Description

无线前端电路
技术领域
本发明涉及无线前端电路,具体讲,涉及一种可重新配置的无线前端电路。
无线前端电路通常是为低噪声运算而设计的。这种运算需要使前端电路的诸如双极或MOS晶体管的输入装置的跨导-源阻抗积gm·Rs远大于1。依此理,由于静态电流决定了输入装置的跨导,从而导致电流消耗很高。
大多数情况下,信号强度是大大高于前端电路的灵敏度水平的。此时,为了降低供电电流,就使前端电路的偏置减小。噪声水平可能增加,但信/噪比仍可保持很高以不致降低所接收信号的质量。
但改变前端电路偏置使输入匹配变差并降低线性度和带宽,以使其难再被应用。降低输入装置的静电流将降低装置的过渡频率。对于诸如移动电话之类的高频应用来说,这是无选择余地的,因为过渡频率边际区域实在太低。输入装置的电流密度需要保持,这意味着需要在两个不同前端电路结构之间切换。这种用来改变前端电路结构的必要的切换将使噪声水平提高并且通常会使低噪声特性变差。另外,线性度方面通常也是问题。
发明概述
本发明的目的在于提供一种可重新配置的无线前端电路,在该电路中,当信号强度高时就使电路的功能降低。
本发明的目的是通过本发明的前端电路装置来实现的,其中前端电路的放大器是经由混频器而导通或关断的,而不是通过切换放大器的偏置电流或偏置电压,或者在信号通路上引入单独的开关或复用器来实现导通或关断的。
本发明的优点在于放大器的输入阻抗的改变小于在其供电电流被切换时的输入阻抗的改变。此外,在信号通路中不引入新电路元件,并且将不会破坏噪声特性。
附图的简短描述
下面将参考所附附图对本发明加以描述,在唯一的这一附图中示出了根据本发明的可重新配置的无线前端电路的实施例。
发明的详细描述
根据附图所示的本发明的可重新配置的无线前端电路的实施例,它包括一个低噪声放大器1和低电流线性放大器2。应当理解,其它类型的放大器也可应用,而且放大器的数量也不局限于只是两个。
低噪声放大器1的输入端和低电流线性放大器2的输入端两者都连接到并未详细公开细节的无线装置的天线端子3上。
低噪声放大器1的输出端则接到低噪声混频器4的第一输入端上。低噪声混频器4的第二输入端则连接到本机振荡器驱动开关6的第一输出端上。该开关6具有一个接到本机振荡器7上的本机振荡器输入端以及一个连接到控制电路7的控制输入端。
低电流线性放大器2的输出端接线性混频器5的第一输入端。线性混频器5的第二输入端则连接到本机振荡器驱动开关6的第二输出端上。
应当指出的是,如果采用了如上面所提到的两个放大器,则每个放大器就与其本身的混频器相关联。此外,每个混频器将连接到其本身的开关6的输出端上。
控制电路8被相应配置以便可以根据天线3接收的信号的强度和/或根据诸如干扰强度的任何其它参数来控制本机振荡器驱动开关6,以将混频器4和5连接到本机振荡器7上,或从其上断开。
在所示的实施例中,低噪声混频器4的输出端和线性混频器5的输出端分别经低噪声中频放大器10和低电流中频放大器11连接到公共中频放大器9的输入端上。
控制电路8被相应配置以如下方式控制本机振荡器驱动开关6。在高信号强度和/或高干扰强度时将低噪声混频器4从本机振荡器7上断开;在低信号强度和/或低干扰强度时,将低噪声混频器4连接到本机振荡器7上。
另外,在所示的实施例中,当由开关6使混频器4从本机振荡器7上断开时,混频器4被配置得使低噪声放大器1不消耗任何能量。另一种方案是,在低噪声混频器4从本机振荡器7上断开的同时,切断低噪声放大器1的静态电流。
如上面所提及的,可以使用多于两个的不同放大器和相关的混频器。因此,根据本发明,可以根据信号强度或诸如上面所提到的干扰强度的另一参数来在两个或两个以上的低噪声放大器-混频器级联之间切换。如上所述,对于低噪声的要求来说,一个放大器-混频器级联是最佳的,产生的是高功率,而其它的则对于低电流来讲是最佳的。可能是高线性度。通过在这两个级联之间切换,可以降低平均功耗。
如上面所描述的,本发明的优点在于放大器的输入阻抗变化小于供电电流改变时输入阻抗的变化,并且在信号通路中不会引入新电路元件,而这些新元件会破坏噪声特性。

Claims (5)

1.一种包括至少两个放大器(1,2)的无线前端电路,每个放大器的输入端与无线装置的天线端子(3)相连,每个放大器的输出端与相关的混频器(4,5)的第一输入端相连接,每个混频器(4,5)的第二输入端与本机振荡器(7)相连接,而每个混频器(4,5)的输出端与中频放大器(9)的输入端相连接,其特征在于:开关(6)是连接在本机振荡器(7)与每个混频器(4,5)的各第二输入端之间的,以分别将本机振荡器(7)分别连接到各混频器(4,5)上并从其上断开;其中控制电路(8)被配置来根据信号强度和/或干扰强度控制开关(6)。
2.如权利要求1的电路,其特征在于控制电路(8)被配置来控制开关(6),以根据高信号强度和/或高干扰强度将本机振荡器(7)从混频器之一(4)上断开,并根据低信号强度和/或低干扰强度将本机振荡器(7)连接到混频器(4)上。
3.如权利要求2的电路,其特征在于开关(6)被配置,以在本机振荡器(7)从所述混频器(4)上断开的同时切断相关放大器(1)的静电流。
4.如权利要求1-3任一权利要求的电路,包括两个放大器(1,2),其特征在于放大器之一为低噪声放大器(1),而另一个为低电流线性放大器(2)。
5.如权利要求4的电路,其特征在于每个混频器(4,5)的输出端分别经低噪声中频放大器(10)和低电流中频放大器(11)连接到公共中频放大器(9)的输入端上。
