In summary, because the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome is unclear, western medicine mostly adopts symptomatic treatment in treatment, such as the administration of spasmolytic drugs for abdominal pain, the administration of antidiarrheal drugs for diarrhea, the administration of cathartic drugs for constipation, gastrointestinal motility drugs and the like, and in recent years, anti-depression treatment, the supplement of intestinal probiotics and the like are advocated, but the clinical curative effect is often unsatisfactory. The traditional Chinese medicine has obvious advantages in IBS treatment, and the curative effect of medicine in IBS treatment is superior to that of western medicine shown by domestic multi-center clinical research and systematic evaluation. The clinical observation result of the research shows that the application of the Shenque acupoint on the Chinese medicine for treating IBS is a safe and effective method. After treatment, symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, inappetence and the like obviously disappear, and the stool frequency and the stool properties are normal.
