecting the state of the lock may comprise a position sensor 30 of the locking and unlocking means of the lock. The position sensor is shown in fig. 2.
Alternatively and according to another embodiment of the invention, the lock unit 4 has no means for detecting the status of the lock, and the control unit comprises a status register (not shown) of the lock. The control unit 24 is configured to update the status register of the lock each time control is given to switch the status of the lock. This embodiment thus allows to dispense with means for checking the state of the lock and simplifies the installation of the lock unit.
Thus, upon receiving a signal that the key is turned in the key cylinder of the vehicle shutter, a command to lock or unlock the shutter is sent. The lock or unlock command selectively considers a locked or unlocked state of the movable door, and controls switching of the state of the movable door in response to detected turning of the key.
