Illustratively, the first device and the second device are in a bluetooth connected state, and the first device is capable of determining the location of the second device using bluetooth positioning technology, or the second device is capable of determining the location of the first device using bluetooth positioning technology.
Illustratively, the first device is a cell phone and the second device is a tablet computer. Social software 'X letter' is operated on the first equipment and the second equipment, the 'X letter' has an instant messaging function, and the first client and the second client are logged in the 'X letter' same account 'XXXX 1233'.
Illustratively, the first device is a cell phone and the second device is a tablet computer. Social software 'QQ' is operated on both the first device and the second device, wherein the 'QQ' has an instant messaging function, the 'QQ' account logged in the first client is '00001233', and the 'QQ' account logged in the second client is '00001222'. Account "00001233" and account "00001222" are bound accounts, i.e., account "00001233" can receive new messages for account "00001222" and account "00001222" can also receive new messages for account "00001233".
Step 302, determining a distance between a first location and a second location;
the server/the first device/the second device determines the distance between the first position and the second position through the acquired first position of the first device and the acquired second position of the second device, namely, the distance between the first device and the second device.
Step 303, according to the distance, starting a message reminder of one of the first client and the second client.
Optionally, the message reminder includes: one or more of popup display, task bar head image flashing, icon display of unread message number, sound reminding and vibration reminding. The specific form of the message reminder is not limited in the present application.
If a new message is received, the server only starts the message reminding function of one client side of the two client sides according to the distance determined in the step; or the first equipment only starts the message reminding function of the first client according to the distance determined in the step; or the second device only starts the message reminding function of the second client according to the distance determined in the step. And starting the message reminding of one client side, thereby avoiding the message repeated reminding.
In summary, in the method provided in this embodiment, in two devices running clients with the same account or bound account, by acquiring the distance between the two devices, the message reminding function of the client on one device is started according to the distance, so that interference caused by repeated reminding of messages to the user is avoided.
In an alternative embodiment based on fig. 3, fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a message reminding method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present application, where the first device is a mobile device, and the second device is a computer device. In this embodiment, the method further includes steps 3041 and 3042:
step 3041, if the distance is greater than the first threshold, the message alert of the first client is turned on, and the message alert of the second client is turned off.
The first threshold is a length value, and the first threshold is not specifically limited in the present application.
Optionally, starting the message reminder of the first client includes: opening one or more of popup display, task bar head image flashing, icon display of unread message number, opening of voice prompt and opening of vibration prompt.
Optionally, the message alert of the second client is turned off, that is, the second device does not perform sound alert and vibration alert on the received new message.
If the user has viewed the new message at the first client, the user does not display any new message after opening the second client. If the user does not check the new message at the first client, the user opens the second device and does not find that the user receives the new message, and the user needs to open the second client to see the message which is not checked in the corresponding session list and determine that the new message is received. The session to which the new message belongs may be a group chat session or a session with a single contact.
With combined reference to fig. 5, the first device 510 is a cell phone and the second device 520 is a desktop computer. The first client running on the handset is the chat client "TIM" and the second client running on the desktop is "QQ". In the two clients logging in the same account, data related to contacts, messages, groups and multi-person group chatting and relationship chains are synchronized in a bidirectional mode. The mobile phone/desktop computer obtains the distance between the first device and the second device to determine to start the message reminder of one of the first client and the second client.
The first threshold is 20 meters. Initially, user 530 worked in front of a desktop computer, and the cell phone was also carried around, with a distance less than the first threshold. User 530 gets farther and farther away from the desktop computer carrying the handset until it is greater than the first threshold. After the distance between the mobile phone and the desktop computer is determined to be greater than 20 meters, the mobile phone end automatically starts the message reminding function of 'TIM', and the desktop computer end automatically closes the message reminding function of 'QQ'.
After receiving the new message, the mobile phone terminal vibrates and displays "receive new message" on the screen, thereby reminding the user 530 that the new message is received. And no message reminder is made at the desktop computer.
In one example, opening a message alert for a first client includes: determining a state of a screen of a first device; if the screen state is a bright screen state, starting a first-intensity message prompt of the first client; if the screen state is the screen turning state, starting message reminding of second intensity of the first client; wherein the first intensity is lower than the second intensity.
The comparison of the intensity between the first intensity and the second intensity may be a comparison of the frequency aspect of the message alert, or a comparison of the manner aspect of the message alert.
When the state of the screen is the screen-saving state, it means that the user is not using the first device, and the user is reminded by a more intense message to prevent the user from missing a new message.
Illustratively, the message reminder of the first strength is: a 2 second audible alert is made when new information is received. The message alert of the second intensity is: an audible alert is made for 5 seconds when new information is received.
Illustratively, the message reminder of the first strength is: an audible alert is made when new information is received. The message alert of the second intensity is: and carrying out sound reminding and vibration reminding when new information is received.
Illustratively, the message reminder of the first strength is: an audible alert is made when new information is received. The message alert of the second intensity is: and when new information is received, carrying out sound reminding, and displaying the received new information on the first equipment in a full screen mode.
Step 3042, if the distance is smaller than the first threshold, close the message alert of the first client and open the message alert of the second client.
Optionally, the starting of the message reminder of the second client includes: opening one or more of popup display, task bar head image flashing, icon display of unread message number, opening of voice prompt and opening of vibration prompt.
Optionally, the message alert of the first client is turned off, that is, the first device does not perform sound alert and vibration alert on the received new message.
Illustratively, with reference to FIG. 6 in combination, the first device 610 is a cell phone and the second device 620 is a desktop computer. The first client running on the handset is the chat client "TIM" and the second client running on the desktop is "QQ". The first threshold is 20 meters. The user 630 works in front of the desktop computer, the mobile phone is carried around, the distance is 1 meter, and is smaller than the first threshold, the desktop computer automatically starts the message reminding function of 'QQ', and the mobile phone automatically closes the message reminding function of 'TIM'.
Upon receiving the new message, the taskbar avatar corresponding to the second client on the desktop computer flashes, thereby alerting the user 630 that the new message was received. And the mobile phone end can not carry out message reminding.
In one example, opening a message alert for a second client includes: determining a state of a screen of a first device; and if the screen state is the screen turning state, starting the message prompt of the second client.
Further, when the distance between the two devices is smaller than the first threshold, if the state of the first device is the message screen state, which means that the user is not currently using the first device, the message alert of the second client is turned on, and the message alert of the first client is turned off.

When the distance between the first device and the second device is larger and larger, the user is far away from one of the devices and only carries one of the devices (such as the mobile terminal device). In this case, if two clients are still registered on two devices, power consumption is wasted for a device far from the user. Meanwhile, the user is difficult to monitor and operate the remote equipment in real time, so that certain privacy leakage risk is easily caused to the user.
The second device is controlled to log out of the second client, the second device can automatically log out of the second client, or prompt information indicating whether to log out of the second client is displayed on the first device, and the second device automatically logs out of the second client after receiving the confirmation operation of the user.
In summary, in the method provided in this embodiment, in two devices running clients with the same account or bound account, by acquiring the distance between the two devices, the message reminding function of the client on one device is started according to the distance, so that interference caused by repeated reminding of messages to the user is avoided.
The second equipment is controlled to quit logging in the second client, so that the power consumption of the second equipment is saved, and meanwhile, the risk of privacy disclosure is reduced.
It should be noted that, in the above embodiments, the turning on or off of the first client may be controlled by the first device or the server, so as to implement the method executed by the first device or the method executed by the server; similarly, the second client may be controlled by the second device or the server to perform the method executed by the second device or the method executed by the server in the above embodiments.
