本发明涉及用于汽车等车辆的灯具,尤其涉及适用于能进行ADB(AdaptiveDriving Beam,自适应驱动光束)配光控制的前照灯(headlamp)那样的合适的车辆用灯具。
背景技术
作为汽车的前照灯,为了得到一方面提高自身车辆前方区域的照明效果、另一方面防止对存在于该前方区域的先行车或对向车等的在自身车辆的前方区域中存在的车辆(以下,称为“前方车辆”)发生眩惑的配光,作为方法之一,建议ADB配光控制。在该ADB配光控制中,通过车辆位置检测装置检测前方车辆,实行减少所检测到的存在前方车辆的区域的光量或对该区域熄灯、而对其它宽广区域进行明亮地照明的控制。
近年来,该ADB配光控制也适用于以LED等发光元件为光源的前照灯,将来自作为光源的多个LED的光,也就是各LED各自的照明区域合成,形成用于照明自身车辆的前方区域的配光。并且,采用以下结构:当检测到前方车辆时,使得与所检测到的前方车辆对应的照明区域的LED进行减光或熄灯。
在这样的ADB配光控制中,将从多个LED射出的白色光,用投影透镜投影到自身车辆的前方区域,形成多个照明区域,将这些照明区域适当组合合成,形成所需要的照明区域。但是,由于投影透镜引起的球面像差,例如色差,在各照明区域的周缘部发现光分散,有时产生照明区域中的视认性低下。
在专利文献1中,为了改善投影透镜的球面像差,尤其是色差,采用由凸透镜和凹透镜组成的双透镜,建议在上述凸透镜和凹透镜之间形成间隙的投影透镜。另外,也建议以非球面构成凸透镜和凹透镜的各面的投影透镜。

专利文献1的投影透镜对色差的改善有效,但非点像差和彗形像差不一定充分,因这些像差,多个照明区域的各周缘部以及合成的照明区域的周缘部的清晰度降低,照明区域的边界模糊。因此,在实行ADB控制的情况下,有时与减光或消光区域相邻的照明区域边界的光向前方车辆照射,担心对前方车辆产生眩惑。
发明内容
本发明就是鉴于这种状况而提出来的,其目的在于,提供设有能使得照明区域边界明确的高清晰度投影透镜的车辆用灯具。
本发明的车辆用灯具包括光源和投影从光源射出的光的投影透镜,所述投影透镜由三合透镜构成,所述三合透镜包括具有正的折射能力的第一透镜,具有负的折射能力的第二透镜,以及具有正的折射能力的第三透镜;所述第一透镜和所述第二透镜的第一透镜间距离t1,所述第二透镜和所述第三透镜的第二透镜间距离t2,以及所述投影透镜的透镜总厚度T具有以下关系:

下面说明本发明的效果:
根据本发明,通过设计使得由三合透镜构成的投影透镜的第一透镜和第二透镜的第一透镜间距离t1、第二透镜和第三透镜的第二透镜间距离t2、以及投影透镜的透镜光轴上的透镜总厚度T满足所规定的关系式,能抑制投影透镜的球面像差,提高清晰度。

在本发明一实施形态中,所述投影透镜4为了降低色差、非点像差、彗形像差,第一透镜41的前面(第一面)S1和后面(第二面)S2、第二透镜42的前面(第三面)S3和后面(第四面)S4、第三透镜43的前面(第五面)S5和后面(第六面)S6之中,至少第一面S1至第五面S5设计成非球面。在本实施形态中,第一面S1至第六面S6全部基于图4所示非球面定义式(1)设计为非球面。在此,z为下垂量,r为从光轴起算的径向尺寸,R为曲率半径,k为二次曲面常数(conic constant)、α1~α2是非球面系数。
在设有以上构成的投影透镜4的实施形态的前照灯HL中,由驾驶者切换灯开关51等,设定近光配光控制或远光配光控制。当近光配光控制时,通过发光电路5的控制,上层的四个LED芯片301~304发光。从所述LED芯片301~304射出的白色光由投影透镜4照射到汽车前方区域,在图5中,形成合成照明区域P1~P4的配光,也就是说,形成照明大体沿着通过透镜光轴Lx的水平线H的明暗截止线的下侧区域的近光配光。
当远光配光控制时,通过发光电路5的控制,下层的五个LED芯片305~309发光。从所述LED芯片305~309射出的白色光由投影透镜4照射到汽车前方区域,成为合成照明区域P5~P9的配光。该配光与上述近光配光P1~P4合成,形成照明宽广区域的远光配光。
另一方面,当由驾驶者设定ADB配光控制时,发光电路5原则上进行远光配光控制,同时,根据车载照相机52拍摄的图像,检测汽车前方区域存在的前方车辆。然后,控制使得与检测到的前方车辆重叠的照明区域、尤其照明领域P5~P9对应的LED芯片减光或消光。由此,前方车辆所在的照明区域被选择性地遮光,对于前方车辆防止眩惑,另一方面,实行提高在其他照明领域的视认性的ADB配光。
在此,为了用从各LED芯片301~309射出的光更明亮地照明汽车前方的宽广区域,优选尽量缩短投影透镜4的焦距,并且减小焦距比数(=f/D)。因此,在本实施形态中,如图6(a)所示,焦距f设计为57mm,透镜直径D设计为67mm。由此,焦距比数大致为0.85,可提高照明区域的照度。
另一方面,在该投影透镜4中,为了尽可能缩短焦距f,需要使得第一透镜41和第三透镜43的正的折射能力更大,并增大第一透镜间距离t1和第二透镜间距离t2。但是,若这样增大第一透镜间距离t1和第二透镜间距离t2,则必须增大第二透镜42的负的折射能力,由于增大该折射能力,非点像差或者高阶彗形像差易变得明显,投影透镜4的清晰度劣化。
若投影透镜中的色差或非点像差或彗形像差变得显著,则在从光源射出而投影在汽车前方的光源像产生所谓“模糊”,聚光的光的点径变大。因此,在本发明那样的灯单元2场合,在图5所示的各照明区域P1~P9的标有斜线的周边部,尤其离开透镜光轴Lx远的边缘部,清晰度下降,各照明区域边界模糊,视认性下降及配光品质下降明显,并且,担心对前方车辆产生眩惑。
于是,如上所述,设计投影透镜4的第一面S1~第六面S6,一边使得第一透镜间距离t1和第二透镜间距离t2变化,一边测定清晰度的变化。在此,从投影透镜4的前侧,即图6(a)的左侧入射所设定的光束径的光,测定聚光在右侧的焦点位置Fo的光的点半径。即,这是因为点半径越小,清晰度越高。在此,使得第一透镜间距离t1和第二透镜间距离t2相等,作为两者通用的透镜间距离t测定。
根据测定,如图6(b)所示,可知透镜间距离t相对透镜总厚度T的比值、即t/T在0.03<t/T<0.1范围内,能使得光点半径大体为25μm以下。也就是说,能够获得清晰度高的投影透镜。
如果t/T比此大,则光点半径增大,投影透镜4的清晰度降低。另一方面,若t/T小于0.03,则相邻透镜接近,互相干涉,透镜光轴外或光瞳端的光不通过,不会聚光在光点。因此,即使由于该原因,投影透镜4的清晰度也会下降。
虽然图示省略,但是,即使使得t1和t2不同场合,t1/T和t2/t与上述相同,通过设定为满足0.03<t1/T<0.1和0.03<t2/T<0.1,可以抑制光点半径,获得清晰度高的投影透镜。
这样,关于第一透镜间距离t1和第二透镜间距离t2,通过设计投影透镜4,使得满足上述关系,能提高图5所示的各照明区域P1~P9的标有斜线的周边部的清晰度,各照明区域的边界明确。由此,提高在照明区域的视认性,同时,能确实防止对于照明区域的边界区域存在的前方车辆的眩惑。
在以上说明的实施形态中,说明投影透镜的焦距比数为0.85的例子,但是,如果满足涉及所述t/T的条件式,则通过适用于焦距比数小于1.0的投影透镜,不会使投影透镜大型化,即,不会使透镜总厚度或透镜直径极端大,可以改善清晰度。
在本实施形态中,说明将第一面至第六面全部设计成非球面的例子,但是,在本发明中,至少第一面至第五面为非球面即可,因此,第六面也可以为球面。另外,即使第一透镜和第三透镜的凸透镜,以及第二透镜的凹透镜的两面朝相同方向弯曲的弯月透镜场合,也能适用本发明。
本实施形态表示由9个LED芯片构成光源、形成ADB配光的例子,但是,并不限于该ADB配光,能任意设定LED芯片的个数、照明区域的个数、各照明区域的图形形状。另外,作为光源,也可以适用于使用MEMS(微机电系统)反射镜阵列的前照灯。
当然,在上述实施形态中,作为诸参数所表示的数值不过是一例,也可以适当地设定为不同的值。
上面参照附图说明了本发明的实施形态,但本发明并不局限于上述实施形态。在本发明技术思想范围内可以作种种变更,它们都属于本发明的保护范围。

Claims (10)

1.一种车辆用灯具,包括光源和投影从光源射出的光的投影透镜,所述车辆用灯具以灯体和由透光性材料构成的前罩形成灯壳,灯单元内装在所述灯壳内,所述车辆用灯具的特征在于:
所述投影透镜由三合透镜构成,所述三合透镜包括具有正的折射能力的第一透镜,具有负的折射能力的第二透镜,以及具有正的折射能力的第三透镜;
所述第一透镜和所述第二透镜的第一透镜间距离t1,所述第二透镜和所述第三透镜的第二透镜间距离t2,以及所述投影透镜的透镜总厚度T具有以下关系:
0.03<t1/T<0.1以及
0.03<t2/T<0.1。
2.根据权利要求1中记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
所述第一透镜以及第三透镜由比所述第二透镜低分散的透光材料构成。
3.根据权利要求1中记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
所述第一透镜间距离t1和所述第二透镜间距离t2相等。
4.根据权利要求2中记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
所述第一透镜间距离t1和所述第二透镜间距离t2相等。
5.根据权利要求1~4中任一个记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
所述投影透镜的焦距比数小于1.0。
6.根据权利要求1~4中任一个记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
所述光源由多个发光元件构成,用所述投影透镜将从各发光元件射出的光投影,形成各自对应的多个照明区域。
7.根据权利要求5中任一个记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
所述光源由多个发光元件构成,用所述投影透镜将从各发光元件射出的光投影,形成各自对应的多个照明区域。
8.根据权利要求6中记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
对于所述多个发光元件个别进行发光控制,实行ADB配光控制。
9.根据权利要求7中记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
对于所述多个发光元件个别进行发光控制,实行ADB配光控制。
10.根据权利要求1~4中任一个记载的车辆用灯具,其特征在于:
至少所述第一透镜的第一面(S1)至第三透镜的第五面(S5)设计成非球面。
