本发明公布了一种利用小径木边皮制造的宽幅面胶合木，包括胶合木本体，该胶合木本体外形为长条体，由第一半齿型多棱柱和第二个半齿型多棱柱组合胶压而成，所述第一半齿型多棱柱包括一相互平行且径长相等的相对侧平面、一个锯齿面和一个对平面，所述锯齿面和对平面相对设置，所述第二半齿型多棱柱由所述第一半齿型多棱柱的对平面的垂直平面进行对称剖切而得；本发明还公开了该胶合木的制造方法，包括木段准备、齿型多棱柱加工、接长工艺、后期处理、半齿型多棱柱加工、组坯工艺；本发明制造的大截面胶合木按照浸渍剥离、含水率、甲醛释放量指标进行测试分析，均符合《非结构用集成材》的国家标准。
