Description

Method for organizing laundry to be treated and system for organizing laundry
Technical Field
The invention relates to a method for organizing laundry to be treated and a system for organizing the laundry. The invention relates in particular to a method for organizing laundry to be treated, which is provided with a marking/marking (also referred to herein as an identifier), and to a system for organizing laundry to be treated, which is provided with a marking, which system comprises a storage container, a reader and a display device.
Background
The technical development of laundry treatment appliances has led to improvements in the area of environmental protection and laundry protection, energy consumption and process optimization. The new washing machines are more environmentally friendly than a few years ago in terms of water consumption and detergent consumption. The technical development of components and washing methods continues to achieve a lower energy consumption and a continuously increasing number of washing programs, options and special programs which, while offering the user a plurality of possibilities for optimally caring for and cleaning the laundry, nevertheless presuppose that the user knows the provision of the programs and options of his washing machine.
For optimum laundry care, it is important here to classify the laundry to be washed, for example, according to different criteria. Important criteria here are the various elaborations of the color of the laundry, for example dark (black, dark blue, grey), white (white, beige, aqua), colored (blue/green/red/orange/pink; sometimes further classified according to the colors dark and light). Further criteria are the type of textile and the temperature used for washing and the type of laundry (e.g. shirt, underwear, kitchen wipe, bedding, pet clothing). It is important in sorting to make the right decision to ensure that the clothing items are not damaged, since the addition of wrong colours during washing loading may cause staining to occur, or the washing of a certain type of laundry in an inappropriate program (for example at an inappropriate washing temperature) may irreparably damage the laundry.
On the other hand, the user of the laundry treatment appliance is usually not certain about the correct loading for the different treatment programs. Here, for example, there is a fear that the laundry treatment appliance is overloaded, since the washing performance may be insufficient and/or there may be a fear that the life cycle of the appliance is short. On the other hand, when the full accommodation capacity of the drum of the laundry treating appliance may not be fully utilized, there is a fear that: resources are wasted.
Efficient budgeting is important in view of professional and personal activities of users such as laundry washing machines and the substantial deadlines associated therewith. Here, the budget plan in terms of laundry treatment plays an important role. Although household appliances already offer a number of possibilities for optimal treatment of laundry. However, planning and execution at the right time always still resides in the user. Thus, the previously mentioned complex classification and decision processes become difficult due to additional events or goals of the user, such as: the desire for efficiency in the sense of as little wash load as possible, a fixed time window for washing, or an urgent need for laundry that must be washed immediately. In this case, the classification of the different items of laundry to be washed, the selection of the items of laundry to be washed at a specific point in time, or the memory of when a specific laundry treatment program should be activated, may represent a significant additional expenditure for the user of the laundry treatment appliance, depending on the professional or personal time allocation.
This may result in: the correct time for the laundry treatment, in particular for washing soiled laundry, is no longer possible due to a too tight plan or the wrong treatment program is selected, for example due to a time rush, which may ultimately lead to damage of the laundry. It would therefore be desirable to improve the organization (organization) of the laundry to be treated, in particular to be cleaned.
It is known that laundry is equipped with transponders (transponders) which contain information about the laundry and which can be read off in a contactless manner and in large numbers in one go by a reader.

The publication DE 10 2011 087 A1 describes a household appliance for the treatment of treatment products, wherein the household appliance has a control device for carrying out all the necessary treatment steps in order to achieve a treatment effect according to the specification in relation to the treatment product, and wherein information about the treatment product can be read in by an input control means in the control device of the household appliance when the treatment product is inserted into the household appliance.
Disclosure of Invention
Against this background, the object of the present invention is to provide a method and a system for better organizing the laundry to be treated (in particular to be cleaned). In this case, it is preferably intended to be able to meet the requirements of the user of the laundry treatment appliance and/or to perform resource-and laundry-friendly treatment of the laundry. Preferably, the user of the laundry treatment appliance should be enabled to always wash an optimum batch of laundry according to his varying goals and to obtain a profile about the laundry (dirty laundry) he is currently about to clean.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a method for organizing items of laundry to be treated, which are provided with markings, and by a system for organizing these items of laundry. Preferred embodiments of the method according to the invention correspond to preferred embodiments of the system according to the invention and vice versa, even if this is not explicitly emphasized.
The subject of the invention is therefore a method for organizing laundry to be treated, in particular laundry to be cleaned, which is provided with a marking, comprising the following steps:
(a) Providing a storage container for laundry to be treated, wherein the storage container is equipped with a reader for the marking, which reader is provided for: reading the mark if the laundry to be treated is placed in the storage container;
(b) Placing the washings to be processed into a storage container, so that the reader can record the washings placed into the storage container according to the mark of the washings;
(c) Creating a list of the items of laundry (inhalsverzeichnis) present in the storage container after insertion into the storage container, wherein each item of laundry is assigned a property which is important for the treatment (in particular for the washing thereof);
(d) An analytical evaluation of the list with respect to the batch of laundry to be removed from the storage container for at least one treatment program; and
(e) The results of the analytical assessment are displayed on a display device.
"laundry" in the sense of the present invention is all textiles treated in the household by means of a treatment program.
The term "treatment" here includes in particular the cleaning of the items of laundry (preferably in a domestic appliance by a washing method). Indeed, the term "processing" as used herein also includes: drying, coloring and dipping the washings. It is therefore preferred that the laundry to be treated involves washing the laundry to be cleaned. Here, not only washing by hand (hand washing) but also washing in a washing machine or a washer-dryer is considered. Thus, the treatment program may also include hand washing.
Concept of "batch of washings
Figure GDA0003879880770000051
"in particular relates to a group of items of laundry which can be treated by means of a defined treatment program (in particular a washing program).
A "signature" (i.e. identifier) in the sense of the present invention is, for example, a univocal identification of the laundry based on a sufficiently long random number. The logo (or identifier) may be, for example, a barcode or a QR code. In any event, these indicia may be read by a reader.
The laundry may have a mark that has been determined by the manufacturing. Alternatively or additionally, suitable flags may also be set by the user. Generally, the determined washing information and care information are applied to one laundry. In general, these specific washing and care information are associated with the respective items of laundry in the reader, in a database associated with the reader and/or in an external server. The database can be set by the manufacturer of the laundry with predefined information about the laundry. In some preferred embodiments, however, the laundry items (for example, the database change possibilities or expansion possibilities that can be implemented for the user) can also be assigned additional information. Depending on the already existing content of the database, this information may relate to: such as colour, image, date of purchase, owner, similar laundry, which may be treated together or, in the absence of a clean spare article, may be used instead, according to the user's pre-specifications. The recorded washing (including the information added by the user) can thus constitute a personalized database. Preferably, all this information is taken into account in the analytical assessment instrument for the analytical assessment according to step (d).
Ideally, the identifier is a transponder. Transponders are electronic devices which respond to a defined electromagnetic beam and reply with their own reply signal. In this case, the transponder automatically and contactlessly transmits information to the receiver. In such a case, the reader may also be referred to as a transponder reader
Figure GDA0003879880770000061
The concept "storage container" is to be understood broadly. In this context, reference may be made to a container in the narrower sense, for example a laundry basket, but also to a cabinet, cabinet compartment or, in general, to a location: the laundry arranged for treatment is temporarily stored at the site location prior to treatment.
The storage container may not have an internal structure, and thus, laundry is stored in the storage container in an unfinished manner. However, in order to better organize the laundry and the subsequent treatment (in particular washing treatment) to be carried out, it may be advantageous if the storage container has compartments
Figure GDA0003879880770000062
For different batches of washings. In this embodiment, in order to use the compartments efficiently, after the laundry has been recorded, a recommendation for the association between the recorded laundry and the specific compartment is displayed to the user on the display device.
In an additional or alternative embodiment of the method according to the invention, the storage container comprises a device for integrating (zusmammenstellung) washing stock for batches of washing stock to be removed from the storage container for at least one treatment program. It is possible here to refer to, for example, a robot arm which integrates the laundry of such laundry batches according to a marking. The integrated batch of laundry can be removed by the user and inserted into the laundry treatment appliance. Alternatively, suitable transport devices can also be used for transporting and placing the laundry into the laundry care appliance.
According to the invention, the storage container is associated with a reader for the marking. The term "association" is to be understood broadly in this context. For example, a reader may be provided which is mounted on or in the storage container. In particular, the reader may be mounted on an access opening of the storage container. The reader does not, however, have to be fixedly mounted on or in the storage container. The reader can therefore also be configured as a mobile device which is only in the vicinity of the point in time at which the items of laundry to be treated are inserted into the storage container.
The reader is arranged to read the indicia. The data read in are not particularly limited in other respects as long as the reader can transmit them to the analysis and evaluation device. Such transmission may be done wired or wirelessly. Preferably, the reader comprises a communication interface for wirelessly communicating with the analytical assessment device. The reader may be the reader itself or, however, additionally have an input device and/or a display device. For example, the reader may have the possibility of inputting the position of the laundry to be read in. The location may be, for example, a dirty-laundry container. Relevant to this is the assumption that: the laundry read in at the location is suitable as dirty laundry.
In general, the transponder reader has a certain location (standard) so that, in addition to the information of the reply signal from the transponder, it can also transmit its own position, for example the position "dirty laundry container". In principle, however, the transponder reader may be of a stationary or movable configuration. Thus, the laundry to be treated can be automatically interpreted as dirty laundry.
The transponder reader can be installed by the user in any location, where the user collects the laundry to be treated, as long as this location enables the entered laundry to be recorded according to its identification. Once the items of laundry are placed in the storage container by the user, they are detected on the basis of the installed transponder. The additional effort required by the user for manually reading in is eliminated, as may be the case when using a smartphone.
However, smartphones equipped with a suitable App are also particularly suitable as readers.
It is preferred according to the invention that the properties important for the treatment of laundry comprise: type, material, colour, point of time of insertion into the storage container and/or stock of such or comparable laundry (Bestand).
In step (c), the characteristics are associated, which can be done via an already existing database, in which data provided by the manufacturer of the laundry can be taken into account if necessary. If necessary, the user can then extract these washing and care information from the items of laundry and assign them directly to the items of laundry. This can be done, for example, manually or by a reproduction of the care label. Additional information (e.g., date of purchase, subjectively confirmed soiling, color, etc.) can also be added by the user. In any event, the user may make their own manifest as a personalization database, which may be moved to the cloud as part of, or attached to, an external server. Such a personalized database may also be provided for other services, if desired. Naturally, alternatively or additionally, local storage of the personalization database (i.e. storage in the home or in the mobile device) is also possible.
In such a personalized database, preferably also a detailed description of the laundry care appliances available in the household and the possible loading and treatment programs carried out therewith can be stored and suitable algorithms (or analysis and evaluation software in general) can be taken into account together for determining the laundry batch and, if necessary, the recommendation of the treatment (manner).
Such a personalization database preferably comprises areas for the contents of the storage container and for the contents of a wardrobe, which together define the laundry inventory of the household or family members concerned, as long as all the laundry not present in the storage container is assigned to the wardrobe.
The absence or presence of clean laundry of the same kind in the wardrobe can be taken into account together in the analytical evaluation of the list according to step (d).
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, all the items of laundry introduced into the storage container up to now are therefore evaluated analytically with respect to the inventory of the items of laundry. This enables the user to organize the laundry to be treated even better, since the user can determine from the laundry stock and from a comparison with the contents of the storage container: how much and how much clean laundry, for example laundry types, is still present in the wardrobe. This assumes that: the laundry inventory is updated with respect to the laundry removed from the laundry inventory. This can be done automatically, for example by also placing the reader in a wardrobe, or by user input (for example by means of a touch-sensitive display screen of a portable mobile device). In any case, it is preferred that this specification is also given in consideration of the analytical assessment according to step (d).
According to the invention, a warning message can also be output to the user on the display device when it has been ascertained that the laundry items of the predefined type are no longer present in the wardrobe.
In a preferred embodiment of the method, the insertion of the laundry into the storage container and the removal of the laundry from the storage container are evaluated analytically with respect to the behavior of the user over a predefined reference time period. It is particularly possible that the analysis assessment software also takes into account: the point in time of placement into a storage container; the settling duration (i.e., the duration of storage in the storage container); and the time point of removal of the laundry. In this way, for example, it can be determined that: textile flow (textilfloats), washing frequency and wearing frequency of the individual items of laundry. This information may also be used for another service.
Furthermore, it is preferred according to the invention that the laundry is arranged in a treatment batch (behandlengsponten) in the storage container, taking into account characteristics important for the treatment of the laundry. In this case, the processing batch is preferably displayed to the user on a display device automatically or as requested by the user. It is also preferred here that the display of the processing batches is carried out in accordance with a predetermined priority/priority order (priorierung) of the processing batches. Here, the concept "treatment batch" means, in contrast to the concept "laundry batch", that: the integration of the laundry batch in space already takes place (or exists).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, if the evaluation unit also contains a detailed description of the laundry treatment appliance in the household concerned, its properties and in particular of the possible treatment programs and options, an optimal treatment program can also be assigned to the laundry batch according to the detailed description or the user's specification and displayed to the user on the display device.
According to the present invention, the display device is not limited. Thus, the display device can be integrated into a laundry treatment appliance. Preferably, however, a portable mobile device is employed as the display device. Preferably, the portable mobile device has a touch-sensitive display screen. While using the mobile device, the user can check everywhere: whether the individual items of laundry are still in the storage container (for example a dirty-laundry container) or have been washed, for example.
Different information in the form of recommendations or facts can be displayed to the user on the display device. Thus, the user can be told the current status of his laundry, for example by App in a smartphone or tablet. The user can be informed of: whether and which laundry is already located, for example, in the dirty-laundry container or whether no laundry is already located, for example, in the dirty-laundry container. The latter may mean in particular: these are still available in the wardrobe as clean laundry. In particular, the user can also be provided with a recommendation for an optimal batch of laundry (possibly prioritized), wherein preferably, in particular, the user's varying goals can also be taken into account. For example, the recommendation is determined based on information in a database in the cloud according to a determined algorithm.
The preferred method consists in displaying on a display device the achievement of the quantity of laundry (Erreichen) required for the resource-efficient treatment of the laundry of a laundry batch. For example, the user can be told, automatically or after user input, via the display device: the ideal amount for the batch of laundry has been reached (e.g. five shirts for a "shirt" washing program).
Preferably, the display device is also arranged for user input. The possible input means and methods on the mobile device according to the invention are not limited, however, naturally depend on the possibilities of the mobile device used. Such input can take place, for example, in the form of a cue word, but also in the form of a related word to a complete sentence. The input can take place in text form and/or acoustically (for example by voice input). However, the input can also take place in the form of a selected image (for example by means of a correspondingly formed symbol).
Overall, it is preferred that, in step (d), too, more or less user-initiated presettings are carried out, i.e. batches of laundry to be treated are recommended according to these presettings. Thus, a user of a washing machine or washer-dryer may wish to: at a determined point in time, wash as much of its soiled laundry as possible in as few passes as possible. For example, cloud (Cloud) can calculate the most efficient division of dirty laundry into different laundry batches by algorithms, wherein, for example, loading recommendations, textile type, color, temperature, etc. can be taken into account at the same time. In this case, the characteristics (in particular the possibilities) of the execution of the treatment program of one or more laundry treatment appliances in the household can also be taken into account.
On the other hand, the user may wish to wash a portion of the dirty laundry immediately. The user can be informed by an analysis rating in the cloud: which piece of dirty laundry is also washed at the same time.
For the analytical assessment in step (d), the user can also specify, for example, by means of suitable instructions that can be taken into account by the analytical assessment software: dirty clothes do not get dirty and stored wet for a long time. This may be of importance in particular in the case of placement site locations (treatment containers in the sense of the present invention) with high air humidity and temperature. When the predetermined dwell time is reached or exceeded, the organization (manner) of the laundry to be treated, which is provided according to the invention, can then be set for the laundry to be washed and the recommendations can be displayed on the display device accordingly, wherein, in addition, the ambient temperature and the air humidity can also be taken into account in the calculation of the dwell time.
Furthermore, the subject of the invention is a system for organizing laundry to be treated, which is provided with a marking, comprising a storage container, a reader and a display device, the system preferably being a smartphone or a tablet, wherein the reader and the display device are provided for data exchange with an analytical evaluation device, so that the system can carry out a method comprising the following steps:
(a) Providing a storage container for laundry to be treated, wherein a reader for a marking is associated with the storage container, and the reader is provided for: reading the mark if the laundry to be treated is placed in the storage container;
(b) Putting the washings to be processed into the storage container, so that the reader can record the washings put into the storage container according to the mark of the washings;
(c) Creating a list of the items of laundry present in the storage container after insertion into the storage container, wherein each item of laundry is assigned a property which is relevant for the treatment (in particular the washing of the items of laundry);
(d) Analyzing the list with respect to the batch of laundry to be removed from the storage container for at least one treatment program; and
(e) The results of the analysis evaluation are displayed on a display device.
For this purpose, in general, analytical evaluation devices are present in the system, in which an analytical evaluation of the list is carried out in step (d) in order to integrate (generally according to the user's specifications) the appropriate batch of laundry.
In a preferred embodiment of the system, the analysis and evaluation device is an external server, which is preferably arranged in the cloud.
In general, the reader is connected to a database, which is preferably located in the cloud. In this case, the reader preferably has a communication interface for wireless communication with the evaluation device (or database).
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the system according to the invention, the storage container has at least one sensor for the conditions in the storage container. Preferably, a temperature sensor and/or a humidity sensor is used for this purpose. Particularly preferably, a temperature sensor as well as a humidity sensor is used. That is, overall, in the case of high temperatures and/or high humidity values (in which, in general, the air humidity is measured), the storage duration of the items of laundry to be treated in the storage container should be as short as possible.
In one embodiment of the invention, the storage container can additionally be assigned a sensor for determining the degree of contamination in the case of the items of laundry to be cleaned. Preferably, a spectral sensor, in particular a sensor operating in the NIR range, is used for this purpose. Thus, for example, the type and degree of soiling of the laundry can be determined, for example, when the laundry is introduced. In this way, in step (d), the laundry batches to be processed and their preferred order can also be determined more accurately with respect to the execution time point of the washing program. If necessary, the processing program can be adapted more precisely to the current needs of the user.
The laundry treatment appliance to be used in the sense of the present invention is not limiting according to the invention. In a preferred embodiment, however, such a laundry treatment appliance is a washing machine or a washer-dryer.
The laundry treatment appliance which can be used for the purpose of the present invention can advantageously have an interface for wireless data transmission, so that the laundry treatment appliance can be integrated particularly well into the system according to the invention.
The invention has a number of advantages. The invention realizes that: the user of the invention can always obtain an optimal recommendation for the classification of the laundry, wherein his goal can be predetermined. Overall, the efficiency of the laundry treatment can be improved, not only the efficiency of the organization of the laundry to be treated (i.e. in particular by washing the laundry to be cleaned), but also the efficiency of its original treatment (in particular in a laundry treatment appliance such as a washing machine). Thereby, the user can save time and effort because: in some embodiments of the invention, the user is always able to wash the largest possible batch of laundry, thus having an overall small (number of) wash load. Furthermore, the user can use the special program for the more targeted treatment (in particular cleaning) of his laundry and thus care for his laundry in a differentiated manner, even better and with less effort. In addition, the washing can be disposed of in a resource-saving manner. That is, in general, small batches of laundry for the treatment program can be avoided because: in some embodiments of the invention, in case of an emergency, a small wash batch can be made up with suitable further washes. Finally, improved efficiency can be achieved by incorporation into everyday life. That is, the user can, for example, optimally incorporate laundry care into daily life, as the user can in some embodiments of the invention obtain such advice: how to fit e.g. a laundry treatment into a fixed time window between two periods. Furthermore, the user is able to obtain a better profile about his washing, in some embodiments of the invention, not only about the clean washing in the wardrobe but also about the washing to be washed in the storage container. Finally, it is pointed out that the invention achieves improved hygiene, since long-term storage of soiled and possibly damp items of laundry can be avoided.
Overall, the present invention achieves: the appropriate laundry batch for the optimum laundry care is automatically (optionally, variably predefined by the user) integrated on the basis of the storage container contents and displayed to the user as a recommendation. In some embodiments of the invention, the laundry treatment appliance, which may be included in the home network if necessary, can be triggered by an input on the mobile unit for preparing and/or executing the laundry treatment program.
Drawings
The following description of non-limiting embodiments gives further details of the invention. Here, reference is made to fig. 1 and 2. The figures show:
fig. 1 schematically shows a first embodiment of a system according to the invention for organizing laundry to be treated, with which a method according to the invention can be carried out;
fig. 2 schematically shows a second embodiment of the system according to the invention for organizing laundry to be treated, with which the method according to the invention can be carried out.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 schematically shows a first embodiment of a system 8 for organizing laundry 2 to be treated according to the invention, wherein a T-shirt is shown here to represent a multiplicity of laundry. The laundry 2 is provided with a transponder as a marking 6 and here the laundry 2 has been placed in the storage container 1. The transponder reader 3 is arranged in the upper region of the storage container 1 and is assigned to this storage container 1. In the embodiment shown here, the transponder reader 3 is equipped with an interface, not shown, for wirelessly communicating with an external server 11 in the cloud 5 as an analytical assessment device and with a database 7 assigned to the analytical assessment device. In the cloud 5, a personalized database is produced by inventorizing the information transmitted by the transponder reader 3 (including a detailed description of the position of the transponder reader 3, here the dirty-clothing receptacle 1), in which the laundry 2 present in the storage receptacle 1 and the properties of the laundry 2 associated with the laundry 2 are recorded, these properties being of significance for the washing of the laundry 2. In addition, a detailed description of the laundry care appliances present in the household concerned and their properties is also contained in this personalization database, since the laundry care appliances available for use also have an influence on the determination of the laundry batch in step (d). Furthermore, a display device 4 is shown, where the display device 4 is a smartphone. The results of the evaluation of the analysis in the cloud can be displayed on the smartphone, which results relate, for example, to the contents of the storage container 1 or to a recommendation for a laundry batch with the laundry to be washed. In short, the cloud 5 may translate the information contained therein into information relating to the user (e.g. into "green bedding in dirty laundry container"), send this information to the smartphone as display device 4 and display it on the display device 4.
Fig. 2 schematically shows a second embodiment for a system 8 according to the invention for organizing laundry 2 to be treated.
The second embodiment is illustrated diagrammatically and the concept "storage container" as used herein is to be interpreted broadly. That is, in the second embodiment, the storage container 1 is not a tangible container but generally refers to a place where the laundry 2 is stored. Although in principle a stationary reader 3 can also be used in this embodiment, for reasons of flexibility, a smartphone 3 is used here as the reader, which smartphone 3 is equipped to read the markings 6 by means of a suitable application program (App). In this embodiment, depending on the type of the marking 6, the user may need to scan in the marking 6 of the laundry 2 and also input the position of the laundry 2 (here the storage position for dirty laundry as the storage container 1).
The smartphone 3 is wirelessly connected to an external server 11 in the cloud 5 as an evaluation device and to the database 7 associated with the evaluation device. In the cloud 5, a list is made and a personal database is created therefrom, in which the laundry 2 present in the storage container 1 and the properties of the laundry 2 associated with this laundry 2 are recorded, which are relevant here for the washing of the laundry 2. In addition, as in the first embodiment, a detailed description of the laundry care appliances present in the household concerned and their properties is also contained in this personalization database, since the laundry care appliances available for use also have an influence on the determination of the laundry batch in step (d). Here, as the display device 4, a smartphone is used, which may be the same smartphone used as the reader 3 in the second embodiment. The results of the evaluation of the analysis in the cloud 5 can be displayed on the smartphone 4, for example in relation to the contents of the storage container 1 or in relation to a recommendation for a laundry batch with the laundry 2 to be washed.
