Abstract

技术领域
本发明有关于电视功能,特别涉及一种用于增进节省电力的电视功能。
背景技术
如今,HDMI(高清多媒体接口)技术常用于电视。电视可以包括多个HDMI接口连接器,其用于将多个多媒体装置(例如,STB(机顶盒)装置,蓝光或DVD播放器,视频游戏控制台等)连接电视。在使用时,用户可以仅选择一个或最多两个多媒体装置(例如,在使用PIP/PAP(图像中图像或图像及图像)功能的情况下)以提供用于一次观看的多媒体内容。然而,当用户将提供多媒体内容的内容源从一个多媒体装置改变到另一个多媒体装置时,他或她可能忘记将最初用作内容源的多媒体装置关闭或待机,从而导致不必要和不想要的功耗。
发明内容
本发明目的是提供一种通过多个连接电视的多媒体装置通知电视用户的方法。
根据本发明,所述多媒体装置至少包括第一多媒体装置及第二多媒体装置,其中所述第一多媒体装置通过第一接口连接器连接所述电视,所述第二多媒体装置通过第二接口连接器连接所述电视。所述方法包括:由所述电视,基于所述第一多媒体装置通过所述第一接口连接器所提供的信号,向用户呈现所欲多媒体内容;由电视检测所述第二多媒体装置在所欲多媒体内容的呈现期间是否正在通过所述第二接口连接器提供多媒体内容的信号;及由所述电视,在检测出所述第二多媒体装置在所欲多媒体内容的呈现期间正在通过所述第二接口连接器提供多媒体内容的信号时,输出用户能感知的并且与所述第二多媒体装置所提供的多媒体内容的信号有关的通知。
本发明的通过多个连接电视的多媒体装置通知电视用户的方法,所述电视周期性地执行检测。
本发明的通过多个连接电视的多媒体装置通知电视用户的方法,所欲多媒体内容与要由所述第二多媒体装置所提供的多媒体内容其中的每一者是视频内容,并且输出通知包括显示指示出所述第二多媒体装置处于开机状态的文字讯息。
本发明的通过多个连接电视的多媒体装置通知电视用户的方法,还包含以下步骤:
在输出通知之后,由所述电视,通过所述第二接口连接器向所述第二多媒体装置发出命令,用于将所述第二多媒体装置置于待机模式。
本发明的有益效果在于:因为电视在多媒体内容的呈现期间扫描未使用的多媒体装置,电视可以通知用户关闭未使用的多媒体装置或使其处于待机状态,以便实现省电的目的。

在更详细地描述本发明前,应当注意,在认为适当的情况下,附图中重复使用附图标号或附图标记的终端接口连接器以指示对应或类似的元件,其可以选择性地具有类似的特性。
图1示例性地示出了一个系统,以实施一个用于通过多个连接电视1的多媒体装置2,3,4,5通知所述电视1的用户的方法的实施例。在所述实施例中,所述电视1示例性地具有四个分别连接多媒体装置2,3,4,5的HDMI连接器(接口连接器)“HDMI_1”,“HDMI_2”,“HDMI_3”,“HDMI_4”,以及两个HDMI接收器12,14,但是本发明不限于此。所述多媒体装置2,3,4,5中的每一者可以是STB装置、蓝光和DVD播放器、视频游戏控制台、计算机或能通过HDMI向所述电视1提供多媒体内容的任何其他装置。
进一步参考图2,所述实施例示例性地包括步骤21,22,23。在步骤21中,所述电视1操作来基于由所述多媒体装置2,3,4,5其中一者(下文中例示为所述多媒体装置2)通过对应的HDMI连接器(例如,“HDMI_1”)所提供的信号,向用户呈现所欲多媒体内容。详细地,所述电视1将所述HDMI接收器12,14其中一者(例如,HDMI接收器12)连接HDMI连接器“HDMI_1”,用于接收来自所述多媒体装置2的信号,从而呈现所欲多媒体内容。
在呈现所欲多媒体内容期间,所述电视1使用另一个HDMI接收器(例如,HDMI接收器14)以逐个检测方式,检测其他多媒体装置3,4,5中的每一个多媒体装置是否正在通过于背景(Background)的对应的HDMI连接器提供多媒体内容(例如,视频内容)的信号(步骤22)。所述HDMI接收器14可以检测可以包括在HDMI信号中的诸如SYNC信号、时脉信号、场频率、多条垂直线、多条水平线等的信息,以确定被检测的多媒体装置是否正在提供多媒体内容的信号。实际上,可以周期性地执行背景检测(Background Detection)。例如,所述电视1可以每两分钟逐个背景检测的方式将所述HDMI接收器14连接到未用于呈现多媒体内容的HDMI连接器3,4,5,但是本发明不限于此。在一个实施中,背景检测的频率是用户能规划的。
在一个实施例中,所述电视可以仅包含一个HDMI接收器,因此当用户正在观看由所述多媒体装置其中一个经由HDMI连接器连接到所述电视的多媒体装置所提供的多媒体内容时,不能执行背景检测,因为HDMI接收器正在被HDMI连接器占用来呈现多媒体内容。然而,在用户正在观看通过调谐器或经由非HDMI接口连接到电视的另一个装置所提供的多媒体内容的情况下,HDMI接收器未被占用,因此多媒体装置的背景检测仍然能被执行。
在检测出其他多媒体装置其中一者于呈现所欲多媒体内容期间通过对应的HDMI连接器正在提供多媒体内容的信号时,在步骤23中,所述电视1输出用户能感知(例如,以文字讯息的形式、音频讯息)且与所述多媒体装置所提供的信号有关的通知。举例来说,在检测出所述多媒体装置3于所述多媒体装置2呈现所欲多媒体内容期间正在提供多媒体内容的信号时,所述电视1可以显示“连接HDMI_2的装置处于ON状态但未用于观看,可以将装置置于待机状态以节省电力”,从而通知用户关闭未使用的装置或将未使用的装置置于待机模式以节省电力。在一个实施例中,所述电视1还可以通过所述HDMI连接器“HDMI_2”向所述多媒体装置3发出符合于HDMI-CEC(HDMI-消费者电子控制)规范的命令,以将所述多媒体装置3置于待机模式,但是本发明不限于此。
本发明使用HDMI来实现所述实施例,因为HDMI-CEC规范支援上述操作,但是本发明不限于此。任何支援这些操作的接口都能用来实现所述实施例。例如,背景检测也可以使用DVI(数字视频接口)和VGA(视频图形阵列)来实施。
因此,因为电视在多媒体内容的呈现期间扫描未使用的多媒体装置,电视可以通知用户关闭未使用的多媒体装置或使其处于待机状态,以便实现省电的目的。

Claims (4)

1.一种通过多个连接电视的多媒体装置通知电视用户的方法,所述多媒体装置连接所述电视并至少包含第一多媒体装置及第二多媒体装置,所述第一多媒体装置通过第一接口连接器连接所述电视,所述第二多媒体装置通过第二接口连接器连接所述电视,其特征在于,所述方法包含以下步骤:
由所述电视,基于所述第一多媒体装置通过所述第一接口连接器所提供的信号,向用户呈现所欲多媒体内容;
由所述电视,检测所述第二多媒体装置在所欲多媒体内容的呈现期间是否正在通过所述第二接口连接器提供多媒体内容的信号;及
由所述电视,在检测出所述第二多媒体装置在所欲多媒体内容的呈现期间正在通过所述第二接口连接器提供多媒体内容的信号时,输出用户能感知的并且与所述第二多媒体装置所提供的多媒体内容的信号有关的通知。
2.根据权利要求1所述的通过多个连接电视的多媒体装置通知电视用户的方法,其特征在于:所述电视周期性地执行检测。
3.根据权利要求1所述的通过多个连接电视的多媒体装置通知电视用户的方法,其特征在于:所欲多媒体内容与要由所述第二多媒体装置所提供的多媒体内容其中的每一者是视频内容,并且输出通知包括显示指示出所述第二多媒体装置处于开机状态的文字讯息。
4.根据权利要求1所述的通过多个连接电视的多媒体装置通知电视用户的方法,其特征在于,还包含以下步骤:
在输出通知后,由所述电视,通过所述第二接口连接器向所述第二多媒体装置发出命令,用于将所述第二多媒体装置置于待机模式。
