A waste bin tail switching mechanism of the type described in any one of claims 1 to , wherein said waste bin tail switching mechanism includes a tail assembly mounted at the discharge opening of the tail of the waste bin, a sealing strip surrounding said discharge opening being disposed on the end surface of the tail of said waste bin, said tail assembly including a tail hinged to said waste bin, an upper hook hinged to said waste bin by a hinge axis and a lower hook hinged to said waste bin by a second hinge axis and located below said upper hook, a carrying tray disposed on said waste bin and facing said upper hook, and a second carrying tray disposed on said waste bin and facing said lower hook, said tail having a tail 369 pin and a second tail pin hinged to said waste bin by a hinge pin 3727, said tail being hinged to the top of said waste bin by a hinge pin 6865 mounted in said kidney-shaped hole, the length of said tail 6329 pin being perpendicular to the end surface of said tail pin, said tail being locked between said tail 630 pin and the end surface of said tail of said waste bin, said tail 635 being locked to said hinge axis of said waste bin by said hinge axis between said hinge axis and said tail hinge axis , and said second carrying tray 465, said tail hinge axis , said tail hinge pin being locked between said tail 635 and said tail hinge axis , and said tail of said tail.

  8. 8. A refuse compression arrangement according to claim 6, characterized in that the other end of the arcuate guide plate extends past the lowest point of movement of the free end of the scraper.
  9. 9. A refuse compression arrangement according to claim 6, characterized in that the centre of rotation of the scraper coincides with the centre axis of the arcuate guide plate.
  10. 10. A refuse compression arrangement according to claim 6, characterised in that the free end of the scraper is movable upwardly to a position in sealing contact with the upper end face of the feed opening.
