Technical problem to be solved by the invention
As disclosed in patent document 1, when the side cover is configured by combining a plurality of vehicle covers, a part of the side cover can be easily changed, but on the other hand, the number of parts increases as the number of mounting steps increases due to an increase in the number of mounting positions when the side cover is assembled.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle body cover structure of a saddle-riding type vehicle, which can efficiently assemble a side cover while suppressing an increase in the number of components.
Technical solution for solving technical problem
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is a saddle-ride type vehicle including a vehicle seat supported by a vehicle body frame, and a side cover disposed at least partially below the vehicle seat in a side view and covering a part of the vehicle body frame from a side, wherein the side cover is configured by a side cover main body attached to the vehicle body frame, and a sub-cover detachably attached to the side cover main body, and a lower edge of the side cover has a bent portion protruding downward in a front-rear direction middle portion in the side view and is formed in a V-shape, a top-bottom width of a front portion of the side cover extending forward of the bent portion in the side cover is set larger than a top-bottom width of a rear portion of the side cover extending rearward of the bent portion, and the sub-cover forms a part of the lower edge of the front portion of the side cover and is detachably attached to the side cover main body, the upper end portions of the front portions of the pair of left and right side covers are connected by a top cover, and the lower end portions of the side covers are connected by a bottom cover.
In addition to the first characteristic configuration, the present invention has a second characteristic in that the side cover body is provided with an opening portion covered with the sub cover.
In addition to the second characteristic configuration, the present invention has a third characteristic in that an uneven portion is formed in the side cover main body at a position adjacent to the opening portion.
In addition to any one of the first to third features, the present invention has a fourth feature that a projection that bulges outward in the vehicle width direction is formed on the side cover rear portion so as to extend rearward from the bent portion.
A fifth aspect of the present invention is summarized as that in any one of the first to fourth aspects, a front cover that covers a front portion of the bottom cover from above connects front portions of a pair of left and right side covers.
In addition to any one of the first to fifth features, the present invention has a sixth feature in that a fuel tank disposed in front of the vehicle seat and a storage box disposed below the vehicle seat and having a front end portion extending to a lower side of the fuel tank are covered by the side cover from a side, and an abutting support portion abutting an inner surface of the side cover is provided at the front end portion of the storage box.
ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION
According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the side cover is constituted by the side cover main body and the sub cover, the side cover is constituted by two components which are a minimum number of components, the side cover can be efficiently assembled, and an increase in the number of components can be suppressed. Further, the lower edge of the side cover has a bent portion protruding downward at a front-rear direction middle portion in a side view and is formed in a V-shape, and the sub-cover forms a part of the lower edge of the side cover front portion extending forward from the bent portion in the side cover and is detachably attached to the side cover main body.
Further, according to the second aspect of the present invention, since the opening portion covered with the sub cover is provided in the side cover main body, the maintenance of the equipment covered from the side by the side cover can be improved by detaching the sub cover from the side cover main body.
According to the third aspect of the present invention, since the uneven portion is formed in the side cover main body at a position adjacent to the opening, the rigidity of the side cover main body around the opening can be improved.
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, since the projecting portion formed at the side cover rear portion bulges outward in the vehicle width direction and extends rearward from the curved portion, the rigidity of the side cover rear portion can be improved.
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the front portions of the pair of left and right side covers are connected by the front cover, and therefore, the rigidity of the side covers can be further improved.
Further, according to the sixth aspect of the present invention, since the storage box disposed below the vehicle seat is covered from the side by the side cover together with the fuel tank disposed at the front portion of the vehicle seat, and the contact support portion provided at the front end portion of the storage box extending below the fuel tank is brought into contact with the inner surface of the side cover, it is possible to suppress an increase in the number of components and suppress vibration of the side cover.
