Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. It is to be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not limiting of the invention. It should be further noted that, for the convenience of description, only some of the structures related to the present invention are shown in the drawings, not all of the structures.
As described in the background, display panels typically include a cutout area for placement and mounting of a camera. In the process of preparation or transportation of the display panel, friction inevitably exists, which causes static electricity to be generated, the generated static electricity easily enters the display panel from the hole digging area of the display panel, the existing display panel cannot release the static electricity by arranging a circle of floating silicon rings around the hole digging area for protection, and the static electricity still enters the display panel through the hole digging area, which affects the display effect of the display panel. The prior art further includes a scheme of designing a ground trace at the edge of the hole digging area and guiding static electricity out of the display panel through the ground trace, however, the ground trace needs to penetrate through the sealant around the hole digging area, so that the sealant may have a risk of falling off, and the performance of the display panel may also be affected. In view of the foregoing problems, embodiments of the present invention provide a driving method for a display panel, so as to discharge static electricity entering the display panel from a hole digging region on the premise of ensuring the display effect and good performance of the display panel.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a driving method of a display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of a display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the display panel shown in fig. 2 can be driven by the driving method of the display panel shown in fig. 1, and referring to fig. 2, the display panel includes a display area 110, a first non-display area 120, and a second non-display area 130, the display area 110 surrounds the first non-display area 120, the first non-display area 120 is provided with a through hole 121, the through hole 121 penetrates through the display panel, the display panel further includes a plurality of display driving signal lines, and a part of the display driving signal lines penetrates through the first non-display area 120;
referring to fig. 1 and 2, a driving method of a display panel includes:
step 100, outputting a ground signal to at least a part or all of the display driving signal lines passing through the first non-display area 120 in a preset time period.
The display driving lines may be data lines (D1, D2, and D3 … … in fig. 1) or scan lines (G1, G2, and G3 … … in fig. 1), the plurality of scan lines may be disposed along the first direction x, the plurality of data lines may be disposed along the second direction y, and the data lines and the scan lines intersect to define a plurality of pixel units. When the display panel displays the images, for each frame of display image, scanning signals are required to be sequentially input to pixels of each row through scanning lines, and data signals are sequentially written into the pixels through data lines, so that the display panel can normally display each frame of image. By outputting the ground signal to at least a part or all of the display driving signal lines, i.e., the scan lines and/or the data lines, passing through the first non-display region 120 in a preset time period, when external static electricity enters the display panel through the through holes 121, the static electricity is timely discharged through the scan lines and/or the data lines, display abnormality caused by static electricity invading into the display panel is prevented, normal display of the display panel is ensured, and damage caused by static electricity invading into the display panel is prevented. In addition, by the scheme of outputting the ground signal to the display driving signal line in the preset time period, a ground trace does not need to be separately designed on the periphery of the through hole 121, so that the frame adhesive falling risk caused by the fact that the ground trace penetrates through the frame adhesive on the periphery of the through hole 121 in the prior art is avoided, and the good display performance of the display panel is ensured.
Optionally, the preset time period is a frame-to-frame time period and/or a touch time period. Because the time slot between frames is in the holding stage of the display picture, and the storage capacitor in the pixel circuit has the charge holding function, the scanning signal is not required to be output to the scanning line at the moment, and the data signal is not required to be output to the data line, therefore, the grounding signal can be output to the scanning line and/or the data line in the time slot between frames, the static electricity entering the display panel can be released in time on the premise of not influencing the display effect, and the normal display of the display panel is ensured. In a relatively short time period, the touch control time period is also a holding period of one frame of display image, and the grounding signal is output to the scanning line and/or the data line, so that the static electricity entering the display panel can be released in time on the premise of not influencing the display effect, and the normal display of the display panel is ensured.

In addition, by outputting the ground signal to the data line or all the data lines passing through the first non-display region 120 in the preset time period T, the data driving circuit 132 does not need to separately design a ground trace on the periphery of the through hole 121, thereby avoiding the risk of frame adhesive falling caused by the ground trace passing through the frame adhesive on the periphery of the through hole 121 in the prior art, and ensuring good display performance of the display panel.
