Abstract
一种共晶瓷金材料,包含至少两种碳化物及一种耐火金属,其中该碳化物选自于TiC、VC、ZrC、HfC、WC、NbC、TaC,而该耐火金属为钨,其中碳化物与耐火金属能够于比各自熔点还要低、且高于共晶点的温度下,进行加热熔炼形成该共晶瓷金材料,由于透过形成共晶点来达到降低熔融温度,以熔融制备出具有细致层状结构的共晶瓷金材料,而制备出的共晶瓷金材料于高温环境下具有稳定的硬度表现之外,更具有高的韧性表现,因此本发明的共晶瓷金材料为一有用的工程材料。
Description
技术领域
本发明关于一种共晶瓷金材料,特别是一种能够将至少两种碳化物及一种耐火金属透过形成共晶点,来达到降低熔融温度,以熔融制备出具有层状结构的共晶瓷金工程材料。
背景技术
Cemented carbides为胶结碳化物,是一种由WC与Co组成的复合材料。十九世纪初,Henri Moissan人造合成碳化钨(WC)。碳化钨硬度高,原欲作为钻石的替代材料,却因存在易脆及孔洞等缺点,而不便用于工程上。1923年和Baumhauer发现碳化钨与钴或镍,经烧结制程后,可同时保有陶瓷材料的硬度,以及金属的韧性,这对模具工业,造成巨大影响,材料并广泛应用在切削工具、矿产采掘、与军事武器的部分零件上。原料钨约有60%用在胶结碳化物的生产上。1930年使用需求量为十公吨,2008年使用需求量则达五万公吨,78年内成长了5000倍。
胶结碳化物由两部份组成,一为强化相、另一为胶结相。如上述所提的碳化钨WC扮演着强化相的角色,拥有高熔点、高韧性、以及良好抗磨耗等特性,而钴则为胶结相,拥有金属良好的导电、导热性之外,还有提供最重要的特性--韧度,使复材不易脆裂。近年的研究,大多以WC与Co统硬质金属为基础,将强化相衍生出TiC与TaC等,胶结相衍生出Mo,Ni与Fe等,并通称这些材料为「瓷金复材」(Cermet composites);传统Hard metals硬质金属以及瓷金复材,主要生产制程为烧结法,并且将胶结相进行「少量」的多元添加;然而,上述以传统烧结法制成的超硬合金需担心复材致密度问题,且制程相对较复杂,成本较高,复材的工作温度也有其极限。
因此,若能够以熔炼方式进行制备材料,将能够克服上述问题,然而若是使用熔炼方式,其熔融温度往往都很高,故若能够依据不同的成份配比,使至少两种碳化物及一种耐火金属能够透过降低熔融温度来达到共晶点,并使制备出的瓷金材料具有共晶特性,且制备出的共晶瓷金材料于高温环境下具有稳定的硬度表现之外,更具有高的韧性表现,如此应为一最佳解决方案。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种共晶瓷金材料,其稳定性更好,熔融温度能得到降低,具有更好的性能。
为实现上述目的,本发明公开了一种共晶瓷金材料,该共晶瓷金材料的组成为至少两种碳化物及一种耐火金属,其特征在于:该两种碳化物选自于TiC、VC、ZrC、HfC、WC、NbC或TaC,而该耐火金属为钨,其中碳化物与耐火金属能够比各自熔点还要低的温度下,进行加热熔炼形成该共晶瓷金材料。
其中,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钽、铌、碳及钨,其中钽的成份比率占总成份的15~25%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的14~17%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的12~20%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的45~59%。
其中,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钛、钽、碳及钨,其中钛的成份比率占总成份的9~15%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的6~11%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的15~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的50~70%。
其中,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钛、钽、铌、碳及钨,其中钛的成份比率占总成份的7~11%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的17~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的55~68%。
其中,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钛、钽、铌、钒、碳及钨,其中钛的成份比率占总成份的7~11%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而钒的成份比率占总成份的2~5%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的19~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的47~64%。
其中,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钛、钽、铌、钒、锆、铪、碳及钨,其中钛的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而锆的成份比率占总成份的1~3%,而铪的成份比率占总成份的1~4%,而钒的成份比率占总成份的7~12%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的21~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的47~61%。
通过上述内容,本发明能实现如下技术效果:
1.本发明能够依据不同的成份配比,使至少两种碳化物及一种耐火金属能够透过形成共晶点来达到降低熔融温度,以熔融制备出具有层状结构的共晶瓷金材料,使制备出的瓷金材料具有共晶特性,且制备出的共晶瓷金材料于高温环境下具有稳定的硬度表现的外,更具有高的韧性表现。
2.本发明所使用的成份皆为耐火材料,因此具有良好的高温硬度表现,在1100℃高温下,未观察到复材有明显软化的现象;且本发明的复材是以熔炼作为制程,设计出好的共晶微结构,因此无须顾虑高温下会发生非连续相晶粒成长Ostwald ripening所衍生的机械性质下降问题,能够成为一个良好的高温复材。
3.由于本发明能够降低熔融温度来形成共晶瓷金材料,故能够降低熔炼难度,而熔炼出的制品更具有一定的硬度及韧性,且高温下的硬度稳定性好,因此非常是适用于一般产业的使用。

具体实施方式
有关于本发明其他技术内容、特点与功效,在以下配合参考图式的较佳实施例的详细说明中,将可清楚的呈现。
请参阅图1,其制备方法如下:
(1)本发明是将碳化物粉末(TiC、VC、ZrC、HfC、WC、NbC、TaC)充分混合后与钨金属块透过成份设计秤取所需重量,置于真空电弧熔炼炉的水冷铜模的凹槽中101;
(2)之后将真空电弧熔炼炉抽真空(将腔体压力抽至2.4×10-2torr)后,通纯氩气(Ar气体)使压力提升至8.0torr左右,并再度抽真空(抽至2.4×10-2torr,此通Ar气体再抽气的动作称为purge),而上述动作反复数次后,最后通Ar气体使腔体压力回到8.0torr并进行熔炼102;
(3)而熔炼完成后待试片冷却,将其翻面后再度熔炼,并反复此动作数次,以确保试片的均匀度,最后等待试片冷却后,使腔体压力回到1大气压,并取出所形成的共晶瓷金材料试片103。
而本发明会将不同碳化物及钨金属块透过成份设计,以能够透过形成共晶点来达到降低熔融温度,以熔融制备出具有层状结构的共晶瓷金材料,由图2至图8的微结构可知,主要含高熔点的Wss、MC与M2C的共晶结构。其中Wss为钨的固溶体,M为所含碳化合物MC与M2C的多元混合的过渡金属元素,故有2500℃以上的高熔点。
而第一种成份搭配样态的成份为钽(Ta)、铌(Nb)、碳(C)及钨(W),其中钽的成份比率占总成份的15~25%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的14~17%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的12~20%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的45~59%。
上述成份搭配样态于本发明中提出第一实施及第二实施,其中第一实施是A3N3-LS1(Ta18.37Nb16.12C18.22W47.29),由图2可知,将第一实施进行XRD分析后,能够显示本试片含有FCC结构的MC型碳化物固溶体以及BCC结构的W固溶体,而该第一实施更能够发现在树枝晶(黑色相)中析出层状共析结构,也就是过饱和的碳化物固溶体析出钨的反应(Carbide→Carbide’+Wss)。
而上述成份搭配样态的第二实施是A3N3-LS2(Ta23.31Nb15.07C13.26W48.36),由图3可知,将第二实施进行XRD分析后,能够显示本试片含有FCC结构的MC型碳化物固溶体以及BCC结构的W固溶体,而该第二实施亦能够发现在树枝晶(黑色相)中析出有部份的层状结构。
而本发明第二种成份搭配样态的成份为钛(Ti)、钽(Ta)、碳(C)及钨(W),其中钛的成份比率占总成份的9~15%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的6~11%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的15~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的50~70%。
上述成份搭配样态于本发明中提出第三实施及第四实施,其中第三实施是T3A3-LS1(Ti11.26Ta7.03C17.59W64.12),由图4可知,将第三实施进行XRD分析后,能够显示本试片含有FCC结构的MC型碳化物固溶体以及BCC结构的W固溶体,而该第三实施更能够发现在树枝晶(黑色相)中析出层状共析结构,也就是过饱和的碳化物固溶体析出钨的反应(Carbide→Carbide’+Wss)。
而上述成份搭配样态的第四实施是T3A3-LS2(Ti10.85Ta8.05C21.96W59.14),由图5可知,将第四实施进行XRD分析后,能够显示本试片含有FCC结构的MC型碳化物固溶体、HCP结构的M2C型碳化物固溶体以及BCC结构的W固溶体,而该第四实施亦能够发现在树枝晶(黑色相)中析出层状共析结构,也就是过饱和的碳化物固溶体析出钨的反应(Carbide→Carbide’+Wss)。
而本发明第三种成份搭配样态的成份为钛(Ti)、钽(Ta)、铌(Nb)、碳(C)及钨(W),其中钛的成份比率占总成份的7~11%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的17~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的55~68%。
上述成份搭配样态于本发明中提出第五实施,其中第五实施是NT3a-LS(Ti9.61Ta5.72Nb5.63C19.69W59.35),由图6可知,将第五实施进行XRD分析后,能够显示本试片含有FCC结构的MC型碳化物固溶体以及BCC结构的W固溶体,而该第五实施更能够发现在树枝晶(黑色相)中析出层状共析结构,也就是过饱和的碳化物固溶体析出钨的反应(Carbide→Carbide’+Wss)。
而本发明第四种成份搭配样态的成份为钛(Ti)、钽(Ta)、铌(Nb)、钒(V)、碳(C)及钨(W),其中钛的成份比率占总成份的7~11%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而钒的成份比率占总成份的2~5%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的19~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的47~64%。
上述成份搭配样态于本发明中提出第六实施,其中第六实施是NT3aVW-LS(Ti8.58Ta5.83Nb5.29V3.06C21.99W55.25),由图7可知,将第六实施进行XRD分析后,能够显示本试片含有FCC结构的MC型碳化物固溶体以及BCC结构的W固溶体,而该第六实施更能够发现在树枝晶(黑色相以及初晶的黑色MC相)中析出层状共析结构,也就是过饱和的碳化物固溶体析出钨的反应(Carbide→Carbide’+Wss)。
而本发明第五种成份搭配样态的成份为钛(Ti)、钽(Ta)、铌(Nb)、钒(V)、锆(Zr)、铪(Hf)、碳(C)及钨(W),其中钛的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而锆的成份比率占总成份的1~3%,而铪的成份比率占总成份的1~4%,而钒的成份比率占总成份的7~12%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的21~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的47~61%。
上述成份搭配样态于本发明中提出第七实施,其中第七实施是C7M1-LS(Ti4.69Ta4.84Nb4.53Zr1.94Hf2.73V9.27C23W49),由图8可知,将第七实施进行XRD分析后,能够显示本试片含有FCC结构的MC型碳化物固溶体、HCP结构的M2C型碳化物固溶体以及BCC结构的W固溶体,而该第七实施更能够发现一些稀疏的黑色条状MC相,和在灰色M2C相的周围有部份的层状结构。
而将上述几种实施进行硬度及破裂韧性比较,请参考以下表1,上述几个层状结构试片硬度大约都在1000HV左右,硬度最高的为T3A3-LS2试片有1199HV,而在上数层状结构的试片中,硬度和韧性是成正比的,硬度较高的试片韧性通常会较低,因此一个高硬度的层状结构试片,也可以同时得到一个高韧性的成分,这也证明了本发明的试片中含有层状结构,则此结构可以有效帮助其同时提升硬度以及韧性。

而将上述几种实施与商用超硬合金WC6-Co(94wt.%WC-6wt.%Co以烧结方式制成)于高温环境下进行比较,如图9所示,本发明层状结构列的试片没有硬度剧烈下降的现象,表示复材尚未达到其耐温极限,主要是因为本列试片中含有大量的耐火金属如:W,Nb,Ta等等。
再如图10所示,而试片1100℃硬度相对室温时的下降比例大约落在29至48%之间,本发明的实施例在1100℃时硬度下降幅度最低的试片为C7M1-LS,从室温到1100℃只有下降29%的硬度,由于其下降比例很低,故很适合应用在高温环境下。
本发明所提供的共晶瓷金材料,与其他习用技术相互比较时,其优点如下:
1.本发明能够依据不同的成份配比,使至少两种碳化物及一种耐火金属能够透过形成共晶点来达到降低熔融温度,以熔融制备出具有层状结构的共晶瓷金材料,使制备出的瓷金材料具有共晶特性,且制备出的共晶瓷金材料于高温环境下具有稳定的硬度表现之外,更具有高的韧性表现。
2.本发明所使用的成份皆为耐火材料,因此具有良好的高温硬度表现,在1100℃高温下,未观察到复材有明显软化的现象;且本发明的复材是以熔炼作为制程,设计出好的共晶微结构,因此无须顾虑高温下会发生非连续相晶粒成长Ostwald ripening所衍生的机械性质下降问题,能够成为一个良好的高温复材。
3.由于本发明能够降低熔融温度来形成共晶瓷金材料,故能够降低熔炼难度,而熔炼出的制品更具有一定的硬度及韧性,且高温下的硬度稳定性好,因此非常是适用于一般产业的使用。
本发明已透过上述的实施例揭露如上,然其并非用以限定本发明,任何熟悉此一技术领域具有通常知识者,在了解本发明前述的技术特征及实施例,并在不脱离本发明的精神和范围内,当可作些许的更动与润饰,因此本发明的专利保护范围须视本说明书所附的权利要求所界定者为准。
Claims (6)
1.一种共晶瓷金材料,该共晶瓷金材料的组成为至少两种碳化物及一种耐火金属,其特征在于:该两种碳化物选自于TiC、VC、ZrC、HfC、WC、NbC或TaC,而该耐火金属为钨,其中碳化物与耐火金属能够比各自熔点还要低的温度下,进行加热熔炼形成该共晶瓷金材料。
2.如权利要求1所述的共晶瓷金材料,其特征在于,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钽、铌、碳及钨,其中钽的成份比率占总成份的15~25%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的14~17%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的12~20%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的45~59%。
3.如权利要求1所述的共晶瓷金材料,其特征在于,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钛、钽、碳及钨,其中钛的成份比率占总成份的9~15%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的6~11%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的15~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的50~70%。
4.如权利要求1所述的共晶瓷金材料,其特征在于,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钛、钽、铌、碳及钨,其中钛的成份比率占总成份的7~11%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的17~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的55~68%。
5.如权利要求1所述的共晶瓷金材料,其特征在于,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钛、钽、铌、钒、碳及钨,其中钛的成份比率占总成份的7~11%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的4~7%,而钒的成份比率占总成份的2~5%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的19~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的47~64%。
6.如权利要求1所述的共晶瓷金材料,其特征在于,该共晶瓷金材料的成份包含钛、钽、铌、钒、锆、铪、碳及钨,其中钛的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而钽的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而铌的成份比率占总成份的3~7%,而锆的成份比率占总成份的1~3%,而铪的成份比率占总成份的1~4%,而钒的成份比率占总成份的7~12%,而碳的成份比率占总成份的21~25%,而钨的成份比率占总成份的47~61%。
