Description

Circular comb for combing machine
Technical Field
The invention relates to a circular comb for a combing machine and a combing head (comb head) having such a circular comb.
Background
These types of circular combs are used in combing machines to comb out (combing out) a provided fiber mass (cotton, wool, etc.), wherein the fiber mass can be provided in the form of a lap wound onto a tube or in the form of individual fiber tufts. Comb nip rates (comb nips/min) have been greatly increased in recent years, which also results in increased productivity, but also increases mechanical stress on the circular comb carrier.
In practice, a circular comb for a combing machine consists of a circular comb carrier which is provided with a clamping hub with which the circular comb carrier is fastened in a rotationally fixed manner to a driven circular comb shaft. A clothing carrier containing a combing clothing which causes the ends of the fiber mass (also referred to as fiber tuft) provided by the gripper unit to be combed out is attached to a partial circumference of the circular clothing carrier. In an alternative embodiment, a circular comb carrier is used, which is mounted directly on the driven circular comb shaft.
The requirements imposed on such circular combs have increased; for example, the higher precision of the components requires that the combing action be precisely coordinated with the fibrous material to be combed. Due to these requirements, the adjustment options of the circular comb in the combing head have to be improved. In particular, an exact setting of the distance between the enveloping circle of the combed clothing and the circular comb axis contributes to an improved combing process. By such an adjustment, the distance between the lower clamping plate of the clamp and the enveloping circle of the comb clothing of the circular comb can be set to ensure optimum combing. Such adjustability by using arcuate spacer elements is illustrated and described, for example, in DE 29720656U 1. However, with such arcuate elements, it is not possible to make precise adjustments with low to minimal incremental dimensions. If the arcuate spacer element disclosed in DE 29720656U 1 is exchanged for another arcuate spacer element having a different thickness, for example to change the radius of the enveloping circle of the combed card clothing of a circular comb, the outer radius of the spacer element projecting in the direction of the carrier is thus changed, while the inner radius of the carrier (with respect to the carrier, it rests on the spacer element) remains constant. Thus, a tension may be caused between the carrier and the spacer element.
EP 0514319 a1 discloses different versions of circular combs with spacer elements. According to the disclosure of EP 0514319 a1, wedges can be used as spacer elements, whereby the wedges are fixed against falling out in the axial direction by means of stop screws. A disadvantage of the disclosed design is that positioning the wedges by moving them in the axial direction is complicated and therefore has to be carried out in the disassembled state of the circular comb. When the attachment of the circular comb segment is released, the previously set positioning points of the wedges are lost again, since the wedges on the roller body are free to move in the axial direction.
In addition, EP 2789716 a1 discloses a circular comb with a carrier which is provided with an inner section which projects towards the shaft and has a recess which is open in the direction towards the shaft and which extends in the longitudinal direction of the hollow profile and in which a support element is accommodated which is supported on the one hand via a first support surface on the base surface of the recess and on the other hand via a second support surface on the outer circumference of the shaft. A replaceable spacer element is disposed between the support element and the base surface of the recess. The aim is to allow the radius of the enveloping circle of the combed clothing to be set precisely by simply inserting precise spacer elements between the base body and the support element. However, it is disadvantageous that, depending on the spacer elements present, the distance between the lower clamping plate of the clamp and the enveloping circle of the comb clothing of the circular comb can only be adjusted in a stepwise manner. In addition, in order to readjust the distance, the circular comb must be removed from the combing device to allow replacement of the spacer elements.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a circular comb which allows a continuous adjustment of the distance between the lower clamping plate of the clamp and the enveloping circle of the combed clothing of the circular comb, wherein the adjustment can be varied without removing the circular comb.
This object is achieved by a device having the features of the independent claim.
A circular comb for a combing machine is proposed, wherein the circular comb has a combing clothing and a circular comb axis together with a clothing carrier and at least one circular comb carrier. The card clothing carrier is arranged on the circular comb carrier. At least two adjusting devices are arranged between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier in the respective end regions of the clothing carrier, said adjusting devices being used to adjust the distance between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier. As a result of the connection of the lower clamping plate of the gripper to the circular comb shaft, the distance between the lower clamping plate of the gripper and the enveloping circle of the combed card clothing also changes when the distance between the circular comb carrier and the card clothing carrier is adjusted.
The card clothing carrier has a card clothing support surface on its side facing away from the circular comb shaft. The combed card clothing is attached to the clothing support surface via suitable means, for example with screws or by welding or adhesive bonding. A combed clothing consisting of a separate steel wire strip (wire strip) mounted on the clothing support surface is used, or also a combed clothing consisting of prefabricated combing elements mounted on the clothing support surface. The card cloth support surface is positioned in the shape of a circular segment about the circular comb axis.
As is known from the prior art, the circular comb carrier can be provided as a disk having a length, viewed in the direction of the circular comb axis. The length of the circular comb carrier corresponds to only a portion of the length of the circular comb, wherein a plurality of such short circular comb carriers are used for fastening the combing clothing. The use of a plurality of circular comb carriers for a card clothing has the following disadvantages: it is difficult to orient the circular comb carrier in order to achieve a concentric arrangement of the combed clothing or clothing carrier relative to the circular comb shaft. The length of the circular comb carrier therefore advantageously corresponds to the length of the circular comb. This has the following additional advantages: the circular comb together with the combing clothing can be preassembled before installation in the combing machine.
The card clothing carrier is advantageously fastened in its respective end region, viewed in the direction of the circular comb axis, to the circular comb carrier via at least two detachable connecting elements. Screws have proven to be suitable as connecting elements. As a result of the high requirements imposed on the connection of the clothing carrier to the circular comb carrier as a result of the acceleration forces occurring, it has proven appropriate to screw the clothing carrier to the circular comb carrier after the adjustment.
After the connecting element for fastening the card clothing carrier to the circular comb carrier is released, the distance between the lower clamping plate and the enveloping circle of the combed card clothing positioned on the card clothing carrier can be easily adjusted via the adjusting device without having to remove the circular comb from the combing head when changing the setting. In the mounted state, the setting can therefore also be checked directly by measuring the distance between the lower nipper plate and the enveloping circle of the combed clothing positioned on the carrier. For this purpose, the circular comb in the mounted state can be rotated into a measuring position in which the distance can be set and measured. After setting, the card clothing carrier can be fixed by simply tensioning the connecting element for fastening it to the circular comb carrier.
The distance between the circular comb carrier and the card cloth carrier can be adjusted in various known ways, for example by means of set screws or eccentric screws. Between the card-clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier, the adjusting device according to the invention advantageously comprises a plate wedge (flat wedge) positioned in the end region of the circular comb, starting from the respective end of the card-clothing carrier in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the circular comb shaft, which plate wedge has a continuous cross-sectional tapering directed towards the card-clothing carrier or the circular comb carrier. As a result of this cross-sectional tapering, the distance between the card wire carrier and the circular comb is changed when the plate wedge is moved in the direction of the circular comb axis.
The continuous cross-sectional taper is provided by a bevel of the surface of the plate wedge facing the card wire carrier, the bevel having a wedge angle of 6 degrees or less. By selecting a wedge angle of less than 6 degrees, self-locking of the plate wedge is ensured. The plate-type wedges are thus held in place when the connecting elements of the card clothing carrier are tensioned onto the circular comb carrier.
In addition, it is advantageous if the corresponding connecting element of the clothing carrier, together with the circular comb carrier, extends through an opening provided in the special plate wedge. As a result, the card clothing carrier is not only fixed to the circular comb carrier, but at the same time the plate-type wedges are clamped firmly between the card clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier at the location of the cross-sectional tapering. In addition, passing the connecting element through the opening in the plate wedge prevents the plate wedge from slipping out at the sides during adjustment.
The contact surfaces of the plate wedges facing the circular comb carrier are advantageously formed integrally on a support surface provided on the circular comb carrier. The gapless contact of the plate wedges with the surface of the circular comb carrier is achieved by matching the shape of the circular comb carrier and the card clothing carrier (corordinate) at their contact position. In addition, by incorporating contours (e.g., longitudinal grooves), there is the option of achieving guided displacement of the plate wedges along the circular comb axis.
Advantageously, the card clothing carrier has a mating surface which corresponds to the inclined surface of the plate wedge and has the same wedge angle. The maximum self-locking effect of the two inclined surfaces occurs when the flat support is arranged between the card cloth carrier and the plate wedge.
The particular plate wedge is preferably provided with an adjustment screw engaging the cavity of the card cloth carrier, which adjustment screw is positioned with its axis parallel to the circular comb axis. As a result of the provision of the cavity, the adjusting device can be positioned between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier without the clothing carrier itself being significantly weakened. This is also advantageous for the aerodynamic behavior of the circular comb during its movement, compared to the arrangement of the adjusting device outside the card cloth carrier. In addition, due to the axially parallel arrangement of the adjusting screws, the plate wedges on the end face side can be adjusted from outside the circular comb and it is not necessary to remove the circular comb or parts thereof for adjustment.
Furthermore, the adjusting screw is preferably mounted in the card clothing carrier so as to be rotatable in its axial position, and the female thread is provided in a plate wedge, wherein the plate wedge is adjustable in its position relative to the card clothing carrier in the direction of the circular comb axis by: the adjustment screw is engaged with the female thread in the plate wedge by rotating the adjustment screw. Since the axial position of the adjustment screw does not change even during rotation due to the axial fixation, the plate wedge is axially displaced with respect to the circular comb axis in accordance with the pitch of the thread via the adjustment screw that is screwed (thread) into engagement with the female thread of the plate wedge. Both the card-clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier do not change their axial position, as a result of which the card-clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier are driven radially apart or brought together as a result of the displacement of the plate-type wedges.
Preferably, a holding device for the adjusting screw is provided to be rotatably held in the cavity of the card cloth carrier. This results in the entire adjusting device being arranged in the clothing carrier. The retaining device is particularly preferably a circlip (circlip). Alternatively, appropriate shapes of the cavity and the adjustment screw may be provided to achieve axial retention of the adjustment screw. The insertion of the circlip is an economical design that is easy to install for keeping the adjusting screw in its axial position.
The opening in the plate wedge is advantageously designed as a groove which opens out to the side facing away from the end of the clothing carrier. Such a design allows the plate wedge to be easily replaced without completely separating the card cloth carrier from the circular comb carrier. The design of the slot also prevents the plate wedge from slipping out at the sides during adjustment after loosening of the connecting element.
The distance between the card cloth carrier and the circular comb carrier is advantageously 0 mm to 1.5 mm. It has been found that by using plate wedges, it is possible to achieve adjustability of the distance within this range, and that this adjustability is also sufficient for the necessary adjustment of the distance between the lower nipper plate of the nipper and the enveloping circle of the combed clothing for the fibrous material to be processed in the combing installation.
The direction of rotation of the circular comb produces a feed side, which, in the case of the feed side, is the part of the combing clothing that first meets the fibre tuft to be combed. The circular comb moves through the fibre tuft as a result of its rotation until it leaves the fibre tuft on the discharge side of the combing clothing. The combing clothing, together with its enveloping circle, is usually positioned concentrically with respect to the circular comb axis. However, it has been shown that, due to the flow conditions caused by the movement of the circular comb, the distance between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier on the feed side of the combing clothing advantageously differs from the distance between the clothing carrier and the circular comb carrier on the discharge side of the combing clothing by 0.1 mm to 1.5 mm. Since there is the option of setting the distance on the feed side and on the discharge side in different ways, the combing process can be optimally matched to the requirements set by the fibrous material to be combed.
In addition, it is advantageous if, independently of the circular comb carrier, a compensating weight is mounted non-rotatably on the circular comb shaft via a fastening element. Thus, the circular comb carrier can be replaced without having to also remove the counterweight from the circular comb shaft. This is particularly advantageous when using pre-installed circular combs that are pre-conditioned to suit a particular combing process. The set of components, which once set, comprises the circular comb carrier, the card clothing carrier, the adjusting device and the combing card clothing, can be easily exchanged.
A combing head with a circular comb and a counterweight or balancing element is also proposed, wherein the circular comb has a clothing carrier with a clothing support surface and has at least one circular comb carrier, and the circular comb carrier is opposite the position of the counterweight or balancing element on the circular comb shaft, and the clothing carrier is fastened to the circular comb carrier via a connecting element, wherein the circular comb is designed according to the above description.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic side view of a combing head 1 of a combing machine according to the prior art. In the known combing machine, for example, eight such combing heads 1 are positioned adjacent to each other. The combing head 1 (of which only a part of the elements is illustrated) has a clamping unit which is supported in the frame of the combing machine and can be rotated to and fro via swivel arms 3 and 4 about a clamping shaft 5 and a circular comb axis 6. The jaw shaft 5 is driven by a driver (not shown in more detail) to impart a reciprocating motion to the jaw unit. A circular comb shaft 8 is positioned in the circular comb axis 6, to which the circular comb 7 is non-rotatably fastened. The circular comb shaft 8 together with its circular comb axis 6 is likewise driven continuously or discontinuously by a drive (not shown) in the direction of rotation 23. In the known method shown, the circular comb 7 fastened to the circular comb shaft 8 below the gripper unit is composed of two circular comb carriers 9 which are fixedly fastened to the circular comb shaft 6 at a distance from one another in the direction of the circular comb axis 6 and on whose outer circumference are fastened on the one hand a clothing carrier 10 and on the other hand a counterweight 11. As schematically illustrated, the fastening of the counterweight 11 takes place via screws 12, by means of which the counterweight 11 is attached to the circular comb carrier 9. The clothing carrier 10 is likewise fixedly connected to the circular comb carrier 9 via schematically illustrated connecting elements 24. The combing clothing 13 is fastened above the clothing carrier 10, which, like the counterweight 11, extends over the entire length L of the circular comb 7 (see fig. 4). In the known combing machines, the circumferential angle of the combing clothing 13 (also referred to as combing angle) is approximately 90 degrees.
The clamping unit is formed by a clamping frame 14 to which a lower clamping plate 15 and an upper clamping plate 16 are fastened. In the embodiment shown, the nipper unit is closed, wherein the fibre tuft 17 protruding from the nip point of the nipper unit is caught by the combing clothing 13 and combed out. The combing-out process is essentially determined by the distance C between the lower nipper plate 15 and the enveloping circle 40 of the combed clothing 13. Also, in the clamp frame 14, a feed roller 18 is rotatably supported above the lower clamp plate 15, the feed roller being driven in a stepwise manner by a ratchet drive (not shown). Via this feed roller 18, the lap (lap) 19 (or the individual fibre flocks) supplied to the combing device 1 is fed to the nip point of the nipper unit. After the combing operation of the fiber bundle 17 is completed, the nipper unit is rotated in the direction of the subsequent separation roller pair 20. During this rotation operation, the gripper unit opens and the combed-out end of the lap 19 or the fibre tuft 17 is laid onto the end of the previously formed fibre fleece 21 and is joined (solder) to this end under the influence of the nip point of the separating roller 20 and is transported away in the conveying direction 22.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic representation of two embodiments of a circular comb according to the invention in longitudinal section. The circular comb is shown with a length L along the circular comb axis 6, wherein the length L corresponds to a commonly used extension of the combing device. The circular comb axis 6 is at the same time the longitudinal axis of the circular comb shaft 8, on which the circular comb is mounted in a rotationally fixed manner via the circular comb carrier 9 or 30. The card clothing carrier 10 has a card clothing support surface 44 on the side facing away from the circular comb carrier 9 or 30. A comb cloth in the form of a separate wire needle or comb element (not shown) is mounted on the cloth support surface 44. However, as shown in the left embodiment, it is possible that the length M of the circular comb carrier 9 is shortened, since the card cloth support surface 44 does not absolutely have to extend over the entire length L. However, the length M of the circular comb carrier 30 advantageously corresponds to the length L of the circular comb, as shown in the right embodiment. If the circular comb carrier 30 is guided over the entire length L of the circular comb, it has proven suitable in practice to design the circular comb carrier 30 as a hollow profile.
The left half of fig. 2 shows an embodiment of a circular comb, wherein the circular comb has a circular comb carrier 9 and a clothing carrier 10. The circular comb carrier 9 has a length M and is present in a plurality, viewed over the entire length L, i.e. at both respective ends of the card clothing carrier 10. In the embodiment shown, the circular comb carrier 9 is composed of two half-shells which are fastened to the circular comb shaft 8 via tensioning screws 25. Spring wedges 45 are inserted for non-rotatably mounting the circular comb carrier 9 on the circular comb shaft 8. However, other anti-twist protection devices, such as locking pins, are contemplated. The card clothing carriers 10 are fastened to the respective circular comb carrier 9 via connecting elements 24. The adjusting device 27 is inserted into the end region 26 of the clothing carrier 10 between the clothing carrier 10 and the circular comb carrier 9. The adjusting device 27 serves to adjust the distance a between the clothing carrier 10 and the circular comb carrier 9. A counterweight 11 is fastened to the circular comb carrier 9 via screws 12 on the side of the circular comb carrier 9 opposite to the card cloth carrier 10. Despite the presence of the combed clothing on one side, a counterweight 11 is used to achieve a rotation of the circular comb shaft 8 which is virtually free of imbalance. The counterweight 11 thus has a length corresponding to the card cloth carrier 10.
The right half of fig. 2 shows an embodiment of a circular comb, wherein the circular comb has a circular comb carrier 30 and a clothing carrier 10. The circular comb carrier 30 has a length L and extends throughout the entire length L of the circular comb. In the embodiment shown, the circular comb carrier 30 is designed to extend over a length L and to be tensioned to the contour (profile) of the circular comb shaft 8 via a fastening screw 31. In order to mount the circular comb carrier 30 on the circular comb shaft 8 in a non-rotatable manner, a fastening screw 31 is guided through the circular comb shaft 8. The card clothing carrier 10 is fastened to the circular comb carrier 30 via the connecting element 24. The adjusting device 27 is inserted into the end region 26 of the clothing carrier 10 between the clothing carrier 10 and the circular comb carrier 30. The adjusting device 27 serves to adjust the distance a between the clothing carrier 10 and the circular comb carrier 30. The equalization element 28 is fastened to the circular comb shaft 8 via a fastening element 29 on the side of the circular comb shaft 8 opposite the card cloth carrier 10. Despite the presence of the combed clothing on one side, a balancing element 28 is used to achieve a rotation of the circular comb shaft 8 which is virtually free of imbalance.
Fig. 3 shows an enlarged schematic illustration of an embodiment of the adjusting device 27 according to the invention according to fig. 2. The adjusting device 27 is inserted between the card clothing carrier 10 and the circular comb carrier 9 and comprises a plate wedge 32 and an adjusting screw 38. The contact surfaces 34 of the plate wedges 32 facing the circular comb carrier 9 rest on the support surfaces 35 of the circular comb carrier 9. The contact surfaces 34 of the plate wedges 32 are adapted to the shape of the support surfaces 35 of the circular comb carrier 9, so that a gapless combination of the plate wedges 32 and the circular comb carrier 9 is possible.
The plate-type wedge 32 has an L-shaped design, wherein a first leg points radially from the circular comb carrier 9 to the card clothing carrier 10 and a second leg engages between the circular comb carrier 9 and the card clothing carrier 10 in the direction of the circular comb axis 6. The second leg of the plate-type wedge 32, which leg engages between the card carrier 9 and the card wire carrier 10, is provided on the side facing the card wire carrier 10 with a bevel 36, so that the effective cross section of the plate-type wedge 32 between the card carrier 9 and the card wire carrier 10 tapers continuously in the direction of the card axis 6, starting from the end 33 of the card wire carrier 10. In addition, the mating surface 37 of the card cloth carrier 10 facing the plate wedge 32 is provided with an inclination corresponding to the cross-sectional tapering of the plate wedge 32, thus having a wedge angle. If the axial position of the plate wedges 32 is now changed in the direction of the circular comb axis 6, the circular comb carrier 9 and the card clothing carrier 10 are moved in the radial direction towards one another, whereby the distance a between the circular comb carrier 9 and the card clothing carrier 10 is changed. The position of the plate wedges 32 can be changed until the card cloth carrier 10 rests on the circular comb carrier 9 and the distance a becomes zero.
In addition, the card clothing carrier 10 is fastened to the circular comb carrier 9 via a connecting element 24. Connecting element 24 engages through an opening 43 in plate wedge 32, wherein opening 43 is large enough that it is not held directly by connecting element 24 in any possible position of plate wedge 32. The plate-shaped wedges 32 are clamped between the circular comb carrier 9 and the clothing carrier 10 by tensioning the connecting elements 24 and are thus fixed in their position at that time.
To adjust the axial position of the plate-type wedge 32, a female thread 39 (which is positioned axially parallel to the circular comb axis 6) is provided in the first leg of the plate-type wedge 32, and an adjusting screw 38, which is likewise inserted with its axis 42 parallel to the circular comb axis 6, engages with the female thread. The adjusting screw 38 engages a cavity 40 provided for this purpose in the card cloth carrier 10. In the chamber 40, a holding device 41 (for example, a circlip) is provided, which serves to fix the adjusting screw 38 in its axial position relative to the card clothing carrier 10 and thus also relative to the circular comb carrier 9. When the adjusting screw 38 is rotated, the axial position of the plate wedge 32 is changed relative to the circular comb carrier 9 and the card cloth carrier 10 due to the axial fixing of the adjusting screw 38.
Fig. 4 shows a schematic illustration of a first embodiment of a circular comb at a viewing angle X according to fig. 2. The circular comb essentially comprises a circular comb carrier 9, a clothing carrier 10 and a combed clothing (not shown) fastened to the clothing carrier. The comb carrier 9 is formed as two half-shells which are braced against one another on the comb shaft 8 via a clamping screw 25. Spring wedges 45 are provided for non-rotatably mounting the circular comb carrier 9 on the circular comb shaft 8. The card clothing carrier 10 is fastened to the circular comb carrier 9 via the connecting element 24 and has a card clothing support surface 44 on the side opposite the circular comb carrier 9. The card cloth support surface 44 is positioned concentrically with respect to the circular comb axis 6 with respect to the circular comb axis 8. A counterweight 11 is fastened to the circular comb carrier 9 via screws 12 on the side of the circular comb carrier 9 opposite to the card cloth carrier 10. In addition, the adjusting device according to fig. 3 is inserted between the circular comb carrier 9 and the clothing carrier 10. These adjusting means are designed in the form of plate wedges 32 which cooperate with adjusting screws 38 (see fig. 3) and serve to set the distance a between the circular comb carrier 9 and the card-clothing carrier 10 on the feed side 46 of the circular comb and the distance B between the circular comb carrier 9 and the card-clothing carrier 10 on the discharge side 47 of the circular comb. The feed side 46 designates the part of the combing card clothing or clothing carrier 10 which first meets the fibre tuft to be combed, depending on the direction of rotation 23, i.e. at the front as viewed in the direction of rotation 23. The combing process can be influenced via different settings of the distances a and B.
Fig. 5 shows a schematic illustration of a second embodiment of a circular comb at a viewing angle Y according to fig. 2. The circular comb essentially comprises a circular comb carrier 30, a card wire carrier 10 and a combed card wire (not shown) fastened to the card wire carrier. The equalization element 28 is positioned on the opposite side of the circular comb carrier 30 from the card clothing carrier 10 and is fastened to the circular comb shaft 8 with a fastening element 29. The circular comb carrier 30 together with the balancing element 28 is tensioned to the circular comb shaft 8 via a fastening screw 31 extending through the circular comb shaft 8. The card clothing carrier 10 is fastened to the circular comb carrier 30 via the connecting element 24 and has a card clothing support surface 44 on the side opposite the circular comb carrier 30. The card cloth support surface 44 is positioned concentrically with respect to the circular comb axis 6 with respect to the circular comb axis 8. In addition, the adjusting device according to fig. 3 is inserted between the circular comb carrier 30 and the clothing carrier 10.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown and described. Within the scope of the patent claims, modifications and combinations of features are possible even if the features are illustrated and described in different exemplary embodiments.
