堵塞耳道的另一结果是,身体产生的声音(诸如心跳和呼吸声)在耳道内被放大。通过添加麦克风106(图1)或206(图2),可以感测心跳并确定其速率。然后,每个耳机(或一个耳机,如果它们协调其动作)装载的处理器108可以从心跳信号中提取呼吸速率,并调整通过扬声器110向用户播放的夹带声音的时序。在图1的示例中,如在美国专利9,635,452中所描述的,在网112的后面示出了麦克风106和扬声器110,所述专利通过引用并入本文。麦克风可以被安装在扬声器110附近或之上,或者被集成到扬声器壳体中。在图2的示例中,麦克风206直接安装到PCB 208,并且网112是平坦的,或者可能不是必需的;耳塞内部的体积经由驱动器110周围的空间联接到耳道。只要将耳塞/耳道系统有效地密封在感兴趣的频率,麦克风将检测到来自耳道内部的目标声音。联接麦克风的其他配置
心跳从麦克风信号中得出,并且呼吸速率从心率变异性中得出。具体地,如图4所示,联接到堵塞的耳道的麦克风将心跳检测为频率约8至10Hz(心率本身约为1Hz)的信号中的能量峰值。由于此速率远低于掩蔽声音的频率范围,因此这些声音将不会干扰对心跳的检测。如果两个耳朵塞着麦克风,并且信号被传输到智能电话(或从一个耳朵传输到另一个耳朵)进行分析,则在每次采样时(诸如通过乘法)将两个信号的幅值相结合可以大大增加信噪比,如图5所示。将峰值查找算法应用到麦克风信号并观察连续峰值之间的距离产生了逐次心跳或即时心率值,如图6所示。
图6示出了即时心率的周期性变异性。这种变异性的周期恰好是呼吸频率-当用户吸气时,他们的心率增加,而当他们呼气时,他们的心率降低。应用另一峰值检测步骤或其他频率分析(诸如快速傅里叶变换(FFT)或将正弦拟合到曲线、拟合到即时心率或拟合到其梯度可以显示呼吸速率。
如果耳机恰好包括基于反馈的主动降噪(ANR)系统,以进一步阻塞环境声音,则ANR系统的系统麦克风将足以检测血液流动的声音并测量心率。但是,ANR系统可能消耗大量功率,并且对于睡眠集中式耳机可能是不适合或不必需的。由于呼吸和心率感测是非常窄的频带,因此,更简单的MEMS麦克风应该足够,并且可以使用功率非常低的部件,从而有益于耳机的整体电池寿命和部件尺寸。类似地,可以使用外部装置(诸如智能电话)对麦克风信号进行滤波和解调,以检测心率并从其提取呼吸速率,并相应地修改输出声音,但是通过在耳机内进行所有处理可以更好地延长电池寿命。用于处理的功率和用于通信的功率之间的权衡可能取决于与声学无关的因素(包括例如电池尺寸、天线放置和存储器要求)。
上述系统和方法的实施方案包括对于本领域技术人员来将显而易见的计算机部件和计算机实现的步骤。例如,本领域技术人员应当理解,计算机实现的步骤可以作为计算机可执行指令存储在计算机可读介质上,诸如例如硬盘、光盘、固态盘、闪存ROM、非易失性ROM和RAM。此外,本领域技术人员应该理解,计算机可执行指令可以在各种处理器(诸如例如微处理器、数字信号处理器和门阵列)上执行。为了便于阐述,并非上文所述的系统和方法的每个步骤或元件都在本文作为计算机系统的部分描述,但是本领域的技术人员将认识到,每个步骤或元件可能具有对应的计算机系统或软件部件。因此,通过描述其对应的步骤或元件(即,它们的功能),此类计算机系统和软件部件被启用,并且在本公开的范围内。
已描述了多个实施方式。然而,应当理解,在不脱离本文所述发明构思的范围的情况下,可进行附加修改,并且因此,其他实施方案在以下权利要求书的范围内。

Claims (21)

1.一种系统,包括:
耳机,所述耳机包括:
扬声器;
麦克风;
壳体,所述壳体支撑所述扬声器和所述麦克风;和
耳机末端,所述耳机末端包围所述壳体,所述耳机末端被配置为将所述扬声器和所述麦克风二者声学地联接到用户的耳道,并在声学上封闭所述用户的耳道的入口;
第二耳机,所述第二耳机包括:
第二扬声器;
第二麦克风;
第二壳体,所述第二壳体支撑所述第二扬声器和所述第二麦克风;和
第二耳机末端,所述第二耳机末端包围所述第二壳体,所述第二耳机末端被配置为将所述第二扬声器和所述第二麦克风二者声学地联接到所述用户的第二耳道,并在声学上封闭所述用户的第二耳道的入口;
处理器,所述处理器被配置为:
从所述麦克风接收输入音频信号;
从所述第二麦克风接收第二输入音频信号;
通过将来自所述麦克风的所述输入音频信号与所述第二输入音频信号进行组合并在所述组合的结果内检测峰值而在所述输入音频信号中检测频率为1Hz的峰值;
基于所检测到的峰值,计算即时心率;
测量所述即时心率内的振荡的频率;以及
基于所述振荡的所述频率,计算呼吸速率。
2.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述处理器被配置为通过计算所述即时心率的快速傅里叶变换(FFT)来测量所述即时心率内的所述振荡的所述频率。
3.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述处理器被配置为通过以下步骤测量所述即时心率内的所述振荡的所述频率:
计算所述即时心率的梯度;以及
计算所述即时心率的所述梯度的快速傅里叶变换(FFT)。
4.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述处理器被配置为通过检测所述即时心率的峰值来测量所述即时心率内的所述振荡的所述频率。
5.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述处理器被配置为通过将正弦函数拟合到所述即时心率来测量所述即时心率内的所述振荡的所述频率,所述正弦函数的频率是所述振荡的所述频率。
6.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中组合所述输入音频信号包括:在每次对所述输入音频信号和所述第二输入音频信号进行采样时,将所述输入音频信号和所述第二输入音频信号的幅值相乘。
7.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述处理器进一步被配置为基于所述呼吸速率来调整输出音频信号,并将所述输出音频信号提供给所述扬声器。
8.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其中调整所述输出音频信号包括将所述输出音频信号的节奏调整为比所检测到的呼吸速率小约每分钟一个周期。
9.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其中调整所述输出音频信号包括将所述输出音频信号从呼吸夹带声音转换为掩蔽声音。
10.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其中调整所述输出音频信号包括将所述输出音频信号从掩蔽声音转换为唤醒声音。
11.根据权利要求7所述的系统,其中,
所述耳机进一步包括用于存储声音文件的存储器;并且
提供所述输出音频信号包括从所述存储器检索第一声音文件。
12.根据权利要求11所述的系统,其中调整所述输出音频信号包括从所述存储器检索第二声音文件并使用所述第二声音文件来生成所述输出音频信号。
13.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述处理器被集成在所述耳机内。
14.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述处理器被集成在便携式计算装置内。
15.一种测量耳机的用户的呼吸速率的方法,所述方法包括:
从麦克风接收输入音频信号,所述麦克风由壳体支撑并通过耳机末端声学地联接到所述用户的耳道,所述耳机末端包围所述壳体并在声学上封闭所述用户的耳道的入口
从第二麦克风接收第二输入音频信号,所述第二麦克风由第二壳体支撑并通过第二耳机末端声学地联接到所述用户的第二耳道,所述第二耳机末端包围所述第二壳体,所述第二耳机末端在声学上封闭所述用户的第二耳道的入口;以及
在处理器中:
通过将来自所述麦克风的所述输入音频信号与所述第二输入音频信号进行组合并在所述组合的结果内检测峰值而在所述输入音频信号中检测频率约为1Hz的峰值,
基于所检测到的峰值,计算即时心率,
测量所述即时心率内的振荡的频率,以及
基于所述振荡的所述频率,计算呼吸速率。
16.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其中测量所述即时心率内的所述振荡的所述频率包括计算所述即时心率的快速傅里叶变换(FFT)。
17.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其中测量所述即时心率内的所述振荡的所述频率包括:
计算所述即时心率的梯度;以及
计算所述即时心率的所述梯度的快速傅里叶变换(FFT)。
18.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其中测量所述即时心率内的所述振荡的所述频率包括检测所述即时心率的峰值。
19.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其中测量所述即时心率内的所述振荡的所述频率包括将正弦函数拟合到所述即时心率,所述正弦函数的频率是所述振荡的所述频率。
20.根据权利要求15所述的方法,其中组合所述输入音频信号包括:在每次对所述输入音频信号和所述第二输入音频信号进行采样时,将所述输入音频信号和所述第二输入音频信号的幅值相乘。
21.根据权利要求15所述的方法,所述方法进一步包括,在所述处理器中:
基于所述呼吸速率调整输出音频信号,以及
将所述输出音频信号提供给所述耳机的扬声器。
